After Transmigrating into a Book, I Was Entangled by the Paranoid Eldest Princess - Chapter 18
Chapter 18
When Wen Chenqing encountered Yun Qingqing again in the dining hall of Jinyun Academy, she had already forgotten the events of two days prior. It was only when the other party saw her from afar and approached with a smile to offer greetings that she remembered.
“Sister Wen!” Yun Qingqing called out to her, quickly weaving through the crowd to reach her and performing a formal hand-and-fist salute. “Thanks to your kind reminder the day before yesterday, I didn’t miss Master Wang. I wonder if I might treat you to a meal to express my gratitude?”
Wen Chenqing couldn’t find a way to refuse, so she ended up sitting at the same table under the other girl’s enthusiastic invitation.
The variety of food in the academy’s dining hall was quite decent. Wen Chenqing wasn’t a picky eater and chose two dishes at random, though she was forced to add two more under Yun Qingqing’s passionate persistence.
After eating, the two became more familiar with each other.
Leaving the dining hall, they walked together toward the lecture hall.
Back in the dining hall, Yun Qingqing had already learned Wen Chenqing’s full name, but she habitually addressed her as “Sister Wen.”
For some reason, walking beside Sister Wen made Yun Qingqing feel an exceptional sense of reliability.
“Before coming to Jinyun Academy, I looked forward to the days of studying here very much,” Yun Qingqing said with some distress. “But after arriving, I found that many things are different from what I imagined.”
Yun Qingqing used to study at the Yun Family Manor. The Yun family was very wealthy in that region, so she had always enjoyed good popularity.
But now that she was at Jinyun Academy, the people studying here also came from families that were either noble or wealthy. Yun Qingqing appeared quite ordinary by comparison, and since she had just arrived, she hadn’t made any close friends yet.
She wasn’t a spoiled person; it was just that aside from her personal maid, she wasn’t familiar with anyone else. Seeing other classmates walking in pairs or groups made her feel a bit low.
Wen Chenqing’s gaze swept over the plain white silk flower on top of her head. After a moment of silence, she said: “You’ll get used to it slowly.”
Yun Qingqing looked at her expectantly: “Then when I go to the dining hall every day, can I look for you, Sister Wen?”
She had noticed that Sister Wen didn’t have any classmates accompanying her in the dining hall either.
Wen Chenqing politely declined: “Sometimes I am with another classmate.”
It was just that her meal buddy had taken leave these past two days, which was why she appeared to be alone.
“Alright then.” Yun Qingqing was a bit disappointed, but she still forced a smile.
As they neared the lecture hall, Wen Chenqing stopped and pointed at the hair accessory on her head, asking: “Are you in mourning?”
Yun Qingqing, who was still dressed very plainly today, touched the silk flower, a hint of sorrow appearing in her eyes: “Yes. My elder sister unfortunately passed away a while ago.”
Wen Chenqing said naturally: “It seems you and your sister were very close.”
“…” Yun Qingqing fell silent for a moment, pulling up a forced smile: “My relationship with my sister was indeed quite good when we were children.”
They were very close in their youth, but they grew distant as they got older. However, Yun Qingqing still deeply respected her eldest sister in her heart and had even argued with her father many times because of it. Perhaps because of this, her father never revealed the details about the Qian family to her. After her sister passed away, she was actually the last one to know the full story.
Mentioning her eldest sister and thinking of the last time she saw her with her eyes tightly shut, Yun Qingqing felt like crying again.
She sniffed and said: “Even though my eldest sister is gone, I will remember her forever.”
Wen Chenqing nodded: “If a person is forgotten by time, only then have they truly vanished. Your sister will live in your heart forever; that is another form of eternal existence.”
Yun Qingqing’s eyes lit up: “Sister Wen is right! I will remember her forever!”
There was still some time before the teacher began the lesson, so Wen Chenqing took the opportunity to chat more with Yun Qingqing.
She intended to learn more about A-Jin’s past from Yun Qingqing, while Yun Qingqing felt comforted by the chance to talk about her deceased sister. The two spoke until the teacher arrived carrying the lesson plans before they parted.
Over the course of one afternoon, Wen Chenqing gained a wealth of information.
She learned many things A-Jin used to like doing and eating from Yun Qingqing, and she planned to take A-Jin to do them one by one when she had time. She also noted the things A-Jin couldn’t touch, which she needed to be careful of.
At the same time, she made up her mind: for the time being, she must ensure A-Jin and Yun Qingqing do not meet.
Since A-Jin was very satisfied with her current life, Wen Chenqing didn’t want to ruin it.
However, Yun Qingqing was not in the same lecture hall as her, so they wouldn’t meet often, and A-Jin was currently recuperating at the villa while reading, so under normal circumstances, the two wouldn’t cross paths.
Wen Chenqing had just solidified this thought during the day, but that night, while chatting idly with A-Jin, she heard her mention the academy.
“A-Qing has been at the academy for a while now. Do you have any classmates you are close with?”
Is this the girlfriend checking in on her?
Wen Chenqing thought for a moment and said: “There is a classmate I often go to eat with.”
Si Jinghua had asked casually, but she didn’t expect to fall somewhat silent after hearing Wen Chenqing’s answer.
“Do you eat together every day at noon?”
“Not necessarily. She hasn’t been at the academy these past two days.”
Si Jinghua, who sometimes took the opportunity during the day to amuse herself at the hunting grounds, let the corners of her lips curve slightly as she said gloomily: “A-Qing has someone to accompany her every day. Unlike me, who can only wait longingly for when you will return.”
Wen Chenqing felt a surge of guilt upon hearing this.
A-Jin’s daily range of activity was indeed a bit narrow.
But one cannot simply stop studying. She remembered Yun Qingqing saying her sister used to love watching operas, so she said: “I have a break in two days. Let’s go out for a stroll together. I heard a very famous opera troupe is coming to Yaoding; we can go listen to the opera.”
Once A-Jin had reviewed her books sufficiently, she could think of a way to let A-Jin study at the academy with her.
By then, quite some time would have passed since “Yun Zijin” passed away. Even if they really ran into Yun Qingqing at the academy, it would be easy to bluff their way through.
Si Jinghua nodded indifferently. She reached out her hand to press against Wen Chenqing’s opening and closing lips, her phoenix eyes gazing at her like shimmering autumn waters: “We’ll talk about the break when it comes. A-Qing, lower your head and kiss me.”
They were sitting side by side, but A-Jin was leaning lazily against her, so Wen Chenqing had to lower her head to reach her.
A-Jin’s tone sounded more like giving an order than intimate acting-spoiled.
Wen Chenqing’s throat bobbed. She followed the command, bowing her head to press against those soft lips.
They had spent plenty of time with their lips pressed together over the last two days; Wen Chenqing no longer felt the base of her ears turn red when doing such innocent kissing.
A-Jin held her head, and just as she was about to pull away, A-Jin opened her lips and flicked her tongue out to lick Wen Chenqing.
Receiving the signal, Wen Chenqing no longer retreated.
A look of satisfaction flowed through the depths of Si Jinghua’s eyes.
Wen Chenqing held A-Jin tightly, meeting her affectionate phoenix eyes. The temperature of the ambiguity rose; both knew exactly what was going to happen next.
The one holding the initiative was still A-Jin.
Wen Chenqing only felt a slight itching on her lips. A-Jin’s soft tongue was like a master inspecting her territory, suckling and playing everywhere to mark her domain.
Her heart felt tingly and numb, beating like a drum.
As their lips and tongues licked and tasted, Wen Chenqing tasted the lingering bitter taste of the ginseng soup A-Jin had just drunk, as well as the deeper, burning sweetness that belonged uniquely to her.
She suddenly wanted to seize more of that sweetness.
The initiative unknowingly shifted during the confrontation.
Wen Chenqing pressed against the back of her neck, and her probing, licking motions suddenly deepened, carrying a hint of overbearing, unquestionable possessive desire.
The world was silent yet incredibly loud.
Si Jinghua could hear the slight crackle of the candle wick, the moist sound of their mutual swallowing and breathing, and the sound of their hurried, gasping breaths.
Her reason nearly spiraled out of control. She gripped Wen Chenqing’s hair and let out a soft whimper between her teeth, feeling an unprecedented sense of pleasure under Wen Chenqing’s leaning, overbearing offensive.
In the midst of the dizzying blur that made it nearly impossible to breathe, Wen Chenqing heard that whimper and leaned back slightly to pull away.
The person immersed in the kiss still pursued her reluctantly. Wen Chenqing lowered her eyes, only catching a glimpse of A-Jin’s bright red tongue-tip lingering longingly before retreating back into the warm, wet mouth.
Si Jinghua opened her eyes. Her phoenix eyes were as deep as the sea under the night sky, hiding a storm that had just subsided.
Wen Chenqing was still a bit out of breath. Looking at A-Jin’s appearance, she hadn’t expected herself to be so naturally gifted and actually quite good at kissing.
Si Jinghua curled her slightly swollen lips. After her breathing calmed, she said: “A-Qing is more impressive than I imagined.”
Wen Chenqing usually looked refined and gentle; she hadn’t expected her to be quite fierce when kissing, unknowingly snatching away the initiative.
But—Si Jinghua toyed with Wen Chenqing’s earlobe, thinking happily that a person who usually looked extremely green and shy, yet became somewhat dominant during intimacy, was a rather good feeling.
After all, if Wen Chenqing had dared to be dominant toward her under normal circumstances, Si Jinghua would have dealt with her long ago.
But when she was dominant during a kiss, she felt it had a different, special flavor.
Wen Chenqing felt a bit shy from the praise: “It was alright.”
She forced herself to remain calm on the outside, though her heart was filled with joy.
Perhaps she really did have some talent.
Si Jinghua looked thoughtfully at Wen Chenqing’s green appearance and suddenly asked: “Has A-Qing ever kissed anyone else like this?”
Wen Chenqing’s eyes widened slightly. She said: “No, you are the first person I have ever loved.”
Si Jinghua stared at her for a long time, so long that Wen Chenqing felt a slight chill down her spine before she finally smiled with satisfaction: “Very good.”
If you had kissed anyone else, then you would have had to die.
