Becoming the Comfort Alpha for the Aloof Movie Queen - Chapter 64
Enticing the Omega to Never Leave
Following the location sent by Tang Yuecen, Ming Tanqing hurried forward and quickly found Liang Ruojing’s lounge.
As she pushed the door open, a surging scent of mint instantly enveloped her.
Liang Ruojing lay on the sofa with her eyes closed. Even though the room was at a comfortable temperature, her forehead was covered in sweat.
Ming Tanqing’s gland reacted almost immediately.
A faint scent of lilies leaked out, urgently drifting toward Liang Ruojing.
“Ruojing?” Ming Tanqing walked to the side of the sofa and called out softly.
The Alpha seemed to sense Ming Tanqing’s approach; her brow relaxed slightly, and her breathing grew a bit steadier. She murmured a few words but did not open her eyes.
Tang Yuecen spoke up: “She’s had two shots of suppressants.”
“It’s too much,” Ming Tanqing said, removing her hand from Liang Ruojing’s forehead. “Suppressants are useless for her condition.”
The director stood dazed to the side the entire time, her gaze jumping back and forth between the Alpha and Omega before her. It seemed she had just discovered something monumental.
Qi Lin stepped forward and asked Ming Tanqing, “Should I take Little Liang back to her place now?”
Tang Yuecen interjected quickly, “No, there are stalker fans. Liang Ruojing needs to move; the company will arrange a new residence immediately.”
Ming Tanqing remained silent, sitting beside Liang Ruojing and carefully releasing her pheromones.
Lily and mint liqueur skillfully intertwined—the wind and snow dispersed the parching heat, and the liquid climbed upon the lilies. The two pheromones were polar opposites, yet they fused with extraordinary harmony.
Fortunately, the others in the room were Betas. Otherwise, anyone would have blushed at the cloying, ambiguous atmosphere in the air.
Perhaps the Omega’s soothing had an effect, as Liang Ruojing regained some consciousness. Following the pleasant scent of lilies, she fell into a soft, cool embrace.
Ming Tanqing felt a weight in her arms and finally heard what Liang Ruojing was muttering.
She was calling her name.
One call after another, her voice weak.
Liang Ruojing’s bangs were damp with sweat; with her head lowered, she looked inexplicably like a puppy drenched in the rain.
Ming Tanqing’s heart tightened. This feeling was perhaps what one calls “heartache.”
Tang Yuecen said, “I’ll contact a hotel now.”
“No need.”
A cold voice abruptly cut into the conversation. Everyone’s eyes fell on Ming Tanqing.
The Omega looked down and said coldly, “Go to Baiyu.”
Tang Yuecen didn’t understand at first, but it clicked a few seconds later. She looked at the unconscious Liang Ruojing with a complex expression before following everyone onto Ming Tanqing’s private van.
By the time Liang Ruojing woke up, Tang Yuecen could hardly control her eyes. Her gaze was glued to the two in the back seat via the rearview mirror.
Ming Tanqing was setting “three ground rules” with Liang Ruojing.
The Omega’s face was serene as she extended a slender finger, ticking them off:
“One: No one else can know.” “Two: This is only for the duration of the rut. You leave immediately once it’s over.” “Three…”
Before Ming Tanqing could finish, Liang Ruojing suddenly lunged forward, throwing her arms around Ming Tanqing in a tight hug.
“I’ll listen to whatever you say!”
If the Alpha had a tail, it would probably be wagging into the sky right now.
Ming Tanqing was knocked askew by the hug and reached out to push the Alpha away.
“…Three: No casual physical contact.”
“Got it, Sister Tanqing.”
Liang Ruojing let go, a smile on her face, but then leaned her head right back onto Ming Tanqing’s shoulder.
Watching Liang Ruojing’s ecstatic behavior, Tang Yuecen was speechless. What had this person said to her before? Promised to keep it a secret.
Now look at them—secretly “doing it,” secretly living together.
What was the next step? Secretly being in a relationship? Or secretly getting married?
Qi Lin drove the car into the Baiyu underground garage.
The effects of the suppressants hadn’t fully worn off yet, so Liang Ruojing lacked strength and was helped upstairs by Tang Yuecen.
The lonely lakeside penthouse welcomed this many people for the first time.
Tang Yuecen went back downstairs; she needed to bring over daily necessities later, and Ming Tanqing took her to the butler to register her phone number.
Only Qi Lin and Liang Ruojing were left in the apartment.
Since the entire place had only one bedroom, Liang Ruojing had no choice but to lie on the only bed—Ming Tanqing’s bed.
The mattress was soft, permeated everywhere with the private scents of daily life. Liang Ruojing quietly burrowed into the blankets and took a deep breath. The lily scent was gentle and warm; just smelling it made Liang Ruojing feel a surge of joy.
Qi Lin looked around and remarked, “When Tanqing designed and renovated this place, she definitely never imagined this day would come.”
Liang Ruojing sat up. She suddenly realized that the person standing before her was Ming Tanqing’s manager—the person who had been by Ming Tanqing’s side the longest.
“Sister Qi, can you tell me more about Sister Tanqing?”
Qi Lin turned around, met the Alpha’s eyes, and smiled. “What? You want me to help you chase Little Tanqing?”
Was it that obvious? Liang Ruojing’s ears turned red.
“I want to understand her better,” Liang Ruojing thought aloud, her eyes shining with clear longing. “Sister Ming is too mysterious. No matter how close I get, it feels like it’s not enough.”
Qi Lin teased, “Still not enough? She’s let you sleep in Baiyu. I helped oversee the renovation of this place, and I’ve never stayed overnight once.”
Liang Ruojing felt a bit smug but feigned humility: “It’s just because of the rut, a special circumstance.”
Qi Lin laughed. “I actually quite like you. You’re interesting. Tanqing is too lonely.”
A superior family background, a cold exterior, a transcendent status… there were too many factors about Ming Tanqing that made people hesitate to approach. She was always alone, independent and aloof, quietly separated from the world.
Liang Ruojing was like a dog running wild that had accidentally stumbled into this quiet field of lilies. At first, she felt that smelling the flowers from the perimeter was enough. Later, she wasn’t satisfied with circling the edge and wanted to go deep into the thicket. Finally, she wanted to move in and never leave.
Liang Ruojing suddenly remembered: “Sister Qi, do you know how Sister Ming’s illness started?”
Qi Lin shook her head. “Regarding that, I know even less than you do.” She reminisced, “Tanqing’s health has been poor for a long time. It seems she suffered some injury or illness as a child. I thought it was just a weak constitution; I didn’t realize it was a gland disease.”
At this, Qi Lin retracted her playful smile and said seriously, “Little Liang, stay with Tanqing more. She is actually very afraid of being alone…”
Before she could finish, footsteps sounded outside the room.
Ming Tanqing and Tang Yuecen were back. Qi Lin stepped out again, closing the bedroom door behind her.
Liang Ruojing lay on the bed, unable to hear the conversation clearly. She only felt a brief period of bustle outside, followed by voices gradually fading until the surroundings returned to silence.
They had all left.
Ming Tanqing walked slowly toward the room.
For the first time, someone else was sleeping in the Omega’s bedroom. The S-rank Alpha’s pheromones were assertive, floating around the Omega, restless and eager. Unfortunately, because of the suppressants, the amount was small.
Ming Tanqing walked to the bedside and observed Liang Ruojing’s face up close.
Without makeup, Liang Ruojing’s features were more prominent—a high bridge of the nose, a perfect lip shape, and eyes closed, her face appearing innocent due to her thick lashes.
As Ming Tanqing watched, she suddenly remembered the comments she had seen in the livestream chat.
“Sister’s nose is so high… it must feel so good when they’re…” “Wife! Mark me!”
The Omega’s gaze darkened. Even though they were just fan comments, her mood was affected.
Liang Ruojing held her breath, feeling the warmth of the Omega’s breath getting closer and closer. Her heart was about to jump out of her chest.
What—what was happening? Sister Tanqing is going to secretly kiss me! Well… I guess I have no choice but to agree.
Liang Ruojing even had her tongue ready when her nose was suddenly flicked. The Omega’s amused voice exploded in her ear.
“Liang Ruojing, has anyone ever told you that you’re terrible at faking sleep?”
The Alpha snapped her eyes open, her face already flushed red, her tone inexplicably aggrieved. “I only fake sleep in front of you.”
Ming Tanqing paused, then abruptly changed the subject. “Get up first. Take your medicine before sleeping.”
Liang Ruojing’s rut hadn’t fully erupted yet, as it was being suppressed by the injections. Her glands were painfully swollen but couldn’t truly release; she had to take medicine first and wait for the suppressants to wear off before receiving a temporary mark.
Her body felt as heavy as a stone, and Liang Ruojing groaned in discomfort. When Ming Tanqing approached with the capsules in her hand, Liang Ruojing simply collapsed, leaning like a boneless creature against the frail Omega.
Hehe. Such a rare opportunity—of course she had to hug her more.
Feeling like a mountain was pressing on her shoulder, Ming Tanqing felt her waist go weak from the hot breath in her ear. She closed her eyes and tried to steady her breathing. “Liang Ruojing, I know you have strength. Get up.”
“I don’t.” Liang Ruojing acted shamelessly with total conviction. Her nose pressed against the side of the Omega’s neck, greedily drinking in the pheromones.
It really is high. The inappropriate thought from earlier resurfaced.
Against the owner’s will, the lily scent became a flood, enticed by the Alpha’s rut pheromones. Her body remembered the taste, and images flashed through her mind: the Alpha’s hands propped against her thighs, head lowered, sometimes kissing softly, sometimes grinding, sometimes sucking.
The floral scent grew thicker.
Ming Tanqing frowned. The pheromones of an Alpha in heat were terrifying.
For an Alpha, the rut is the only time they are vulnerable. Therefore, to protect themselves, an Alpha’s gland secretes a unique substance during the rut to entice their Omega to stay by their side. Ming Tanqing was currently resisting this attraction encoded in her genes.
Not receiving a reaction from the Omega, Liang Ruojing felt a terrifying emptiness in her heart. Even though she understood it was because of the rut, she was still sad. Her arms tightened, and her lips had already touched the edge of Ming Tanqing’s gland.
However, in her current state, she couldn’t perform a temporary mark. She could only graze it with her teeth, licking that thin patch of skin until it turned red.
Ming Tanqing frowned. “Then keep holding me, and I’ll hand you the medicine, okay?”
Liang Ruojing nodded and looked at the Omega’s palm. A few capsules lay quietly in the center. Ming Tanqing raised her hand and held the medicine out to Liang Ruojing. She shook her wrist slightly, urging, “Take them quickly.”
In the next second, the Alpha lowered her head and took the medicine directly from Ming Tanqing’s hand.
Ming Tanqing: !
Lips pressed against the delicate palm, and a tongue flicked out, gently curling around the pills. With a light bite, her teeth also grazed the Omega’s flesh.
Even after swallowing the medicine, it wasn’t enough. Liang Ruojing lowered her head again, licking away the last traces of medicinal powder.
Once. Twice.
A numbing sensation instantly traveled up Ming Tanqing’s spine. Her eyes widened, and she nearly knocked over the water glass.
The Alpha pressed her face against the hand, looking up at the Omega with a dazed and satisfied expression.
“Sister Tanqing, your hand smells so good.”
