After Transmigrating into a Book, I Had a Flash Marriage with the Beautiful Crazy Villain - Chapter 48.2
Chu Ling doubted herself for a second before carefully trying again.
But the arm didn’t move an inch. Defeated, she let out a sigh.
After staring at that hand for a while, she suddenly realized something and tensed up completely.
Blinking slowly, she turned her head just enough to glance behind her.
Sure enough, Song Qingyi was already awake, silently watching her.
Chu Ling’s pupils trembled in shock, and she jerked her head back as far as she could.
This distance was way too dangerous!
Then, with a face full of frustration, she turned back, pretending nothing had happened though internally, her mind was in complete turmoil.
When did Song Qingyi wake up?! Why didn’t she say anything?!
Ahhhh, this is bad, this is bad! What do I do now?!
Her brain went into overdrive before she abruptly calmed down.
Wait… why was she the one feeling guilty here?
She was the one who got slept with!
With renewed confidence, she turned back and glared at Song Qingyi.
In that short span of time, Song Qingyi had watched as Chu Ling lost herself in thought, her first instinct being to flee only to fail, pretend nothing happened, and then, for some reason, turn back with newfound boldness to glare at her.
Song Qingyi nearly lost her composure.
Just what was going through Chu Ling’s mind? She was genuinely curious.
“Aren’t you going to explain yourself?!” Chu Ling tried her best to sound intimidating.
Song Qingyi’s heart skipped a beat, she found it unbearably cute.
A faint smile curled at her lips as she asked lazily, “Explain what?”
Chu Ling stared at her in disbelief. “You last night, I and you’re not going to explain?!”
Song Qingyi tilted her head, amused. “Mm, I slept with you. And then?”
Chu Ling’s pupils shook violently.
That’s not something you just skip explaining?!
“Don’t try to dodge this!” Chu Ling snapped. “What did you mean by all those things you said last night? Song Qingyi, don’t you like Ye Zhiyin?!”
She finally blurted it out. It had been weighing on her mind. Sure, Song Qingyi had said something last night, but she’d been drunk, who knew if a drunkard’s words could be trusted?
And if she had been drunk then Song Qingyi was terrifying when intoxicated. Even half-conscious, she could still seduce someone!
The memory of last night’s temptation resurfaced in Chu Ling’s mind.
Sure, Song Qingyi had lured her in at first, but the latter half…
Chu Ling trembled all over, her emotions instantly thrown into disarray.
Song Qingyi was indeed a temptress!
“What are you thinking about?”
Song Qingyi spoke slowly.
Chu Ling didn’t react immediately, dazedly replying, “I was thinking about last night when we… No! Don’t change the subject, answer my question first.”
The corners of Song Qingyi’s lips curled up as she gazed at her with an enigmatic smile. “You think I like Ye Zhiyin? Who told you that?”
Chu Ling: “Never mind who said it, just answer me first.”
Could she even say it? Was she supposed to admit it was because she’d read a book where the plot went like this?
Song Qingyi’s eyes darkened for a fleeting moment. “I made myself very clear last night, Lingling. Do you need me to help you remember?”
Chu Ling’s breath hitched in fright, her body reacting shamelessly to those words.
Song Qingyi’s expression shifted slightly, and she laughed. “Seems like you enjoy it.”
With that, she leaned in closer, inhaling deeply at the crook of Chu Ling’s neck before placing a soft, teasing kiss there.
Like a reflex, Chu Ling shuddered violently at the stimulation. A tingling, electric sensation instantly spread through her entire body, forcing an uncontrollable moan from her lips.
Then she froze, utterly disbelieving that such a sound could have come from her.
“Ahhh! Song Qingyi!!”
Song Qingyi only held her tighter, her voice turning syrupy as she asked, “What’s wrong?”
Chu Ling squirmed, glaring at her with little effect.
Song Qingyi lifted her head to meet her gaze, eyes feigning innocence.
Chu Ling gritted her teeth, her expression stern. “Stay away from me first!”
Song Qingyi replied lazily, “No.”
Then she kissed Chu Ling’s earlobe again, her exquisite voice dripping with affection as she whispered by her ear.
“Lingling!”
Chu Ling jolted, completely unable to withstand such teasing.
Her face flushed instantly, and her glare wavered.
“Lingling, Lingling, Lingling…”
“You’re finally mine.”
“I never liked Ye Zhiyin. It’s you I love, but you’re such a fool, completely oblivious.”
“I waited for you for so long. How could you be so cruel as to forget me?”
“Lingling, my Lingling.”
Each whispered confession exploded in her ears, and Chu Ling’s mind grew increasingly hazy. She could no longer think of anything only Song Qingyi’s voice remained crystal clear, every word brimming with love.
Chu Ling felt it, helplessly sinking deeper.
Song Qingyi truly loved her.
Song Qingyi actually didn’t like Ye Zhiyin?!
The plot… the plot had deviated so wildly. What on earth was going on?
Her rationality returned for a brief second before crumbling once more under Song Qingyi’s relentless advances.
By the time it was all over, Chu Ling lay sprawled on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
How could anyone… first thing in the morning?!
Chu Ling reflected on herself. While Song Qingyi had certainly tempted her, it wasn’t as if she hadn’t been unable to resist.
Now, she had truly experienced Song Qingyi’s feelings for her firsthand.
Yet even so, Chu Ling still felt dazed. The mere fact that Song Qingyi loved her seemed utterly surreal.
She turned her head and saw Song Qingyi, radiating satisfaction. Her heart pounded wildly, and she froze again, more viscerally aware of Song Qingyi’s affection for her.
Chu Ling hesitated for a moment before asking, “Song Qingyi, when… did you actually start liking me?”
Song Qingyi’s fingers paused slightly. “Want to know?”
Chu Ling nodded. She truly couldn’t figure it out.
Song Qingyi let out a soft hum, her gaze distant. “Lingling, I still haven’t forgiven you for forgetting about me.”
Chu Ling was startled. “What? I forgot about you? When?!”
She genuinely hadn’t expected this turn of events.
It couldn’t be possible. She had transmigrated into this world, so if she had known Song Qingyi before, it must have been the original host, not her.
Realizing this, Chu Ling froze, suddenly feeling a tightness in her chest.
So Song Qingyi had known “her” all along.
Chu Ling’s expression turned dazed.
Noticing her reaction, Song Qingyi paused and frowned slightly. “What are you thinking about?”
Chu Ling’s expression was too unusual for Song Qingyi not to be concerned.
Chu Ling shook her head and cautiously asked, “So we’ve known each other for a long time, right?”
Song Qingyi didn’t answer immediately, instead studying Chu Ling’s expression carefully.
Chu Ling let her look, though she couldn’t help but feel nervous.
Finding nothing amiss, Song Qingyi nodded and moved closer, gently caressing Chu Ling’s cheek. “Lingling, remember quickly. Don’t make me wait too long.”
Chu Ling remained silent, her expression blank.
Song Qingyi had already dressed and left the room, presumably to freshen up.
Chu Ling flopped back onto the bed, her mind in turmoil.
The good news was that the plot had derailed beyond recognition Song Qingyi didn’t like Ye Zhiyin; she liked her instead.
The bad news was that she wasn’t the original host, so Song Qingyi’s affection wasn’t truly for her.
Chu Ling didn’t know how to describe the rollercoaster of emotions she was experiencing.
The joy of discovering the plot had long since collapsed didn’t last long before the next problem presented itself.
How was she supposed to explain this to Song Qingyi?
From the way Song Qingyi spoke, they must have known each other for a long time.
But she knew nothing about it…
Suddenly, Chu Ling’s eyes lit up, she knew who to ask!
Maybe their mothers would know!
Chu Ling racked her brain, recalling everything that had happened recently, and she did notice something odd.
First, the way their mothers treated Song Qingyi didn’t seem like they had just met.
At the time, she thought it was because they knew Song Qingyi was her blind date and found her agreeable. But now, it seemed more likely they had known each other all along, which explained all the inconsistencies.
She needed… to go back home.
Deep down, Chu Ling already had a guess, but she wanted to confirm it herself.
When Song Qingyi returned to the room after freshening up, Chu Ling looked up just as a cool, refreshing fragrance enveloped her senses.
A soft press against her lips Song Qingyi had kissed her.
The kiss was fleeting, over before Chu Ling could even react.
She stared blankly at Song Qingyi.
“Be good and wait for me at home.”
With that, Song Qingyi left.
Chu Ling’s expression was complicated. She immediately sprang up and fled Song Qingyi’s room just thinking about what had happened there made her scalp tingle.
After quickly getting ready, she headed out as well.
She had intended to ask their mothers, but she had forgotten they had gone on a trip with Aunt Zhou for the National Day holiday.
And the one who caused this situation was none other than her.
Chu Ling stood at the doorway and let out a sigh.
She turned around, momentarily unsure of where to go.
Should she go back?
But she didn’t really feel like returning.
After hesitating for a long time, Chu Ling finally called Qiu Shuang.
Qiu Shuang always had her phone on hand and answered it quickly, though her tone was equally downcast.
Chu Ling was taken aback, her attention immediately drawn by the other’s unusual demeanor.
Over the phone, Qiu Shuang didn’t say much, but the two agreed to meet up and talk in person, giving Chu Ling a destination at last.
When she arrived, Qiu Shuang showed up shortly after, but her appearance was completely different from usual. Chu Ling froze for a moment.
“What’s going on with you? Why do you look so worn out?”
Qiu Shuang paused, her voice faint and distant. “Lingling, you were actually right.”
Chu Ling: “?”
“That person, Bai Ying. After we added each other as friends, she kept messaging me and even asked me out. I thought she was up to no good and wanted to figure out what she was after.
So I agreed to meet, but it turned out she was confessing to me! I saw her as a rival, but she actually likes me?!”
Chu Ling nearly laughed but managed to hold it in.
“If it was just a confession, why do you still look so exhausted? Did you say yes?”
Qiu Shuang looked indignant. “Say yes? I was so stunned I didn’t know what to do! And to make things even more dramatic, Fang Manwen saw the whole thing!”
Chu Ling’s pupils trembled suddenly, she felt like she and Qiu Shuang were truly sisters in misfortune.
She sucked in a sharp breath. “So, what did you?”
Qiu Shuang: “I was just too shocked, you know?”
Chu Ling nodded. “Anyone would be.”
Qiu Shuang’s voice grew heavy. “So, I ran away!”
Chu Ling took a moment to process this before gasping. “Huh? You ran?”
She tried to understand but failed.
Qiu Shuang covered her face. “Ugh, I can’t believe myself, why did I run?!”
Chu Ling wanted to know too, so she gave her a sympathetic look. “So, what did you do after that?”
Qiu Shuang slumped dejectedly. “I don’t know. Bai Ying messaged me, but I didn’t reply. And Fang Manwen, she reached out too, but I ignored her as well.”
She stewed in her frustration for a while but still couldn’t make sense of it. Deciding to change the subject, she looked up at Chu Ling.
“What about you? What did you want to talk about?”
Chu Ling hesitated, her fingers absently tracing the rim of her cup.
After a long pause, she finally spoke. “I, Song Qingyi and I, uh, well, we you know.”
Qiu Shuang was silent, as if processing, before her eyes slowly widened. “You and Song Qingyi finally slept together?!!”
“!”
Help, don’t say it so loud!!!
