After the Demon Lord Lost His Memory, He Became the Immortal Venerable's Dao Companion - Chapter 17
“Zhuzhu has finished undressing”
Yin Pin did not care about much else; she took Qi Yan’s hand and joined the group of young men and girls dancing around the bonfire.
“The moon rises, bright and clear, illuminating the Lingqiu hills. We wave our tails in the breeze, dancing and singing as we roam. The world of mortals is but a dream of thousands of autumns. Tonight, we raise our torches and do not stop until we are drunk.”
“Three steps to the left, a nod to the right, ever-changing forms as the wind desires.” They were all at their most beautiful age, each person radiating a brilliant vitality. With smiles on their faces, they danced in circles around the bonfire, hand in hand.
Qi Yan was infected by the atmosphere. He immediately forgot his earlier reservations and began to dance along.
“The moon rises, bright and clear, illuminating the Lingqiu hills. We wave our tails in the breeze, dancing and singing as we roam. The world of mortals is but a dream of thousands of autumns. Tonight, we raise our torches and do not stop until we are drunk.”
Shen Yuzong sat in his seat, his eyes reflecting the red flames and Qi Yan’s radiant smile. The goose-yellow skirt swayed like a field of canola flowers, rippling with every step he took.
“Three steps to the left, a nod to the right, ever-changing forms as the wind desires.”
After a round of dancing, Qi Yan picked up his skirts and trotted over, throwing himself into Shen Yuzong’s arms.
Shen Yuzong cradled Qi Yan’s face, feeling a wave of warmth. Qi Yan still had a sweet smile on his face, and the dimples on his cheeks looked like sugar cubes, inviting one to lick and nibble at them.
“Husband,” Qi Yan called out sweetly.
Shen Yuzong paused. Watching Qi Yan’s misty eyes, he tightened his grip, lifted Qi Yan by the hips, and settled him onto his lap.
“Yes.”
“I like you,” Qi Yan said, tilting his face up. Like a cat, he planted soft, small kisses all over Shen Yuzong’s face.
Shen Yuzong’s throat moved, his gaze dark and heavy.
“I like Zhuzhu, too.”
Qi Yan searched the pocket at his side and pulled out a yellow rose, handing it to Shen Yuzong.
“This is for you,” Qi Yan said, feeling a bit shy.
Shen Yuzong took the flower and examined it carefully before picking it up and tucking it behind Qi Yan’s ear.
“Do you not like it?” Qi Yan asked, looking a bit aggrieved. Being drunk, his reasoning was impaired, so he assumed Shen Yuzong’s actions meant a rejection.
“I like it. But I like it even more when Zhuzhu wears it.”
Nearby, Yin Ji ran over to grab Yin Pin’s hand, unable to help but grumble, “Big sister, you scared me to death, do you know that? You were having the time of your life chatting, while I was being sliced to pieces by Shen Yuzong’s gaze hundreds of times over.”
“With your cowardice, you still say you want to go out and see the world? I fear you would be frightened out of your wits just by speaking a few words to a stranger.”
“Big sister! How can you say that about me? I am going to tell Miss Qin about you!”
Yin Pin hurriedly grabbed Yin Ji’s hand, coaxing him, “A-Ji, big sister is drunk, do not be so stingy.”
Shen Yuzong withdrew his gaze and scooped Qi Yan up, passing through the crowd of people still dancing around the bonfire. The night was already very deep. Qi Yan wrapped his arms tightly around Shen Yuzong’s neck. As he clung to him, he felt quite dizzy.
He did not let go until they reached the room, where Shen Yuzong placed Qi Yan on the bed. The green curtains on either side were pulled back by Shen Yuzong with clips. Qi Yan lay on the bed, opening his moist eyes to look up at Shen Yuzong.
Shen Yuzong swallowed hard and left a kiss on Qi Yan’s face. Qi Yan giggled and dodged, laughing as he tried to push Shen Yuzong away. “That tickles.”
Shen Yuzong leaned over him, his gaze focused.
“Then Zhuzhu, come and kiss me.”
“Alright,” Qi Yan answered, oblivious to anything else. He reached up to loop his arms around Shen Yuzong’s neck, pressing his soft lips against Shen Yuzong’s face.
“Zhuzhu, do you know where you are supposed to kiss when kissing?”
“I know.”
Qi Yan leaned down to kiss Shen Yuzong’s lips, starting from the corner and moving upward, pressing his lips gently against him. Shen Yuzong let out a hoarse laugh. He knelt on either side of Qi Yan, pinning his waist down, and thrust his tongue into his mouth, making Qi Yan shake his head with soft, muffled protests.
Shen Yuzong pulled back. Qi Yan stuck out the tip of his bright red tongue, looking at Shen Yuzong and smiling. Shen Yuzong pinned Qi Yan’s arms down and slowly licked his dimples.
“Do not lick there, it tickles!” Qi Yan laughed and tried to dodge to the side.
“Does Zhuzhu like your husband?”
Qi Yan nodded and kissed Shen Yuzong on the face. “Zhuzhu likes Husband!”
“Then would you undo your clothes and let Husband see, please?” Shen Yuzong’s tone was serious; if one ignored the content, it sounded as though he were explaining some profound truth.
Qi Yan nodded, then shook his head. “Why?”
Shen Yuzong leaned into Qi Yan’s ear, whispering in a pathetic tone, “Husband has contracted a strange illness. Only by seeing Zhuzhu’s body will I feel better.”
Qi Yan frowned and hugged Shen Yuzong. “Zhuzhu promises to let Husband see.”
Shen Yuzong wore a perfectly measured smile and helped Qi Yan sit up. When drunk, Qi Yan seemed like an entirely different person, obediently following almost every instruction Shen Yuzong gave him. He undid his waist chain and set it on the bedside, then undid the ties of his robe, causing the goose-yellow outer garment to slide off instantly.
Then, layer after layer of gauze clothing fell away, like petals blown off by the wind. Qi Yan lay on the bed, unable to help but pull the quilt up to cover half of his body.
He whispered, “Zhuzhu has finished undressing.”
Shen Yuzong shook his head, leaning close to Qi Yan, and reached out to remove the last piece of fabric covering him. “Only then does it count.”
Feeling Shen Yuzong’s ardent gaze sweeping across every part of his body, Qi Yan blinked his thick eyelashes and squeezed his legs together, asking innocently, “Has Husband’s illness been cured?”
Shen Yuzong reached out and pulled Qi Yan into his arms. “Just a little bit more.”
In the hazy moonlight, Qi Yan’s skin was so white it seemed to glow. His hair was undone and scattered across the bed, and the yellow rose had fallen to the floor.
“The flower…”
Qi Yan tried to turn his body to find it, but he was caught by the hand and rolled into a scorching embrace.
