After the Sickly Child Differentiates into A - Chapter 67
Her lower lip was captured, sucked, and nibbled, the slightly sharp canine teeth pressing against the corner of her mouth.
This kiss was like the tide damp and turbulent, carrying an overwhelming sense of oppression.
Deep and intense.
The corner of her mouth was pierced, seeping crimson, as a sticky, agile tongue swept over the wound, licking away the drop of blood.
Lin Li’s long lashes trembled lightly, her chest unable to suppress its heaving. Her Adam’s apple bobbed repeatedly, muffled groans and gasps escaping her lips. Finally, when the corner of her mouth was bitten again, she couldn’t help but push against Wen Jingzhi’s shoulder, her tongue pressing against the other’s as she tried to push her away: “Mmm… Sis…” Her lips were bitten again, and she frowned slightly, attempting to retreat, only to have the back of her head held firmly in place, unable to move.
The woman kissed with abandon, like a noble deity fallen into the mortal world, tainted with desire.
She lifted her eyelids, her cold eyes misted with moisture. Her tongue withdrew, but her lips remained pressed close as she gasped softly and called out in a low voice: “Xiao You.”
The hoarse tone carried an indescribable sense of aggression.
Lin Li suppressed her panting, her left eye shimmering with tears, her cheeks flushed. She said in frustration, “Wen Jingzhi!”
Endless kissing!
Her mouth hurt!
Unfazed by yet another instance of being called by her full name, Wen Jingzhi showed no sign of annoyance. The hand cupping Lin Li’s cheek gently stroked it, while the intertwined fingers loosened, and her palm pressed against the slender, trembling waist. Her tongue darted out, licking along the seam of the girl’s lips before she straightened up and pulled back. Gazing at those glistening lips, she couldn’t hide her delight. A low hum vibrated in her throat as she asked, “Hmm?”
What “hmm”!
“It’s broken!” Lin Li frowned, unable to hold back, and grabbed the hand causing mischief on her face, pulling it down. With her other hand, she pointed to the corner of her mouth, which still throbbed with a faint pain, and said helplessly, “Is Sister a puppy?”
So wicked and so rebellious!
Yes! Rebellious! Sister is truly rebellious!
Wen Jingzhi raised an eyebrow, leaned down, and gently kissed the corner of the bleeding lip, licking away the blood before pulling back. “I’ll be more careful next time.”
Lin Li’s face flushed red. After stewing in frustration for a few seconds, she decided to let it go.
“Are you angry?”
Not really.
She just hadn’t expected Sister to enjoy kissing so much.
She felt momentarily unaccustomed, somewhat surprised and extremely shy.
Her Adam’s apple bobbed as Lin Li whispered, “I’m not angry.”
She could never truly be angry with Sister.
Wen Jingzhi’s heart softened again and again. She lifted the girl out of the blankets, placed her on her lap, and kissed her once more.
Lin Li: …
Fine!
This kiss was no longer like a turbulent tide but more like a mountain stream gentle and soft.
After years of abstinence, once the restraint was broken, it was like a flood unstoppable. The floodgates had opened, and it was hard to hold back.
For Wen Jingzhi, merely kissing was already the result of restraint, suppression piled upon suppression.
She was afraid of frightening this sensitive “kitten” and worried she might truly “break” the little Alpha.
She could only endure and suppress, waiting for the Alpha’s next estrus cycle or for Lin Li to approach her and say the words she longed to hear.
She could wait.
But while waiting, the girl must also belong to her.
After several minutes of lingering kisses, Wen Jingzhi finally released Lin Li. The latter had barely learned to breathe properly during the kiss, and with her body not yet fully recovered, her lung capacity was far inferior to the former’s.
Wen Jingzhi’s breathing was only slightly disordered, but Lin Li clung to her, panting rapidly and urgently, even coughing a few times. The “culprit” couldn’t hold back a muffled laugh and was lightly scratched on the back of her hand by the “kitten.”
Lin Li gave her a resentful look, then lightly patted the arm around her waist, finally catching her breath. “I want to go out.”
“Alright.”
Wen Jingzhi set her down, turned her constantly buzzing phone back on silent, grabbed her coat and put it on, helped Lin Li into a down jacket, wrapped a scarf around her, and led her out the door.
The snow outside showed no signs of stopping, but fortunately, it wasn’t heavy enough to hinder their outing.
A thick layer of snow blanketed the ground, crunching underfoot and reaching halfway up their calves.
Holding hands, Lin Li trudged uphill, her steps unsteady. Snowflakes clung to her long, curled lashes, turning them white and making her pale, nearly translucent face stand out even more.
She turned to look at the tall, elegant woman beside her. Amid the falling snow, she appeared even more sacred and distant.
For a moment, Lin Li was lost in thought.
Is this just for treatment? Would sister go this far?
Constantly, kissing me.
“Shall we go to the mountaintop?” Wen Jingzhi looked upward, concerned that Lin Li might not be able to handle the climb. She paused to rest and noticed Lin Li spacing out again. A smile tugged at her lips as she squeezed the hand in her palm. “What are you thinking about?”
“Nothing.”
I was wondering could it be that sister likes me?
“Let’s go to the mountaintop.” Lin Li squinted and smiled, taking a step forward and tugging Wen Jingzhi’s hand to lead the way. “The view is beautiful.”
Wen Jingzhi’s expression softened. “Alright.”
The snowy mountain wasn’t particularly high, but for Lin Li, who was frail and sickly, reaching the summit was still a challenge. The thick snow made it even more strenuous. After a short while, she began to cough and gasp for breath. Seeing her discomfort, Wen Jingzhi let go of her hand, stepped in front of her, and without hesitation, crouched down.
“Get on.”
Lin Li covered her mouth, coughing a few times before catching her breath. Her eyes reddened as she stared at the not-so-broad back before her. Suppressing her racing heartbeat, she leaned forward, wrapping her arms tightly around the other’s neck.
The person carrying her didn’t have broad shoulders, yet she could shield her from wind and rain.
Wen Jingzhi walked steadily, and Lin Li felt no jostling. As they neared the summit, Wen Jingzhi’s breathing was only slightly labored. Lin Li marveled inwardly, her gaze fixed on the face so close to hers. Unable to resist, she leaned in and gently pressed her lips against it.
If sister might like me.
Could I use the excuse of treatment to keep her by my side forever?
Feeling the soft warmth against her cheek, Wen Jingzhi smiled and took the final step, coming to a stop. She set Lin Li down, turned to face her, and leaned in slightly, tilting her head closer.
Lin Li’s heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively closed her eyes.
“Heh.”
An ambiguous chuckle reached her ears, followed by a warm breath brushing her cheek. Her eyes snapped open, and what met her gaze were snowflake-dusted, dense lashes.
The light snow drifted down, settling on their hair, shoulders, and lashes, brushing past their eyes.
In the faint light, the swirling snowflakes reflected in those light-colored irises, making them appear almost transparent as if they held nothing, yet everything in the world.
And what they clearly reflected was her.
Lin Li’s heart clenched fiercely. She suddenly raised her arms, wrapped them around Wen Jingzhi’s waist, tilted her head up, and offered her lips.
The moment their soft lips met, Wen Jingzhi pulled her into an embrace, cradling the back of her head as she kissed her tenderly.
Her half-lowered gaze rested on the girl’s tightly shut eyes, her tongue gently tracing the seam of her lips.
Perhaps she had already found the answer she was seeking.
Their soft bodies pressed together through the down jacket and coat, two hearts beating close.
Tall and slender, mature yet innocent, they embraced in the snow, as if merging with the snowy landscape.
Their burning lips met, pecking and sucking, the sound of their kisses mingling with the snowy wind atop the desolate mountain peak.
Yet it did not stir passion, but rather a fervent, lingering affection.
Wen Jingzhi’s hand gently caressed the back of the girl’s head as she nibbled softly on her lower lip, murmuring a sigh-like word in her throat: “Xiao You.”
You must love me.
Since adulthood, she had suppressed her darker instincts, never feeling the desire to possess anything or anyone. There was nothing she wanted to hold tightly in her hands.
Yet, after turning thirty, she had found it.
She wanted Lin Li to belong to her, and she was willing to belong to Lin Li in return.
But her repressed darker nature had broken free of its restraints, and even she didn’t know what she might do.
She worried she might scare away this sensitive “kitten.”
She could only proceed slowly and carefully.
Fortunately, Lin Li’s heart was drawing closer to hers.
She sensed the girl’s faint struggle to restrain herself, but it wasn’t enough.
She wanted the other to walk firmly toward her, to willingly put on the “shackles.”
After a tender kiss, Wen Jingzhi released the now-moistened lips and curved her own into a smile. Lin Li blinked, her misty eyes gradually clearing as she realized what she had done. Her face flushed instantly, and she pursed her lips, turning away to look down the mountain in an attempt to hide her embarrassment. “Ahem, the scenery is beautiful, isn’t it?”
Does sister really, even just a little bit, like me?
If it were just about treating her condition, there would be no need to go this far.
Even though she hadn’t experienced it herself, she had read in books that kissing was more intimate than marking.
It existed only between lovers.
So, could she try a little harder?
“Mm.” Wen Jingzhi didn’t expose her. Instead, she pulled the girl into her embrace and also looked downward.
The falling snow obscured the view, but from this height, the scenery was expansive. The villages and fields below were draped in silver, appearing small, soft, and pure in their sight.
A natural landscape painting, the scenery was indeed beautiful.
But no matter how breathtaking the view, it paled in comparison to the one in her arms.
Snowflakes clung to the girl’s hair and scarf, her silver-rimmed glasses adorned with white, almost blending into the snow. Behind the lenses, her long, curled lashes had already turned crystalline, fluttering and accentuating the depth of her dark eyes.
Her pale skin, delicate face, and elegant features.
Everything about her was so exquisite.
“Grandma and I once saw a crane over there,” Lin Li turned in Wen Jingzhi’s arms and pointed not far to the right.
Wen Jingzhi followed the slender finger and smiled faintly. “What did it look like?”
“Pure white, with a black head and a red spot on its forehead.” She laughed, turning to look at Wen Jingzhi. “It looked a lot like you.”
Like me?
Wen Jingzhi raised an eyebrow. “Then, did you like it?”
Lin Li’s smile faltered as she hesitated, studying Wen Jingzhi’s expression. Wen Jingzhi remained composed, letting her look her fill.
Her heart suddenly raced. Lin Li pressed her lips together, leaning back more firmly into the embrace, and smiled with narrowed eyes. “I liked it.”
She liked that beautiful crane, and she also liked sister.
The arm around the girl’s waist tightened abruptly. Wen Jingzhi lowered her gaze to look at her, her eyes deep and unreadable. After a long moment, she bent down and pressed her lips to the girl’s cold hair. “I like it too.”
Lin Li’s heart skipped a beat. She suddenly raised a hand to her chest, her gaze trembling uncontrollably.
What did sister mean by that?
“Let’s go back.” It was too cold on the mountaintop.
Lin Li suppressed her chaotic thoughts and nodded. “Alright.”
The descent wasn’t easy either. Wen Jingzhi simply carried Lin Li on her back, carrying her all the way down the mountain.
As they approached the cabin, Lin Li suddenly spoke up, “Sister, I want to visit the village.”
Wen Jingzhi continued walking without pause. “What for?”
“I want to see Auntie.” Resting on her back, Lin Li’s eyes flickered with emotion. She suddenly leaned in, pressing her cheek against the other’s and nuzzling gently. “I don’t know if she’s moved away yet. I want to thank her.”
Was this acting spoiled?
Wen Jingzhi lowered her gaze, a smile curling at the corners of her lips. She tilted her head and lightly brushed the girl’s lips with her own. “Alright.”
First, she carried Lin Li back to the cabin to brush off the accumulated snow and had the girl drink a cup of hot water to warm up. After waiting about half an hour, the bodyguard arrived with a worker.
Half an hour later, the door was installed, and the bodyguard made two trips to bring the purchased items into the house before escorting the worker back down the mountain.
Wen Jingzhi organized the ingredients in the refrigerator, then picked up the gift box of supplements the bodyguard had hastily purchased. She reached out her hand to the girl sitting at the table, sipping hot water. “Come.”
Lin Li set down her cup, rose with a smile, and walked over to take her hand.
