After Mistaking My Stepsister’s First Love - Chapter 48
Such a gaze made Ye Wenjin freeze the moment she saw it, stirring an inexplicable feeling in her heart.
Jian Mo’s eyes seemed to conceal so much that Ye Wenjin couldn’t help but want to see more clearly.
But Jian Mo seemed to notice her stare, lowering her lashes to veil the emotions in her eyes.
Ye Wenjin felt her heart skip a beat, an inexplicable intuition driving her forward. Almost as if bewitched, she blurted out, “Sister, have we… met somewhere before?”
Jian Mo stiffened slightly, but luckily, she had already averted her gaze, preventing Ye Wenjin from noticing the increasingly complicated look in her eyes.
She didn’t answer the question, quickly regaining her composure before raising a hand to gently caress Ye Wenjin’s cheek, her eyes luring. “Xiaojin, want to take a bath together?”
Ye Wenjin was instantly ensnared by those words, her face flushing crimson as her mind boiled over, completely erasing any memory of what she had just asked.
Mostly because, when Jian Mo posed the question, Ye Wenjin suddenly remembered that she needed to coax her. Though her face burned, she nodded without hesitation.
Jian Mo arched a brow slightly, smiling as she led her into the room by the hand.
With every step they took, Ye Wenjin’s face grew hotter, yet she didn’t pull away instead, she followed Jian Mo closely, step by step.
Once inside the room with the door closed, Jian Mo gently released her hand, fixing her with a steady gaze before murmuring, “Xiaojin, help me take off my clothes.”
Ye Wenjin’s heart thudded heavily, and it took her a couple of seconds to react. Dazedly, she reached out and began undressing her.
The dress was light, falling to the floor without much sound, but to Ye Wenjin, the soft rustle rang as loud as thunder in her ears.
And as the fabric slipped away, Jian Mo’s near-perfect body was unveiled before her. Even though she had seen it many times before, the allure remained undiminished.
Ye Wenjin stared blankly, swallowing hard.
“Sister…”
The words slipped out unbidden, her voice sticky with unrestrained affection.
Yet Ye Wenjin remained oblivious to the change in herself, her mind wholly consumed by the woman before her, her mouth parched with thirst.
Jian Mo observed her reaction with amusement, chuckling softly before undressing her in turn and leading her to the bathroom.
Ye Wenjin offered no resistance, docilely allowing herself to be pulled along, her gaze never leaving Jian Mo, her eyes tracing every inch of her body with unconscious intensity.
Such a scorching stare was impossible for Jian Mo to miss so intense that it felt as if Ye Wenjin had already kissed every part of her.
Wherever Ye Wenjin’s gaze landed, Jian Mo felt the flames lick at her skin, making her sigh in response.
Ye Wenjin’s learning ability was truly remarkable. Even if she didn’t act much like an Alpha, some traits were innate.
She possessed the natural aggressiveness of an Alpha.
But she seemed unaware of it, remaining entirely innocent.
And that was precisely what Jian Mo loved most about her.
Ye Wenjin couldn’t sense her own aggression, but when her sincere, fervent gaze fell upon her, it excited Jian Mo beyond measure.
The two stepped into the bathroom, and someone, it was unclear who reached out to turn on the shower. Water cascaded from above, and steam quickly filled the small space, wrapping it in a hazy, intimate atmosphere.
The mist obscured their vision slightly, yet it was precisely this obscurity that made Ye Wenjin’s heart burn even hotter.
The sound of rushing water filled her ears, and before her eyes was Jian Mo, wrapped in the mist, appearing and disappearing like a tantalizing illusion.
Unable to resist, Ye Wenjin moved closer and kissed those lips, now flushed even redder from the steam.
In mere moments, the mist became infused with the scents of rosemary and winter plum, transforming into the perfect aphrodisiac.
The kiss deepened, its flavor shifting.
But Ye Wenjin still remembered her mission to coax Jian Mo. Reluctantly, she pulled away from those crimson lips and trailed kisses downward.
The standing position made movement awkward, so without a second thought, Ye Wenjin lifted Jian Mo and placed her on the bathroom counter.
Jian Mo’s pupils contracted, her arms instinctively wrapping around Ye Wenjin’s neck.
Suddenly, a soft, amused voice whispered in her ear.
“Don’t worry, sister. I’m strong, I won’t let you fall.”
Jian Mo had already witnessed that strength, but it was only now that she realized: Ye Wenjin was a dancer. How else could she execute movements so flawlessly without power and muscle?
Unlike Jian Mo’s untrained body, Ye Wenjin’s muscles weren’t exaggerated but beautifully defined, brimming with strength.
Her scattered thoughts were abruptly shattered by an overwhelming sensation, as if fireworks had exploded in her mind.
Dazed for a moment, when she regained focus, her gaze locked onto Ye Wenjin’s movements.
Her slender fingers tangled in Ye Wenjin’s hair whether to push her away or pull her closer, she couldn’t say.
Encouraged by Jian Mo’s intense reaction, Ye Wenjin redoubled her efforts, translating her promise to coax into meticulous action.
She alternated between soothing caresses and teasing provocations, soon hearing Jian Mo’s breath grow ragged.
The sound was like music to her ears, spurring Ye Wenjin on even more.
Then, in an instant, the pheromones in the room thickened abruptly. Sensing the shift, Ye Wenjin quickly pulled the dazed Jian Mo against her, turning her back to face her. Her teeth sank into the nape of Jian Mo’s neck, flooding her with a surge of pheromones.
Having marked her several times before, Ye Wenjin’s movements were now practiced, filling Jian Mo’s glands completely.
Under this dual stimulation, Jian Mo’s body trembled uncontrollably.
Feeling the shudders, Ye Wenjin released the tender gland, soothing it with gentle licks.
Only when Jian Mo had steadied did Ye Wenjin turn her around to face her, gazing at her with fiery intensity.
Jian Mo’s eyes were damp, her breathing uneven, her gaze shimmering like rippling water, a hint of spring in their depths.
Ye Wenjin leaned down again, pressing tender kisses to her lips.
“Sister, is this way of coaxing you, acceptable?”
Her voice was husky, spoken so close that Jian Mo felt her ears tingle, sending another shiver through her.
“It’s very good, Xiaojin. You’ve improved so much.”
Ye Wenjin chuckled lowly. “That’s because you taught me well.”
And so, wrapped in the sound of rushing water, the two held each other tightly, savoring the fleeting tranquility.
However, the night was still long, and the overflowing pheromones served as the most potent aphrodisiac for both of them. Just a single glance was enough to immerse them once more in the intoxicating haze.
By the time they finally stopped, it was already deep into the night.
Ye Wenjin pulled Jian Mo into her arms, and the two of them fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.
The next day was a rare day off, so Jian Mo didn’t go to the office.
When she woke up, Ye Wenjin noticed that Jian Mo had returned to her usual demeanor, looking quite cheerful.
She couldn’t help but marvel at how easy Jian Mo was to please, though she was also genuinely happy to see her in good spirits again.
But as soon as she recalled the events of the previous night, Ye Wenjin suddenly hesitated, unsure how to bring it up with Jian Mo.
Yet her hesitation didn’t go unnoticed. Jian Mo’s sharp intuition picked up on it immediately, and with a quick thought, she guessed what might be on her mind.
“Xiaojin, you seem like you have something to say to me?”
Ye Wenjin froze, surprised that she had been so easily read. But she hadn’t intended to hide it, she was just struggling with how to phrase it.
“I… do have something I want to talk to you about. It’s just, um…”
Jian Mo watched her with amusement, patiently waiting for her to continue.
After stammering for a while, Ye Wenjin took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and finally blurted out, “Sister, I want to borrow some money from you.”
Just saying the words aloud made Ye Wenjin burn with embarrassment.
But she was self-aware enough to know that, in her current state, she had no way of repaying the money to Ye Shuyao. So, borrowing was her only option though deciding whom to ask was another dilemma.
She had considered her roommates, but after much deliberation, she still felt it wasn’t appropriate.
Zhou Wuhua was out of the question from their usual interactions, she could tell their financial situations were somewhat similar.
That left Rong Yunshu and Chu Yunsheng, but they were still students. There was no way they could produce such a large sum on short notice.
After turning it over in her mind for a long time, Ye Wenjin realized she had no choice but to trouble her sister.
Besides, she shouldn’t keep this from Jian Mo. She had a feeling Jian Mo wouldn’t appreciate being kept in the dark, so she decided to ask for her help.
She just had no idea how to broach the subject.
And even now that she had managed to say it, Ye Wenjin’s heart was still uneasy.
Money was a sensitive topic for anyone.
She was afraid, afraid of seeing a strange look in Jian Mo’s eyes.
But before she could dwell on it further, Jian Mo replied without hesitation, “Sure. How much do you need?”
Ye Wenjin was stunned again. “Sister, aren’t you worried I won’t be able to pay you back?”
Jian Mo took a leisurely sip of tea, as if she had just heard something amusing. “Xiaojin, have you forgotten we’re married? So this money isn’t a loan, it’s already yours.”
Ye Wenjin blinked in shock before shaking her head urgently. “No, no, I can’t possibly, ”
Jian Mo’s expression remained unchanged. “Or do you not acknowledge our marriage?”
Ye Wenjin grew even more flustered. “Of course I do!”
She knew that once they had registered their marriage, they were legally spouses.
But she had assumed Jian Mo must have signed a prenuptial agreement. Even if she hadn’t, all those assets belonged to Jian Mo, Ye Wenjin had never considered any of it hers.
After all, Butler Wu had long taken care of all her daily expenses. It was only later that Ye Wenjin realized she hardly had any use for money, the balance in her card remained untouched, not a single cent spent.
But the amount she needed to borrow now was substantial, and Ye Wenjin couldn’t bring herself to accept such a generous gift with a clear conscience.
Jian Mo glanced at her, realizing that Ye Wenjin wouldn’t change her mindset anytime soon, so she didn’t press further. Instead, she asked, “Then why don’t you tell me why you need this money, Xiaojin?”
Ye Wenjin let out a sigh of relief and explained the situation to Jian Mo in detail.
“So, you’re saying you want to use this money to sever the mother-daughter relationship between you and your mom?”
Ye Wenjin lowered her head and gave a muffled “Mm” in response. “Sister, am I being unfilial? After all, she is my mother, but I want to cut ties with her.”
Seeing her expression, Jian Mo suddenly smiled. “How could that be? I think Xiaojin is doing the right thing. Not all mothers treat their children well. The fact that you recognize this and have made such a decisive choice is already very brave.”
“You reap what you sow. I don’t see any problem with Xiaojin’s decision.”
If anything, Jian Mo thought she wasn’t being harsh enough. Xiaojin was too kind-hearted. If it were her.
A cold glint flashed briefly in Jian Mo’s eyes.
Ye Wenjin didn’t notice, only feeling deeply moved by how understanding her sister was.
“How about this, Xiaojin? If you trust me, leave this matter to me. You’ll be busy with Teacher Mei’s affairs soon anyway.”
She paused before adding, “Of course, if you’re not comfortable with it,”
Ye Wenjin quickly interjected, “No! Of course I trust you, sister. I just don’t want to trouble you too much, especially since you’re usually so busy.”
Jian Mo replied softly, “It’s just a small matter. It won’t take much effort.”
Ye Wenjin hesitated, thinking carefully for a moment before finally nodding. “Then I’ll trouble you with it, sister.”
Jian Mo smiled faintly. “Of course, it’s no trouble at all.”
She lowered her gaze and took a sip of tea, her eyes growing unfathomably deep.
