- Chapter 15 - Night Bank Hotel Room 1307, Coming?
“Xu Yue, work hard for the next few days and head over to the factory more often to check on things.” Yu Qingdu had bought a new ornament and was currently busy arranging it.
Xu Yue nodded and agreed to the task.
Watching Xu Yue’s retreating back, Yu Qingdu propped his chin on his hand and was lost in thought.
He had grown used to flirting with Shang Qingye during this time, so this sudden period of staying well behaved was a bit difficult to accept.
But lately, Shang Qingye had truly been nothing short of indifferent.
Indeed, Yu Qingdu had not changed at all since that day; he still flirted with him verbally every day, but Shang Qingye was no longer as willing to engage in the banter as before.
Is he embarrassed?
Yu Qingdu thought quietly, staring out the floor to ceiling window. In truth, there was nothing to see but skyscrapers, yet he continued to gaze out silently.
Even if the man was truly just pitying him, he did not feel angry.
This situation persisted until the second prototype of Yu Qingdu’s competition entry was finished. The effect of the second version was much better; it only needed some meticulous polishing to be considered a mature piece, at which point the final version could be set.
Yu Qingdu looked at the second version and nodded with satisfaction. Delivered along with it was a pair of tasseled emerald nipple rings.
“The items you wanted.” He Jinglan personally handed the items to Yu Qingdu. He looked at what he had just delivered and made a clicking sound with his tongue. “Last time it was a chain, and this time it is this. I did not realize you had this kind of preference.”
These nipple rings had also gone through two versions of modifications. Generally, Yu Qingdu’s private items were discussed and modified with He Jinglan through photos.
Yu Qingdu gripped the rings in his hand, a smile flashing in his eyes. He did not bother to explain upon hearing He Jinglan’s comment, simply saying with a smile:
“Thanks.”
He Jinglan was not one to pry. He did not ask further questions but instead looked toward the side, his tone carrying a hint of tenderness. “If you really want to thank me, let him stay at my factory a bit longer.”
Yu Qingdu followed his gaze and saw Xu Yue discussing details with Master Jiang.
As if realizing something, he turned his gaze back to He Jinglan, the corners of his mouth curling slightly. “You make it sound as if I did not pay you. If you want that, go get him yourself.”
He Jinglan and Yu Qingdu had been friends for many years. Seeing Yu Qingdu’s look of wanting to watch a good show, he threw up his hands. “Next time, I will not do it even if you pay me.”
After returning to the office, Yu Qingdu held up the rings toward the floor to ceiling window. The emeralds inlaid on them looked moist and radiant, perfectly translucent and beautiful.
He picked up his phone from the desk and made a call. After a few rings, it was picked up.
“Hello, help me book a room.”
“Mm, okay, I got it. Thanks.”
After those two sentences, Yu Qingdu hung up. He flipped through his contacts and dialed another number.
“Hello.”
A voice came from the other end, sounding somewhat out of breath.
Yu Qingdu paused for a moment upon hearing it, then asked quietly, “I hope I am not interrupting anything.”
The person on the other end seemed to know what Yu Qingdu was thinking. After a few seconds of silence, he finally said, “I am running.”
“Night running? I thought you were doing some other kind of aerobic exercise,” Yu Qingdu said nonchalantly. He was wearing headphones and had placed his phone on the desk, his fingers toyed with the tassels on the rings.
“Thank you, but I do not have that kind of interest for the time being.” Shang Qingye was still breathing heavily; judging by the frequency, he was likely still running while wearing headphones.
“Boss Yu, calling this late at night, what is it?”
Yu Qingdu was slightly dazed by the sound of Shang Qingye’s heavy breathing. He thought for a moment as if considering his words.
“Night Bank Hotel, Room 1307. Coming?”
Yu Qingdu’s tone carried a nonchalant lilt.
The moment those words left his mouth, it was as if the pause button had been pressed on the other end. The sound vanished, and even the heavy breathing gradually faded away.
Hearing the silence, Yu Qingdu arched an eyebrow and continued to toy with the tassels. “Eight thirty tonight. I will be waiting for you.”
Yu Qingdu hung up immediately, not giving Shang Qingye a chance to say a single word.
After hanging up, Yu Qingdu looked at the rings in his hand and smiled. The corners of his mouth curled upward; he did not seem to care whether the other party would show up, or rather, he believed the other party only had one choice.
By eight thirty that night, Yu Qingdu was already waiting in the room. However, looking at the decorations, he had some doubts about whether the person who arranged the room had misunderstood his intentions.
The entire room was bathed in a dim, suggestive pink light, creating a hazy and seductive atmosphere, like a layer of mist covering everything.
On the bed, rose petals were even arranged in the shape of a heart, which was both cliché and romantic.
Yu Qingdu sat on the bed and checked his phone. It was 8:34. He arched an eyebrow, and right at that moment, a series of knocks sounded at the door.
Yu Qingdu looked toward the door and smiled.
He walked over and opened the door, and sure enough, Shang Qingye was standing there.
Yu Qingdu moved aside to let Shang Qingye in, but as soon as he did, Shang Qingye saw the full view of the room.
“Are you looking for a hookup?” Shang Qingye stood at the door, arms crossed, and arched an eyebrow.
“Yes. Coming in?” Yu Qingdu looked at him, also crossing his arms and leaning against the doorframe.
Shang Qingye stood at the door for a dozen seconds before finally starting to turn away. At that moment, Yu Qingdu quickly grabbed his arm and pulled him into the room.
“Are you planning to take me by force?” Shang Qingye looked at his arm, which was still being gripped, and then at Yu Qingdu with an arched eyebrow.
Yu Qingdu looked into his eyes with a beaming smile. He brought his mouth close to the man’s left ear, his thin lips parting and closing as he spoke.
“Are you unwilling? But I do not seem to see any anger or resistance in your eyes.”
Yu Qingdu smiled and blew a soft breath into Shang Qingye’s ear.
Shang Qingye pulled him away a bit and tossed him onto the bed.
Yu Qingdu bounced once on the bed. After sitting steadily, he leaned back on his arms and looked at him. “Coming?”
“Sit properly, dammit.” Shang Qingye pulled him to make him sit up straight.
Yu Qingdu failed to see the reaction he wanted in Shang Qingye’s expression and felt a momentary flash of disappointment. He then pulled Shang Qingye down, and the two of them sat on the bed together.
“I have already transferred the money to you. Now, you should take your clothes off.”
Yu Qingdu grabbed Shang Qingye’s collar.
Hearing this, Shang Qingye pulled out his phone and took a look. Seeing the transfer from Yu Qingdu with several zeros, he did not get angry but instead laughed.
“What? Hookups are not good enough, so you have moved on to solicitation?”
Yu Qingdu laughed at Shang Qingye’s words and leaned against the man’s shoulder. “Soliciting you would cost far more than this. This money is not enough for that, but it is enough to make you take off an article of clothing.”
Following that, Yu Qingdu reached toward the bedside table and produced the pair of shimmering nipple rings. Holding them before Shang Qingye’s eyes, he said:
“You have been ignoring me lately, which makes me a bit sad. So, I have no choice but to make myself a little happier.”
