- Chapter 1 - She Doesn't Like Them Too Pushy
Everyone uses sex toys, yet everyone acts like they’re too taboo to exist in polite society.
Even now, in the year 2127, nothing has changed.
The afternoon sun poured through the massive floor-to-ceiling windows of the grand estate, illuminating a woman sitting comfortably on the sofa, cradling a steaming cup of tea.
“Board Chairman Gu, President Yan, I am truly sorry,” the woman said. “Lele’s teachers are coming over for a home visit. I’m afraid I’ll have to ask you two to step upstairs to avoid them.”
Her words were polite enough, but her face held not a shred of actual apology. Looking at the light-screen display, her eyes flickered with a faint, subtle trace of contempt.
The living room was vast, with a large, U-shaped leather sofa wrapped around a central coffee table. A holographic display hovered above the table, visible from every angle, broadcasting news coverage of a newly listed company’s bell-ringing ceremony from earlier that morning.
The camera zoomed in on the company’s founder and chairman. By sheer coincidence, the face on the screen matched the face sitting right across from her on the sofa.
Her fox-like eyes were striking and alluring, and her formal silk shirt did little to conceal her mature, breathtaking elegance. She didn’t look like the chairman of a newly listed corporate giant she looked like a top-tier superstar straight out of the entertainment industry.
She leaned lazily back into the couch, her tailored blouse sinking smoothly into the genuine leather as if she were in her own home.
“Are you asking us to step upstairs as a possibility,” she asked calmly, “or a definite requirement?”
“You jest, Chairman Gu,” Mrs. He said with a faint laugh, setting her teacup down.
The fine porcelain clinked softly against the coffee table, sending ripples across the surface of the tea.
“Lele is entering Bamboo High School this year. You attended Bamboo High yourself, so you know as well as I do that they audit a student’s family background before admission. Wealth comes second…the parents’ moral character is what matters most.”
She raised her gaze, looking past the light-screen to meet those unbothered, fox-like eyes, then down at the hands crossed loosely over the chairman’s lap.
Gu Lingyi’s fingertips tapped lightly against the back of her hand. Her knuckles were long and elegant, her skin as flawless and smooth as white mutton-fat jade.
I heard a lesbian’s hands are used for…
Repulsed, Mrs. He quickly averted her eyes.
If her husband hadn’t insisted, she would never have opened her doors to the chairman of some sex toy corporation…let alone a lesbian. It was bad luck.
“And your point is?”
Chairman Gu seemed sleepy, her eyes fluttering lightly shut.
“Mrs. He, three hours ago, you told me Director He was reviewing the annual financial reports with his assistant. You said he had a mild fever, so his pace might be slow, and asked my colleague and me to wait. Now, your son’s teachers are coming for a home visit, and you want us to hide upstairs.”
Gu Lingyi opened her eyes. “How about this: my colleague and I will take our leave for today and come back another time. Please tell Director He we can reschedule.”
She stood up. Her soft, light-brown wavy hair caught the light, gleaming with an almost unbelievable silk-like luster.
Taking the suit jacket a servant dutifully handed her, she draped it carelessly over her shoulders. Her colleague fell into step beside her, and the two walked toward the front doors without looking back.
“Chairman Gu! President Yan! Please, wait a moment!”
Mrs. He’s frantic footsteps sounded behind them. The front door, which the servant had just pulled open, was slammed shut again. Mrs. He rushed in front of them, panting for breath, her expensive shawl slipping off her shoulders and trailing along the floor.
The servant scrambled to pick it up, but Mrs. He paid no mind. “It’s almost dinner time anyway,” she gasped. “Why don’t you two stay and dine with us?”
She flipped her hair back, then paused, as if feeling that wasn’t quite enough. Fluttering her eyelashes, she took a few small, swaying steps closer to Gu Lingyi.
“Chairman Gu…” she purred, softening her voice into a delicate whine.
Her domestic harmony depended entirely on Gu Lingyi. No matter what, she couldn’t let them leave today.
She had heard that lesbians loved married women…especially charming, graceful wives. Setting aside her pride, she deliberately put on a flirtatious act to entice her.
Sure enough, the chairman nodded, just as expected. Then, with complete indifference, Gu Lingyi asked: “Where is the restroom? Please point the way, Mrs. He. I need to wash my eyes out.”
Inside the restroom, the rush of running water drowned out the news bulletin playing from the mirror’s light-screen.
Gu Lingyi wondered if Mrs. He had done it on purpose. From the main entrance to the bathroom, every single light-screen within sight was broadcasting news about Chiyin Group’s bell-ringing ceremony.
As the company’s founder and chairman, and its CEO and co-founder respectively, Gu Lingyi and Yan Ke had just attended the listing ceremony that morning.
Normally, they would have spent the afternoon at corporate headquarters meeting with major clients to discuss future partnerships. But right after lunch, a customer service call was routed straight to Gu Lingyi’s personal phone.
Beyond standard adult products, Chiyin Group also offered custom product services. Different styles of intimate devices could be custom-made to a client’s exact physical measurements…offering high privacy at a steep price.
The company had specialized staff to oversee these custom requests, conducting measurements at partner hospitals through fully standardized protocols.
The Mrs. He who made the call was no ordinary client. Her husband, Director He, was currently Chiyin Group’s largest supplier of medical-grade silicone.
Much like Chiyin Group’s monopoly in the adult novelties industry, this medical silicone manufacturer was unmatched in both supply volume and material quality. There were simply no alternatives.
Yet Mrs. He had refused to go to a hospital, claiming it was dirty, and refused to let standard technicians come to her home. Gu Lingyi and Yan Ke had no choice but to come personally. After hooking up the equipment and setting the parameters, they were left waiting for over three hours.
To make matters worse, they were now being treated like some shameful secret, forced to hide away.
Before the Bamboo High teachers arrived, Mrs. He had allowed them to wander the estate. Gu Lingyi hadn’t been shy about it…she took Yan Ke all around the mansion, looking at everything as if she owned the place, before finally leaning against the balcony railing outside.
Mrs. He remained seated in the living room, holding a fresh cup of tea. Every so often, she shot glances out toward the balcony, her eyes filled with unhidden disgust.
“Ah-Yi, what is her problem?” Yan Ke grumbled. “She looks down on us, yet she lowered her voice to flirt with you just now. She’s completely out of her mind.”
“Word on the street is that she and Director He have had endless fights over the years,” Gu Lingyi replied coolly. “He plans to divorce her as soon as their son goes abroad for university, and he’s already moving his assets.”
“That’s news to me,” Yan Ke said. “Their son enters Bamboo High this year, so there are only three years left. Is she trying to fix their marriage through their sex life? No wonder she was desperate to keep you here…she can’t wait another day.”
“Did you activate your protective suit?” Gu Lingyi asked, ignoring the teasing. Her tone turned sharp and serious.
The sudden question caught Yan Ke off guard. She blinked, instinctively pulling back her sleeve.
Around her wrist, a ring of silver-white light shimmered beneath the bright August sun…the indicator that a nano-scale protective suit was active.
Because of the unique nature of their custom services, Chiyin provided every specialist with expensive, embedded medical nano-suits. Once activated, an invisible nano-film instantly covered the user’s skin, offering complete protection against accidental or intentional contact with infectious diseases.
The sunlight on the terrace was brilliant. Gu Lingyi rested her hands casually on the glass railing. The soft breeze ruffled her light-brown waves. Squinting her fox-like eyes in the bright light, she radiated a lazy, captivating charm that outshone even the blooming red roses nearby.
Every flower would wilt in comparison.
In the distance, a sight-seeing golf cart drove up the driveway. Yan Ke’s sharp eyes instantly picked out a familiar face.
“The principal of Bamboo High is here too…that old man Li who used to make you write self-criticisms all the time!”
Before the words fully landed, the balcony door swung open. Mrs. He ambled out with a forced, swaying walk, putting on that sickeningly high-pitched voice again. “Chairman Gu, President Yan, I am so sorry. I’ll personally cook dinner later to make it up to you. Please, this way.”
Gu Lingyi said nothing, her gaze fixed entirely on the approaching cart.
In the end, the chairman and CEO of the world’s largest sex toy conglomerate were shepherded upstairs.
Mrs. He even closed the door to the second-floor reception room, explicitly warning them not to come down. To ensure these important guests wouldn’t wander off, she had almost staged a fall right onto Gu Lingyi.
Gu Lingyi had stepped aside effortlessly.
It was true she liked women, but that didn’t mean she liked every woman.
Besides… she didn’t like them too pushy.
“Board Member Jiang, Principal Li, Director Guan…”
Mrs. He certainly lived up to her title as a wealthy socialite. Her background research was impeccable; she greeted every single guest down the line without a single mistake in rank or title.
“I am He Yile’s mother. Come, Yile, say hello to your teachers.”
“Oh? On the balcony earlier? Ah, those were just two cleaning ladies taking care of the terrace! They were just catching a breeze for a moment when you happened to see them~”
The second-floor reception room sat right next to the staircase. With the door unlatched, every word spoken downstairs echoed clearly above.
“You’re going down there? Don’t, sister!” Yan Ke blocked the doorway, lowering her voice in panic. “Bamboo High doesn’t mess around! Ever since the Jiang family took over, their background checks have gotten insanely strict! Top-tier grades are just the baseline, and family assets have to exceed a hundred million. But the ultimate deal-breaker is the parent character review!”
Yan Ke was practically sweating. “Don’t you remember how stubborn Old Man Li is?! Not to mention that rigid Jiang family! If you go down there and cost her son his spot at Bamboo High, how are we supposed to do business with them?!”
While Yan Ke stood frozen in a panic, Gu Lingyi’s expression grew dark and serious. She gently pushed Yan Ke aside.
“You walked the first floor with me earlier,” Gu Lingyi said quietly. “Did you notice anything off?”
Yan Ke frowned. “What? If I had to pick something weird, it’d be that Director He’s tea sets and tableware have their own dedicated sink and sterilization cabinet. Plus, there’s only one servant in the entire mansion. That’s bizarrely sparse for a place this big.”
“It’s more than that,” Gu Lingyi said. “Every sharp corner on the first floor is wrapped in soft silicone. The knives in the open kitchen are completely sealed away. Someone in this house is terrified of getting hurt or bleeding.”
“And that single servant,” Gu Lingyi continued, “was wiping down door handles, tabletops, and the sofa non-stop the entire time. The smell of disinfectant is suffocating. I saw the brand of disinfectant they use in the restroom. Guess what? It’s a brand-new patented product from your family’s research institute.”
Gu Lingyi met her eyes. “Combine that with Mrs. He saying her husband has a ‘fever’…”
Yan Ke felt a sudden wave of goosebumps burst across her skin. “That disinfectant… it’s specially formulated for home use by AIDS patients! Director He has AIDS?! No wonder you asked if my protective suit was on!”
The request for a home visit had come from Mrs. He. But given her utter disdain for adult products and lesbians, she would never have demanded Gu Lingyi’s personal presence.
So why would Director He…an AIDS patient…deliberately pick the very day Chiyin Group went public to demand a personal visit from its chairman and CEO, while dismissing almost all the servants? What was he planning?
“Bamboo High’s home visits are unannounced, right?” Gu Lingyi asked calmly.
“Yes!” Yan Ke said quickly. “They only notify parents an hour before arriving! Mrs. He almost certainly took that call…Director He probably has no idea the teachers are here right now!”
Gu Lingyi checked her nano-suit interface, a breathtaking, radiant smile spreading across her face. “He reaps what he sows.”
“There are four innocent teachers downstairs,” Yan Ke said, rapidly analyzing the situation. “We’ll each take two and guide them away from the building. The nano-suit protection can extend through physical skin contact.”
She paused, looking nervous. “Uh… I’m terrified of Jiang Yanqing. She’s even more old-fashioned than Old Man Li. I’m scared she’ll complain to my mom that I’m rude, so I’m leaving her to you.”
Gu Lingyi paused briefly before taking a step out of the room. “Fine.”
“Also… stop calling me Ah-Yi.”
Ah-Yi sounded too much like “Auntie.” It didn’t suit her.
Yan Ke: Why aren’t you letting me call you by the nickname I’ve used since we were kids?! [Question Mark]
