Bullying The Sister-In-Law - Chapter 34
Recently, Liu Chengxu often saw a video where a blogger heavily edited a message from their secret crush to make it say what they wanted to see.
It was hilarious to watch, but doing it herself felt like a pathetic joke.
She took a screenshot of their chat history.
Liu Chengxu: Let’s meet again.
Su Zhiluo: Too far, censored come censored.
She kept editing.
Su Zhiluo: Censored], censored come censored.
Again.
Su Zhiluo: I love you, come quickly.
Liu Chengxu used black ink to fill in the censored boxes, stroke by stroke, sewing up her shattered heart, stitch by stitch.
Clutching this repeatedly revised “admission ticket,” she secretly went to Guangzhou.
On the clear morning of her arrival, she bumped into Su Zhiluo, who was coming out to take out the trash. Originally, she had only planned to see Su Zhiluo once and leave, maintaining the last shred of her pride.
The two stared at each other in the morning light. Su Zhiluo tucked the loose strands of hair behind her ear and said, “You came.”
This time, Liu Chengxu held nothing in her hands, which hung by her denim jeans. Her throat was dry, and her heart pounded relentlessly.
She removed her earphones, which weren’t even playing music, and found an excuse: “I’ve packed my things and moved out. You can terminate the lease whenever you want. I came to pick up the rest of my stuff.”
At this moment, her heart ached so much she couldn’t move. Su Zhiluo could only watch her quietly. Su Zhiluo struggled to hear what she was saying, replied with an “Okay,” threw away the trash, and led Liu Chengxu upstairs.
A lot of things were piled up in the center of the living room. Liu Chengxu suppressed her pain and asked, “Are you moving?”
Su Zhiluo replied, “Those are Chang Ruyin’s things. Yang Jie is moving here. She doesn’t want a long-distance relationship anymore.”
Liu Chengxu asked, “Isn’t Yang Jie a technical backbone and a shareholder?”
“Her company established a branch factory, and it happens to be in Guangzhou. Yang Jie applied to transfer here to bring her expertise. She’s now a company executive, a vice president,” Su Zhiluo explained.
Yang Jie had always been outstanding. She graduated from college, had family connections, a house, and a car. Most importantly, she was a good person—she immediately requested leave to find Chang Ruyin when she couldn’t reach her, and now she was willing to move closer to Chang Ruyin.
Liu Chengxu knew that if it weren’t for herself, Su Zhiluo could have had a stable life with Yang Jie, without having to worry about buying a rented apartment. She could have lived with Yang Jie and truly moved on.
It was Liu Chengxu, a living relic, who had trapped Su Zhiluo in place.
She both longed for Su Zhiluo to walk out of the shadow and used an invisible chain to tie her to the spot. This contradiction coiled around her heart like a poisonous vine, and most disturbingly, she found a strange comfort in this pathological bond.
Su Zhiluo is naturally mine.
My sister found her for me; my sister blesses us.
This small rental apartment was filled with traces of Liu Chengxu: the Doraemon wind chime tucked into the bookshelf gap, the certificates and awards specifically displayed on one cleared shelf. Every item was placed there by her own hand.
She hadn’t brought a backpack, so she had to stuff her belongings into her arms.
Su Zhiluo watched from the side.
As Liu Chengxu reached for the photo frame on the bedside table, Su Zhiluo’s action was quicker than her thought; her hand covered Liu Chengxu’s: “This… don’t take this one.”
“I gave this to you back then, and you didn’t want it?” Liu Chengxu said.
Su Zhiluo calmly replied, “I didn’t not want it. Aren’t we still family?”
Liu Chengxu gazed at her face.
She saw clear pain on Su Zhiluo’s face. Liu Chengxu stood by the desk, and the things in her arms clattered to the floor.
For a long time, they just sat there. Liu Chengxu walked over to her side and knelt on the floor, looking up at Su Zhiluo.
The door was closed, the air conditioning wasn’t on, and the heat in the room enveloped them.
“But family doesn’t do this, right?”
Liu Chengxu asked in a low voice, her fingertips gently tracing the skin beneath Su Zhiluo’s clothes, her palm warmly conforming to her waistline.
If they were just simple family, they couldn’t do this.
It didn’t start with the lips. Her hands captured Su Zhiluo, hooking onto the edge and taking her into her mouth, as if to prove a point. She bit down hard, seizing that one part, fiercely sucking, fiercely, trying to draw out the milk from her sister-in-law’s breast.
Liu Chengxu held Su Zhiluo’s hand and placed it on her face, in a posture that said, Go ahead and kill me.
Liu Chengxu swallowed ceaselessly, then switched to the other breast. No sister-in-law would feed her sister-in-law, no one would let her lover’s sister eat her.
The soft sweetness of a woman filled her palm.
She heard her sister-in-law moan.
She let go and whispered into Su Zhiluo’s ear.
“Do you know who taught me this? I never watched any educational videos. I learned it from you.”
Liu Chengxu said, “Sometimes when I came back from night class, I’d hear you in the shower. Your cries were very quiet. Also, a few times when I secretly came home, I saw you touching yourself. Once, you even called out the wrong name. You called out Chengxu.”
“You were satisfying yourself and calling out the wrong name.”
“And so many other times, I’d come home for the holidays, and you wouldn’t do anything. But as soon as I left, you would.”
“If you don’t like me, would you use me as a fantasy object?”
Liu Chengxu’s tears dropped onto her knees. “You were so good to me, giving me your heart, giving me everything. I couldn’t control myself. It’s not that you don’t love me; it’s that I’m forcing you. I’ve ruined half your life.”
The more she spoke, the harder she sucked. Su Zhiluo was overwhelmed with shame and pain. She had been in that state for so long that she couldn’t distinguish which name she had called out… She wished Liu Chengxu would just force her, would take everything to the limit, so she wouldn’t have to think clearly anymore.
She enveloped Su Zhiluo’s lips with her own, kissing her. She licked her; it was very soft. She switched to her finger, then looked up to kiss Su Zhiluo’s lips again.
She said, “Call out Chengxu.”
Her body was more honest than she expected. She was already responding to Liu Chengxu’s finger with a kiss. She bit her lip tightly and cried out through her tears, “Chengxu.”
As the finger root slipped inside, she cried out again.
“Liu Chengxu.”
Liu Chengxu only used one finger.
Just like the first time she timidly reached for Su Zhiluo’s hand, first tentatively brushing her hand, then suddenly grasping it tightly. Now, with just one finger, she brought their tense relationship to the brink of collapse, reaching a climax.
“I’m leaving Beishi.” She had prepared a belly full of harsh words before coming, wanting Su Zhiluo to also taste the pain of losing her, but the moment she saw her, all those words vanished.
Just think of me often in your dreams from now on.
The weather was hot that afternoon.
Liu Chengxu squatted on the floor, packing her things. She took one of Su Zhiluo’s backpacks. Su Zhiluo silently put on her underwear and sat on the edge of the bed. One didn’t beg, the other didn’t try to hold her back. They sat in silence. The sex had stabilized both their emotions.
The cicadas were noisy, and the fierce light beat down on her shoulders.
Su Zhiluo stood by the window, watching her figure gradually disappear. Her gaze swept over the bedside table, which was empty. The pain in her heart began again.
The scene didn’t feel like summer; it was like the blurred mist of late autumn, indistinct and unclear.
After a long while, she snapped out of it and wiped away her tears.
Liu Chengxu took her luggage and went to another city.
Su Zhiluo sent a message: Tell me if you need money.
Liu Chengxu: I won’t come back to you, never. You’ve lost me, Su Zhiluo, you’ve completely lost me.
Su Zhiluo: Are you crying?
Liu Chengxu: I’m just telling you this.
I won’t tell you where I am going. From now on, I will do as you said, and I will forget you.
She typed out those heartless words, venting fiercely.
Before winter set in in Beishi, Su Zhiluo returned to the rental apartment.
Pushing open the door, she was hit by the smell of mold. Mold covered the walls, and cobwebs swayed in the corners. This was the house’s original appearance. She suddenly understood that she had never loved this house, but the home Liu Chengxu had meticulously created while waiting for her here.
Liu Chengxu had lied to her.
She hadn’t packed the luggage in the house at all; her belongings were still scattered everywhere.
Su Zhiluo carefully tidied up, meticulously packing each item.
Finally, she looked at the washing machine. The joy of that time had long faded. Now she could afford a much better one, yet she couldn’t bear to discard this one. She contacted a logistics company to ship it to Guangzhou. The person subtly advised her that it wasn’t worth the cost and suggested selling it used. Su Zhiluo silently handed over the shipping order, turned, and dragged two large boxes from under the bed, personally wrapping them layer by layer in bubble wrap.
She spent a day and a night cleaning up the mess.
For the next two years, they did not see each other again.
During those two years, Liu Chengxu’s parents were dismissed from the factory and constantly harassed Su Zhiluo, throwing tantrums and trying to get information, but Su Zhiluo always said she didn’t know where Liu Chengxu had gone.
In fact, Su Zhiluo knew she was in S City. Every year on her birthday, she would receive gifts sent from her: from perfume to luxury handbags, from high heels to cosmetics, each item bearing the stamp of S City fashion.
Twenty-year-old Su Zhiluo had loved beauty, carefully dressing herself and wearing pretty skirts. Now, a decade later, all the beauty she had once desired was delivered by another person via express package.
For the first two months, Su Zhiluo frequently received text messages from Liu Chengxu.
The first: I hate you.
The second: Hate you.
Then, Liu Chengxu was overwhelmed by an emotional backlash and sent several extreme messages—she missed her, yet hated her. She forcefully endured the emotional rebound period and stopped contacting Su Zhiluo to torment her.
At the end of the year, Su Zhiluo received a bank transfer notification.
The first year, five hundred thousand.
The second year, Su Zhiluo asked her to return to Beishi to sign some papers. Liu Chengxu didn’t come back, said “Congratulations,” and transferred another 1.5 million. The next message didn’t get sent; her sister-in-law returned all the money and blocked her.
A lot had happened in the three years since Liu Chengxu left.
For instance, Cha Baomei carried a camera to Africa to film animal documentaries. Also, Meng Zhengyue was opening a studio and started dating someone. There was a considerable age gap, and initially, no one approved, but the person was a wealthy woman, so everyone eventually thought it was acceptable. Meng Zhengyue invited them to her wedding. She was marrying into a wealthy family.
This event became the catalyst for them to meet.
One night, she tried to dial a number. It connected.
