Bullying The Sister-In-Law - Chapter 21.2
Aunt Zhang stood at the door and called out, “Chengxu must be happy now that your sister-in-law is back! What delicious food are you going to cook for her?”
Liu Chengxu didn’t respond, but the sound of the call made the situation feel especially real. Aunt Zhang continued to tease her, “You wouldn’t believe it; she’s so stubborn! She just wouldn’t come over to our house to eat. But your Chengxu is very capable. She dried a lot of preserved fish, saying she wanted you to take it to Guangzhou, Zhiluo. You are truly blessed.”
Su Zhiluo nodded gently, the tips of her hair catching the sunlight streaming into the room, creating a subtle halo of light.
After finishing her conversation with Aunt Zhang, Su Zhiluo slowly walked toward her. The sound of her footsteps, the dancing light spots, and that subtle scent unique to Su Zhiluo gently enveloped Liu Chengxu at that moment. Liu Chengxu turned around, and Su Zhiluo softly asked her, “What dishes are you planning to make today?”
Liu Chengxu was momentarily stunned before answering, “Three, maybe four dishes.”
“Did you send everything to me?”
“Mhm.”
“Thank you.”
“I wanted to send them to you.”
Listening to her speak, a long-lost sense of peace arose in Su Zhiluo’s heart, as if they were back in their most intimate time together. Liu Chengxu was like a clingy puppy, constantly following her around.
Su Zhiluo washed the rice and put it in the pot. Liu Chengxu leaned over and placed the preserved fish, which was already mixed with sauce, into the steamer basket.
Su Zhiluo softly reminded her, “When Aunt Zhang talks to you, remember to reply. When living alone, you always need someone to look out for you.”
“I’ll remember this time.” Liu Chengxu was very skilled at making steamed preserved fish. She first marinated it with soy sauce, chili, and minced garlic, and then drizzled a few drops of sesame oil on it after steaming.
Thinking about it carefully, all the dishes were Su Zhiluo’s favorites, her signature dishes.
After the immense joy, there was a faint, lingering bitterness. A subtle sense of heartache arose in Su Zhiluo’s mind, a feeling of unease, like instinctively withdrawing her hand after touching something too intensely warm.
She lowered her gaze, gently pinching her fingertips.
Liu Chengxu cooked a fish hot pot, stir-fried some green vegetables, and made a plate of chili scrambled eggs.
She wanted her to taste both fish dishes.
As soon as her taste buds awakened, Su Zhiluo’s eyes turned red. She said, “It’s so spicy it brought tears to my eyes.”
After eating bland food for most of the year, she suddenly couldn’t handle the spice. Liu Chengxu poured her a cup of cola, which she sipped slowly.
It wasn’t mealtime; it was already three-thirty. In between, Liu Chengxu specifically got the computer and put on a movie for them to watch.
After eating, Liu Chengxu told Su Zhiluo to take a nap.
Su Zhiluo didn’t sleep. She had given the key to Chang Ruyin when she left. Chang Ruyin cleaned up and went to her rental apartment to work on the orders. Since the New Year hadn’t officially started, people’s spending power hadn’t picked up, so there were only a few orders that hadn’t been canceled. Su Zhiluo taught her how to process them, and Chang Ruyin quickly caught on.
They chatted until six in the evening. Su Zhiluo told her to cook dinner at her own rental apartment.
Working together afterward made many things easier. Chang Ruyin was also going to invest some money, and Su Zhiluo planned to rent a warehouse.
Liu Chengxu heated the water and called Su Zhiluo for a shower. After Su Zhiluo left, Liu Chengxu secretly looked at her sister-in-law’s chat history. She scrolled through the records from before her sister-in-law arrived and saw that Chang Ruyin had told Su Zhiluo about her idea of trying a relationship with Yang Jie while Su Zhiluo was still on the train.
Su Zhiluo didn’t mind, telling Chang Ruyin that it was great and that Yang Jie was a good person, so it would be a positive thing if it worked out.
But then she asked one extra question.
Su Zhiluo: Is it a good idea to tell her about this while you’re long-distance? It’s hard to make it work when you’re separated.
Chang Ruyin: ???? Is that right? I thought distance was the true test. Every time we meet, it’s sparks flying. To be honest, when I told her I wanted to try with her, seeing her flustered and confused look was quite satisfying.
Su Zhiluo: ?
Chang Ruyin: I’m 25 and have never kissed anyone. I’m desperate, I want to sleep with someone, I want to get laid.
Su Zhiluo: ???
Chang Ruyin: I really want to have some fun.
Su Zhiluo: ….
Chang Ruyin: How do you know I’m easy to ‘handle’? I may look gentle and delicate, but I’m actually fierce.
Su Zhiluo sent her an ‘Expressionless Buddha’.
Chang Ruyin: I really want to ‘do’ myself to death.
Su Zhiluo: …
Chang Ruyin: Honestly, are you lonely? I often read sapphic erotica, and I really want to try it out.
Su Zhiluo: I’m not lonely, and I don’t read it.
Chang Ruyin: Then you definitely haven’t read sapphic erotica about two women.
Su Zhiluo didn’t reply for a while. Chang Ruyin continued to talk deeply about the loneliness of being single, unaware of Su Zhiluo’s mood at the time. Later, Su Zhiluo replied in a very emotionally detached manner: You should look it up online. This is very important.
After that came Chang Ruyin’s messages asking if she had arrived and telling her to be safe.
Liu Chengxu finished reading and put down her sister-in-law’s phone, feeling absolutely no shame about secretly reading it.
Su Zhiluo came out after her shower. Liu Chengxu asked, “Should I pull the beds apart?”
Su Zhiluo said, “Didn’t you throw away the bricks already?”
She was drying her hair. Liu Chengxu went to get a small hairdryer for her, then gathered her own clothes to take a shower. Liu Chengxu glanced towards the balcony and saw the vibrant green succulents placed on the slate tiles.
After her shower, she slipped into bed and immediately had a hot water bottle tucked into her arms. Su Zhiluo told her to pull the covers up, then started drawing on her tablet. Liu Chengxu could smell the fragrant body wash on Su Zhiluo. She lay on her side, gazing eagerly at Su Zhiluo.
Su Zhiluo felt uncomfortable under her gaze and asked, “Aren’t you playing games with your friends today?”
Liu Chengxu clung to her: “I don’t want to.”
Su Zhiluo continued drawing. She was originally feeling quite inspired, but now she had almost no feeling for it. After drawing for a long time, all she managed to do was trace straight lines.
Finally, she opened a streaming app and started watching TV.
At half-past nine, Su Zhiluo felt sleepy and yawned.
Liu Chengxu very eagerly helped her turn off the tablet and said, “No more watching. I’m sleepy too.”
Su Zhiluo murmured a soft assent. With the tablet just removed, there was no longer any barrier between them. Liu Chengxu took the opportunity to lean closer. The heat from the hot water bottle against her lower abdomen transferred through the clothing to Su Zhiluo’s back, causing her to shiver slightly.
Liu Chengxu took the hot water bottle and tucked it back against her own abdomen, but her palm naturally rested on Su Zhiluo’s waist, her fingertips resting lightly with calculated restraint.
She guessed her sister-in-law would be unaccustomed to such intimacy, so she didn’t push any further. She merely rested her forehead lightly against Su Zhiluo’s back, like a small animal seeking warmth.
Though Su Zhiluo’s body was a bit stiff, she ultimately did not push her away.
They chatted for a while, mostly with Liu Chengxu speaking. She had roughly calculated Su Zhiluo’s income for the year: a net profit of eighty thousand, which was much better than working in a factory. Su Zhiluo responded with soft acknowledgments, but eventually fell silent.
About ten minutes later.
Liu Chengxu softly called out, “Sister-in-law, are you asleep?”
Su Zhiluo replied, “No.”
Another ten minutes later, Liu Chengxu softly asked, “And now? Are you asleep?”
Su Zhiluo replied, “No.”
Yet another ten minutes passed.
Liu Chengxu: “Asleep?”
Su Zhiluo did not respond.
Liu Chengxu’s fingers brushed against her lower abdomen. Pressed against Su Zhiluo’s thin back, she gently rubbed herself, her breathing slightly quickening.
Liu Chengxu propped herself up slightly, her fingertips gently tucking the stray hairs near Su Zhiluo’s cheek behind her ear, then lowered her head and placed a light kiss on that patch of skin.
The touch beneath her lips was soft and warm, carrying the subtle, characteristic scent of her sister-in-law.
Her fingertips lightly brushed over the tip of Su Zhiluo’s nose. Then, propping herself up, she gently yet firmly grasped Su Zhiluo’s fingers, lowered her head, and took the fingertips into her mouth.
Su Zhiluo’s fingers were tightly held captive. Liu Chengxu kissed Su Zhiluo’s fingers, which were slender and soft, able to be bent into any curve.
When she finally let go, her breathing was already ragged. She leaned in to brush against Su Zhiluo’s lips, intending only a light, fleeting taste, but was instantly ignited the moment they touched. The desire surging within her grew increasingly fierce, clamoring for more intimacy.
