After Marrying the Cold Omega in Secret - Chapter 75
After finishing their barbecue, dusk had nearly fallen. The sunset lasted only about ten minutes, during which they took the opportunity to snap a few group photos. Chu Jin even pulled out her phone to take a solo shot with Chi Ye.
The setting sun cast an orange-red glow on their faces, bathing every strand of hair in a soft, warm filter. Both of them wore faint smiles for the camera, exuding effortless natural charm.
They didn’t manage to take many photos before night descended. They strung up fairy lights around the tent, and when switched on, they twinkled like stars in the night.
The gentle, shimmering glow enveloped the surrounding darkness, creating a cozy little haven.
Zhou Meng and the others had even brought a projector. Once the screen was set up, everyone gathered to watch a movie together, with some fellow campers joining in.
In the dim light, with the crowd scattered in small groups, Chu Jin and Chi Ye naturally ended up sitting together on a two-seater bench, sharing the same blanket.
The blanket was large enough to drape over their shoulders and still wrap around their fronts.
They picked a classic old movie, and once it started playing, everyone quieted down, eyes fixed on the screen, occasionally reaching for snacks on the table.
Most were too absorbed to pay attention to anything else.
Seated at the back and hidden under the blanket, Chi Ye grew bold.
Moving with subtlety, she shifted her fingers carefully, ensuring the blanket didn’t stir, and then stealthily took Chu Jin’s hand.
The moment their skin touched, the emotions she had suppressed all day finally found release.
Chi Ye was starting to wonder if she had some kind of touch starvation, why else would she be so obsessed with Chu Jin’s body, craving physical contact at every moment?
Even if it had to be done secretly under a blanket.
Feeling the touch, Chu Jin’s lips curled slightly, and she squeezed Chi Ye’s hand in return.
Leaning closer, she turned to look at Chi Ye’s profile and whispered, “Why aren’t you paying attention to the movie?”
Her eyes sparkled with amusement under the warm glow of the fairy lights, as if she had already seen through Chi Ye’s little scheme.
But that gaze was like a deadly intoxicant to Chi Ye, making her heart burn with restless heat. She quickly averted her eyes and smoothly changed the subject, “Shouldn’t you take your suppressant soon?”
Today was the third day of Chu Jin’s rut.
The first two days had, of course, been spent entangled with Chi Ye to get through it. But with so many people around today, Chu Jin had taken an inhibitor beforehand, a strong one, specially given by Chi Ye.
After all, they were out in public, surrounded by who knew how many omegas among the campers. As someone with equally strong possessive instincts, Chi Ye refused to let Chu Jin be affected by anyone else’s pheromones.
But that dose would only last about ten hours, and the time limit was approaching. It was time for the next shot.
“You inject me.”
Chu Jin leaned in even closer, her warm breath brushing against Chi Ye’s ear, damp and tingling.
The inhibitor Chi Ye provided was extremely potent, a single injection took immediate effect. The previously restless emotions were instantly soothed, feeling completely normal without any discomfort, even leaving her mind calmer than usual.
However, the more effective the inhibitor, the more intense the backlash when it wore off. The cravings for control, destruction, and desire would become far stronger than during a typical rut.
Yet despite years of research, inhibitors had never been able to circumvent this side effect.
That was why, after their differentiation period, most alphas sought compatible partners so they could endure their ruts without relying on inhibitors.
Moreover, most inhibitors on the market had side effects to some degree. The longer they were used, the more unstable an alpha’s emotions became during their rut. The same went for omegas, who would grow abnormally sensitive to pheromones.
Chi Ye, who had been injecting inhibitors for years, would sometimes feel her body weaken uncontrollably upon catching a whiff of Chu Jin’s pheromones even outside of her heat. Her own pheromones would grow restless and chaotic, let alone when she had to administer an inhibitor directly into Chu Jin’s gland.
By then, she’d likely surrender before even injecting it, rendering the dose unnecessary.
So when Chu Jin made her suggestion, Chi Ye couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “Go by yourself.”
Chu Jin chuckled, having expected that answer.
Then, without hesitation, she hooked an arm around Chi Ye’s waist, deliberately giving her side a teasing pinch.
Though there was no excess fat, the touch was still soft and pliant simply irresistible.
Chu Jin’s slow, suggestive movements made Chi Ye’s heart clench. A tingling sensation, like an electric current, spread from her waist to her entire body, manifesting in slightly ragged breaths, hazy, liquid eyes, and the damp heat of their pressed-together bodies.
Every inch of her was unbearably sensitive.
Others might not know, but Chu Jin was well aware.
Every move she made was deliberate calculated to tease and conquer.
And though Chi Ye claimed she wanted to flaunt their affection, in reality, she was all talk. The moment things got too public, she’d chicken out and flee.
Coincidentally, Chu Jin loved provoking her in these situations.
Especially during her own special period, when the urge to tease was at its peak. She wanted to see Chi Ye’s shy expression, flushed cheeks, and trembling lashes.
And that longing gaze.
The thought alone made Chu Jin’s throat burn. She tightened her grip effortlessly, pulling Chi Ye firmly into her arms.
Her lips nearly brushed Chi Ye’s ear as she murmured in a coaxing tone, “Wife, come with me!”
“Please!”
Chi Ye’s ears reddened visibly, the heat radiating off them almost palpable.
They were pressed far too close now. Their thin clothing made it easy to feel each other’s body heat, and even beneath the blanket, their intimate embrace was unmistakable.
Caught off guard by the sudden closeness, Chi Ye’s heart pounded wildly, each beat heavy and frantic. Her gaze darted nervously, terrified someone might turn and see them.
She tried to subtly pull away, but Chu Jin only held her tighter, turning shameless.
“If you don’t come with me, I won’t let go.”
With those words, her hand deliberately slid down, cupping the full curve of her buttocks. Though such touches were already familiar to Chu Jin, Chi Ye remained highly tense, her body rigid with nervousness.
It wasn’t until Chu Jin’s palm began kneading firmly that Chi Ye finally surrendered. “Let’s go,” she whispered, her voice barely audible, laced with an almost imperceptible tremor that betrayed her fraying self-control.
Understanding flashed in Chu Jin’s eyes as her lips curved into a smile before releasing Chi Ye’s waist. She then led Chi Ye by the hand as they stealthily slipped away from the back.
Everyone was too engrossed in the movie to notice their movements, allowing the pair to quickly locate their tent. It stood merely ten meters from the screening area close enough that the film’s audio still reached them inside. The proximity meant people were practically sitting right outside their tent flap.
Chu Jin didn’t forget to zip the tent shut behind them, a precaution against unexpected visitors. Chi Ye, seeing this seamless sequence of actions, knew nothing good would come of it. This was clearly about more than just administering suppressants.
As expected, no sooner had Chu Jin secured the tent than she turned and pinned Chi Ye beneath her. Without allowing a moment’s respite, their lips met in a searing kiss, tongues intertwining to ignite their bodies instantly. Chu Jin found Chi Ye’s hand, interlacing their fingers tightly.
The kisses traveled from lips to earlobes. The confined space amplified every sound their ragged breathing cutting through the silent night with unmistakable clarity, stoking the heat between them. Chu Jin placed a hand over Chi Ye’s mouth, but the latter, overwhelmed, accidentally let out a soft moan.
Chu Jin’s hazy eyes met hers as she murmured breathlessly, “Quieter, love. We wouldn’t want anyone to hear.” Only half of Chi Ye’s face was visible, her cheeks flushed crimson. Her glistening eyes shimmered like springwater, the corners damp with restrained tears, lending her an irresistibly vulnerable allure.
Parting her lips slightly, Chi Ye caught the soft flesh of Chu Jin’s finger between her teeth not biting hard, but the warm, slick contact sent desire roaring through Chu Jin like wildfire. The cramped tent became a crucible where passion swirled like thick mist, saturating every inch of air.
The morning’s suppressants had long since worn off, leaving Chu Jin drowning in a tidal wave of craving. Yet unlike Chu Jin’s abandon, Chi Ye remained acutely aware of potential discovery. This very restraint only heightened the thrill, sparking the exact intoxicating excitement she secretly yearned for.
She clung to Chu Jin, her eyelashes fluttering faintly like butterfly wings. Her nails dug crescent marks into Chu Jin’s shoulders as Chu Jin’s voice grew thick, nipping at Chi Ye’s burning earlobe. “Love, how you clenched at the end.”
The words made Chi Ye’s heart flutter with shyness. She looped her arms around Chu Jin’s neck, cutting her off with a soft, pleading whisper, “Don’t say it.” Chu Jin chuckled low before brushing her thumb over Chi Ye’s lips and leaning down for another lingering kiss.
They were jolted from their post-passion haze by Xin Ning’s clear voice outside: “Sisters, are you in there? Come out to see the stars!” After hastily straightening their clothes and draping shawls around themselves, they emerged from the tent.
“How did you two sneak away?” Xin Ning tilted her head and asked.
Chu Jin cleared her throat and casually made up an excuse, “It was too cold earlier, so we came to put on some extra clothes.”
Fortunately, the two of them had already calmed down for a while, and the flush on their cheeks had mostly faded.
Still, the subtle tension afterward was hard to conceal.
But Xin Ning was currently lost in the dazzling expanse of stars above, too preoccupied to dwell on it.
She led them to the best stargazing spot.
