- Chapter 13 - The Cannon Fodder Top in a Rich Family Story (13)
Feeling guilty, Juezhou nestled in Jiang Henian’s arms, not daring to utter a single word.
His phone was a New Year’s gift from Jiang Henian this past Spring Festival. It was encased in a cartoon Ultraman shell with a smooth, black surface, and it was now being held in Jiang Henian’s hand.
Jiang Henian didn’t hit Juezhou.
He simply rested his chin against the crook of Juezhou’s neck and let out an extremely soft sigh: “Gu Juezhou, stop acting up.”
Jiang Henian rarely called Juezhou by his full name; Juezhou felt so intimidated he wanted to shrink into a ball.
The distance was widened slightly by Jiang Henian. Juezhou wanted to continue “clinging,” but the object pressing against him was indeed scorching to an unignorable degree. Juezhou didn’t overthink it; after all, it was perfectly normal for a man to have a reaction after being rubbed against for so long.
He figured someone like Jiang Henian probably didn’t even know how to masturbate.
Juezhou said in a small voice, “Brother Henian, do you want me to help you?”
His tone was flattering.
It was normal for guys to help each other out. After high school graduation, Juezhou had gone to Zhou Chenyu’s house to pick up his graduation photo and happened to catch Zhou Chenyu doing exactly that. Juezhou had even used that line to tease him back then.
Zhou Chenyu was a pure boy at the time; his entire face had turned beet red, and he couldn’t even find a rebuttal.
Jiang Henian remained silent. He gripped Juezhou’s shoulder with his palm, lightly stroking along the rounded curve. Such slight pressure brought a slow and gentle stimulation.
Juezhou gave a soft “Ugh,” his slender white fingers gripping Jiang Henian’s fingertips with very little strength.
Jiang Henian turned his hand over and slid his fingers into the gaps between Juezhou’s.
Palms touched; fingers intertwined.
“Your hands are so cold,” Jiang Henian said. “How long were you secretly playing on your phone?”
…Juezhou was instantly struck dumb.
He stammered, unable to find an answer, and simply hugged Jiang Henian’s waist, saying softly, “I wasn’t.”
Jiang Henian looked down for a while at Juezhou, who didn’t dare open his eyes. He sighed softly and covered Juezhou’s trembling eyelashes with his palm: “You’re disobedient and you love acting spoiled. What exactly do you want?”
Juezhou believed he wasn’t “spoiled” at all.
He argued against Jiang Henian’s words in a tiny voice. He was clearly a “cool guy.”
Jiang Henian tucked the quilt around him, got up, and went to shower.
The sound of water echoed in the bathroom again. Juezhou poked his head out from the quilt and glanced toward the bathroom a few times. Although he really wanted to be held a bit longer, the situation wasn’t quite appropriate.
Jiang Henian was at an age full of vigor and hadn’t even found a partner yet. He had been holding it in for who knows how many years. If Juezhou didn’t know that Jiang Henian would eventually fall for Xie Wenchen, he would have truly wanted to introduce someone to him.
Then again, Juezhou himself was just another single person troubled by the lack of a girlfriend.
However, thinking that someone like Jiang Henian actually had the desires of an ordinary person felt a bit novel to Juezhou. He “tsked” in amazement.
It was likely because Jiang Henian had always appeared composed and capable in front of him; to suddenly show a different side gave Juezhou the feeling that he had “fallen from the altar.”
Shi Du didn’t send any more messages, and Juezhou didn’t bother replying. He opened Xie Wenchen’s chat box and sent a customary, lewd harassment message. While Jiang Henian was still showering, he buried his head in the pillow and went to sleep.
The time difference between various planets was significant. While Capital Star was in the middle of the night, it was just past noon in the Slime Kingdom.
Having just concluded a large business deal, the Slime King was so happy he ate three extra bowls of rice for lunch. Afterward, he rubbed his belly and took a walk in the royal garden to aid digestion.
As he walked, he remembered this was his first time collaborating with the Federation. It would be bad if he accidentally offended some human taboo.
The Slime King quickly picked up his neural link computer and contacted several friendly faction leaders on nearby planets to start a private call.
Those leaders first expressed their congratulations and then informed the Slime King of several human “eccentricities,” such as “not eating Beta-beast excrement” and “being imprisoned for streaking in the streets.” As they chatted, the topic suddenly shifted to Jiang Henian.
In the Interstellar Era, diplomatic relations deeply affected a planet. As the diplomat most valued by the Federation’s President, every move Jiang Henian made was watched by the entire universe. Having reached the center of power at a young age, a single word from Jiang Henian could determine the rise or fall of a weak planet.
“I didn’t expect Mr. Jiang Henian to care so much about his foster brother. I thought a cold-blooded… no, a refined politician like him wouldn’t care much for emotions,” the Slime King remarked. He recounted in detail how Jiang Henian’s attitude suddenly changed simply because he mentioned Juezhou.
“This…” A faction leader who frequently dealt with the Federation paused for a few seconds, surprised by the Slime King’s lack of information. He shared a file to the public screen. The title was: “Research Report on Mr. Gu Juezhou.docx”.
Slime King: ???
Several other leaders also stated they had this file and required their diplomatic staff to memorize it.
The leader of the Great Flying Insect Faction stated that being familiar with the file was very beneficial for staying on Jiang Henian’s good side. The Diplomat was famously incorruptible, refusing all money and treasures, with almost no obvious personal hobbies.
Except for his foster brother, Gu Juezhou.
While pleasing Jiang Henian wouldn’t cause major political shifts—as Mr. Jiang Henian loved his home planet dearly—one could still receive a bit of extra care in smaller matters.
The Crawling Insect Faction leader said with a beaming face that when he visited the Federation as a guest a year ago, he expected to be discriminated against like in previous years. However, Mr. Jiang Henian heard about him and specifically arranged his accommodation, even taking time to accompany him for dinner.
Unfortunately, because the Crawling Insect leader loved eating bugs and sleeping in trees at night, the dinner plan fell through.
“The parts underlined in red must be remembered,” the Great Flying Insect leader added. “The clan leader of the Sharkmen once crossed a red-line taboo. Upon learning that Mr. Gu Juezhou liked beautiful girls with nice voices, he took it upon himself to introduce his sister to Mr. Gu.”
Slime King: “This… I remember many humans want to date the Sharkmen, but the Sharkmen always despise humans for being ugly.”
The average appearance of the Sharkmen was peerless; any one of them could debut in the Federation and surpass top idols in popularity within minutes.
The Great Flying Insect leader said, “As you know, Mr. Gu Juezhou has superior looks. Except for Planet Polyglossia, where having many eyes is considered beautiful, he is a recognized beauty throughout the universe. Yet, the Diplomat’s expression turned cold on the spot, and he rejected the Sharkman leader’s invitation to lunch.”
The Slime King was puzzled. He imagined that if some silly girl could take an interest in his own non-squishy, non-green brother, he would be more than happy. Why refuse?
But thinking of Mr. Gu Juezhou’s excellence, the Slime King was instantly enlightened.
He silently downloaded the “Research Report on Mr. Gu Juezhou.docx” and shared it with the subjects of his diplomatic department.
Within a day, the Slime Kingdom and its friendly factions—as well as anyone planning to travel to the Federation soon—received this file.
If you encounter a human gentleman named Gu Juezhou, you must treat him with the utmost respect.
The most important thing was to report your faction’s name after making him happy.
