Becoming the Yandere Omega's Fluffy Pet - Chapter 60
Chapter 60
Bai Yu woke up that night, remaining conscious for about five or six minutes. Liu Ran had laid out a small cot next to her bed; she had just finished placing the pillow when she looked up and her gaze collided with Bai Yu’s pure, bright black eyes.
A ray of dawn finally broke through the long night. Liu Ran double-checked three times before she was certain that Bai Yu was truly awake.
The last time she had spoken face-to-face with her mother was before she went abroad for the summer camp. Bai Yu had seen her off at the airport, smiling as she cupped Liu Ran’s face before she went through security. “Xiao Ran, don’t blame Mama for being wordy, but safety must, must, must come first. Call Mama as soon as you land, okay?”
Liu Ran had hugged Bai Yu’s arm. “By the time I land, it’ll be three in the morning here in City A. You should get some good rest, okay?”
Bai Yu had lovingly tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. “Mama can’t sleep until she hears from you.”
When she finally returned, everything had changed.
Because Bai Yu hadn’t spoken for so long, her voice could only manage airy whispers at first. She stared at Liu Ran with misty, moist eyes for a while before calling out uncertainly, “Xiao Ran?”
“It’s me, Mama. I’m Xiao Ran.” Liu Ran choked up instantly. She fought desperately to keep her tears from falling; Bai Yu had finally opened her eyes to see her, and she didn’t want to waste this precious time crying. She forced her eyes wide, her trembling lips uncontrolled, curling up one second and down the next.
“Mama, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere? How do you feel right now? Are you in any pain?”
Bai Yu smiled and shook her head, her gaze never leaving Liu Ran for a second. “Mama is very good. Xiao Ran has grown up, so beautiful… but why are there two… fuzzy ears on top of your head…”
Liu Ran didn’t know how to explain it in just a sentence or two, and she instinctively moved to cover her ears and hide them. Then, Bai Yu moved her fingers and continued in a voice as thin as silk: “So cute, like… like the tips of Little Dark Cloud’s horns.”
Bai Yu knew perfectly well that Shen Yunhe had passed away, but her subconscious refused to accept it. Someone who has been in a coma for a long time has no concept of time; one moment Bai Yu said Liu Ran had grown up and years had passed, and the next moment she was back to the time when Shen Yunhe died: “Xiao Ran, tell your mother that if she can’t make movies, she can do something else.
Don’t go head-to-head with them, those people are too wicked… there will always be a way, don’t be too anxious. Her mental state has been very poor lately; if it goes on like this, she’ll have to go to the hospital.”
Liu Ran asked, “Has Mother not gone to the hospital yet?”
Bai Yu shook her head sorrowfully. “After leaving the film crew, her condition took a sharp turn for the worse. I know it’s because of my illness. Being a director is her life’s work, and now that she’s forced to stop, with no source of income, she’s so anxious. I think her state is very much like an anxiety disorder… She promised me she’d go to the hospital. That bad woman, she doesn’t cherish herself at all. My body is a body, but isn’t her body a body too? Xiao Ran, you are our only daughter, help Mama persuade her, okay?”
Liu Ran turned her face away. Bai Yu’s words filled her with a calm hatred. The timeline of Shen Yunhe’s death was becoming clearer: she was first threatened by Ming Siyu and lost her job, then her mental health deteriorated, and upon Bai Yu’s suggestion, she went to the hospital to get medication.
It was like a series of chain reactions triggered by the first domino. Ming Siyu didn’t kill Shen Yunhe directly; she indirectly drove her to a dead end, which eventually led to Shen Yunhe’s death.
“Mama,” since the subject of Shen Yunhe’s death had come up and she didn’t know when Bai Yu might slip back into a coma, Liu Ran seized the time to keep asking: “Did Mother ever mention people from the film crew to you? Did anyone from the crew ever look for her? Did she tell you who the person looking for her was?”
As soon as the words left her mouth, Liu Ran felt she was being ridiculous.
What was the purpose of asking this question? Was she still looking for that one-in-a-million chance that Ming Siyu hadn’t done those things to Shen Yunhe? Clearly, all the current evidence pointed to Ming Siyu.
“Xiao Ran, you’re still young. Just help Mama persuade your mother. You don’t need to worry about the specifics of her work. Has the summer camp ended? Oh, I’m all muddled. You’re already back in the country, so it must have ended. Has school started yet? When is the freshman registration at A-University? Mama will go with you.”
As Bai Yu spoke, her eyelids grew heavier and her blinks became smaller. The hand holding Liu Ran’s also grew weaker, sinking down.
Liu Ran said urgently, “Mama, Mama, don’t sleep! Look at me again! I… I’m already attending classes at A-University.”
Bai Yu smiled tenderly and slowly closed her eyes. “Xiao Ran is so wonderful. Mama is tired, so sleepy. Mama will sleep a little longer…”
With that, Bai Yu took a few gentle breaths, her strength exhausted, and she tilted her head toward Liu Ran and fell asleep.
Auntie Chen had purposefully left the room to give the mother and daughter some time; she came over now and patted Liu Ran’s shoulder. “It’s normal. In her current condition, she’ll only be awake for a short while. She’s already much better than before. At first, she couldn’t speak at all, then she could manage a few words. Today, because she saw you, she was happy enough to say so much. She will get better and better.”
Liu Ran knelt by the bed, nodding repeatedly while holding Bai Yu’s hand. She didn’t sleep well on the small cot that night. Afraid of disturbing Auntie Chen, she turned over very cautiously. Her mind was filled with chaotic thoughts, like a black-and-white film edited in the wrong order, finally freezing on the pained look in Ming Siyu’s eyes before she had fled.
Ming Siyu’s emotions were mostly restrained; she believed that exposing too much emotion would make it easy for people to discover her weaknesses. But in that instant, even though Ming Siyu was wearing glasses, Liu Ran felt the sorrow and rage in the depths of her eyes pouring out like a stripped faucet.
It was a sleepless night. Fortunately, having slept for over a day beforehand, she had stored up some sleep and didn’t have too much of a headache when she got up in the morning.
The next day, Liu Ran went to inquire about the transfer and refund procedures. The fee for the Huaici Nursing Home was 500,000 per year, which basically covered the nursing staff, food… all expenses. Small ailments and minor surgeries were not charged extra. At the time, Liu Ran didn’t know how long Bai Yu would be in a coma or where her own future would lead, so she had paid for ten years in one go. Now that nearly five years had passed, the staff told her she could get a refund, but only at 70% of the original price.
Liu Ran calculated it; she could get back about 1.8 million.
Just as she came out, she ran into Ming Siwei. Ming Siwei was clearly looking for her; her first sentence was: “Find a place. We need to talk.”
Since Ming Siwei knew Bai Yu was her mother, it wasn’t surprising she found this place. The two walked to the wisteria corridor on one side of the nursing home. Ming Siwei asked in a somewhat stiff tone, “Aran, about what I told you last time, have you considered it?”
“I haven’t fully decided yet.”
“Is it because the money isn’t enough?” As Ming Siwei spoke, she opened her handbag and pulled another check from her wallet. “This is another ten million. It adds up to thirty million. I don’t have actual power in the group and don’t have as much money as my sister. This is basically all the liquid capital I can take out. If you still think it’s not enough, I have several properties under my name that I can sell…”
Liu Ran felt something was wrong. Even if Ming Siwei wanted to help her and apologize on Ming Siyu’s behalf, selling houses was a bit too extreme. It was as if she were rushing her to leave.
“It’s not that the money isn’t enough. It’s that my mother just had surgery and it’s not suitable to transfer her for the time being. Besides, what if Ming Siyu continues to hunt me down after I leave?”
“You don’t need to worry about my sister. I will help you block her.”
Liu Ran stared into Ming Siwei’s eyes and asked in confusion, “You’re in a great hurry for me to leave?”
Ming Siwei froze for half a second, then looked up and took a deep breath, saying through gritted teeth: “Of course I’m in a hurry! I just came from my sister’s house. She said with her own mouth that once she finds you, she’ll have to tear you into eight pieces and ten thousand shreds to vent her anger. If you don’t leave now, you really will be killed by her.”
“This is for your sake. Also,” a flash of hatred passed through Ming Siwei’s eyes, “the injury on my sister’s arm was done by you, wasn’t it? I said you shouldn’t hurt her, yet now she’s become like this because of you… She has never suffered an injury like this before. Of course I want you to stay away from her. Aran, I feel guilty toward you, so I don’t want to do anything to hurt you anymore.
Before something even worse happens, you’d better leave as soon as possible. You know what my sister is like; if you anger her, she’ll do anything for revenge, and she doesn’t know when to stop. When that time comes, I won’t be able to help you even if I want to, and I’ll end up getting dragged in myself.”
Although Liu Ran still felt an indescribable strangeness, what Ming Siwei said afterward was real and frank, and the reasons were very convincing. She said, “Give me a few more days. My mother’s current condition really doesn’t allow her to leave.”
Ming Siwei hesitated for a moment, then finally nodded. “Fine.”
Ming Siwei left in a hurry. Being pushed by her, Liu Ran felt the time was even more pressing. Everything was pushing and forcing her forward; she couldn’t stop and had to make a choice immediately.
The only person she could discuss this with now was Auntie Chen. Liu Ran walked back with her head down. As she neared the main entrance of the nursing home, a familiar voice leapt into her ears.
“Secretary Liu,” Secretary Wen’s tone was cold. Behind her stood two Alphas with electric batons tucked into their belts. “You certainly are hard to find.”
Liu Ran got goosebumps all over, her face full of wariness.
Secretary Wen breathed a sigh of relief. After receiving the message from Ming Siyu to find the person, she had started looking non-stop—checking surveillance, searching for clues… She had originally estimated it would take three to five days. Ever since Ming Siyu bought Liu Ran, she felt like she was becoming a secret agent.
By pure chance, while checking the university, she ran into Jian Huaijin and Jian Huaici. Jian Huaici didn’t know Ming Siyu and Liu Ran had such a huge conflict; she thought it was a simple argument where Ming Siyu had kicked Liu Ran out in a fit of rage, Liu Ran had run away in grievance, and now Ming Siyu regretted it and wanted to bring her back.
Based on the principle of bringing people together rather than breaking them apart, Jian Huaici immediately revealed Liu Ran’s whereabouts. As she spoke, she even made a call to the nursing home on the spot, and the nursing home replied that Liu Ran was still there.
After mountains and rivers, there seemed no way out, yet a path was found without effort. While reporting back to Ming Siyu, Secretary Wen traveled to the Huaici Nursing Home with her men without stopping.
“Come with me. Go back and give President Ming a proper apology.”
Liu Ran took a step back. She thought she’d have two or three days of leeway; how did Ming Siyu find her so quickly? It was as if she had a GPS tracker installed on her.
“Give me a few minutes. I need to go say a few words…”
“No.” Secretary Wen interrupted roughly. Who knew if Liu Ran wanted to go say goodbye or take the opportunity to escape? The explosive power of an S-class Alpha was not to be underestimated, and the difficulty level of capturing one was not low. The two fully-armed, well-trained Alpha bodyguards behind her stepped forward, looking ready to tase Liu Ran if she dared to run.
After a few seconds of stalemate, Liu Ran lowered her hands in resignation. The two bodyguards wanted to restrain her out of caution, but Secretary Wen stopped them with a look.
Liu Ran followed them into a seven-seater business van. As soon as the door closed, a needle was jabbed into her neck. She didn’t even have time to struggle before her whole body went limp and weak within two minutes. The bodyguards sat on either side of her in the back row to sandwich her. Secretary Wen turned her body around from the front seat, her expression serious. “It’s a drug similar to a muscle relaxant. it will only make it difficult for you to move, it has no other purpose.”
Then Secretary Wen sighed. “Secretary Liu, President Ming’s condition is very poor. You don’t know how miserable she is when her illness flares up; how could you injure her and then run away? This time you went too far. Go back and apologize properly, admit your mistake, and pray that President Ming forgives you.”
Liu Ran bit her lip. “What mistake did I make? My mother was sick and having surgery; she used drugs to knock me out and made me miss the surgery, and now I’m the one who has to admit a mistake to her?”
Secretary Wen: “If you have special circumstances, you can explain them to President Ming.”
“She said it clearly—even if someone died, she wouldn’t let me out.”
Perhaps because her subconscious had already predicted that she would eventually be caught by Ming Siyu, or perhaps because she was facing Secretary Wen, who had been quite good to her before, Liu Ran’s emotions were not particularly volatile.
Secretary Wen: “…”
What Liu Ran said wasn’t entirely without logic. Ming Siyu was in a fit of rage at the time, and likely wouldn’t have listened to anyone.
But having followed Ming Siyu for so many years, it was the first time she had seen her boss look so wretched. It made her feel very uncomfortable, and she instinctively stood on Ming Siyu’s side, joining in the blaming of Liu Ran.
Secretary Wen delivered Liu Ran back home. The moment the door opened and she met Ming Siyu’s gaze, Liu Ran’s eyelids jumped. The haze in the depths of Ming Siyu’s eyes was almost impossible to hide.
She was tied to the bed again. Unlike last time, she was conscious when she was tied up. The handcuffs used to restrain her had also been replaced with retractable, soft elastic restraint buckles. Although they weren’t as sturdy as the original ones, they were even harder to break out of.
After Secretary Wen and the others left, Ming Siyu rolled her wheelchair to the bedside and turned on all the lights in the room. She pinched Liu Ran’s chin with her hand, carefully scrutinizing the face that she both loved and wanted to destroy.
A suffocating silence spread between the two.
After a long time, Ming Siyu let go and said calmly, “I didn’t know you were going to see your mother. Secretary Wen told me, and only then did I know you still had a mother. I don’t have a mother, so I never considered anyone else’s mother. Would it kill you to tell me the truth?”
Liu Ran turned her head toward the window. “If I had told you, would you have let me go?”
“No.” Ming Siyu leaned back in her wheelchair, returning to her original haughty and overbearing manner. Sitting in the wheelchair, she gave off the feeling of being on a throne. “I would not let you leave this house for a single step. However, I could have sent someone to check on the progress of your mother’s surgery.”
Ming Siyu revealed a thin, cold smile. “So the little wolf’s true weakness is here. This time, you’ve truly delivered your life into my hands. I should have investigated you earlier; otherwise, why would I have feared you wouldn’t be obedient?”
Liu Ran closed her eyes powerlessly.
The thing she feared most had finally happened. Now that Ming Siyu had actually said these words, she wasn’t panicking; this was the worst possible outcome she had anticipated.
Her lips moved, but she didn’t speak.
Ming Siyu continued on her own: “I have already sent people to take your mother under custody. I heard you also inquired about transfer procedures. Where did you want to escape with your mother? Liu Ran, did you think that no matter how hard you worked, you could escape my palm?”
Liu Ran felt as if her neck were being squeezed, making it hard to breathe. “What have you done to my mother?”
“Don’t worry, as long as you are good, I won’t do anything to her. But if you aren’t good, then I can’t say for sure. Thank your good friend Jian Huaici; without her, I wouldn’t have found you so quickly. If you had actually managed to squeeze out the time to run, it would have cost me quite a bit of effort.”
Her warm lips spat out heart-stabbing words one by one; every word was like a nail driven into Liu Ran’s heart.
In contrast, Ming Siyu seemed accustomed to this way of doing things, her tone as ordinary as if she were asking what she’d had for breakfast today.
“What do you want me to do?”
Ming Siyu answered very quickly: “Let’s go back to the way we were before, isn’t that good?”
Liu Ran shook her head. “I can’t do it.”
Regardless of whether Ming Siyu had actually done anything excessive to Shen Yunhe and Bai Yu, her view of Ming Siyu had completely changed. She had known all along that Ming Siyu was not a kind person, but she hadn’t truly experienced just how unscrupulous she could be. In the past, she could accept Ming Siyu’s occasional oppression, threats, and coercion because, on one hand, those methods were barely acceptable if she lowered her standards, and on the other hand, she harbored a secret liking for Ming Siyu. After experiencing these recent events, she realized that Ming Siyu’s previous actions were just the tip of the iceberg; the true Ming Siyu was far more insane and terrifying than she had ever understood.
The humiliation, the drugging, the imprisonment everything only made her want to leave this woman as soon as possible. She was truly afraid, she really couldn’t bear it.
Ming Siwei was right; she was just a dish in front of Ming Siyu. she couldn’t fight Ming Siyu at all; her resistance didn’t even count as petty squabbling in Ming Siyu’s eyes.
“It doesn’t matter. You can pretend to do it. I don’t care if you’re sincere.”
As Ming Siyu spoke, she felt a part of her body being scorched.
In the day or so before Secretary Wen found Liu Ran, she had thought of countless ways to punish her: marking her, taking nude photos, forced heat, making her crawl on the floor, crippling her hands and feet so she could never move again, poisoning her voice so she could never again say words that stabbed into one’s chest… In short, she wanted to destroy Liu Ran not only physically, but mentally.
Strip away Liu Ran’s social identity, make her want to hide every time she saw a person, make it so she’d never have the courage to take a step out of this house again—that way, Liu Ran would belong to her forever and ever.
What you can’t get, you destroy. Ming Siyu had always believed this was a very easy-to-understand and useful principle.
However, when Secretary Wen told her she’d found Liu Ran and told her about Liu Ran’s mother being sick, those thoughts changed again.
Ming Siyu was almost ecstatic. She had finally found the perfect tool to make Liu Ran submit. She even regretted in a moment of realization, why hadn’t she thought to investigate Liu Ran earlier? Even a Zhu Xinghan could make Liu Ran jump like that; with Bai Yu in her hands, wouldn’t she be able to get whatever she wanted from Liu Ran?
But when Liu Ran appeared before her again, her sorrowful and resentment-filled gaze meeting hers, her thoughts wavered once more.
Isn’t there any way to go back to the past? She didn’t want to hurt Liu Ran anymore; she just wanted the previous little wolf to come back and stop looking at her with that kind of eyes, even if it was faked.
But Liu Ran told her it was impossible.
Accustomed to looking down on others, Ming Siyu couldn’t bring herself to bow her head and apologize to Liu Ran either. Since she’d used Bai Yu to threaten Liu Ran, Liu Ran would likely never trust her again.
It didn’t matter, Ming Siyu thought self-deceptively, as long as Liu Ran pretended to reconcile with her. Liu Ran had been faking it before anyway and she hadn’t noticed anything wrong, so just keep faking it.
Liu Ran was silent for a while. Suddenly, she spoke: “Touch me.”
Ming Siyu’s breathing tightened. “What?”
“Touch me,” Liu Ran repeated mechanically. “Touch my ears, touch my tail, or wherever you want to touch. Isn’t that why you bought me in the first place? To alleviate your illness.”
As she spoke, Liu Ran forcefully extended her tail from her skirt. Her hem was lifted, revealing snowy-white thighs.
Half of the fuzzy, silver-gray great tail was pinned under her body; the other half regained its freedom, flicking around flexibly, jumping to entice Ming Siyu’s gaze.
“Don’t you want something fuzzy? Touch it.”
Ming Siyu said through gritted teeth, “Liu Ran, who taught you this?”
“You.” Liu Ran flicked her tail enticingly, but her expression was as calm as water. “You lied to me before, saying I got drunk and wagged my tail and shook my butt begging you to touch me. I later knew you made that up, but you must have thought so in your heart, didn’t you? You only said it unintentionally because you wanted me to treat you like this, right? Don’t you like me being like this?”
“I like it. Yes, just like this.” Ming Siyu didn’t know how to describe her current mood; it was as if a bomb about to explode had been planted inside her.
When they weren’t fighting, she had looked forward to Liu Ran lying on the bed wagging her tail and seducing her. she had even considered the idea of half-enticing and half-forcing Liu Ran to do this for her once. But after thinking it over, Liu Ran was so thin-skinned, she decided not to make things difficult for her.
Now that Liu Ran was actually doing this to her, and voluntarily at that, she didn’t have the slightest desire to continue. Sorrow, like maggots, was devouring her rotting soul.
She grabbed the beautiful wolf tail and began to play with it skillfully, from the tip to the root. Even with only one hand to use, no one could resist the body’s instincts; before long, Liu Ran’s face was flushed, her eyes filled with tears of lust, her lips slightly parted as she panted restlessly.
Ming Siyu supported her inconvenienced body and leaned over Liu Ran, kissing her lips, her eyes, the tip of her nose, her forehead, and biting her wolf ear.
Her sharp canines rubbed against the soft, abundant gland, and the tail naturally coiled around the Omega’s excessively thin waist.
As Liu Ran wept, provoked by the strands of Soldanella-scented pheromones seeping out, she fought her instinct to mark. “I will not mark you.”
Her tongue tip probed into the ear canal, and Ming Siyu felt the little wolf’s sensitive trembling. she once again spoke the words she had said countless times: “You are mine.”
“No matter how much you hate me, Xiao Ran, you are mine.”
They were exactly the same words.
Every time she had said them in the past, Ming Siyu had been so confident and certain, never once thinking that Liu Ran would not be hers.
But now, she tasted a deep fear.
Every “You are mine” seemed to be reminding her that Liu Ran was not hers.
