- After Returning from a Faked Death, My Crazed, Rebellious Disciple Forced His Love Upon Me
- Chapter 18 - Since You Made Something So Unpleasant for This Sovereign, Should You Not Be Punished?
In that moment of internal daze, Ji Chen saw that Guitong had already walked up to him. He came to a stop on the step just above where Ji Chen stood.
Setting aside the height of the steps, the sheer difference in their stature forced Ji Chen to look up at the man. His eyes were the same blood red color as always, terrifying and filled with a ghostly charm. An ordinary mortal would not possess such a pupillary hue, yet Guitong had been born with them.
Ji Chen did not know what he intended to do. He only watched as Guitong stopped in front of him and raised a hand, using the pad of his finger to gently stroke the bloody mark he had just struck. As his finger passed over it, the wound healed as if it had never existed.
Ji Chen glanced at that well-defined, bony hand. There seemed to be traces of blood on the palm, yet there was no injury.
“You want him to live, correct?” Guitong’s voice cut through the air from above. It was obvious who he was referring to.
Ji Chen nodded in affirmation.
“Do you know how to cook?”
Ji Chen was caught off guard by the sudden question. “Eh?”
“This Sovereign is hungry.”
Ji Chen was somewhat speechless. Why was everyone asking him for food today?
“If I make a meal for you, will you let him go?”
“That depends on your performance.”
“What kind of performance?”
“It has to be delicious.”
Ji Chen did not like the sound of that. His cooking had never been anything less than delicious. Besides, these people who practiced the Way and had long since achieved Inedia likely had never seen true delicacies. Satisfying their palates would be all too simple.
“I can cook, but I need ingredients and a stove.” Ji Chen paused for a second. “And a pot.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Guitong simply waved his long sleeve. Behind him, accompanied by a flash of spiritual light, everything he had asked for appeared. However, the ingredients consisted only of lotus seeds, Blood Replenishing Grass, and some miscellaneous grains.
Did Guitong mean for him to make Bious Blood Replenishing Porridge?
Xue Wuxi had mentioned this to him before. Fine, it seemed Guitong had indeed guessed that he was his master. He wanted to use this method to verify his suspicion because he had tasted it before, made by Ji Chen’s own hands.
But Ji Chen did not panic. Since this was just a test, it meant Guitong was not entirely sure of his guess. As long as he made a version of the porridge with a different flavor, it would dispel the suspicion. While matching a taste exactly might be difficult, making it different was a task he could easily master.
As Ji Chen thought of his strategy, he set the pot on the stove. Before long, a bowl of Bious Blood Replenishing Porridge was ready. Normally, this porridge should be red because the Blood Replenishing Grass was red. However, the one Ji Chen made this time was green, resembling the color of mung bean porridge. He had indeed added mung beans and millet.
Although the color and taste were different from before, it was a carefully refined version that was definitely better than the original. He held the bowl out to Guitong with both hands, a smile on his face. “Want a taste?”
Guitong’s gaze swept over the surface of the porridge, noncommittal toward the green dish. He wordlessly took the bowl from Ji Chen’s hands. He did not use a spoon; instead, he brought the rim directly to his lips and took a large gulp. Then, he drained it in one go.
Ji Chen knew the taste would not be a problem. But just as a flash of joy rose in his heart, he watched Guitong toss the bowl aside. As the clatter of breaking porcelain echoed through the empty stone chamber, Ji Chen was grabbed by the neck and pinned against the stove!
His back slammed heavily against the hard stove, and Ji Chen felt as if his waist were about to break. Before he could struggle, Guitong’s tall frame pressed down on him, holding him firmly so he could not rise. The large hand gripping his neck did not use much force, but it did not make things any easier for him.
Guitong leaned down between Ji Chen’s parted legs, one hand on his neck and the other on his waist. Without hesitation, he tore open the belt of Ji Chen’s robes.
“Since you made something so unpleasant for this Sovereign to drink, should you not receive some punishment?”
Unpleasant?!
Ji Chen felt those words were the greatest insult to his previous career. He even ignored Guitong’s movements, his mind filled only with those two infuriating words. A chef who had studied culinary arts diligently since his teens and later opened a restaurant only to hear nothing but praise, yet now, because of a bowl of porridge, he was given the label of unpleasant?
Ji Chen could not accept it. He stared back at Guitong with righteous indignation, using his remaining breath to roar hysterically, “You must have a problem with your damn sense of taste!”
Just as his roar left his lips, the other person delivered an unexpected kiss. It blocked all his anger and any further words.
Ji Chen’s emotions came to a screeching halt in that instant. He had thought Guitong would hit him, strangle him, or do anything to harm him. He never expected the man to take the initiative to kiss him. The sweet freshness of the mung beans and lotus seeds he had just swallowed was passed back into his own mouth through the man’s kiss.
This was not the first time Ji Chen had kissed Guitong. To heal him previously, Ji Chen had taken the initiative to kiss him. However, that time, Ji Chen had felt nothing; it was as casual and normal as performing artificial respiration. Moreover, the other person had been unconscious.
But this time was different. Although he still had no improper thoughts, Guitong’s kiss was an active invasion. It was a frantic biting mixed with clumsy exploration, slowly sweeping over all the vulnerabilities he had never shown to anyone.
During the passionate kiss, Guitong’s hand had already stripped away all the clothing from Ji Chen’s lower body. Startled by the cool sensation on his legs, Ji Chen finally realized what Guitong was about to do!
He was horrified because, at this very moment, there was a third person watching!
Yuan Yi was still kneeling in his original spot. He had thought Ji Chen was going to be strangled to death by the Sovereign on that stove and was hesitating whether to intervene. Instead, he saw the two of them suddenly kiss passionately. Not only that, but they were about to engage in something unsuitable for viewing. He hurried to lower his head, pretending not to see anything.
However, the sounds continued to drift into his ears. Heavy breathing echoed incessantly, and within those breaths were Ji Chen’s murmurs that sounded both painful and excited. He wanted to get up and leave, but without the Sovereign’s command, he did not dare move. He could only remain kneeling until the two were finished.
It lasted quite a long time.
Ji Chen did not know how long he had been tormented by Guitong; his consciousness had remained somewhat blurred. It was not until Guitong left and a long time had passed that he finally calmed his racing heart. He did not know why, but even though he clearly did not like men or Guitong, his body had still responded.
In the end, he could only blame it on the disappointing body of the original owner. A natural born submissive, it was practically begging for it.
