After the Nerd Marked the Top Omega - Chapter 55
After finishing her phone call, Shen Feihuai came looking for Fang Xu and found her sitting in front of the computer, yet not really looking at it, seemingly lost in thought.
She patted her shoulder and joked, “What are you daydreaming about?”
Fang Xu turned her head, saw her, and said, “I just sent you a message, I need to leave early today.”
“Sure,” Shen Feihuai lowered her head to look at her phone, and then asked, “Is something going on?”
Fang Xu bit her lip and replied, “I’m going to Pei’s to pick someone up.”
“CEO Pei?” Shen Feihuai blinked.
Although she had already had dinner with them and knew they were dating, she still habitually called her “CEO Pei.”
Otherwise, if her family found out, they might kick her out of the house.
“I made her angry,” Fang Xu wasn’t sure if her thinking was correct and wanted to hear someone else’s opinion. “I told her I wanted to buy her a house.”
Shen Feihuai waited for a moment, then looked at her: “And that’s all?”
“…Yes.”
“That’s challenging. Let me analyze it for you.”
Shen Feihuai stroked her chin, pondered for a moment, and said, “You told CEO Pei, right to her face, that you wanted to give her a house…”
Fang Xu looked at her, seriously waiting for the next part.
“Does CEO Pei feel like you’re looking down on her?” Shen Feihuai offered her guess.
Fang Xu: “…”
Sensing the speechless look from the person next to her, Shen Feihuai cleared her throat and had to be honest: “I really can’t guess this one, CEO Pei’s mind is hard to figure out. But CEO Pei definitely isn’t short of houses or anything, you should try giving her something else later to coax her.”
“Okay,” Fang Xu agreed.
Although Shen Feihuai was unreliable, her last sentence was right.
Pei Yunci was not short of money, nor did she lack a place to live. Fang Xu’s intention was mostly to satisfy her own pride.
When it was time to leave work, Fang Xu headed to Pei’s company.
It was evening, and the sky was covered in a gorgeous blanket of sunset, filled with orange and warm yellow hues, exceptionally beautiful.
The company didn’t have street parking, so Fang Xu parked the car on the street. Usually, Pei Yunci drove straight out of the parking lot, so Fang Xu planned to wait for her there.
But before she could take a step, Fang Xu saw Pei Yunci talking to a female Alpha not far away, right outside the company entrance.
The female Alpha also looked young, about the same age as Pei Yunci, dressed formally yet with a hint of casualness, and a slight, charming smile on her lips as she spoke.
The female Alpha: “My father assigned me to this project, and thanks to CEO Pei’s help, it went so smoothly.”
“Vice President Bai is also very outstanding,” Pei Yunci replied with polite formalities. “This project couldn’t have been completed without Vice President Bai’s efforts either.”
“Then I wish us a pleasant future collaboration,” the female Alpha smiled. “It’s not too late now, where is CEO Pei planning to go for dinner?”
They were of similar age and had things in common. Knowing that Pei Yunci wasn’t married, the Alpha also had intentions of developing their acquaintance into something more.
How could Pei Yunci not understand?
Her gaze shifted, looking at the person across the street, and she said with a soft laugh, “I’m having dinner with my girlfriend. Would Vice President Bai like to join?”
“…”
The female Alpha looked over, her expression subtly changing. “I won’t intrude on CEO Pei. As a lonely person, I think it’s better if I eat alone.”
She had heard the rumors that Pei Yunci was dating a girl from an ordinary family and had even sent family members who had opinions on the matter abroad because of her.
Some believed it, some doubted it, but most just enjoyed the gossip as dinner table conversation.
The female Alpha hadn’t expected it to be true, and especially not confirmed by Pei Yunci herself.
Pei Yunci: “Goodbye.”
After seeing her business partner off, she told her driver and assistant to clock out and walked toward the parking spot herself.
Fang Xu pursed her lips and followed behind like a little tail.
One in front, one behind. When Pei Yunci saw the person approaching, she sat in the passenger seat. When they were together, the girl usually drove.
This habitual action slightly cheered up Fang Xu’s mood.
She followed suit and got into the car, looked at Pei Yunci, and asked, “Are we going home now?”
“To the supermarket,” Pei Yunci said. “The food in the fridge is running low.”
Before, the refrigerator in her apartment was handled by a maid who restocked fresh vegetables and fruits every three days. After being with Fang Xu, she surprisingly started remembering these things herself.
“Oh,” Fang Xu leaned over and fastened her seatbelt. “I saw you talking to someone just now.”
Pei Yunci: “Someone from a partner company.”
“I know,” Fang Xu looked at her, her fingers twitching slightly. “I heard you say you were going to have dinner with your girlfriend.”
Pei Yunci: “I thought you might have thought I was going to abandon you.”
If the appearance of just any Alpha could make the girl doubt their relationship, then she might have extended the time she was angry for a bit longer.
“I wouldn’t,” Fang Xu immediately shook her head, but quietly added, “I can tell she wants to pursue you. I don’t like that.”
If that Alpha had made any inappropriate moves, she definitely would have intervened.
Pei Yunci liked that statement, and chuckled lightly: “Say that in front of her next time.”
Fang Xu: “…Is that okay?”
Pei Yunci offered her a chance to be bold: “You can try it. I’ll take responsibility if anything goes wrong.”
Fang Xu: “…Don’t tease me.”
“I’m serious,” Pei Yunci said.
She didn’t know if the other person would be angry, but she certainly would be very happy.
After buying groceries, Fang Xu drove back to her company to pick up her own car, and on the way, she bought a bouquet of flowers to coax Pei Yunci.
But when she returned to her apartment, she found that the person who was supposed to be there was gone.
Panicking for a moment, Fang Xu calmed down, grabbed the flowers and groceries, and walked towards Pei Yunci’s apartment.
The password hadn’t been changed, and when she entered, she saw Pei Yunci sitting on the sofa, seemingly waiting for her.
Fang Xu put the things down and sat next to her: “Why did you suddenly come here?”
“Your house is too small,” Pei Yunci repeated the words Fang Xu had said a couple of days ago. “This place is more comfortable.”
Upon hearing this, Fang Xu knew that the other person was still upset.
“It’s not small,” she held Pei Yunci’s hand. “It’s just right for us to live in, and we can always move later if we want.”
“I said the wrong thing last time,” Fang Xu lightly pecked her lips. “Please stop being angry, okay?”
Even though they had only been fighting for two or three days, she was deeply distressed.
Pei Yunci still remembered her purpose: “What exactly did you say wrong?”
Fang Xu: “You are with me only because of me, not for anything else. I shouldn’t always use my own standards to treat you well.”
She had thought a lot these past few days.
What stood out most was Pei Yunci’s sentence: “Don’t you look down on my feelings a little too much?”
Fang Xu hadn’t looked down on them, but she had indeed underestimated them.
“I like you, so I want to be good to you. But you also like me, and you don’t need these things, and you don’t want me to always be thinking about them.”
Pei Yunci hummed in acknowledgment. “Xiao Xu, haven’t you noticed that we’ve been seeing each other less lately?”
The girl was young, and it was a good thing that she wanted to work hard and achieve success quickly, and Pei Yunci wouldn’t stop her. But if it was just to buy a more expensive house or car, it was completely unnecessary.
Fang Xu tightened her grip on Pei Yunci’s hand, her eyes slightly red: “I’m sorry…”
Pei Yunci’s fingertip touched the corner of her eye, and she chuckled softly: “Don’t act pitiful.”
Who knew that saying this would make the already red eyes even redder, and tears started to fall.
Pei Yunci: “…”
Having not seen her for a while, she forgot that the girl was still a crybaby in front of her.
“I’m not acting pitiful,” Fang Xu’s voice was a little choked up.
“Mm,” Pei Yunci’s fingertips were wet, and she smiled. “Now you’re starting to act spoiled again.”
Fang Xu felt too embarrassed, so she directly kissed Pei Yunci’s lips, not wanting her to say any more.
Having not kissed for two days, Pei Yunci’s lips parted slightly, her warm tongue hooked, and the girl couldn’t help but wrap her arms around her waist.
As the kissing intensified, their breaths grew hot, and Pei Yunci told her to go to the bedroom.
Fang Xu, for some reason, let impulse override reason and directly picked her up in a princess carry.
Pei Yunci smiled, leaned in her arms, and teased, “So eager?”
Fang Xu’s face flushed completely, and she opened her lips, unsure how to answer, so she simply hummed in affirmation, but her arms held Pei Yunci tightly.
In the master bedroom, Pei Yunci first asked the girl to help her take off her earrings and remove her makeup.
Fang Xu did as she was told, and asked, “Should I take off your necklace?”
“Take it off,” Pei Yunci hooked her fingers onto Fang Xu’s hand, and said unhurriedly, “You like kissing me here.”
Even if she kept the necklace on, it would be taken off within half an hour anyway.
Fang Xu: “…”
She immediately turned off the light. The room plunged into darkness, with only the faint light of the small nightlight on the bedside table vaguely outlining the intertwined silhouettes.
Dense, tiny kisses conveyed the girl’s accumulated grievances from this past time.
Pei Yunci stroked her soft hair and asked, “Can we do it with your glasses on today?”
Fang Xu gently lifted her head, not quite understanding: “Not taking them off?”
“Mm,” Pei Yunci’s slender fingers helped her put them back on. “Want to try it this way?”
With the glasses on, the girl’s good-student aura was even stronger, and even the beads of sweat on her nose seemed to be due to nervousness rather than passion.
“…Okay.”
No matter what Pei Yunci wanted, Fang Xu would ultimately satisfy her.
The glasses had metal frames, which were easily cooled. When they occasionally brushed against her hot skin, Pei Yunci’s senses were much clearer than before.
Neck, collarbone, chest, abdomen, and then lower…
The Alpha’s pheromones slowly released, the strong yet gentle scent of citrus enveloping Pei Yunci from head to toe, along with the tentative yet sincere kisses.
The glasses frames were really cold. Pei Yunci’s fingers grabbed the nearby quilt, the fabric bunching up. “Xu Xu, Xu Xu…”
The first time they did it, the girl still remembered not to cross the line or hurt the other person. So, as soon as she called her name, Fang Xu would stop, leaving her hanging.
Having done it more often now, Fang Xu could tell the difference between a tone of discomfort and a tone of pleasure.
So, she didn’t stop.
…
When it was over, Fang Xu’s glasses were completely fogged up. She blinked, wiped them simply, and put them back on.
Pei Yunci was wearing a girl’s simple garment loosely draped over her, leaning lazily on the edge of the bed, and asked, “How did it feel?”
Fang Xu spoke honestly, without much flirtation: “I couldn’t see you clearly.”
Wearing the glasses, but most of the time, her breath would easily cause them to fog up, so it wasn’t very convenient.
Pei Yunci chuckled: “Can you see me clearly when you take off your glasses?”
Her prescription was a bit high; even without the glasses, it was still blurry.
Fang Xu: “Up close, I can see clearly.”
“How close?” Pei Yunci leaned in slightly, looking at her: “Is this close enough?”
They were an inch apart, close enough to kiss.
If she still couldn’t see clearly, it wasn’t a problem of myopia anymore.
Fang Xu: “Yes.”
She wanted to kiss her again.
Pei Yunci could easily tell, but she pulled back the distance again, and said, “I’m going to take a shower.”
Fang Xu pursed her lips and followed her into the bathroom.
Pei Yunci stopped and looked at her: “You want to shower too?”
Fang Xu immediately nodded.
Pei Yunci laughed softly: “Come in.”
