- Chapter 34.2 - In the Abandoned Factory, Begging Her to Play, Begging Her to Break Her
Meanwhile, Song Mei’s mind had grown increasingly unstable, slipping in and out of lucidity. Yan Qingruo, uneasy leaving her mother alone, arranged for a private jet back to Atlantis with Yunxi at her side.
“I want to spend a few more days with my mother,” Yan Qingruo said softly.
Whenever Song Mei saw Jin Yunxi during her clear moments, her reactions were always intense. It left Jin Yunxi with a gnawing sense of dread.
Late spring in Atlans was mild, pleasantly cool. Yet the weather did little to settle Jin Yunxi’s restless mood as she tried to focus on work.
She hadn’t seen Yan Qingruo in nearly a week.
Unable to resist, she texted her—asking when she would come home, suggesting she could even bring her mother to stay with them.
On Jin Yunxi’s palm rested a small, round white pill wrapped in plastic, the label written in Country A’s language: Potent Memory Recovery Drug. Must be taken within ten days.
Just three days left. Only three days until Yan Qingruo’s memories returned.
But before Jin Yunxi could deliver the medicine, a shattering piece of news struck her—
Yan Qingruo had been kidnapped.
The kidnappers demanded Jin Yunxi come alone. The time and place were clearly set.
When Jin Yunxi finally arrived at the desolate, abandoned factory, Jin Yunhan seethed from the shadows. Part of her wanted Jin Yunxi to come alone—so her plan could succeed. But another part burned with fury that Jin Yunxi really had come, risking everything for Yan Qingruo.
Was that woman truly worth so much?
Furious, she barked into the radio: “She refuses the drug? Then force it down her throat! I don’t care whether it’s with medicine or by other means.”
Wasn’t Jin Yunxi always the most fastidious, the most proud? If she discovered her most cherished wife had been defiled, would she still be able to bear touching her again?
No one knew Jin Yunxi better than she did.
Once, a stray cat had followed Jin Yunxi around. Over time, she even fed it, sometimes patting its head.
But after the day she saw someone else hold that cat in her arms, Jin Yunxi never touched it again.
Jin Yunxi loathed it when something that belonged to her—especially something that liked her—was touched by anyone else.
Once touched, it could be discarded. Like throwing away a filthy rag, without hesitation, without mercy.
…
Jin Yunxi’s face was taut with fear. Her hands trembled as she unlocked her phone. The tiny dot marking Yan Qingruo’s location flickered weakly, unstable, vanishing and reappearing, impossible to pin down.
She quietly pressed the switch. It would take half an hour to pinpoint the exact location—the only thing she could confirm was that it was somewhere near the abandoned factory.
Earlier, she had laid down a meticulous net of traps, yet her opponent seemed to know her methods all too well. They had sent over half a torn garment belonging to Yan Qingruo, warning her not to bring anyone else along.
But when she finally arrived, the last person she expected to see was Jin Yunhan.
Jin Yunhan had kidnapped Yan Qingruo. Out of jealousy, she had gone mad, unable to accept that her elder sister would risk her life for Yan Qingruo.
“Jin Yunhan, I never thought it would be you.” Jin Yunxi clenched her teeth. “Where is Yan Qingruo?”
Jin Yunhan acted as if she hadn’t heard. Her gaze dropped to Jin Yunxi’s legs, and she sighed in relief. “Jie, looks like your legs still haven’t healed, huh?”
“I’m asking you about Yan Qingruo!” Jin Yunxi snapped.
Jin Yunhan chuckled, her tone light, almost careless: “Jie, hand Jin Corporation over to me, and I’ll tell you where she is.”
She expected her sister to refuse.
“Fine, I’ll give it to you. Now can you tell me?” Jin Yunxi blurted.
A twisted smile spread across Jin Yunhan’s lips—uglier than crying. She had gone to every length, even hiring top-tier assassins to secretly inject a corrosive serum into her sister, crippling her glands so that she would never become a fully functional Alpha, stripped of part of her sexual identity.
And yet, none of it had stopped her from falling for another woman.
Bitter jealousy seared her chest, but she pressed on, greedy for more. “Half an hour, Jie. Give me half an hour and I’ll tell you.”
Every second spent at her sister’s side was precious—even if it meant being scolded, bullied, or hurt. From the marrow of her bones to the depths of her soul, she savored that pain like a starving creature licking the blood at the corner of its lips.
Her eyes devoured Jin Yunxi’s face. She crouched before her, slowly tracing her hand over her sister’s knee. “Sometimes, I think it’s fine that your legs are damaged. This way, I can be your crutch. Even if you were confined to a wheelchair—even if you were paralyzed—it would be perfect. Then I could take care of you for the rest of my life.”
“Jin Yunhan, you’re sick!” Jin Yunxi had already sensed something was wrong. “That year I collapsed during a basketball game, the doctor said it was a rare bone disorder. But there’s no such genetic history in our family. Tell me—was that your doing?”
Jin Yunhan’s eyes widened in shock that her sister had even made the connection. Then she laughed. “Jie, is that really how you see me?”
“Yes. I crippled you—but not your legs. It was your glands.”
She admitted it without hesitation.
Jin Yunxi ground her molars. She had never imagined that the little beast she’d raised at her side for so many years was in fact a ravenous wolf, ungrateful and cannibalistic.
“I’ve never treated you poorly. Jin Corporation already includes shares for you and Li Chunhua. What more could you possibly want?”
A creeping suspicion rose in her chest, but before she could react, Jin Yunhan lunged and seized her from behind, wrenching her hands back. “Jie, don’t you understand yet? I love you. I’ve always loved you.”
Even though her half-damaged glands couldn’t pick up pheromones the way they should, she still sensed the unmistakable reaction in Jin Yunhan’s body—the kind of arousal that should only ever occur toward an Omega. But now, it was directed at her…
Nausea roiled in her gut. She was an Alpha, but she had always hated this grotesque aspect of her biology. She never understood why an Alpha’s arousal had to manifest in such a way, as if a phantom organ appeared—an aberration derived from the feminine body’s own natural parts.
And now her sister had let it show, right in front of her—proving she harbored those desires toward her Alpha sister. The thought alone made Jin Yunxi want to tear her apart. Rage boiled in her veins, and she spun to strike her.
“Jie, I didn’t want this either. But you must have realized it already—through every unbearable heat, I’ve only ever thought of you. Hah… and since you hate Alpha glands so much, shouldn’t you be grateful to me? Grateful that I spared you from having to bear that trait?”
“Don’t call me sister. You disgust me.” Jin Yunxi’s fists trembled as she tightened them.
“I wish I wasn’t your sister too. Because if I wasn’t, would I even be allowed near you? I made sure you couldn’t become a complete Alpha just so I could keep you. You’re mine, my beloved sister.”
“Get away from me…” Jin Yunxi’s skin crawled with goosebumps. Jin Yunhan ripped off her suppressant patch and blew a taunting breath over her glands.
In that moment, Jin Yunxi seized her chance—flipping her wrist, she caught her captor in a submission lock. “Aren’t you afraid I’ll kill you?”
“I’m not afraid. I’m not afraid of death—what’s left to fear? If I die by your hand, Sis, won’t that mean you’ll never forget me?”
“You used to play with me, scold me, torment me when we were young. Please… keep doing it. Play with me again. I’ll obey. I’ll never betray you again. I swear it!”
Madness. Jin Yunxi once thought she was the unstable one—but Jin Yunhan was even more deranged.
The flick of a lighter echoed in the air. A cigarette flared to life in Jin Yunhan’s hand. Between her fingers ran a nearly invisible wire.
“Sis, just a centimeter closer with this flame, and that beloved wife of yours—whom you refuse to divorce—will be blown to pieces. Not even ashes will remain.”
“You’ve lost your mind! Put it out!”
“Sis, do you remember when you burned off part of my brow with a sparkler when we were kids?”
“I don’t.” Jin Yunxi’s eyes flicked to her watch—three minutes left before the signal could lock onto the location. Panic simmered in her chest as she stalled for time, waiting for the device to calibrate, all while calculating how to snuff out that flame.
Then she heard it—the faint hiss of hair scorching.
Jin Yunhan pressed the glowing tip to the edge of her brow, laughing. “Here. Right here. Have you forgotten?”
She deepened the scar, savoring the sting as she pulled away.
The acrid smell of burning hair stung Jin Yunxi’s nose, dragging forth faint fragments of memory—had it really happened?
“Later you said sorry. Every time I saw this scar, I felt joy—because it carried that tiny flicker of guilt in your eyes. That was enough for me.”
“How I wish you’d burn me somewhere else. That way, you’d carry guilt for me forever. But Sis, I’ve been so obedient—why do you still want to leave me? Why risk everything just to save that so-called wife of yours? Even with that other sister of mine, Yan Qingmei, you were never this reckless.”

At the top floor of a hidden chamber on the edge of the abandoned factory, Yan Qingruo’s hands were bound as she stared icily at the group of female Alphas approaching her.
“What do you want?”
“To serve you, of course.” The leader wore a mask, her face concealed, her laugh wild.
“I’m the leading host of Yalan Media. My wife is Jin Yunxi. Aren’t you afraid she’ll come after you?”
Another Alpha sneered, pulling out a golden capsule. She pried Yan Qingruo’s mouth open and shoved it in. “If you hate anyone, hate Secretary Jin. She has made so many enemies—every one of them wants her dead.”
“Stay back! Don’t come near me!” Yan Qingruo tried to resist, but powder still seeped down her throat.
She steadied her breath, feigning composure to stall them. Keenly, she noticed a signal jammer in the room. When she pretended to bolt, a rough hand slammed her down. Seizing the chance, she twisted her body, cracked the jammer underfoot, and kicked it beneath the bed.
“What was that noise?”
“Probably nothing.”
“Don’t be so hasty. I know she’s beautiful, but stop staring like fools.”
When Yan Qingruo showed no signs of heat, the leader quietly activated a vaporizer. A white, aphrodisiac-laced mist began to spread through the air. She slipped on an invisible respirator and winked at the others.
They understood immediately, grinning wickedly. This was a highly potent arousal agent—no woman, however virtuous, could endure it.
Soon, they thought, Yan Qingruo would be the one crying and begging at their feet.
