After Getting Bound to Both the Protagonist and the Villain at the Same Time - Chapter 23.2
Gu Mian finally paused. Lin Chuyi shoved her away, rolled across the bed, and wrapped herself in the duvet like a cocoon, huddling against the wall.
“I’m not talking to you,” Lin Chuyi muttered, her eyes misty. “You’re a bully!”
“It’s clearly your fault, Sister.” Gu Mian sounded genuinely aggrieved. “You favor the younger one and always treat me poorly. Even the gift you gave me was just a wedding party favor.”
Hearing this, Lin Chuyi felt a twinge of guilt. Perhaps giving her those rings had been a bit thoughtless. She conveniently forgot that Gu Mian had begged for them while drunk and insisted Lin Chuyi put them on her. Her heart softened. “I don’t favor her,” she said. “I won’t be biased.”
“You already are.” Gu Mian reached out and unrolled the duvet from the opposite side. Lin Chuyi was defenseless against her strength.
Gu Mian placed a hand over Lin Chuyi’s heart and said righteously, “You see? Your heart is biased. It’s leaning to the left!”
Lin Chuyi never expected such a move. Her mind went blank, and she stared at Gu Mian like a dazed kitten.
“You are bullying me!!!” Lin Chuyi tried to swat Gu Mian’s hand away, but Gu Mian refused to move, letting her hand linger against the soft fabric.
Gu Mian’s voice dropped to a low, husky register. She let out a soft chuckle that made Lin Chuyi’s ears turn bright red. She was being incredibly dominant.
She pinned Lin Chuyi’s hands above her head with one hand, while the other remained focused on her heart. She wanted to ask: Did Shen Qing do this? Did she kiss you during your ‘wedding’? Did she want to see your heart?
Gu Mian moved slowly, and that deliberate pace caused a fine sheen of sweat to break out on Lin Chuyi’s forehead. Driven to the brink, Lin Chuyi’s eyes welled with tears. She couldn’t describe what she was feeling—it was part annoyance, part embarrassment, and a sudden, violent racing of her heart.
Gu Mian was being so wicked, yet Lin Chuyi found she couldn’t bring herself to hate her.
“If you keep this up, I really won’t talk to you anymore,” Lin Chuyi threatened weakly. “Gu Mian, this, this feels awful. If you want something, just tell me. Don’t, don’t control me like this.”
“Gu Mian—mm!”
“Sister, do you know what I’m thinking?” Gu Mian’s voice was strangely calm. She looked into Lin Chuyi’s lovely, tear-filled eyes and realized for the first time how captivating they were when she was on the verge of crying.
“I want the same as her,” Gu Mian whispered. “Whatever she has, I want too. Since you two have already ‘married,’ then this wedding night—”
“Let me take it.”
