- Chapter 27 - If You Dare Lie to Me, I’ll Screw You to Death!
“Is that so?” Jin Yunxi’s expression was calm, her face unreadable, carrying no trace of belief. “Come here.”
In an instant, she shot out her hand and clamped down hard on Shu Xiyue’s wrist, squeezing with such force it felt as though she might crush bone.
Inside her chest lurked a feral beast, untamed and violent. Jin Yunxi had never been someone to trifle with.
But because Shu Xiyue was Yan Qingruo’s friend, Jin Yunxi only punished her in her imagination, instead of acting on it.
After a moment’s thought, Jin Yunxi said lightly, almost indifferent:
“If you want to tell her, then tell her. Perfect timing—I was planning to bring it up with Yan Qingruo anyway. You’ll just save me the trouble.”
The cool touch of the prayer beads circling her left wrist pressed against her skin, reminding her to rein in her hostility. She sat there like a restrained, regal lion, all latent power and danger.
Her ambiguous, half-serious tone left Shu Xiyue unsettled, uncertain of her footing.
Good grief.
She had no choice but to move to plan B.
Picking up the golden pocket watch, Shu Xiyue let the chain sway gently. The ticking second hand marked the silence—tick, tick, tick. Beyond her role as an orthopedic doctor, few knew of her other identity: hypnotist.
“Jin Yunxi, what is it you fear the most?” Her voice softened, coaxing.
The Alpha’s taut nerves slackened; her eyelids grew heavy, her awareness drifting into a blur.
“Oh, you’re afraid of amputation. Afraid of betrayal. Afraid of sudden accidents… and of having your true heart discarded.”
Jin Yunxi’s grip tightened on the wheelchair handles.
The cold flash of a scalpel hovered over her leg in the harsh light of the operating table.
Her beloved mother—pale, frail, and gone too soon.
Her doting grandmother—suddenly turning her back on her.
And… Yan Qingruo. Would she, too, someday…?
“Jin Yunxi…” Shu Xiyue’s voice was low and irresistible. “What is your greatest secret?”
Her eyelashes trembled. A memory surfaced—pale hands cupping her cheeks, her mother’s voice murmuring weakly: ‘Ah Yun, Mama doesn’t blame you. I can’t stay with you much longer. One day, find someone who will treat you with complete honesty—no secrets, no lies.’
The scene shifted. A different face appeared, bright eyes and dazzling smile—her contracted wife.
“Jin Yunxi, I hate your deceit. It was all just an act, and you really believed it?” The woman laughed. “Didn’t you ask me to play the sister? How was my performance?”
“You already fell for me, didn’t you? But too bad—I can’t stand you.”
Jin Yunxi jolted awake. No—something was wrong!
Her pupils constricted sharply, exploding with the feral glare of a tiger. Rage, betrayal, volcanic fury—all of it turned upon the one pulling the strings.
Shu Xiyue startled, fumbling with the watch, but too late.
Jin Yunxi had already broken free from the haze. She snatched up the dining knife from the table, twisted Shu Xiyue’s wrist with practiced ease, and slammed her hand down against the tabletop.
Her long hair fell loose in the struggle, sweat-slick strands plastering to her cold face.
This lunatic was too strong! Shu Xiyue’s wrists were trapped in Jin Yunxi’s iron grip, utterly immovable.
The knife gleamed as Jin Yunxi toyed with it, its sharp point gliding between Shu Xiyue’s pale fingers. Each pause made Shu Xiyue’s breath catch in her throat.
“Shu Xiyue, who sent you? What’s your aim?”
Jin Yunxi loathed nothing more than manipulation. She had nearly fallen into Shu Xiyue’s trap just moments ago.
Shu Xiyue’s lips pressed tight, refusing to answer, while one hand subtly shifted, trying something unseen.
But Jin Yunxi noticed instantly. She slammed Shu Xiyue’s head down against the dining table, forcing her cheek flat against the wood.
“Ah!” Shu Xiyue cried out in pain.
“You wanted to know my secret?” Jin Yunxi leaned close, her voice cutting into her ear, deliberate, word by word. “Then hear it now. My favorite thing is killing. And what I hate most is being schemed against.
Anyone who dares lay a hand on Yan Qingruo… deserves to die.”
She flicked the knife up, waving it inches from Shu Xiyue’s face.
Shu Xiyue’s pulse hammered in her throat.
“Spread your hand. Fingers apart.”
Shu Xiyue clenched her teeth, refusing.
The Alpha’s pressure increased; her head was forced lower, nearly embedded into the table.
“Spread. Your. Fingers.”
Her lips quivered with stubborn defiance. Was this the gap between Alpha and Omega? Even crippled, Jin Yunxi’s strength was overwhelming.
Grinding her teeth, Shu Xiyue obeyed—five trembling fingers splayed out on the table.
“Still won’t talk?”
Without hesitation, Jin Yunxi brought the blade down, its arc a silver flash.
“I’ll talk!”
A sharp crack echoed. Something split at the fingertip. Shu Xiyue’s eyes widened in shock, veins straining.
“Jin Yunxi! If you kill me now, once Yan Qingruo regains her memory, she’ll never forgive you!”
“So what?”
“Madwoman!”
Shu Xiyue wrestled free. Her fingers remained intact—only part of a nail had been sheared away.
Wiping cold sweat from her brow, she said hoarsely: “Yes, Qingruo and I loved each other in college. I never got over her. This time, I only wanted to see if there was still a chance… I hypnotized you out of jealousy, hoping to uncover your secrets and use them against you.”
Jin Yunxi’s eyes narrowed in disbelief.
Grinding her teeth, Shu Xiyue added that she and Yan Qingruo had once been intimate.
Jin Yunxi suddenly smirked, her knife tapping at the tips of Shu Xiyue’s manicured nails. “Growing them this long? If I remember right, you’re an Omega, aren’t you? And you claim you wanted to be with Yan Qingruo?”
“You wouldn’t understand. I’ve stayed chaste for her.”
“Oh?” Jin Yunxi sneered. “More believable would be if you said you wanted her to take you.”
She clicked her tongue. “Too bad. She shares my bed every night—and she quite likes being taken by me.”
Shu Xiyue’s expression froze.
Jin Yunxi twisted the blade further: “And with how clumsy she is at kissing, you expect me to believe you two were ever together?”
Shu Xiyue’s jaw tightened in fury. “You think everyone’s like you Alphas—ruled by lust? Qingruo and I are soulmates! Besides, I’m an internationally renowned doctor. I’m more than worthy of her.”
Jin Yunxi yanked her head up and shoved her toward the mirror, patting her face as their reflections locked eyes. “I’m prettier than you. Higher in status than you. Who do you think she’ll choose?”
“Arrogant!” Shu Xiyue spat. “She’d choose a cripple like you? Sure, you’re powerful, but look at those useless legs. Who would pick you?”
Jin Yunxi tugged back on her hair, baring her neck. “Yet this cripple can crush you like an ant. Simple as that.”
“Let me go!” Shu Xiyue’s pride was battered to dust. “Jin Yunxi, you maniac—violent, depraved hypocrite!”
The image the world saw in the news was nothing but a mask.
For the first time, she felt a pang of fear—not for herself, but for Yan Qingruo.
Jin Yunxi withdrew the knife. “Thanks for the compliment. But take my advice—if you value your life, don’t even think about laying a hand on Yan Qingruo.” She shoved Shu Xiyue away.
Shu Xiyue straightened her clothes, lips curved though her eyes betrayed something darker—an unsettling satisfaction. “Good. Very good.”
Jin Yunxi regarded her like she was insane.
When they stepped outside, Yan Qingruo looked between them nervously. Shu Xiyue pressed the pocket watch into her hand, her expression heavy with concern.
“Qingruo, though I wish you every happiness, Jin Yunxi is a madwoman. You must be careful. Extraordinarily careful.”
The warmth and weight of the pocket watch left Yan Qingruo momentarily dazed.
“Her legs will be difficult to treat, and as for her as a person… Qingruo, if you ever need anything, you can always come to me.”
The implication was clear—Jin Yunxi wasn’t someone worth being with. Qingruo, you’ve suffered. If you regret it and want someone else, I’ll always be here as your backup.
Still scheming. Jin Yunxi shot her a cold, cutting glance.
Shu Xiyue felt a chill run down her neck.
What difference was there between this and trying to steal Jin Yunxi’s partner right in front of her?
Jin Yunxi’s knuckles turned white, her gaze dark and glacial, like a bottomless well.

Later, Yan Qingruo asked what they had talked about inside.
Jin Yunxi’s lips moved lightly. “I beat her up. She was annoying.” She omitted the part about hypnosis.
Yan Qingruo: ???
Jin Yunxi raised her eyelids slightly. “Don’t believe me?”
Seeing the doubt in Yan Qingruo’s eyes, she simply laid it out: “Yan Qingruo, have you really forgotten what happened in university? She said you liked her back then, and she liked you too.”
Yan Qingruo frowned. “She’s lying.” She rubbed her aching forehead. “Even if I did like her in college, I don’t anymore.”
Either way, Jin Yunxi couldn’t afford to let her dig up the past.
“…Because I was jealous, that’s why I hit her.” Yan Qingruo suddenly regretted ever letting Jin Yunxi meet Shu Xiyue.
Jin Yunxi pressed her lips together. “No.”
She lowered her head slightly. The sensation of having her old shadows dragged into the light again was something she couldn’t put into words to Yan Qingruo.
The autopilot drove steadily forward, but Jin Yunxi noticed a car following behind them at just the right distance—not too far, not too close.
She deliberately circled a longer route. “Jin Fan, lose them.”
When they got home, she asked Yan Qingruo for her phone.
Obediently, Yan Qingruo held it out. “There’s nothing between me and Shu Xiyue.”
But Jin Yunxi didn’t check it.
Instead, Yan Qingruo began coaxing her, thinking she must be upset.
Oddly enough, Jin Yunxi’s jealousy didn’t repulse her in the slightest.
Yet today, Jin Yunxi hadn’t even mentioned Shu Xiyue once.
“I’m not upset,” Jin Yunxi emphasized.
Instead, she installed a tracking app on Yan Qingruo’s phone.
Yan Qingruo blinked. “…You’re monitoring me?”
Jin Yunxi had intended to explain, but after thinking it over, what was the point in denying it? She nodded. “Mm.”
She did it on purpose—to provoke her anger.
“Yes. I’m monitoring you. I’ve been Secretary-General for years, then a CEO for years too. I’m used to control. My need for it is… strong.”
She expected to see disappointment flicker in those eyes.
Instead, Yan Qingruo looped her arms around her and smiled brightly, her voice almost smug: “Fine. It just means Ah Yun cares about me too much to let go, that you want me in your thoughts every single moment.”
Jin Yunxi: …
The woman gently stroked the weariness shadowing her brows, admitting she shouldn’t have chosen the Spring Restaurant.
The atmosphere there had been suffocating—hadn’t it weighed heavily on Ah Yun’s heart?
And so, thick-skinned as she was, Yan Qingruo rose on tiptoe and kissed her. To Jin Yunxi’s surprise, she didn’t resist.
This time, she even responded more eagerly than usual.
Her kissing skills… had improved rapidly.
When it ended, the Alpha’s eyes were hazy, her nape glands throbbing. Days of intimate closeness with Yan Qingruo had her almost convinced she didn’t need the wheelchair anymore—that she was returning to her former self.
Yan Qingruo leaned her forehead against hers and whispered softly: “Ah Yun, I’m sorry. I’ve forgotten so many things. But ever since I woke up, just having you by my side has felt so good. From the moment I opened my eyes, I liked you.”
She confessed with a rare seriousness.
Jin Yunxi hummed lightly, savoring her words.
Then, out of nowhere, she said, “Yan Qingruo, if I ever find out you’ve lied to me, I’ll punish you. Severely.”
But punish her how?
Like a game of truth or dare—she’d decide in advance.
【Couple’s Punishment Box of Mischief】
It was a bit like Halloween’s “trick or treat.”
If you lie to me, then—
1. Kill you.
2. Screw you to death.
3. Dom you to death.
4. Stab you.
5. Bite you to death.
6. Eat you, one bite at a time.
Jin Yunxi would draw lots to determine the punishment. Yan Qingruo tied a white handkerchief around her Alpha’s eyes.
A crumpled paper ball dropped. Jin Yunxi’s breath stirred faintly as Yan Qingruo pinched the slip between her fingers. She unfolded it, eyes glistening as she saw the chosen option: 【2】.
Her gaze shimmered. “Ah Yun… I already feel like lying to you, right now. What should I do?”
The white paper in her hand, creased like a crumpled lotus petal, slid from her fingers to land upon Jin Yunxi’s thigh.
Her hand followed, bold and unrestrained, skimming down from thigh to—
At last, Jin Yunxi caught sight of the number scrawled on the paper—2. Screw you to death.
One day, if you dare deceive me, I’ll screw you to death.
—And she would relish every moment of it.
Those hands, as sinuous as serpents yet shy as budding shoots, crept downward.
Too late—Jin Yunxi’s legs snapped shut, clamping tightly around Yan Qingruo’s hand just as it reached the center of her desire.
“Yan Qingruo!”
Her ears burned red, and when she lifted her gaze to scold, all she saw was the woman’s luminous, water-bright eyes, brimming with bashful allure. Her lashes lowered, teeth catching her lip as she glanced down toward Jin Yunxi’s thighs.
Even the springtime light couldn’t outshine it.
And deep within the Alpha’s long-dormant body, something burned so hot it trembled.
