After Marrying the Cold Omega in Secret - Chapter 72
After a day off, they returned to the rhythm of filming.
However, after that day, it was visibly apparent that the relationship between Chu Jin and Chi Ye had improved.
Despite their conscious efforts to restrain themselves, whenever their eyes met, an uncontrollable surge of affection would radiate between them. This even led to multiple retakes during their scenes together.
Director Su Chenxiao, of course, noticed immediately.
Unable to resist teasing them, he remarked, “Seems like a day off really helps deepen bonds.”
Chu Jin suppressed her guilt and offered a faint smile without responding.
Beside her, Chi Ye nodded in agreement. “We owe it all to that day off.”
Chu Jin: “…”
What was going on? Where was the aloof CEO Chi?
She glanced sideways and saw pure delight in Chi Ye’s eyes.
But then again, given how skilled she was having thoroughly satisfied Chi Ye over the past two days it was no surprise she was in such high spirits.
Still, the contrast from their previous dynamic was stark. Worried about giving themselves away, Chu Jin shot her a warning look, but Chi Ye ignored it completely.
Fortunately, Su Chenxiao didn’t press further, only offering a knowing smile before walking away.
Next, they were set to film the scene where Wen Qin decides to “sponsor” Shen Huai.
Though they had only slept together twice, their chemistry was undeniable—so much so that Wen Qin found herself constantly reminiscing about it.
Yet, as someone nearing thirty, she couldn’t shake the guilt of sleeping with a college student.
She wasn’t looking for a relationship and couldn’t offer emotional commitment.
The only thing she could give was money.
Noticing Shen Huai’s modest attire and assuming she came from an ordinary background, Wen Qin proposed the arrangement.
To her surprise, Shen Huai agreed immediately without even glancing at the contract terms flipping straight to the last page to sign.
Wen Qin blinked in surprise. “Aren’t you going to think it over?”
Shen Huai handed back the signed copy, her tone indifferent. “I’m broke, and you’re offering money. It’s mutually beneficial.”
“But you didn’t even check the amount.”
Shen Huai paused, though she betrayed no panic, leisurely flipping through the contract. “Hmm. 300,000 a month.”
Then she met Wen Qin’s gaze, her voice flat. “That’s generous.”
Wen Qin nodded hesitantly. “If you’re fine with it, then it’s settled.”
With that, their contract was sealed.
Later, Wen Qin rented Shen Huai a spacious penthouse. Whenever she had free time, she’d drop by, and soon, every corner of the 3,000-square-foot space bore traces of their encounters.
From the living room sofa to the balcony lounge chair, the kitchen counter to the bathroom tub they explored every position until even novelty wore off, prompting them to seek new thrills elsewhere.
A secluded mountain road, a silent library, a dimly lit hotel room…
As a result, Chu Jin and Chi Ye now had to film numerous intimate scenes across multiple locations, exhausting work, and an exercise in restraint.
But things were different now.
Back when they filmed their first bed scene, the tension between them had been palpable, yet their unresolved conflicts forced them to suppress their desires, pretending nothing had happened—each careful not to let the other notice.
But now, after every filming session, they would take advantage of the lingering passion and retreat to their room to indulge in each other.
Chu Jin’s skills had grown increasingly refined, capable of bringing Chi Ye to climax in record time. Even amidst the trembling and contractions, the pleasure would continue endlessly, wave after wave of ecstasy submerging her completely.
This drama had also given Chu Jin plenty of inspiration. Through repeated experimentation in new scenarios, she gradually discovered that Chi Ye seemed to particularly enjoy the thrill of secrecy in such matters.
So, one evening after filming an intimate scene.
They returned to their room, and the moment the door closed, Chi Ye moved in eagerly, only to be gently stopped by Chu Jin.
“Wait a moment.” She steadied Chi Ye by the shoulders, pausing before continuing, “The shoot was so hot just now. I need some water. Want some too?”
Chi Ye’s eyes flickered with slight confusion.
Their filming location had been a hotel room within the studio lot. Though crowded, the air conditioning had been blasting—despite the scorching August heat, they had filmed for hours from different angles without breaking a sweat.
And just by looking at her, there was no sign that Chu Jin was overheated at all.
Still, Chi Ye didn’t voice her doubts, simply shaking her head. “I’m not thirsty.”
Chu Jin smiled and released her, heading toward the kitchen.
Watching her retreating figure, Chi Ye felt a pang of disappointment, the restless heat and damp desire within her forced into temporary suppression.
The room was bathed in the dimming light of dusk, that ambiguous moment between day and night. Without the lights on, the atmosphere was thick with suggestion.
Chi Ye settled into the recliner by the floor-to-ceiling window, the chair swaying gently under her weight.
Nestled into the plush cushion, she felt a wave of comfort.
Then, her phone buzzed with a message.
From Yan Sisi.
[Drinks?]
Short and to the point, accompanied by a photo of a noisy bar—dim lighting, bottles cluttering the table.
At the edge of the frame, a pair of slender, pale thighs pressed tightly against Yan Sisi’s leg.
Last time they had talked, Yan Sisi had also invited her out for drinks. Chi Ye had asked then if Bai Xuqing wasn’t working and could join them.
Yan Sisi hadn’t bothered hiding it, she wasn’t with Bai Xuqing. She had gone out alone.
Chi Ye hadn’t said much then, nor had she gone.
And now, just days later, she was out carousing again.
Chi Ye replied:
[Your girlfriend doesn’t keep you in check?]
The response came swiftly, followed by a voice message.
[Why should she? Even my mom doesn’t control me.]
Yan Sisi’s voice was thick with drunkenness, her words slightly slurred, the background filled with pulsing music and the laughter of men and women.
Chi Ye frowned.
Having been friends with Yan Sisi for years, Chi Ye knew her temperament well loyal to friends, pleasant company, but an absolute failure as a partner.
Growing up under strict family supervision, Yan Sisi had lacked the nerve to act out. But after starting university, freed from restraint, she had become like a wild horse, indulging in hedonism hopping from one party to the next, never without a girlfriend.
Sometimes, more than one at a time.
But as a friend, Chi Ye didn’t interfere with her private life, maintaining just the right amount of distance.
Nor was it right to pass judgment on the matter.
Three years ago, Chi Ye had no choice but to seek Yan Sisi’s help, asking her to look after Chu Jin while he was abroad. In return, he promised to fulfill one request for her.
It wasn’t until Chi Ye returned that Yan Sisi finally revealed what she wanted.
Chi Ye still remembered that day vividly—over the phone, Yan Sisi spoke with deep remorse, claiming she had completely turned over a new leaf and abandoned her old ways. She then recounted how she had fallen in love with Bai Xuqing at first sight.
One night, after drinking too much, Yan Sisi was dragged to the hospital by her friends. That happened to be Bai Xuqing’s shift, and that was how they met.
Of course, it was only a one-sided acquaintance—Bai Xuqing saw countless patients daily and didn’t even remember her.
But Yan Sisi, captivated by Bai Xuqing’s refined and ethereal demeanor, found herself enchanted by his every smile and gesture. From then on, she never set foot in a bar again.
Yet she didn’t intrude into Bai Xuqing’s life either. She wanted to enter his world as a completely new person.
Then, she told Chi Ye what she wanted in return.
After much deliberation, Chi Ye agreed to her request. He personally arranged for Bai Xuqing to join the show and even secured a spot for Yan Sisi.
Later, during the program, Yan Sisi effortlessly won Bai Xuqing’s heart with her own charm, and by the time filming ended, they had already reached the stage of marking each other.
Back then, Yan Sisi was overflowing with affection, orbiting Bai Xuqing like a lovestruck fool. Even Chi Ye had believed she had truly reformed.
But in the end, old habits die hard—her true nature resurfaced after just over two months.
Looking back now, Chi Ye couldn’t help but question whether helping Yan Sisi had been the right decision.
Though he wasn’t close to Bai Xuqing, they had at least appeared on the same show together, and he couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt.
Yan Sisi sent a few more messages, but Chi Ye didn’t reply.
As he closed his phone, Chu Jin emerged from the kitchen.
The gloom in his heart instantly dissipated, as if the lingering mist had been swept away by a clear breeze.
He naturally shifted aside, making room for Chu Jin.
“Why did it take so long?” Chi Ye leaned back, lifting his gaze lazily to look at her.
Chu Jin shook the two glass cups in her hands.
One was filled with a chilled drink, the other packed with ice cubes that clinked softly as they swayed.
“There wasn’t any ice in the freezer, so I had to make some.”
Ice?
Chi Ye’s brow arched slightly, his heart tightening as if already wrapped in that coolness.
The refreshing chill clashed with the suppressed fire within him—a contradiction that bred complex, restless longing.
Chu Jin glanced at the lounge chair Chi Ye was sitting in.
The chair was stylishly designed, its backrest reclined at a 130-degree angle and adjustable to lie flat. The cushion was thick and plush, perfectly contoured to the body.
Most importantly, it could rock gently with movement.
Perfect.
A faint smile tugged at Chu Jin’s lips.
Then, she simply sat down beside Chi Ye.
Though the rocking chair was spacious, fitting two people made it slightly cramped, pressing their bodies together.
The gentle swaying made their hearts lightly collide.
Chu Jin dropped a few ice cubes into the drink.
Then, she raised the glass and took a sip.
“Are you sure you don’t want any?” Chu Jin glanced sideways at Chi Ye.
Chi Ye’s gaze was deep and profound, with an underlying intensity that burned like molten lava.
She looked at Chu Jin and replied softly:
“I want you to feed me.”
