After Marrying the Cold Omega in Secret - Chapter 30
For a moment, Chu Jin thought she had misheard. But when she saw the softness in Chi Ye’s expression, she felt not only surprised but also slightly dazed.
This version of Chi Ye was completely unfamiliar to her.
There was no time to figure out why Chi Ye was suddenly acting this way. That one gentle plea sounded like a spell, causing Chu Jin’s defenses to drop instantly. For a moment, everything around her disappeared. That sudden flutter in her heart spread quickly and turned into a wave of warmth and longing.
Without even thinking, she found herself reaching out to put her arm around Chi Ye’s shoulders.
Just then, the camera switched back to the inside of the car. Before the cameraman could point the lens at them, Chu Jin snapped back to reality.
“Mornings can be chilly,” she said, lowering the arm she had nearly lifted. Her voice sounded slightly dry and hoarse.
Although she had stopped herself from touching Chi Ye, she did not move away either. At this point, their skin was pressed closely together, and Chi Ye had leaned in just enough to rest lightly against her. Their posture looked quite intimate.
But neither of them pulled back. They both pretended not to notice and stayed close.
The livestream chat immediately erupted.
【What kind of position is this?】
【I knew it. This couple is real.】
【Qiao Man must be losing her mind in the other car.】
【It’s official. Only Qiao Man is suffering. I’m loving it.】
As the car continued, Chu Jin kept replaying everything that had just happened. She couldn’t stop thinking about that line Chi Ye had whispered. It felt strangely familiar.
Suddenly, her memory flashed back to the day before yesterday, when she overheard a conversation outside the iris gate.
That exact line had been spoken by Yan Sisi to Chi Ye.
Word for word.
A strange heat rushed to Chu Jin’s chest.
So, had Chi Ye borrowed that line from Yan Sisi and used it on her? Or had Chi Ye known she was eavesdropping that day, and was now testing her?
Several possibilities raced through Chu Jin’s mind. After thinking it over, only the first option made logical sense. Chi Ye must have gone to Yan Sisi to learn how to act cute, then used it during their date in an attempt to charm her.
To seduce her?
Chu Jin was startled by her own conclusion. But she knew she couldn’t jump to assumptions. She would need more time around Chi Ye before making any clear judgments.
After all, she still couldn’t imagine that someone like President Chi, powerful and respected in Linhe, would fall for her.
The car gradually left the quiet suburbs and entered the busy city. Watching the crowds and morning traffic, Chu Jin felt like she had returned to the real world after a stretch of peaceful isolation.
Their first stop was the location Qiao Man had chosen.
After getting out of the car, Qiao Man led them through a small artsy street and stopped in front of a cute, cozy shop.
It was a handmade pottery studio called Dream Craft.
There were only a few customers inside, just one or two people quietly working on their own pieces.
Qiao Man had made a reservation in advance. Their seats were set inside a private partition with three pottery wheels arranged in a circle. Each one was evenly spaced, so no one was sitting particularly closer to anyone else.
A staff member gave them a brief demonstration, then left them to practice on their own.
As soon as they entered the store, Chu Jin remembered the injury on Chi Ye’s finger. Although the bandage had been removed, the wound still looked fragile.
After the demonstration ended, she couldn’t help but ask,
“Are you sure your hand is okay?”
This activity required a lot of hand work, kneading and pressing clay while keeping the hands wet. If the wound reopened, it could become a real problem.
Qiao Man looked apologetic and said,
“I completely forgot about that. Maybe it’s best if you sit this one out?”
Although her brows were furrowed, she didn’t actually feel sorry. She hadn’t chosen the activity on purpose, but now that it looked like Chi Ye wouldn’t be able to participate, she couldn’t help but feel secretly pleased.
When Chi Ye stayed silent, Qiao Man added,
“Or we can help you make one. Later, you can just paint it.”
The atmosphere became a little awkward. Chi Ye’s expression was unreadable, and Qiao Man looked toward Chu Jin, waiting for her to say something.
Since Chu Jin was the one connecting both sides of this date, she needed to step in and balance the situation.
Logically, Chi Ye should avoid using her injured hand. But if she did not participate, it would feel like she was being left out of the date.
Chu Jin hesitated, clearly torn between reason and concern.
Just then, Chi Ye spoke.
“It’s fine. I can manage with one hand.” She picked a seat and sat down, then looked at Chu Jin.
“If I can’t do it, I’ll have to trouble you for help.”
Qiao Man’s moment of victory vanished instantly. She sat down with a smile and offered,
“I’ve done pottery many times. I’m familiar with the process. I can help you.”
On the surface, both women remained calm, but Chu Jin could feel the tension rising. She quickly sat down and added,
“We can both help you. Just let us know what you need.”
Chi Ye gave a small nod, ignoring Qiao Man entirely. She looked only at Chu Jin and said softly,
“Thank you.”
They placed the clay on their wheels, turned on the machines, and began working.
Chu Jin had decided to make a simple cup. Since it was her first time, her movements were still awkward. She held the clay carefully for a long time and only managed to shape a crooked cylinder.
Chi Ye, working with one hand, was even more clumsy. She hadn’t even formed a basic shape yet.
Qiao Man, on the other hand, moved smoothly and confidently. She quickly shaped a perfect cylinder. Seeing that Chu Jin was struggling, she stood up and said,
“Jin-jie, let me help you.”
She stepped behind Chu Jin, leaned down, and gently wrapped her arms around her, reaching out to guide her hands.
Just then, a sharp hiss came from Chi Ye.
Chu Jin immediately froze and looked up.
“What’s wrong?”
Chi Ye was trying to use both hands now. Her injured left hand was already wet and covered in clay. It must have aggravated the wound.
When she answered, her brows were tightly knit, and even her voice was rough.
“It hurts a little.”
She looked genuinely pitiful.
Chu Jin had rarely seen Chi Ye like this. Normally so composed and distant, she was now clearly in discomfort. Chu Jin couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy.
She quickly interrupted Qiao Man, stood up, and walked over to Chi Ye. Gently, she helped clean the clay from her hands, then took out a small adhesive bandage from her purse.
She had brought it along just in case.
“You should avoid touching water for a few more days.”
After finishing, Chu Jin turned slightly, but Qiao Man was still standing where she had been, clearly waiting for her to return.
Chi Ye suddenly spoke up.
“Why don’t you use Chu Jin’s clay to show us the steps? We’ll all learn together using the same one.”
She pointed at the patch of clay in front of her.
Qiao Man’s expression faltered. It was rare for her to lose composure during a show.
But Chi Ye could only use one hand at the moment. The suggestion was entirely reasonable, and for a brief moment, she didn’t know how to decline it.
Missing the right moment to say no was essentially the same as silently agreeing.
Especially in front of the cameras.
Left with no other option, Qiao Man accepted her role as the instructor. She sat down where Chu Jin had been and began to teach.
Chu Jin and Chi Ye, each using one hand, supported the clay on either side. As the pottery wheel turned, they followed Qiao Man’s instructions, pressing and kneading the clay together.
Their fingertips brushed more often than not. At first, Chu Jin tried to avoid the contact on purpose, but eventually she got used to it.
For the sake of efficiency, Chu Jin decided to use both hands. She stood up and moved behind Chi Ye, wrapping her arms around her from the back. As she leaned down, her warm breath gently swept across the hollow of Chi Ye’s neck.
Then her right hand softly covered Chi Ye’s hand, guiding her with a gentle kneading motion.
Because their hands were coated in wet clay, their skin was slippery. The way their fingers touched and slid against each other felt incredibly intimate. Their bodies were now pressed together, and Chi Ye could clearly feel the soft warmth of Chu Jin behind her.
Chi Ye swallowed quietly. She let herself feel it, let her imagination wander.
Images of Chu Jin wearing her strappy nightgown lingered in her mind.
Combined with the physical closeness they shared today, a deep longing was already burning in her chest. She could feel the heat rising from the back of her neck.
To Chi Ye, this was no longer just pottery. There was desire in every motion. Even the soft clay twisting in her hands seemed charged with sensuality.
By now, the cup had mostly taken shape, though the rim was still slightly uneven.
Chu Jin leaned in and whispered softly in her ear.
“A little softer.”
Her husky voice was low and steady, sending a shiver through Chi Ye’s entire body. The feeling was intense, stirring the waves of desire that were already building inside her into something overwhelming.
“Wait,” Chi Ye said. Her voice trembled slightly, though her expression remained composed in front of the camera.
Only Chu Jin, standing so close, could sense the subtle shift in her tone.
“What is it?” Chu Jin paused and straightened up a little as she asked.
Chi Ye turned her head to look at her. Her breathing was unsteady.
“Come to the restroom with me.”
Chi Ye was facing away from the camera, so only Chu Jin noticed the faint shimmer in her eyes. There was a dampness that revealed just how close she was to losing control.
Her heat had arrived.
Chu Jin understood immediately.
Just a few days earlier, during her own heat, she had asked Chi Ye about hers. Chi Ye had said it was coming soon. Neither of them expected it to start during their date, especially not during a full-day live broadcast.
Chu Jin reacted quickly. After saying a brief word to Qiao Man, she took Chi Ye by the hand and led her to the restroom.
The restroom was spacious and bright. The environment was clean and elegant, almost like something out of a high-end private club.
It was still early, and there were very few customers in the shop.
Inside the restroom, there was no one else.
Chu Jin brought Chi Ye inside and closed the door behind them. Before she could even turn around, she felt a warm tingling sensation at her waist. Chi Ye had already embraced her from behind, arms tightly wrapped around her. Her chin rested gently on Chu Jin’s shoulder.
Her breath was hot against the side of Chu Jin’s neck.
Her voice was low and slightly hoarse, laced with a hazy need, as she murmured softly.
“Jiejie, you smell so good.”
