Becoming the Comfort Alpha for the Aloof Movie Queen - Chapter 38
Spring tides bring the rain.
At 8:00 PM, Liang Ruojing finished work and returned to the hotel.
Although Huafeng was not a major city, it had developed rapidly by relying on the film and television base of the same name. Centered around the base, skyscrapers rose in the city center, brightly lit throughout the night, showcasing the hustle and bustle of a metropolis.
Liang Ruojing’s room was on the hotel’s top floor.
Opening the door, she was greeted by a sight of golden magnificence. From the height of the 25th floor, it was easy to fall into the illusion that the whole world was within one’s grasp.
Shifting her gaze, she noticed a vase on the living room table that hadn’t been there when she left that morning. A few squeezed lilies and some pansies with fallen petals stood there quietly. Judging by the arrangement, Ming Tanqing had actually taken the care to arrange the flowers herself.
“You’re back.”
Ming Tanqing walked out from the inner room wrapped in a bathrobe. Her hair was still wet, and droplets of water from the tips left trails on her fair skin, disappearing into unseen mysteries.
Liang Ruojing nodded in response. Suddenly, Ming Tanqing leaned in, tilting her head to sniff twice at Liang Ruojing’s neck, as if inspecting her.
“Did you spray it before coming in?”
Having her little trick seen through, Liang Ruojing quickly pulled out her script to cover her tracks: “Sister Ming, I brought the script back.”
Ming Tanqing sat down on a sofa chair; her long legs crossed. She suddenly hooked her finger toward Liang Ruojing.
“Don’t talk about the scenes yet. Help me dry my hair.”
The Omega was being rightfully pampered, and Liang Ruojing, feeling even happier, went to get the hair dryer like a devoted follower.
The whirring sound of the dryer filled the silence of the room. The bathrobe was loose; from behind, the elegant lines of the Omega’s neck and shoulders were completely visible. Her collarbones were delicate, and the V-neck sat low, where black lace clung to her skin, rising and falling with her breath.
She looks so soft.
Liang Ruojing hurriedly averted her eyes, feeling the surrounding air become thick and viscous.
“Hot.”
Ming Tanqing reached out and tapped Liang Ruojing’s hand—not too hard, but not too light.
A fire ignited inexplicably, scorching Liang Ruojing’s heart. Ming Tanqing lowered her eyes, secretly observing the Alpha’s reaction.
Has she not noticed?
After waiting a few more seconds, the thin-skinned Omega bit her lip and said, “My gland has recovered.”
After a week of recuperation, the gland had returned to its original exquisite and lovely state, slightly protruding and tinged with pink at the center. Recently, they had both been very busy filming; calculating carefully, it had been nearly a week since they last marked.
Kisses could exchange pheromones, but they couldn’t soothe a restless gland.
A light scent of lily leaked out, invading Liang Ruojing’s body along her skin. Their extremely high compatibility allowed Liang Ruojing to understand the language of the pheromones.
Ming Tanqing turned her head, her eyes shimmering with moisture, filled with a hazy, shimmering invitation.
Liang Ruojing understood instantly, and that fire immediately engulfed her entire body. In the next moment, a thick scent of mint swept over everything, rushing into Ming Tanqing’s nasal cavity and causing her body to go soft.
She was too sensitive to Liang Ruojing’s pheromones. Just a little bit made her whole-body tingle uncontrollably.
Naturally, the Alpha was impatient, pressing her entire face against the back of Ming Tanqing’s neck. Her canine teeth were sharp, teasing the Omega’s most sensitive gland bit by bit.
Ming Tanqing gritted her teeth; Liang Ruojing’s touch was no different from the most potent aphrodisiac. The Alpha behind her was stickily mouthing the gland, licking and kissing, as a surging heat rushed downward.
Liang Ruojing truly loved Ming Tanqing’s pheromones. The rich floral scent carried the chill of wind and snow—noble and inviolable, yet also gentle and lovely. Especially when the lily scent was stained with the cool intensity of mint wine, taking a deep breath felt like a soul-deep shudder.
Her mouth was filled with her beloved cold fragrance of lilies. It was the ultimate satisfaction.
“Sister Ming, you smell so good.”
The Alpha’s murmur fell by her ear, making Ming Tanqing’s face turn red. What nonsense is she saying? Her waist began to tremble slightly.
The Omega’s body was already prepared to accept the pheromones that brought her pleasure. No, they couldn’t do it here. Instinct made Ming Tanqing crave more physical contact. She had long since stopped resisting Liang Ruojing’s closeness.
“Xiao Jing…”
Liang Ruojing held the Omega’s thin back with both hands, pinning her into the chair. Ming Tanqing wanted to move but was rendered powerless by the Alpha’s pheromone pressure.
“Bastard…” Ming Tanqing cursed softly, pushing the Alpha weakly. “Carry me to the bed.”
The next second, the world spun as Ming Tanqing was steadily picked up by Liang Ruojing, who even bounced her twice.
“Sister Ming, hold on tight.”
Ming Tanqing didn’t say anything, burying her face in Liang Ruojing’s chest, her two fair arms reaching out to circle tightly around Liang Ruojing’s neck.
An indescribable sense of satisfaction rose in Liang Ruojing’s heart.
The Omega was gently placed on the soft bedding. A tall figure pressed down, and a burning kiss soon fell upon her lips.
“Mmph!”
Liang Ruojing turned a deaf ear, bullying Ming Tanqing’s lips. In fact, she could no longer maintain her polite and gentle demeanor. She’s really so soft. Everything beneath her felt as if it were made of clouds. Fragrant, sweet, and hot.
Ming Tanqing also gradually found pleasure in it, no longer suppressing herself as broken whimpers continuously escaped her mouth.
“Nnh…”
The kiss ended, and Liang Ruojing rested her head against the black lace, panting. The rise and fall of that area became more violent, the white skin dazzling her eyes.
Ming Tanqing’s consciousness was still drifting in a sea of mint. The Alpha’s dependence was exceptionally pleasing to her. Perhaps influenced by pheromones, Ming Tanqing increasingly liked the obsession Liang Ruojing showed her.
She picked up two strands of flaxen hair, which visually looked like two little puppy ears. Ming Tanqing couldn’t resist and patted Liang Ruojing’s head.
The Alpha on top of her visibly stiffened. Ming Tanqing froze—why did I actually pet her? Just as she was about to apologize, a head of soft hair was suddenly delivered into her palm.
Liang Ruojing proactively rubbed her head against the Omega’s palm, then looked up, her eyes exceptionally bright: “Sister Ming, can you pet me more?”
Ming Tanqing’s cheeks flushed slightly: “No, this is a reward. I heard from Lin Xiuzhu that you’ve been acting very well lately.”
Liang Ruojing gave an “oh” in response.
Suddenly, the Omega was flipped over, pinned by the Alpha to lie face down on the bed. Liang Ruojing’s voice fell from above.
“Sister Ming, the marking isn’t finished yet.”
“Then hurry up.”
She couldn’t be fast.
Liang Ruojing pressed against the gland again, her teeth grinding up and down for a moment before finally biting through the thin skin. A continuous flow of pheromones was injected into the Omega’s body, washing over every inch of her skin.
Ming Tanqing’s scalp tingled, and she could no longer hold back, panting one breath after another.
“It’s too much…”
“Ha!”
Liang Ruojing pressed against her, feeling the swell of her lower waist pressing against her own abdomen. The Omega’s pheromones signaled an invitation.
The Alpha was also panting, asking into Ming Tanqing’s ear, “Does it feel good?”
Ming Tanqing was so overwhelmed by the pheromones crashing through her that her mind was blurred. Her lips opened unconsciously; her face full of lustrous color.
Liang Ruojing was still asking. It seemed that as long as Ming Tanqing didn’t personally admit it, Liang Ruojing wouldn’t give up.
Spring tides bring the rain. Her skin took on a sticky sensation.
Want— Want——
“Sister Ming, does it feel good?”
“Ah!”
Two voices rang out simultaneously. Ming Tanqing slumped onto the bed, her waist trembling uncontrollably. She was drenched in sweat. On the light-colored bedsheet, a dark patch bloomed.
Her voice, normally cold, now carried a seductive quality, sounding very faint.
“It feels good…”
Liang Ruojing sat up, using her pheromones to soothe the exhausted Omega. Being comforted by the mint scent, Ming Tanqing could still read the desire from the Alpha’s pheromones.
Every time after marking, Liang Ruojing would take a bizarrely long shower. Perhaps, she could help.
“…I’ll help you.”
Liang Ruojing didn’t hear clearly: “Sister Ming, can you say that again?”
Infuriating!
Ming Tanqing turned her head away: “I didn’t say anything.”
Before Liang Ruojing could think back, the phone on the nightstand suddenly rang. Liang Ruojing didn’t have time to answer, patting the Omega’s back as if petting a cat. However, that person called three times in a row.
Having calmed down, Ming Tanqing’s voice returned to its cold and distant tone: “Maybe there’s an emergency.”
“Alright.”
Reluctantly, Liang Ruojing left the Omega’s side. She opened her phone. Her eyes almost popped out.
It was Tang Yuecen!
Liang Ruojing didn’t turn on the speakerphone, but the voice on the other side was loud enough to leak out.
Tang Yuecen: “Why aren’t you answering? I’m in Huafeng! I’m heading to the hotel now. Want some late-night snacks? I’ll buy some on the way.”
Ming Tanqing propped herself up, watching Liang Ruojing as if observing a play.
Liang Ruojing had rarely been this panicked: “I want some! I want some! Sister Tang, buy a lot.”
She had to stall for as much time as possible. Hanging up the phone, Liang Ruojing breathed a sigh of relief. A teasing chuckle erupted by her ear.
“Such a big expenditure, are you hungry?”
“Sister Ming—”
Liang Ruojing’s face instantly turned bright red.
“I… I might have to go back first.”
After saying it, Liang Ruojing felt like a scumbag herself. After a temporary marking, an Omega is most inseparable from an Alpha; their longing for the Alpha’s pheromones is several times stronger than before. Previously, after marking, Ming Tanqing would spend the night sleeping in Liang Ruojing’s arms.
Sure enough, the Omega let out a soft huff and flipped over again.
“Suit yourself, after all, your side is more important.”
“Sister Ming is the most important,” Liang Ruojing blurted out.
The Omega seemed unmoved. Liang Ruojing tentatively released her pheromones, rubbing against Ming Tanqing coaxingly.
“I’ll sneak back out tonight.”
“Are you in a middle-school romance? Do you have to hide from your parents?”
“But…” Liang Ruojing said troubledly, “I can’t let others know.”
So stupid! Didn’t Qi Lin already know?
Ming Tanqing didn’t speak again. Perhaps due to the effect of the mint wine surrounding her, her anxiety was somewhat soothed.
“Just go. The night market isn’t far from here; they’ll be here in a moment.”
Liang Ruojing sat on the edge of the bed: “Sister Ming, are you angry?”
Ming Tanqing sat up, her smooth black hair falling down. The flush on her face had mostly faded, leaving only the cloying sweetness in the air to remind them of what had just happened.
“No.”
Time was tight, so Liang Ruojing began to pack her things. Ming Tanqing crossed her arms, leaning against the doorframe of the inner room.
Liang Ruojing looked left and right: “Sister Ming, have you seen that bottle of pheromone neutralizer spray?”
She was currently covered in the Omega’s pheromones; it was too concentrated, and a shower wouldn’t wash it all away. It had fallen on the bedroom floor earlier. Looking now, it was gone.
Ming Tanqing replied immediately: “I haven’t seen it.”
“I remember your manager is a Beta and can’t smell pheromones, right?” After saying that, she turned and went into the bathroom.
But— you didn’t even look for it.
Liang Ruojing had no choice but to return to her room carrying the rich scent of lilies.
Twenty minutes later, Tang Yuecen arrived upstairs with late-night snacks, and Huahua was with her, helping with some luggage. The manager had a room card.
As soon as the door opened, a wave of steam hit them. Liang Ruojing was drying her hair, walking out from the inner room all wet.
Tang Yuecen smiled and spoke to Liang Ruojing: “Not bad, I heard from Assistant Director Liu that you’ve improved a lot?”
Liang Ruojing gave an awkward smile.
Tang Yuecen sniffed the air and frowned: “What’s that smell?”
Both Liang Ruojing and Ming Tanqing had S-class pheromones; with their high compatibility, the blend was even more intense. Although Tang Yuecen was a Beta, she could feel a faint sense of pressure.
Liang Ruojing broke into a cold sweat: “It’s probably the smell of the body wash; I changed to a new one.”
Huahua covered her nose, too shocked to speak. No… it was the smell of an Omega’s pheromones!
Liang Ruojing shot her a sharp look, and Huahua went silent. The little assistant ate late-night snacks under the impact of both S-class Alpha and S-class Omega pheromones. When she left, her mood was incomparably jubilant.
Liang Ruojing succeeded in sneaking back and shared a sleep in Ming Tanqing’s embrace.
The next day, she woke up early, needing to rush back before Tang Yuecen came to pick her up. Ming Tanqing was huddled in the blankets, her beautiful face full of displeasure.
Liang Ruojing finished getting ready, believing her disguise was flawless. Tang Yuecen didn’t notice anything unusual, sharing anecdotes from her hometown as they walked.
Liang Ruojing listened absentmindedly. Her gland protested emptily, instinctively yearning for the relaxation and joy of being wrapped in the Omega’s pheromones.
The group reached the elevator and almost missed it. Someone inside held the button. The elevator doors opened again.
“Thank you—” Liang Ruojing stepped in, only to lock eyes with a pair of cool, pale grayish-blue eyes. Calm and composed, like the moon reflected in water.
The two people in the elevator happened to be Ming Tanqing and Qi Lin.
It’s over.
Liang Ruojing avoided the Omega’s gaze. But it seemed to be wishful thinking. Ming Tanqing wasn’t paying her any attention at all. Beside her, Tang Yuecen was greeting Qi Lin.
“Sister Qi, what a coincidence. Are you working as a manager again?”
Qi Lin: “I’m only managing Tanqing.”
Ming Tanqing glanced at Qi Lin, still cold and glamorous.
Liang Ruojing said nervously: “Hello, Sister Ming.”
Ming Tanqing spoke plainly: “Hello.”
Very polite, very normal.
The elevator was so quiet that one could hear the sound of heartbeats. Liang Ruojing counted the beats, watching the numbers on the screen get smaller.
Get there fast. Get there fast.
“Ding—”
The first floor arrived. Liang Ruojing and Tang Yuecen waited quietly, letting Ming Tanqing and Qi Lin exit first. Liang Ruojing focused on playing the role of a well-behaved junior, eyes downcast, using only her peripheral vision to observe the Omega’s expression.
It should be fine.
Suddenly, Ming Tanqing turned back, pulled that bottle of pheromone neutralizer out of her bag, and stuffed it into Liang Ruojing’s arms.
Her peach-blossom eyes were smiling: “Miss Liang, you left this at my place last night.”
