- Billionaire’s Journey into the Beast World, Suitors Compete to Be Fed by Her!
- Chapter 23 - I Can't Hold Back Unless...
Mi Yue’s scalp tightened as she remembered this troublesome figure was still around.
She glanced at Li Xiangyang, steeled herself, and dragged Xing Chi back into the bathroom.
“I have things to do outside. Now that your injuries are healed, maybe I should send you back to the Beast World first. I’ll come find you after I finish my business.”
Once marked by the system, she could teleport to her designated targets anytime, anywhere, no need to worry about losing them.
“Hmm? Trying to ditch me?” Xing Chi narrowed his eyes, the air around him turning cold.
“Of course not! It’s just that transforming into a beast isn’t allowed here. If you lose control, you’ll get caught.”
Xing Chi pinched her soft cheek. “Good. Remember, little female, you’re mine!”
After Mi Yue’s repeated demands, Xing Chi reluctantly agreed not to transform into his beast form or randomly attack people.
Thus, the luxurious extended Rolls-Royce was soon filled with the rich aroma of food. The small fold-out table inside was set with several takeout containers, garlic butter oysters, sea urchin steamed eggs, salmon sushi, Australian lobster, and a king crab the size of a human head.
Li Xiangyang sat on the leather seat, watching the seemingly uncultured man across from him, his gaze growing darker.
Mi Yue felt a bit awkward under his stare. There was no helping it, the food had arrived just as they were leaving, and Xing Chi had been whining about being hungry, so they had to eat in the car.
“Want some?” Mi Yue speared a piece of lobster and held it to Li Xiangyang’s lips.
He had intended to politely decline, but after seeing the blazing glare in Xing Chi’s eyes, he changed his mind and took a bite.
Xing Chi chewed his salmon sushi and smirked. “Yue said she only sees you as a brother. Since we’re mates, and you’re her brother, that makes you my brother too.”
The smugness on Li Xiangyang’s face faded at the word “brother,” replaced by disappointment.
“Can’t you just eat and keep your mouth shut?”
Xing Chi pouted and turned to look out the window. Hmph, this little female is so biased.
Outside, lush trees lined the streets, and rectangular objects moved back and forth. Lights of different colors flickered.
This place was truly different from the Beast World, so many strange things. Even without being near the ocean, they could eat fresh seafood. Foods he had once scorned, like oysters and sea urchins, could be turned into delicious dishes here.
If he could stay here with his little female forever, it wouldn’t be so bad. No need to hunt every day, just spend time together and make cubs.
The Hillside Villa was located in the suburbs, literally built halfway up a mountain with only one neighboring house nearby.
“The entire mountain’s land ownership belongs to the villa, so the 500 million price tag is very fair.”
“The owner put in a lot of effort during construction, installing an electric fence and walls at the base, and even hiring a 20-person security team for round-the-clock patrols.”
Li Xiangyang gave Mi Yue a detailed tour of the villa as he spoke.
“Not bad. You’ve got the vibe of a real estate agent,” Mi Yue teased, her eyes crinkling with amusement.
Li Xiangyang cleared his throat. “Just skimmed through the materials in the car.”
“It’s perfect. I love it.”
“Then I’ll contact the owner now.”
Mi Yue nodded and continued exploring. In the villa’s backyard, she found a 20-meter-square outdoor swimming pool. The pool’s ceiling was made of tinted one-way glass that could change colors, blocking UV rays while still letting sunlight through.
The pool was temperature-controlled year-round, equipped with an automatic cleaning system, and even had flowing water circulation.
“How can there be a lake inside this house!” Xing Chi exclaimed in surprise.
“It’s so big, even my beast form could fit in here.”
Gazing at the crystal-clear swimming pool, he felt an irresistible longing. Without thinking, he stepped forward and began to undress.
Mi Yue was shocked and quickly grabbed his arm. “What are you doing?”
“It’s been so long since I’ve had a good swim. I want to play in the water,” Xing Chi said, his eyes brimming with desire.
“No, you can’t. Wait until I buy this place, then you can swim. Right now, there are people around, so it’s not allowed.” If he couldn’t resist transforming into a massive sea beast while swimming and someone saw, she’d be finished.
Either thrown behind bars or sent to be dissected.
Xing Chi frowned irritably. His ears twitched, and then suddenly, he leaned in close, his low, husky voice whispering into Mi Yue’s ear.
“Sea beasts have a natural affinity for water. I can’t hold back… unless…”
“Unless what?” Mi Yue looked up in confusion, only to be instantly captivated by the depth of Xing Chi’s mesmerizing gaze.
“Unless you give me a kiss.” The old sea beast had told him that kisses and embraces were things only lovers did. If the little female was willing to kiss him, it meant she liked him.
Mi Yue hesitated, glancing around nervously.
Xing Chi tilted his head slightly, grinning as he threatened, “Hurry up and kiss me, or I’ll show you my majestic beast form.”
Gritting her teeth, Mi Yue quickly pecked him on the cheek.
She tried to pull away, but he caught her, cupping the back of her head as a scorching, passionate kiss landed firmly on her lips.
At first, Xing Chi was a bit clumsy, but males seemed to have an innate talent for this sort of thing, he quickly grew skilled.
Mi Yue melted under his kiss, her small fists weakly pounding his chest.
Li Xiangyang was still outside. They couldn’t keep going.
As their lips parted, a thin, translucent strand of saliva stretched between them.
Mi Yue’s face burned with embarrassment.
Xing Chi lifted his chin proudly, his sidelong glance flickering toward the black figure at the garden entrance, a smirk of challenge on his lips.
Li Xiangyang clenched his fists at his sides, his face dark with anger.
But no matter how furious he was, he could only silently suppress his emotions. He had no right to interfere in the girl’s love life, doing so would only push her further away.
His heart ached as if pierced by needles.
While waiting for the homeowner to arrive, Mi Yue contacted Xiu Ka via Feixun.
Mi Yue: Xiu Ka, you must be exhausted after walking all morning. I’ve sent you two bottles of water, drink them to replenish your energy.
Mi Yue: Remember to eat well and take care of yourself and Wu Er.
In the Beast World, after a morning of travel, the Tiger Tribe chief announced a rest stop in a nearby forest. The males scattered to hunt.
The further south they went, the more trees and vegetation they encountered. Occasionally, they even found small streams that hadn’t dried up. Some males managed to catch wild chickens and rabbits, adding a bit of meat to their otherwise meager diet.
Sweet potatoes were tasty, but males naturally craved meat.
The tribespeople’s resistance to Mi Yue’s decision to migrate had also lessened.
In the forest, Xiu Ka was chasing a gray rabbit when he suddenly heard Mi Yue’s voice.
His face lit up with joy as he looked around, but there was no sign of her. His hopeful smile quickly faded.
Lowering his head, he noticed two strange bottles, along with bread and candy, lying at his feet.
Xiu Ka: “…”
Seeing Xiu Ka’s dejected expression, Mi Yue quickly sent words of comfort.
Mi Yue: I’ll be back soon. Make sure to eat well. I’ll be angry if you starve yourself thin.
Upon hearing Mi Yue say she would return soon, Xiu Ka’s emerald-green eyes immediately lit up with joy.
“Mm, come back quickly. I-Grandpa misses you.”
“Alright, I understand. I miss Grandpa and you too.”
After the homeowner arrived, the property purchase procedures were completed swiftly. By noon, Mi Yue was already holding the freshly issued, warm property deed in her hands.
