- As for Pink-Hair, before Falling in Love, He Insisted That He Wasn't the Possessive Type
- Chapter 6 - I Want to Add You
The little assistant was named Bu Qingyao, a girl who had recently graduated from university.
Upon receiving the message from her boss, she followed his instructions and brought the clothes over.
This photography studio had a dressing room. Yu Qingdu took the clothes from Bu Qingyao and stepped inside.
Seeing Yu Qingdu enter the dressing room, Shang Qingye’s eyes darkened with an unreadable expression. He pressed his tongue against his cheek, his gaze sweeping over the assistant who had just delivered the clothes, and he began walking toward her.
“Is your boss acting as the model himself?”
Bu Qingyao was waiting for her boss to come out when she heard a magnetic voice beside her.
She looked up and saw the tall, handsome, and intensely imposing photographer she had brought in today staring at her.
Bu Qingyao felt her face flush instantly. She suffered from a phobia of being around handsome men. She jerked her gaze away. “I, I am not quite sure. A model was supposed to be hired today, but the clothes the boss asked me to get are indeed the ones he wore before when he took the product reference photos himself.”
In her nervousness, she blurted out everything she knew. Only after speaking did she realize what she had done; she wanted to slap herself twice for being so talkative.
While they were speaking, Yu Qingdu finished changing and came out.
The moment Yu Qingdu appeared, Shang Qingye looked over. Seeing Yu Qingdu’s outfit, his pupils constricted slightly, and his Adam’s apple rolled involuntarily.
Yu Qingdu emerged wearing a thin, white, V-neck long sleeved shirt that clung loosely to his frame. The V-neck was edged with semi circular lace, perfectly revealing his slender neck.
Seeing her boss come out, Bu Qingyao stepped forward efficiently to take his sweater from him.
“Lao Chen, come over and see what needs to be added to the face,” Yu Qingdu directed lazily.
“If I can skip the makeup, then skip it. Let us move fast.”
Lao Chen immediately signaled the styling team to surround Yu Qingdu, leading him to a chair to apply sequins and other details to his face.
Once the man vanished from his line of sight, Shang Qingye calmly retracted his gaze.
True to Yu Qingdu’s request for speed, he reappeared with his face decorated in less than ten minutes.
Red sequins were applied to the corners of his eyes, and his eyelids shimmered with fine glitter, making him look exceptionally bold and flamboyant.
Yu Qingdu looked at Shang Qingye and smiled, the corners of his mouth curving upward. He brushed past him and picked up the bone chain from the still life table.
“Xiao Yao, help me put this on.”
Hearing her boss’s request, Bu Qingyao hurried over. She took the bone chain from Yu Qingdu, but looking at the height difference between them, she doubted if her boss was being serious. Had he not always put it on himself before?
She tried her best to stand on her tiptoes, but a tip-toe reach could not bridge the gap.
She looked at the bone chain in her hand with embarrassment.
“Ye-ge, why do you not do it?”
Shang Qingye was still staring blankly at the bone chain in Bu Qingyao’s hand when he heard a clear, cool voice.
He looked up to see Yu Qingdu with his right index finger pressed against his lips, staring at him with a beaming smile.
Yu Qingdu watched the man in front of him, noting that Shang Qingye held the camera in his right hand while using his left hand to rub his ear.
Shang Qingye’s lips curled into a smirk as he raised an eyebrow. “Fine, I will do it.”
He took the bone chain from Bu Qingyao and handed his camera to her. “Hold this for me, thanks.”
Bu Qingyao took the camera, nodding like a chick pecking at grain.
She stood there watching their figures intertwine and scratched her head. Was it because the boss had not modeled in so long that he no longer liked putting things on himself? And were there not chairs right there?
Yu Qingdu brushed his long pink hair to one side of his head. As Shang Qingye looked at the exposed fair skin of his neck, his pupils trembled slightly. Yu Qingdu was fairer than most men. Shang Qingye noticed a few stray strands of hair that had not been swept aside; he pinched them between his fingers, his fingertips inadvertently brushing against the skin, and tucked them back into the rest of the long hair.
He looped the bone chain under Yu Qingdu’s hair and fastened the clasp.
“Done.”
Shang Qingye’s throat felt tight, and his voice sounded a bit dry.
Yu Qingdu reached up to adjust it. He glanced at Shang Qingye, the corners of his mouth lifting in a subtle smile, and then walked toward the window.
Watching Yu Qingdu’s back, Shang Qingye impulsively sniffed his own fingers.
There was a faint, delicate fragrance.
By the time Shang Qingye approached with his camera, Yu Qingdu had already struck a pose. Yu Qingdu truly possessed a beautiful bone structure. With his long pink hair, bold makeup, elegant collarbones, and the striking bone chain, all illuminated by the fill lights, he seemed to glow. He almost overshadowed the actual product being photographed.
Shang Qingye watched him and quickly entered a professional state, bending down to find the right angles for the shoot.
After about half an hour, the work was finished.
Once the shoot was over, Shang Qingye took out his laptop, exported the raw images, and began a simple selection process.
Looking at the stunning images on the screen, which already looked great even without retouching, Shang Qingye stared at the screen and suddenly glanced around. The others were still busy cleaning up the set. His hand on the mouse clicked rapidly, so fast that it was impossible to see what he had done.
After putting the bone chain away, Yu Qingdu walked over. He stood to Shang Qingye’s right and watched him sort through the photos.
“Ye-ge, your technique is truly impressive.”
Yu Qingdu’s words were thick with ambiguity. Shang Qingye turned his head slightly to the left, and when he saw no one there, he turned back to the right. He looked at Yu Qingdu and gave a lazy smile.
“As long as you are satisfied.”
As he spoke, he pointedly licked his lips, radiating an air of sensuality.
Yu Qingdu stared at his lips and smiled.
After Shang Qingye finished the initial selection, he handed them over to Yu Qingdu for review. Yu Qingdu picked out several that absolutely needed editing, and Shang Qingye added a few more to the folder before sending it to the post production retouching teacher.
Once all that was done, his work for the day was essentially over. Just as he was putting his camera and laptop into his bag, he heard Yu Qingdu’s voice.
“Shang Qingye, come to my office with me.”
Yu Qingdu had already changed back into his sweater, though the decorations were still on his face. He glanced at Shang Qingye and stepped out of the photography studio first.
Shang Qingye shrugged, slung his bag over his shoulder, and followed Yu Qingdu into the office.
As soon as he entered, Yu Qingdu held up a QR code in front of him.
“Add me on WeChat so I can pay you the remaining balance.”
Shang Qingye looked at the QR code and scoffed, “Boss Yu, your way of asking for a WeChat contact is a bit too old fashioned.” Even so, he pulled out his phone, opened WeChat, and scanned the code in Yu Qingdu’s hand.
Yu Qingdu looked at the friend request appearing on his phone and tapped to approve it.
“You are right, but I just wanted you to know,” Yu Qingdu said, looking at Shang Qingye with a smile as his red lips parted slightly.
“I want to add you.”
Shang Qingye looked at the man before him. His Adam’s apple moved as he stared straight at him, maintaining his composure. Suddenly, he grinned widely, his eyes full of mischief.
“I thought you were going to say, I want to hit on you.”
