After The Web Novel Great God Transmigrated As A Scummy Online Dating Top - Chapter 30
Chapter 30
Chu Meng knew how to balance pursuit with space. She didn’t drag Lin Muxue out shopping every day—largely because she wasn’t actually idle enough to play all day.
However, thanks to that full day of “cloud-shopping” and Chu Meng’s creative interpretation of the word “girlfriend,” whenever Chu Meng playfully or flirtatiously called her that now, Lin Muxue stopped trying to correct her. She had essentially surrendered to Chu Meng’s flimsy “new vocabulary definition.”
With the mission making significant progress, Chu Meng’s schedule became packed. Between training, streaming, and commercial events, she was busy preparing for a series of “friendship matches” leading up to The International TI.
Of course, when the opponents were the “Small-island” R-Country or the “Kimchi-scented” H-Country, the “friendship” part was mostly for show. The combat genes in Chu Meng’s DNA were fully activated.

The Accidental Trip
Meanwhile, Lin Muxue had accepted a new job: voicing characters for an upcoming online game. Although voice acting was just one of her many side hustles, she took it seriously, studying the backstories of the nine characters she was assigned (including two male roles).
Her old classmate, Zhou Jiajia, was thrilled for her. Instead of being jealous, she actively helped Lin Muxue connect with professional CVs for tips. To show her gratitude, Lin Muxue offered to treat her to dinner.
Zhou Jiajia’s eyes lit up with a mischievous glint. “You really want to thank me?”
Lin Muxue felt a chill down her spine. Before she could retreat, Zhou Jiajia whipped out two tickets and spun in a circle. “Ta-da! Look! Tickets to the DM Team vs. H-Country’s PP Team friendship match! They are super hard to get!”
She said this in an exaggerated, high-pitched “cutesy” voice, blinking her eyes like an anime character.
Lin Muxue: “…”
Gritting her teeth to ignore the strange looks from passersby, Lin Muxue replied flatly, “You really… didn’t have to do that.”
It was strange. Her “cute online friend” also used a cutesy tone, but when she did it, Lin Muxue found it endearing. When Zhou Jiajia did it, Lin Muxue wanted to vanish into the earth’s core.
I guess that’s the difference between the 2D world and the 3D world, Lin Muxue mused.
Zhou Jiajia pouted. “Ah-Xue, please come with me! I’ll cover the airfare, hotel, and food! I’ve loved ‘A-Du’ from the DM team for so many years, and he’s retiring after this year’s TI! If I don’t see him now, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life!”
Lin Muxue, ever logical, pointed out: “You’ve loved him for ‘so many years’? A pro gamer’s career is usually only a few years long.”
Zhou Jiajia admitted she had actually only become a fan during last October’s TI finals when she saw A-Du cry after their loss. Moved by his tears, she had joined the ranks of “girlfriend fans.”
Though she didn’t quite get the appeal of celebrity worship, Lin Muxue agreed to go as a short vacation. She refused to let Jiajia pay for everything, though. With her first novel’s payout coming in at over 200,000 RMB after taxes, she was finally financially comfortable.
…
Midnight at the Airport
Zhou Jiajia had promised to handle all the logistics. However, Lin Muxue discovered that Jiajia’s “perfect planning” was a disaster.
At 11:30 PM, Lin Muxue received the e-tickets and realized Jiajia had booked the flight for 1:00 AM that night—thinking “1:00” meant 1:00 PM the next afternoon.
Lin Muxue dashed to the airport, finding a disheveled Zhou Jiajia already there in her pajamas and slippers.
“Just… give me your ‘perfect travel plan,'” Lin Muxue sighed.
She opened the document to find a mess of colorful borders and vague notes like “Afternoon: eat something yummy” and “Night: look at the view.” No addresses, no bookings, no logic.
While waiting to board, Lin Muxue opened her laptop, connected to her phone’s hotspot, and began building a real 7-day itinerary for A-City. While she worked, she checked V-xin to see what her “Night Owl” friend was up to.
She saw Chu Meng’s latest Moments—angrily declaring she would “crush her enemies under her feet”likely a gaming rant. Lin Muxue liked the post and sent a message.
Chao Mu Cheng Xue: You won’t believe this. I’m at the airport because my classmate booked our 1:00 PM flight for 1:00 AM instead…
She went on a rare, long-winded rant about Jiajia’s blunders. Chu Meng, ever the supportive listener, sent back a 10-second voice clip of her laughing hysterically. Hearing that cheerful, energetic laugh made Lin Muxue smile.
When Zhou Jiajia returned from the restroom (having finally changed out of her pajamas), she saw Lin Muxue smiling and felt moved. “Oh, Muxue, are you not mad anymore?”
Lin Muxue looked up. “I just shared your story with my friend. She thought it was hilarious and told me to keep sharing whenever you do something like this.”
Zhou Jiajia: “…”
Give me back my gratitude!
