After Transmigrating Into A Novel, Not Only Did I Become An Omega, But I Also Provoked The Male Lead’s Mother - Chapter 51
Qin Yue’s mind was in chaos. She forced herself to remain calm, but the tips of her fingers, clutching her water cup, had turned white.
“You’re sure?” Qin Yue asked softly, unaware that her voice trembled slightly.
“Absolutely,” Lin Le Ran nodded. She wondered how the Big Boss could have such a grown-up son if they weren’t married.
Qin Yue’s face turned deathly pale. She felt something tightening around her throat, suffocating her and making it hard to breathe.
She suddenly realized she didn’t really know Ling Jixiao at all. Her background, family, and personal circumstances were all a mystery to her. Even the fact that she was the CEO of Minghui Group was something she’d heard from others.
How utterly laughable.
Qin Yue closed her eyes, her entire body tensing as if something were violently pounding at her heart.
Lin Le Ran noticed Qin Yue’s expression and anxiously asked if she was feeling unwell.
Qin Yue slowly shook her head, forcing a strained smile as she insisted she was fine.
The two weren’t particularly close, so Lin Le Ran simply offered a few concerned words, urging her to see a doctor if she felt unwell. When it was time to return to work in the afternoon, she hurriedly left.
If Ling Jixiao was truly married, Qin Yue would definitely leave. She had her own principles and would never be a third wheel in a relationship.
But the thought of leaving Ling Jixiao made her chest feel like it was being hammered by a sharp object, the pain unbearable.
She looked utterly dejected, her eyes vacant as she tried to clear her mind of the chaotic thoughts swirling inside.
When Ling Jixiao found Qin Yue, she saw her staring off into space, and her heart clenched.
“What’s wrong?” Ling Jixiao rushed over, taking Qin Yue’s hand and looking anxiously at her pale face.
Qin Yue’s hand was cold, her palm clammy with sweat.
Qin Yue stared blankly at Ling Jixiao, then slowly withdrew her hand and shook her head.
“What happened?” Ling Jixiao didn’t mind that Qin Yue had pulled away. She reached out and gently touched Qin Yue’s cheek. “Can you tell me?”
Seeing Ling Jixiao’s worried expression, Qin Yue’s eyes reddened. She felt she needed to confirm things with her own eyes. She didn’t want to lose someone she cared about.
“Why are you crying?” Ling Jixiao frowned, her eyes full of tenderness. “If you don’t want to talk about it, that’s okay,” she soothed.
No sooner had Ling Jixiao spoken than Qin Yue’s tears began to fall.
Ling Jixiao sighed and pulled Qin Yue into her arms, patting her back.
“H-have you ever lied to me?” Qin Yue whimpered, her voice so soft it seemed like a breeze that could scatter it away.
Ling Jixiao heard Qin Yue’s question. She thought about it carefully and realized that, apart from hiding the fact that her pheromones smelled like mint, she hadn’t really lied to Qin Yue about anything.
“Is it because I hid that my pheromones smell like mint?” she asked. “But that was just withholding information, not an outright lie. And you already know now.”
Qin Yue tugged at Ling Jixiao’s clothes, straightened up, and looked her in the eye. “It feels like I don’t know you at all.”
“Then tell me what you want to know, and I’ll answer completely,” Ling Jixiao replied with a smile.
Qin Yue lowered her gaze, pondered for a moment, and gently asked, “Are you married?”
Hearing this question, Ling Jixiao was utterly confused. “No, I’m not married.”
“Really?” Qin Yue asked again.
Ling Jixiao quickly affirmed, “If you don’t believe me, I’ll bring my household registration book tomorrow so you can see for yourself.” The book clearly stated she was single.
Qin Yue believed Ling Jixiao’s words and immediately broke into a smile, though a lingering doubt remained. Logically, Lin Le Ran couldn’t possibly have lied to her.
“So… you have a son?” Qin Yue asked, her voice tinged with confusion.
Ling Jixiao froze momentarily, pursing her lips. She hadn’t expected Qin Yue to know about this, but she hadn’t planned to hide it either. She nodded. “Yes, I adopted a son.”
Initially, she hadn’t told Qin Yue, worried that revealing her son was roughly the same age as Qin Yue would feel awkward, as if they were from different generations. Later, she simply forgot about Ling Jingxi altogether.
After all, she had never really cared for Ling Jingxi. If Grandpa Ling hadn’t insisted that she either marry or adopt an heir, Ling Jixiao would never have considered raising a child.
Hearing it was an adopted son, Qin Yue breathed a sigh of relief, her tension visibly easing. Embarrassed for misunderstanding Ling Jixiao, she casually asked, “So… how old is that child?”
Ling Jixiao hesitated before answering truthfully, “Nineteen…”
“Is he nine?!” Qin Yue laughed. “He should still be in elementary school!”
Ling Jixiao: “……” Was it her who had phrased it wrong, or was Qin Yue hearing it wrong?
Ling Jixiao quickly tried to explain, “No, it’s not…”
Before she could finish, Qin Yue hissed sharply, her body stiffening as she frowned deeply, a pained expression on her face.
“What’s wrong?” Ling Jixiao asked anxiously. “Does it hurt somewhere?”
Qin Yue flushed, glaring at Ling Jixiao and muttering, “It’s all your fault!”
Not only was her waist sore, but there was also a tingling ache between her legs, likely swollen and red. That’s why she’d called off her afternoon shift at work.
“We agreed not to last night, and you still wanted it,” Qin Yue grumbled. Toward the end, she’d been unable to take any more, yet Ling Jixiao’s stamina remained unflagging.
Seeing Qin Yue’s pained expression, Ling Jixiao immediately understood. Embarrassed, she offered, “Then… shall I rub your back?” She reached out to massage Qin Yue’s waist.
“Get off!” Qin Yue lightly smacked Ling Jixiao’s hand, bracing herself against the table to stand. The lingering soreness made her feel unsteady. “I’m going back. I need to lie down in my dorm for a while.”
Ling Jixiao didn’t want to part from Qin Yue. “My office has a rest area,” she quickly suggested. “There’s a bed and a bathroom—everything you need.”
“And… wouldn’t you like to see my office?” Ling Jixiao added temptingly.
Qin Yue stared at her, then suddenly laughed. “Sure, I’ll check if you have any pretty secretaries!”
“Welcome to the inspection!” Ling Jixiao said cheerfully, guiding Qin Yue.
Under Ling Jixiao’s lead, Qin Yue smoothly entered the Minghui Group headquarters. Her last visit had been to search for Lin Le Ran, but due to her ignorance of the Omega’s estrus period, she had been unexpectedly and thoroughly ravaged by Ling Jixiao.
The memory of that incident left Qin Yue feeling irritable toward Ling Jixiao.
That sneaky woman really kept me in the dark!
Knowing she was in the wrong, Ling Jixiao didn’t dare utter a word.
As they reached the CEO’s office, the outer secretary’s office door opened. Su Yao emerged with documents in hand. Noticing Qin Yue and Ling Jixiao, she paused before respectfully greeting, “Hello, Miss Qin. Would you like anything to drink? I’ll arrange it.”
“Just water, thank you, Secretary Su,” Qin Yue replied, clearly uncomfortable in this unfamiliar setting, her voice slightly restrained.
Ling Jixiao pulled Qin Yue into her own office.
The space resembled more of a living room than an office. Floor-to-ceiling windows let sunlight flood in, while massive bookshelves lined the walls, filled with foreign language books. A wide desk stood in the center, cluttered with documents, and a plush leather sofa sat to the side, looking invitingly soft.
There was another door on the side of the office that led to a break room with a bed and a bathroom, perfect for taking a break.
Su Yao initially wanted to have someone else fetch water for Qin Yue, but then remembered that Ling Jixiao hadn’t publicly acknowledged their relationship yet. To avoid rumors, she decided to personally go to the break room, fetch two glasses of water, and bring them back.
Qin Yue sat on the sofa, blushing and thanking her shyly.

Before leaving, Su Yao turned to look at Ling Jixiao and Qin Yue, her tone businesslike yet her words carrying a playful undertone. “CEO Ling, rest assured. I’ve informed everyone that you’re meeting with an important client. No one will disturb you.”
Ling Jixiao smiled, his eyes filled with admiration.
Still dazed, Qin Yue stared blankly like a bewildered little animal as Su Yao simply walked away.
By the time Qin Yue snapped out of it, her face was bright red. “What was she trying to say?”
“Nothing.” Ling Jixiao walked over and pressed a water cup into Qin Yue’s hand. “Drink some water.”
“Oh.” Qin Yue angrily gulped down a large mouthful.
“But if you want something… that’s possible too.” Ling Jixiao suddenly leaned closer.
“Keep dreaming!” Qin Yue sprang to her feet and tried to escape, but Ling Jixiao chased her down and trapped her against the desk.
Their bodies pressed together, their temperatures mingling, creating an atmosphere thick with intimacy.
“Yes, I was being too hopeful,” Ling Jixiao murmured, her words swallowed by their kissing lips.
Unlike yesterday’s passionate and domineering approach, today’s Ling Jixiao was tender and lingering, savoring Qin Yue’s lips with slow, deliberate movements.
The tingling heat from their kiss, combined with the faint mint scent lingering in the air, made Qin Yue unconsciously half-close her eyes, her eyelashes trembling.
With a sudden force, Ling Jixiao lifted Qin Yue onto the desk. Before Qin Yue could react, she kissed her neck and slipped her hand under the hem of her shirt.
“Stop…” Qin Yue gently pushed at Ling Jixiao’s shoulder, her touch so light it seemed more like an invitation than a refusal.
Last night, Ling Jixiao had tasted the sweetness of their union, witnessing Qin Yue’s blossoming like a ripe peach—juicy, fragrant, and leaving a lingering aftertaste that made her crave more.
She craved Qin Yue’s body, adored Qin Yue herself, and wanted more and more. One night could never satisfy her; it seemed a lifetime wouldn’t be enough.
Qin Yue’s refusal made Ling Jixiao hesitate. She kissed the pale neck, abandoning her CEO demeanor, and whined like a child, “You’re going back to school tomorrow, and we won’t see each other again. It’s rare for you to have a day off—stay with me today. I’ll drive you back first thing tomorrow morning, so you won’t be late!”
The ticklish sensation on her neck made Qin Yue giggle, and her protests grew weaker. “Ling Jixiao, this is your office!”
“No one else is here!” Ling Jixiao pouted, her hand boldly moving upward to cover the soft mound and gently pinching the small pearl at its peak.
Qin Yue instantly melted, completely at Ling Jixiao’s mercy.
Her eyes welled with tears, and though she tried to kick Ling Jixiao in frustration, her heart wasn’t in it. “Stop! I’m still sore!”
“It’s okay, I won’t hurt you!” Ling Jixiao paused, then remembered something. She pulled off Qin Yue’s cumbersome clothes, revealing her slender legs, and moved to kneel down.
Sensing Ling Jixiao’s intention, Qin Yue panicked. “No! It’s not clean!”
Ling Jixiao didn’t mind Qin Yue’s condition, but seeing how much it bothered her, she sighed and grabbed some disinfectant wipes from the desk.
The coolness spread over her skin, and as Ling Jixiao gently wiped her down, Qin Yue shivered, her eyes growing even redder, her expression hovering between tears and restraint—a picture of pitiful vulnerability that made him want to tease her mercilessly.
