Becoming the Comfort Alpha for the Aloof Movie Queen - Chapter 80
Is Your Gland Getting More Sensitive?
It was a bright and sunny March day. The air was filled with a natural herbal fragrance… and the scent of an Omega’s pheromones.
Ming Tanqing kept her eyes closed, her brow slightly furrowed. She cupped Liang Ruojing’s face with both hands, her four fingers braced against the jawline while her thumbs pressed into her cheeks, causing a faint sensation of pain.
Good. This isn’t a dream.
Liang Ruojing opened her mouth, and Ming Tanqing’s soft tongue tentatively explored inside, wrapping tenderly around the tip of hers with a warm touch. It wasn’t forceful, but it was enough to make Liang Ruojing surrender.
So, this was what a kiss led by Sister Tanqing felt like.
It was like weeping willows brushing against the face, or a fine rain in Jiangnan—drenched and soft, melting her heart completely.
Ming Tanqing let go and stepped back half a pace. Under the gaze of three pairs of eyes, she nonchalantly wiped her glistening lips. Her eyes were soft, yet her aura remained cool and ethereal. This contrast of power and sensuality made Liang Ruojing’s scalp tingle with excitement.
Before she could speak, Ming Tanqing gave a light cough and retreated into the house with a pace much faster than usual.
Liang Ruojing sat frozen on her chair for three seconds, relishing the moment, before finally remembering to snap out of it and chase after her.
Wen Qingjia and Yu Feng were standing by the door. Wen Qingjia said with a smile, “She probably went to the second floor.”
Liang Ruojing nodded her thanks. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Yu Feng’s expression, which was so dark it looked like it could drip ink. Her sense of satisfaction climbed another level.
Ming Tanqing had hidden on the second-floor balcony. The Omega leaned against the railing, bathing in the sunlight, her silhouette forming a perfect line from her forehead to her collarbone. It would have been a very aesthetic scene—if one ignored the unusually red color of Ming Tanqing’s ears and neck.
Liang Ruojing walked over slowly, her fingers tracing the railing inch by inch until she finally caught Ming Tanqing’s hand. She asked, knowing the answer full well:
“Sister Tanqing, why did you kiss me?”
Ming Tanqing closed her eyes avoidantly. “…I don’t really want to talk right now.”
Feeling the Omega’s body heat in her palm, Liang Ruojing couldn’t hold back her smile. “I’m so happy, really.”
Liang Ruojing lifted the hand she held and pressed it against her cheek, nuzzling it. Her movements were so vigorous her voice became muffled: “I’m really, really happy.”
Ming Tanqing’s fingers twitched, but she opened her eyes and allowed Liang Ruojing to continue her affection. Sensing her indulgence, Liang Ruojing became even more excited, leaning in to lick and kiss the Omega’s knuckles.
After the hands came the ears, and then occasional pecks on the lips, rubbing those pale pink petals until they were a vivid red.
Ming Tanqing silently turned her head away, her eyelashes trembling. “I’ve lost all my dignity.”
Yu Feng left. Although Wen Qingjia claimed it was because of an afternoon event, everyone present knew the real reason.
Wen Qingjia had no partner and no living relatives. In this massive villa, there was only her, a housekeeper, and fifteen little cats. Rarely having guests, Ming Tanqing and Liang Ruojing stayed behind to chat with her for a long time.
Elder Wen was rich in life experience and had seen much over the decades. Listening to her talk about the past and discuss cinema made the afternoon fly by.
The alarm on Liang Ruojing’s phone rang. It was already 4:30 PM.
Under good traffic conditions, the drive from Nancheng back to the set would take an hour and a half. They had scenes to film that night, and considering the time needed for makeup and rehearsals, it was time to leave.
Wen Qingjia lamented, “Time goes by so fast. I wanted to keep you both for dinner.”
Ming Tanqing put her coat back on and said obediently, “We’ll come back next time.”
While Liang Ruojing was searching for something to say, Wen Qingjia suddenly called her to the second floor, saying she had something to give her.
Taking advantage of the gap while they were upstairs, Ming Tanqing studied the photo wall by the stairs. Liang Ruojing’s sudden mention of “jealousy” couldn’t have come from nowhere.
Ming Tanqing searched focusedly and, a minute later, finally found the photo that likely served as the “trigger.” It was a photo of her at eighteen with Wen Qingjia.
Nearly ten years had passed, and Ming Tanqing felt a sense of strangeness looking at her smiling younger self. Why did I pretend so well? I caused a misunderstanding.
In the Alpha’s eyes, her past seemed full of laughter and joy. But only Ming Tanqing knew that her past was riddled with scars; happiness was fleeting, while loneliness and pain were the norms.
Footsteps echoed from the stairs. Ming Tanqing wrapped her coat tighter and walked back to the coffee table.
Liang Ruojing came down with a light step. Even without her saying a word, her expression radiated her good mood.
Ming Tanqing asked, “What is it?”
Liang Ruojing immediately showed the items in her bag to Ming Tanqing like a child showing off treasure. “Elder Wen gave me the script for ‘Palace Lyrics 2’!”
If the Alpha had a tail, it would be wagging so hard it would leave an afterimage. Infected by her joy, Ming Tanqing reached out and patted Liang Ruojing’s head with a smile.
“Not bad. You’ve got an audition. Work hard.”
Just as she finished, footsteps sounded on the stairs again. Wen Qingjia’s eyes were crinkled; she had clearly seen their interaction.
Ming Tanqing awkwardly withdrew her hand and tugged at Liang Ruojing. “Elder Wen, we’ll be going now. We’ll come to visit again another day.”
“Wait—”
Wen Qingjia followed them and pulled two long slips of paper from her vest pocket. Ming Tanqing took them and found they were tickets for the play Wen Qingjia was currently directing. They were front-row center seats, side by side.
Wen Qingjia said, “Come watch if you have time.”
Ming Tanqing promised, “We will.”
Wen Qingjia watched them until they reached the villa entrance. As the car door closed, Liang Ruojing watched the elderly woman’s figure grow smaller until it vanished. She felt a pang of sadness. Wen Qingjia reminded her of her grandmother.
Ming Tanqing comforted her: “Even though Director Wen has no children, she holds a high status in the industry. During holidays, students from every graduating class fill her house. You don’t need to feel sad for her.”
Liang Ruojing sighed and leaned against Ming Tanqing, murmuring, “I miss my grandmother.”
She told many stories about the small things involving the elderly woman. Ming Tanqing listened intently, the evening sun forming a glowing halo behind her head.
Liang Ruojing leaned in and said, “Sister Tanqing, let me take you to see my grandmother. She liked you too.”
First meeting the family, and now meeting the elders. If she didn’t know Liang Ruojing well enough, Ming Tanqing would truly think she had an ulterior motive. It was too easy to misunderstand.
Even so, Ming Tanqing didn’t refuse. Under Liang Ruojing’s hopeful gaze, she let out a helpless sigh and said, “We’ll talk about it another day.”
The play was set to open in a week. Until then, Liang Ruojing and Ming Tanqing’s busy filming life continued. Everyone on set felt the subtle shift in the atmosphere between them. To describe it simply: they weren’t hiding it anymore.
Liang Ruojing had completely unleashed her true nature, hovering around Ming Tanqing all day. To cover her tracks, she carried a script with her, and if anyone asked, she was “asking for advice.”
Who were they kidding! Who “asks for advice” by leaning their whole body against someone? Who “asks for advice” with such a silly, smitten grin? Who “asks for advice” while their hand is touching an Omega’s gland?
If it were just Liang Ruojing’s one-sided enthusiasm, it wouldn’t be much. After all, it’s normal for a fan to care deeply for a respected senior. The issue was Ming Tanqing’s attitude.
She was indulgent to the point of being doting. The atmosphere between them could no longer be summarized as “senior and junior.” Some thought they were just good friends.
However, a certain assistant claimed she saw “Teacher Liang lying on Teacher Ming’s bed with her clothes in disarray.”
The assistant said: “I feel like they might be dating.”
The fun of gossip lies in its unreliability. Every single onlooker took it with a grain of salt. But when the talk reached the parties involved, the situation changed.
Lin Xiuzhu called Ming Tanqing to the monitor and whispered a warning: “Be a bit more discreet. Careful not to let word get out.”
Ming Tanqing didn’t seem to care: “Don’t worry.”
When Lin Xiuzhu said the same thing to Liang Ruojing, the stunningly mature Alpha’s face turned bright red instantly. Lin Xiuzhu was speechless and let her go.
That day, they were filming on a mountainside meadow. When they finished, a fine drizzle began to fall, blowing a damp, cold air around everyone.
Ming Tanqing was sensitive to the cold. After changing out of her costume and walking out of the temporary shed, she pulled her thick coat tight, preparing herself for the cold front.
The moment she lifted the curtain, she smelled a familiar scent. The crisp mint fragrance was warmed by the Alpha’s body heat, enveloping her like a little sun and instantly dispelling the biting cold.
Liang Ruojing held an umbrella, looking down at Ming Tanqing with a smile: “Sister Tanqing, let’s go back to the hotel.”
Ming Tanqing nodded and naturally stepped under the Alpha’s umbrella. Liang Ruojing raised her arm, pulling the Omega into her embrace. They leaned against each other, slowly walking into the misty rain.
The assistant behind them, who had been preparing to bring an umbrella, was stunned. The rumors… couldn’t be true, could they?
On the way back to the hotel, they ran into students from a nearby middle school being dismissed. As the car stopped at a crosswalk, Liang Ruojing watched wave after wave of vibrant students heading home together.
Ming Tanqing was huddled in her thick clothes, lazily resting with her eyes closed, when a “chirping sparrow” suddenly appeared beside her.
“Sister Tanqing, don’t you think us sharing an umbrella just now felt like being middle schoolers?”
“I started acting in junior high. I rarely went to school.”
“You must have gone before exams,” Liang Ruojing fantasized. “If I were in the same school as you, I’d bring you breakfast every day.”
Ming Tanqing lazily opened her eyes: “Have you pursued people before? Why are you so practiced?”
Jealous again. Liang Ruojing felt a surge of delight: “No, I just saw others doing it.”
A few seconds later, Liang Ruojing overturned her own fantasy. “Actually, never mind. If a student-version of you existed back then, I definitely wouldn’t have gotten into Beijing University.”
Ming Tanqing laughed. She truly didn’t understand Liang Ruojing’s nostalgia for student days. Was it because of that photo?
After returning to the hotel, Liang Ruojing picked a youth-romance arthouse film about a beautiful secret crush. The story took place in summer, filled with green trees, iced soda, and hormones. The director was great at capturing small interactions during the “ambiguous stage,” creating an incredible atmosphere.
Ming Tanqing had changed into a thin camisole nightgown, lounging on the sofa to watch the movie. The cool light of the screen cast flowing colors over her body.
Kissing the gland fully complies with site regulations
Liang Ruojing didn’t let go. She lowered her head, her lips pressing against Ming Tanqing’s fragile neckline. She pressed her nose against the gland to inhale the scent.
“Sister Ming, is your gland getting more sensitive?”
Ming Tanqing couldn’t form complete sentences, cursing breathlessly: “Just… don’t lick it…”
That was a denial then.
It wasn’t time for a temporary mark yet. Having had her fill of pheromones, Liang Ruojing stopped teasing and carried the weak-limbed Ming Tanqing to the bath.
The light rain continued for several days. Ming Tanqing had been filming late-night scenes recently, often returning to sleep just as Liang Ruojing was waking up.
With her beloved nesting in the hotel, Liang Ruojing stopped pretending to be hardworking. The moment her scenes were done, she immediately shed her costume and left.
Today, she was lucky enough to finish early. Liang Ruojing wiped off her makeup quickly, grabbed her bag, and ran toward the production van.
Halfway there, she was stopped. Several crew members stepped forward and handed Liang Ruojing a blank greeting card.
“What’s this?” Liang Ruojing asked.
The crew members exchanged a confused look. “It’s for Teacher Ming’s birthday. It’s tomorrow. You’re the only one left.”
Liang Ruojing was shocked. “Isn’t Sister Tanqing’s birthday in September?”
The crew member replied, “That’s the official fake birthday. Tomorrow is Teacher Ming’s real birthday. Director Lin told us.”
Since the source was Lin Xiuzhu, it was 99% likely to be true. It seemed Tanqing had forgotten or simply never mentioned it to her.
Liang Ruojing tucked the blank card into her bag. “Okay, I’ll write it and give it back to you!”
The crew member reminded her, “Teacher Ming can’t know. It’s a surprise.”
“Got it!” Liang Ruojing waved and ran off.
On the way back to the hotel room, Liang Ruojing kept staring at the card. Being asked to write it on short notice, she really couldn’t think of what to say.
Reaching the door, she carefully put the card back in her bag and swiped her key card.
Using her Alpha intuition, Liang Ruojing felt the atmosphere in the room was unusual. There was a stir within the silence; the scent of lilies was very strong, meaning Tanqing was in the room. Liang Ruojing suspected she was napping and lightened her footsteps.
This hotel was much smaller than the Huafeng. After turning the corner from the foyer, one could see the entire layout. Liang Ruojing’s footsteps stopped right there at the entrance.
Standing before the full-length mirror was a figure both strange and familiar.
Ming Tanqing was wearing the exact same outfit from that old photo. The Omega’s back was straight, the hem of her shirt tucked into her skirt, outlining a supple, slender waist. The blue skirt stopped just above her knees, and her calves were white and straight.
The entire outfit perfectly captured the image of the “senior” in Liang Ruojing’s heart—more vivid and lovely than any actor in the youth films they had watched recently.
As the Alpha’s pheromones leaked out, Ming Tanqing smelled the restless mint scent. She turned around, her eyes full of smiles.
“Want to take a photo together?”
