After Mistakenly Marking Her Stunning Omega Stepsister - Chapter 49
In the empty restroom, Lin Sui’s voice echoed.
The three girls looked at her in surprise, sizing her up. “We’d advise you not to get involved,” one of them said.
“There’s another restroom upstairs. Go solve your business there.”
Lin Sui narrowed her eyes slightly. “I asked, what are you doing?”
In the corner, Wen Xiangzhu’s face was wet, her red eyes flickering as she looked up.
“Isn’t what we’re doing obvious?” the leader of the group said. “Besides, what does it have to do with you? If you don’t leave, we’ll deal with you too!”
The words hung in the air. Lin Sui let out a soft laugh.
She rotated her wrist and stepped forward deliberately. “Fine, then let’s all get ‘dealt with’ together.”

By the time Jiang Wanwan and Sang Shinian arrived, the bathroom was a chaotic mess, filled with loud commotion.
The three girls had their hair pulled out, their faces bruised and tear-streaked. One of them was even bleeding from the nose, wailing and cursing Lin Sui.
Lin Sui, however, stood pristine and untouched, shielding Wen Xiangzhu behind her back, completely unfazed by their curses.
Perhaps annoyed by the noise, she kicked out again. “Quiet down.”
“You… you…”
“Waaah, don’t leave! I’m going to call the police!”
“This isn’t over!”
“Oh.”
Lin Sui raised an eyebrow. “Go ahead.”
“……”
“Sister Sui, this…”
Jiang Wanwan stared in disbelief at the scene unfolding before her.
“As you can see.”
A faint smile played on Lin Sui’s lips as she glanced at Wen Xiangzhu. She removed her coat and draped it over Wen Xiangzhu’s shoulders. “Don’t catch a cold.”
Sang Shinian’s eyebrows arched slightly as she watched the scene with keen interest. She turned to intercept someone trying to enter the bathroom, smiling. “Sorry, the bathroom is under maintenance.”
“Ah, okay.” The woman eyed the door suspiciously, trying to peer inside, but Sang Shinian blocked her completely. She didn’t press the issue, nodded, and turned to leave.
Not long after, the police arrived.
After a brief overview of the situation, they took several individuals back to the station for questioning.
When they emerged from the police station, Lin Sui still carried herself with calm composure.
The other three, however, were detained for “criticism and education.”
Jiang Wanwan, holding Wen Xiangzhu’s hand, blinked in confusion as she saw them come out.
Come to think of it, this seemed to be the first time she’d ever seen Lin Sui take action.
And… it was actually kind of cool.
Sang Shinian shot Jiang Wanwan a quick glance, subtly blocking her line of sight. She then turned to Wen Xiangzhu with genuine concern. “How are you feeling?”
Jiang Wanwan: “……??”
“I’m alright,” Wen Xiangzhu replied with a small, forced smile. Her cheeks were pale, perhaps from the cold. “Thank you.”
“Don’t mention it.”
Lin Sui approached and glanced at Wen Xiangzhu. “Let’s go. We need to get you changed before you catch a cold.”
“Oh…” Sang Shinian nodded obediently and followed Lin Sui.
“Sang Shinian.”
Lin Sui paused and turned back. “Could you please take Wanwan home?”
“No problem. Don’t worry,” Sang Shinian replied with a smile.
Meanwhile, inside the KTV private room, Zhu Huan was about to fall asleep from waiting.
“Sister Huan,” Xu Nianen murmured, gently shaking her awake. “It’s almost ten o’clock.”
“Huh? Are they back yet?” Zhu Huan sat up, yawning.
Xu Nianen shook her head. “No.”
“Not back yet?!” Zhu Huan instantly perked up. “How long have they been gone?!”
Her expression grew serious as she took out her phone and called Lin Sui.
“Hello? Where are you?”
By then, Lin Sui was already in the car with Wen Xiangzhu.
“Uh, I went to the police station.”
Zhu Huan: “……?”
“Huh?”
“It’s a long story. I’m taking Wen Xiangzhu back first. You guys… do whatever you want. Stay and play, or leave. It’s up to you.”
Lin Sui hung up the phone.
Zhu Huan stared at her phone for a moment, listening to the busy signal, then slumped onto the sofa in frustration.
Great. Now they were really stuck here.
“Sister Huan…”
Xu Nianen blinked, her voice soft. “Do we still have to wait?”
Zhu Huan was silent for a moment. “Wait… no, let’s not wait.”
“Huh?”
“Do you still want to play? We could go somewhere else, or I could take you home.”
“Um… let’s go home. It’s getting late.”
“…Okay.”
Inside the car,
Lin Sui stared at her phone, looking bored but relaxed.
Meanwhile, Wen Xiangzhu seemed restless.
After a moment of hesitation, she finally turned slightly. “Sister.”
“Speak,” Lin Sui replied casually.
“I…”
Wen Xiangzhu’s eyelashes fluttered as she glanced instinctively at the driver. Then, following her memory, she pressed the same button Lin Sui had pressed before.
Soon, the partition between the front and back seats slowly rose.
Lin Sui: “?”
Lin Sui raised an eyebrow, noticing Wen Xiangzhu seemed to have something to say. She put away her phone.
“What is it?”
“Those people… they were my classmates from No. 3 High School.”
Wen Xiangzhu lowered her head, pausing before continuing. “It was just a coincidence. I didn’t know they’d be here.”
“Hmm,” Lin Sui nodded. “Anything else?”
“…That’s all.”
Wen Xiangzhu kept her head down, looking like a child who’d done something wrong.
Lin Sui watched her for a moment, then chuckled softly.
“What’s with this reaction?”
“I didn’t mean to ruin your birthday… Sister, please don’t be angry.” Wen Xiangzhu’s voice cracked.
Lin Sui was taken aback. Truthfully, after what had just happened, she’d completely forgotten it was her birthday. She was angry, but not at this…
After a moment of silence, Lin Sui sighed.
“You’re such a handful.”
“What?” Wen Xiangzhu looked up, bewildered.
A hint of exasperation crept into Lin Sui’s voice. “I said, you’re such a handful. A walking disaster.”
“I-I didn’t mean to…” Wen Xiangzhu’s eyes reddened, and tears welled up.
Lin Sui quickly pinched the soft flesh of Wen Xiangzhu’s cheek. “Don’t cry! Stop! I’m not blaming you… I’m not angry.”
“Really?” Wen Xiangzhu sniffled.
“Really,” Lin Sui replied, releasing her grip and sighing silently. “Don’t cry now!”
She honestly didn’t know how to comfort an Omega.
“Oh…”
Wen Xiangzhu pressed her lips together, her eyes still red but the tears stopped.
Lin Sui let out a small sigh of relief.
They still had about ten minutes to get home, so she could play a little more on her phone.
It was a single-player game she’d just downloaded: Managing a City Hotel.
She couldn’t figure out why she was so interested in this kind of game.
Maybe it was the sense of accomplishment from turning a small, dilapidated building into a grand hotel…
Just as she was getting engrossed in the game, she felt a tug on her hand.
Then, a weight settled on her shoulder as Wen Xiangzhu leaned her head against it.
“You…”
Lin Sui froze, unsure whether to move or stay still.
Could someone please tell her what was going on?!
A soft voice reached Lin Sui’s ears.
“Sister, it’s my heat.”
Lin Sui froze. “Your heat is here?”
“Mm-hmm,” Wen Xiangzhu nodded.
Fortunately, her Blocker Patch seemed securely in place today, barely letting any pheromones escape.
Lin Sui frowned slightly, glancing at the road outside the window. “We’re almost home. Just hang in there a little longer.”
“But I feel so uncomfortable…”
“Just hang in there,” Lin Sui repeated. Realizing her tone might have sounded too cold, she hesitated before adding, “Be good. I’ll take care of you when we get home.”
With that, Wen Xiangzhu fell silent, closing her eyes and leaning against Lin Sui’s shoulder. Her lips parted slightly as she breathed softly.
Before long, the car glided smoothly into the garage.
The driver stepped out first and walked to the rear door. Instead of opening it immediately, he tapped on the window. “Eldest Miss, Second Miss, we’ve arrived.”
“Got it.”
Lin Sui acknowledged the driver and gently helped Wen Xiangzhu up. “Get out of the car and stand steady. We’re almost home.”
“Oh…” Wen Xiangzhu replied reluctantly, her eyes downcast.
Seeing her comply, Lin Sui nodded, opened the car door, and stepped out first. “Thanks for your hard work, Uncle Wang. You can go back and rest now.”
“Alright, then.” The driver lowered his head and walked away without looking back.
Wen Xiangzhu got out of the car, barely able to stand without leaning heavily on Lin Sui.
“…Stand steady. Wait a moment. Let’s go back to your room first.”
“But Auntie Lin seems to be home today,” Wen Xiangzhu said, her eyelashes fluttering.
Lin Sui paused. “How do you know that?”
“Auntie Lin mentioned yesterday she’s off today.” Wen Xiangzhu blinked and looked up at Lin Sui. “What if going back is inconvenient?”
“Are you suggesting…?” Lin Sui frowned, eyeing her suspiciously.
Wen Xiangzhu’s lips curved into a smile. She took Lin Sui’s hand and led her to a corner of the garage.
“We can do it here.”
Lin Sui: “?”
In the garage…?
“This isn’t really appropriate…”
Lin Sui’s lips twitched. She felt unsafe here, as if someone might walk in at any moment.
Wen Xiangzhu shook her head, reached back to her nape, and tore off her Blocker Patch. She turned away from Lin Sui.
“Just do it here. I feel uncomfortable. Hurry up.”
Lin Sui raised an eyebrow, looking troubled.
But the patch was already torn off. She had no choice but to… brace herself and proceed.
With that thought, Lin Sui sighed.
She lifted her trembling hand, gently brushing aside the hair at the back of Wen Xiangzhu’s neck. Her fingers trembled from nervousness.
Only when she clearly saw the Scent Gland did a heat surge through her brain.
Mixed with the increasingly potent pheromone scent, that peculiar sensation arose again.
Without further hesitation, she lowered her head and bit down on the gland.
It was the sweet, fragrant taste of pheromones, utterly alluring. The sensation was hard to describe, like a traveler parched for days finally seeing a handful of water.
Sweet, lingering, and utterly insufficient—this small amount before her was far from enough to satisfy her.
The two pheromones intertwined, quickly merging into one.
Both of them were breathing heavily, their breaths uneven.
The Omega before her grew even softer in her arms.
Lin Sui had to support her just to keep her standing.
After a long moment, Lin Sui gently released her hold, a faint trace of desire still lingering in her eyes.
“Alright,” Wen Xiangzhu murmured, still lost in the lingering sensation.
Lin Sui lowered her gaze, took the Blocker Patch from Wen Xiangzhu’s hand, and pressed it against her scent gland.
This will have to do for now. We’ll replace it later.
The garage was now thick with the scent of pheromones.
Lin Sui pursed her lips and stepped back. “Let’s go home.”
“Okay.”
Wen Xiangzhu followed Lin Sui into the elevator, watching as she pressed the button for the second floor.
The elevator doors opened quickly.
The living room downstairs was still lit. Lin Sui glanced at it, then bent down, grabbed Wen Xiangzhu’s hand, and rushed toward the bedroom.
“Huh? You’re back?”
“We’re back,” Lin Sui replied. “Mom, I need to use the bathroom, I’m in a hurry!”
“Ah, this child…”
Only after closing the door behind her did Lin Sui let out a sigh of relief.
She quickly found a new Blocker Patch and pulled Wen Xiangzhu over to apply it.
“Sister.”
Wen Xiangzhu pursed her lips. “I don’t want to put it on now.”
“Why not?” Lin Sui frowned slightly.
“I…”
Wen Xiangzhu glanced down at her still-damp clothes. “I need to take a shower. I’m cold…”
Hearing this, Lin Sui froze.
How could she have forgotten that?
“Ah, then go ahead.”
Lin Sui rubbed her nose awkwardly and peeled off the freshly applied Blocker Patch. “Go ahead and take a shower. Give me my jacket.”
Wen Xiangzhu nodded obediently and removed Lin Sui’s coat. “Should I wash it for you?”
“No need, no need.”
Wen Xiangzhu stood in only a thin, damp shirt, clinging to her body and accentuating her curves.
Through the damp fabric, the pale skin beneath was faintly visible.
Lin Sui hastily refused, snatched up her clothes, and headed for the door.
“Go ahead and wash. I’m leaving.”
“Oh…”
Wen Xiangzhu stood in the room, watching Lin Sui depart, before turning and entering the bathroom.
Back in her own room, Lin Sui turned on the light and leaned against the door, suddenly feeling inexplicably exhausted.
She wanted to lie down and rest, but she hadn’t bathed yet.
Little Calico had somehow made its way into her room and was now perched on the desk, licking its fur.
After watching it for a while, she raised an eyebrow and walked over. “Come here, let me hold you for a bit.”
Little Calico glanced at Lin Sui, then flicked its tail and leaped off the desk. It sauntered out with an air of disdain, completely ignoring her.
Lin Sui: “……”
Even a cat is defying me now?!

After her bath, Lin Wei called Lin Sui to the living room.
“Your birthday is at the end of the month, so we’re already planning your birthday banquet. Now that your engagement with Wanwan is broken, we can start looking for a new Omega.”
“What do you mean?” Lin Sui asked, her brows furrowing slightly.
“Don’t you understand?” Lin Wei chuckled softly. “There will be many Omegas your age attending the banquet. If you see someone you like, just tell Mom, and I’ll arrange everything…”
“Is this still about an arranged marriage?” Lin Sui asked after a moment of silence.
“No, of course not!” Lin Wei shook her head quickly. “Mom said if you find someone you like, we’ll proceed. If not, we’ll just let it be…”
“Mom, I have a question for you,” Lin Sui said, her head bowed in silence for a long moment.
“Yes, go ahead.”
“Do you have any specific requirements for my future partner? I mean, in terms of family background and such.”
Lin Wei paused, then sighed.
“Mom doesn’t have any specific requirements, just that the family background be clean. Of course, the person themselves must be outstanding too.”
“Is that really all?” Lin Sui blinked.
Lin Wei raised an eyebrow, smiling. “What, does my daughter have her heart set on an Omega?”
“No! No, I just happened to think of it and asked casually.”
Really, just casually.
