Bullying The Sister-In-Law - Chapter 44
Liu Chengxu’s eyes were brimming with tears. She tried very hard to hold them back, taking a deep breath.
No matter how slow Su Zhiluo was, she understood now and asked, “Is there something you’re uncertain about?”
“I’m just surprised.”
“Haven’t you ever hoped for this before?”
“I did, but I didn’t dare.”
Su Zhiluo laughed, her voice a little mischievous: “When I came, I was anticipating your reaction…” She paused again, then said, “I didn’t bring many things with me; I used express delivery for everything. Carrying a bunch of stuff would have been a bit messy.”
She liked to look good and wanted to appear glamorous.
She certainly surprised Liu Chengxu.
Su Zhiluo reached out her hand to her. Liu Chengxu went to take it, but Su Zhiluo suddenly pulled back. She opened her bag and continued rummaging inside. Liu Chengxu went over to help. She pulled out a bouquet of roses and said, “Here, but I brought these for you.”
Liu Chengxu smiled, nearly bursting into tears.
Su Zhiluo asked, “Do you like them?”
Liu Chengxu nodded, hugging the flowers.
Su Zhiluo looked down, searching in her bag for a moment, and took out a little purple rabbit, handing it over.
Liu Chengxu reached out and pulled the person into a hug, gently rubbing her chin against her hair: “I love you.”
Su Zhiluo smiled, then handed her a lipstick and a bracelet. Everything else could be delivered, but the gifts for her had to be delivered personally. She had brought a bag full of gifts.
She wanted to see her reaction before coming, which is why she ran across several streets to buy her gifts. She got her wish and saw the moving expression on Liu Chengxu’s face, though she looked pitiful, always seeming on the verge of tears.
“Okay,” Su Zhiluo thought she shouldn’t tease her this meanly again. She said, “Let’s go see the place you live.”
Liu Chengxu said, “It’s quite small.”
“Then let’s buy a bigger one.”
It was an old, small residential area with average surroundings.
Su Zhiluo thought she definitely needed to buy her a better house and said, “How do we buy it? You take a look. I’m not good at calculations. I’ll leave the money with you.”
Liu Chengxu didn’t dare take her sister-in-law’s money because she invested in stocks.
After walking quite a few steps, Su Zhiluo said, “Aren’t you going to hold my hand?”
Liu Chengxu currently lacked the ability to think or act. She turned her head to look at Su Zhiluo, looking exactly like she did when she was a child, holding back tears after being wronged.
Liu Chengxu carried her bag up to the apartment.
Two years ago, Liu Chengxu shared a rental, living with roommates. Now her salary was higher, and she rented a studio for herself.
Liu Chengxu said, “If we buy here, we should be able to get a second-hand place.”
“The renovation will be new,” Su Zhiluo said. “The important thing is that we’re happy living in it.”
“Have you eaten?”
Su Zhiluo shook her head.
The plane ticket was cheap, but Su Zhiluo was prone to airsickness. She was still dizzy when she arrived at the complex gate, but seeing Liu Chengxu made all her symptoms disappear.
The living room and kitchen were connected. The layout wasn’t bad, and Liu Chengxu’s tidiness made the space look very comfortable. Su Zhiluo walked into the bedroom and immediately saw the photo they took together that she had forcefully taken away back then. Liu Chengxu had placed it on her desk.
Liu Chengxu noticed she was looking and quickly tried to hide it, worried it might bring back bad memories.
Su Zhiluo shifted her gaze to other parts of the room, then saw her own clothes on the bed. Su Zhiluo walked over, wanting a closer look. Liu Chengxu reacted, almost directly pouncing to cover the clothes.
Su Zhiluo’s expression was confused. The duvet had covered the clothes completely, making them look like a doll. Liu Chengxu was flushed, her mouth moving for a long time. Su Zhiluo’s ears also turned red. She stammered dryly, “This symptom of yours, I think I’ve seen it in that… that… novel.”
Liu Chengxu knew her sister-in-law’s novels were often quite that kind, and she quickly interjected, “I’m not a pervert, I just…”
“I’m used to being with you. Every time we separate, I need some time to adjust.”
“Oh, so that’s it…”
Su Zhiluo thought she might have had some kind of skin hunger syndrome.
She felt quite awkward standing there, so she took a step back. Liu Chengxu took out the clothes and started folding them. Su Zhiluo sat on the chair, watching her. In that moment, she thought of many things. For example, Liu Chengxu repeatedly asked if she had come here for work, confirming this fact again and again, which definitely showed a lack of confidence.
Su Zhiluo said, “Everything was settled over there, so I hurried right over.”
“I came specifically for you. I was thinking of coming to find you before. Wasn’t that when Meng Zhengyue got married?”
“But Meng Zhengyue’s wife passed away unexpectedly, so I didn’t go back.”
Su Zhiluo replied, “I saw the news. I thought you might come back for the funeral, so I waited for you at home.”
Liu Chengxu slowed her actions. She placed the folded clothes aside and sat on the edge of the bed. “Come here for a moment.”
Su Zhiluo walked to her side. Liu Chengxu wrapped her arms around her waist, pressing her cheek against her side, hugging and rubbing against her. Su Zhiluo’s hand slowly rested on her shoulder, patting it gently, and she said softly, “I wasn’t good to you before. I’m sorry.”
“I don’t feel like you owe me an apology,” Liu Chengxu answered seriously. “I feel that, in the past, I was in the process of seeking love. No matter how heartbreaking it was back then, it wasn’t your fault. But if I’m not good to you in the future, then there’s a problem. The fact that I put you in such a difficult position, making you step out of your own thoughts to accept my love, shows how good you are, and how much you love me.”
Su Zhiluo said, “Mm,” and then, “I love you.”
Liu Chengxu was practically on the verge of tears at that moment.
Su Zhiluo tilted her head to look at her, her fingers resting on her shoulder, patting her gently twice. She thought she should express herself more in the future, or else Liu Chengxu would always be guessing and speculating. Liu Chengxu thought Su Zhiluo was comforting her and leaned into her dependently until Su Zhiluo said, “Lift your head.”
Liu Chengxu lifted her head.
Su Zhiluo gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, leaned close to her lips, and kissed her.
Liu Chengxu gripped her waist very tightly. Su Zhiluo initiated the kiss; her kiss, like her person, was gentle and reserved. Su Zhiluo sat on her lap, her arms resting on her shoulders. When they broke apart for a second, Liu Chengxu hadn’t finished breathing and kissed her again. After kissing her three times in a row, Su Zhiluo ran her fingers through her hair and said, “I’m going to take a shower.”
Liu Chengxu held her hand and placed it on her chest; her heartbeat hammered like thunder. She said, “Kiss me again.”
Su Zhiluo cupped her face with both hands, pressing her lips against hers. Compared to Su Zhiluo’s kiss, Liu Chengxu’s was more aggressive; if she felt it wasn’t enough, she would keep seeking it from Su Zhiluo. Su Zhiluo patiently gave it to her, but just a touch made her let go and try to feel her forehead. Su Zhiluo said, “You’re so hot, do you have a fever?”
“I’m too excited,” Liu Chengxu whispered.
Her voice sounded very pitiful.
Su Zhiluo held her and let her calm down for a while, then took off her grey knit cardigan and went to the adjacent bathroom. The bathroom was especially narrow, making it very cramped for two people.
In the old days, when the water was shut off in their old apartment, they often showered together. That was often accompanied by power outages, so it was always pitch black.
Su Zhiluo took off her coat. She proactively helped Liu Chengxu undo the buttons of her shirt, dipping her head slightly to kiss her collarbone. As the buttons were undone further, her lips followed, kissing all the way down, and then her nimble fingers helped unbuckle her pants.
At this moment, Su Zhiluo was acting much like she did when she was drunk before: active, seductive, and enticing when she wanted something.
However, Su Zhiluo wasn’t drunk today.
Liu Chengxu’s casual long pants were hooked down by Su Zhiluo’s fingers. Su Zhiluo slowly squatted down, tucked the hanging hair behind her ear, and asked her, “Do you want me to help you like this later?”
