- After the Fake Young Master Betrayed the Australian Farmer
- Chapter 24 - Misunderstanding – "I am your new roommate."
As Han Yan ate, he noticed that his monkey-like roommate was surprisingly quiet today, which left him greatly amazed.
Adams noticed his confusion and explained that Jack had headed out earlier.
That was fine. Han Yan hoped Jack wouldn’t come back at all tonight so he could finally get a decent night’s sleep for once.
“Fang Jianan, I don’t have an extra blanket here. Do you mind roughing it a bit?”
“Sure! I’m fine even sleeping on the floor!”
Fang Jianan swallowed his last bite of food and got up to clear the dishes.
“Just leave them in the sink. You have an injury on your arm; don’t touch the water.”
Fang Jianan waved his hand dismissively.
“It’s fine; it’s my arm that is hurt, not my hand. Besides, you treated me to a meal and gave me a place to stay. I won’t feel at ease if I don’t do some work.”
Since he insisted, Han Yan stopped trying to persuade him.
After resting for a while, Han Yan stood up and tugged on Adams’ ear.
“Come over here and help me flip the sofa.”
The sofa in the living room could be flipped down to serve as a bed, which was more than spacious enough for two people.
As Han Yan moved the pile of clothes off the sofa, a transparent object was revealed.
He looked closer, and the veins in his temples began to throb. His hands clenched into fists at his sides, his knuckles cracking.
Damn it, he didn’t even throw it away after using it! That damn Bogan Jack!
Han Yan’s expression instantly turned as foul as if he had swallowed a fly.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and quickly grabbed a tissue to wrap the object before tossing it out. Then, he rushed into the bathroom to scrub his hands frantically.
He must have been cursed for eight lifetimes to end up with a roommate like this!
It felt as though he could still feel that slimy texture through the tissue. He rubbed his fingertips until they were red, and only when a slight stinging pain flared up did he slowly ease his strength.
He swore that if he saw Jack again, he would absolutely pin him to the ground and beat him until his own mother wouldn’t recognize him!
Thinking of the dried stains on the sofa, his stomach churned.
Whoever wanted to sit on that sofa could have it; he was never going near it again!
Suddenly, a powerful force pulled him into an embrace. His loose t-shirt was tugged down, exposing half of his sleek shoulder, and a sharp pain made him gasp.
“Adams, what kind of madness is this now? Let go!”
Through the mirror, Han Yan saw the person behind him. The man had his head lowered, biting his shoulder. His messy bangs fell over his eyes, making his expression unreadable.
Rough fingertips moved upward from his abdomen, causing Han Yan’s breath to hitch.
“Get lost!”
Han Yan gripped Adams’ wrist tightly, trying to pry the hand away from his waist with his other hand, but he did not realize that this action would completely infuriate the other man.
Adams firmly pinned both of Han Yan’s wrists and freed one of his own hands.
A muffled groan escaped Han Yan’s throat.
“You are freaking crazy! Fang Jianan is still outside!”
Adams turned a deaf ear, pinching Han Yan’s chin and kissing him hard.
Han Yan was forced to open his mouth, allowing the other to invade. Saliva trailed uncontrollably from the corner of his lips.
His brain began to lack oxygen, his muscles tensed, and his breathing grew rapid, only to be cut off in the next moment.
“Not allowed.”
Adams patted Han Yan’s butt, making Han Yan’s body tremble.
He gripped Han Yan’s waist and looked up to meet Han Yan’s gaze in the mirror. Those eyes, usually bottomless, were now clouded with a layer of mist, the corners flushed red.
“Adams, do not make me hate you.”
Adams’ eyes darkened. He leaned down, turned Han Yan’s face toward him, and blocked his mouth.
“Then hate me.”
Adams pressed down on Han Yan’s stomach. Han Yan’s waist instantly arched high into the air, and a low whimper leaked through his lips.
“Han Yan, choose me.”
“I will satisfy you more than he does, babe.”
Han Yan did not know when he had passed out. When he woke up again, he felt as if his whole body had been run over by a car; it was numb to the point where it did not feel like his own.
Feeling someone starting to stir again, he struggled to move away. But as soon as he shifted, he was pulled back by the person behind him, his head bumping into a chest that felt like a stone wall.
“Stop moving. If you move anymore, you will fall off.”
The hoarse voice vibrated against his ear, and his earlobe was taken into a mouth and nibbled on gently.
Han Yan swung his elbow into the man’s stomach and said raspily, “Go away, I want to take a shower.”
Hearing this, Adams got up and carried Han Yan into the bathroom like a child.
He supported Han Yan’s waist, letting the man’s full weight lean against him, and gently began to clean him up.
The discomfort made Han Yan frown. He pushed Adams away, swaying slightly, and only managed to stand steady by leaning against the wall.
“Get out.”
Adams, of course, refused. He stepped forward, wrapped his arm around Han Yan’s waist, and kissed his temple.
“You cannot even stand steadily right now. Just let me help you wash.”
Han Yan raised his hand and slapped Adams across the cheek. It did not actually have much force behind it, as his limbs were incredibly weak.
Adams’ head turned slightly from the slap, but his expression remained unchanged. He caught Han Yan’s hand and kissed it.
“Shower first. Leaving that stuff in for too long is not good for your body.”
“After we are done, I will stand here and let you hit me as much as you want.”
How had Han Yan never noticed before that this guy was so shameless?
His strength left him, and he leaned against the man, letting him serve him while he showered.
Tch, this is exactly what Adams should be doing anyway! —
Han Yan sat at the dining table, feeling refreshed as he boredly scrolled through his phone.
Seeing the message Fang Jianan had sent him last night, he realized the guy had left right after Han Yan went into the bathroom.
As for the reason?
He glanced at the silhouette busy in the kitchen and gave a cold snort.
It happened to be a day with no classes, and someone had even called in for him to skip his daytime shift at the café. He guessed Adams had used his fingerprint to unlock his phone while he was unconscious.
He looked at the contact that had been moved out of his blocklist and pinned to the top of his WeChat, narrowing his eyes.
Quite capable, aren’t you? Adams walked over carrying two bowls of light noodles and placed one in front of Han Yan.
Han Yan picked up his chopsticks without a word. Adams watched his expression cautiously, and seeing that Han Yan wouldn’t even give him a glance, he pursed his lips.
After finishing, Han Yan set his chopsticks down, leaned back, and stared thoughtfully at Adams, who was buried in his own bowl.
Sensing the gaze, Adams quickly wolfed down the rest of his food, swallowed, and looked up.
“I am finished.”
Han Yan looked at the soup stains on the corner of the man’s mouth and those emerald-green eyes filled with apprehension, like a child who had done something wrong. The flare of anger he had been nursing mostly extinguished.
Tch, annoying. He tossed a tissue over and tilted his chin.
“Wipe your mouth. There is soup on it.”
Adams gave a soft “oh” and wiped his mouth.
Han Yan tapped his index finger on the table and asked, “Adams, what exactly was the madness you were on last night?”
“I saw the used one.”
“And?”
“You did it with your roommate, so why can’t you do it with me?”
Adams’ eyes were full of grievance and accusation.
“Your roommate looks average, has an average body, and even his size is average. Where am I inferior to him?”
Han Yan froze, reflexively asking, “How do you know his size?”
“That thing was so small; it was clearly a medium or even a small. We use extra-large every time!”
Han Yan fell silent. He ran a hand back through his hair and suddenly laughed out of pure frustration.
“Adams, is my taste that bad in your eyes?”
Him and Jack?
What kind of pig-brain logic was Adams using?
No matter how desperate he was, he wouldn’t be that thirsty.
Besides, with a “fine jade” like Adams having been there first, he would only be more picky, okay?
The thought of Adams thinking he used that thing with Jack made Han Yan want to gag.
Adams looked stunned. Once he realized the truth, his eyes brightened for a split second, followed immediately by intense guilt.
Because of that misunderstanding, he had been quite excessive last night.
“I am sorry. I will make sure to understand the situation clearly next time. Last night was my fault.”
“Why don’t you hit me to let out some steam?”
Next time? You are already thinking about a next time? And let him hit him to vent? Who even asks for a beating these days? Does Adams have some kind of weird fetish? Han Yan rubbed his temples and raised a tired hand.
“Fine. I toyed with your feelings before, and you forced yourself on me all night yesterday. We are even.”
“Do not pester me anymore, and do not ask me about schoolwork. My learning is not very good; I cannot help you.”
Han Yan stood up to leave. Seeing this, Adams wanted to say something more but was glared back by a sharp look.
“Do not bother me.”
Han Yan dragged his sore body back to his room and collapsed onto the bed. The messy sheets had already been changed, and a faint, clean fragrance lingered in the air.
He set an alarm for four-thirty in the afternoon and closed his eyes. Not long after, there was a knock on the door.
He rolled over irritably, not wanting to deal with it.
After two knocks, the door was gently pushed open, and footsteps stopped by the bed.
Just as Han Yan was about to open his eyes and kick the person out, a large hand suddenly lifted his own.
Fingertips rubbed the back of his hand, and the touch felt cool.
Warm, dry lips pressed against the back of his hand, causing Han Yan’s eyelashes to quiver slightly.
The person tucked him in, leaned down to kiss his forehead, and then left the room, closing the door softly.
Once the footsteps faded, Han Yan slowly opened his eyes.
He looked at the back of his hand; the blister from the burn had been covered in a layer of white ointment. His brow furrowed involuntarily, and his heart skipped a heavy beat.
Han Yan was not woken up by the alarm, but by the noisy footsteps outside mixed with the piercing sound of a chair scraping across the floor.
He stared at the ceiling with bleary eyes and checked his phone. It was four-twenty in the afternoon.
He had planned to doze for a bit longer, but a sudden clattering sound outside gave him a headache.
Thinking Jack had returned, he rolled off the bed and pulled open the door, intending to give that idiot a piece of his mind. Instead, he came face-to-face with a completely strange man.
“Hello, excuse me.”
Han Yan stepped aside instinctively. The man and another stranger worked together to carry a King-sized bed into the room next door.
The bed was still covered in plastic wrap; it was brand new.
Why was the bed being changed all of a sudden?
“You are awake?”
A familiar voice came from above, nearly giving Han Yan a jolt.
He turned to see Adams’ handsome face leaning in close and said impatiently, “Why are you still here?”
“I live here too.”
“What?”
“I am your new roommate.”
