After Flirting with the God-Tier Beautiful Tycoon - Chapter 57.1
When they arrived at Venus, He Zhong got out and opened the door for her. He led her to the main entrance.
“Manager He, good evening,” several bodyguards greeted him.
“Master Seven is on the second floor. You can wait here for a moment,” He Zhong said, before departing.
The brown solid wood double doors, inlaid with gold, were tightly shut. Although the soundproofing was excellent, a cacophony of music still leaked through the cracks. She had seen descriptions of bars in novels many times, but they never felt real. Today, standing at the entrance for the first time, her heart raced and her palms grew damp.
“Want to go in?” A gentle, cool voice came from behind her.
The bodyguards nearby immediately bowed ninety degrees, their voices filled with absolute reverence: “Good evening, Master Seven!”
Shen Xiaojiang froze for a second, then spun around. There, on the stairs under the lights, stood a woman in a strapless mini-dress.
It was the first time she had seen Chen Yi dressed so provocatively and casually. The dress was pure black with feather trim at the top and bottom. The tight fabric hugged her graceful figure, highlighting every curve with immense charm. Especially those long, straight legs they were enough to make anyone lose their mind.
Shen Xiaojiang swallowed hard, her eyes filled with naked greed. Her entire face screamed two words: “Sleep [with] you.”
The woman’s originally haughty gaze softened when she saw Shen Xiaojiang. She lowered her eyes, pursed her lips, and smiled gently with the corners of her eyes crinkling. She looked just like that sliver of moonlight Shen Xiaojiang had seen back at the dorm so familiar, yet so surreal.
Chen Yi smoothed back her hair, then leaned slightly forward, resting her folded hands on the golden spiral banister. Her black high heels featured silver straps that wound up to her knees, dotted with rhinestones. The light from above made her features look three dimensional and made the rhinestones on her shoes sparkle.
“Auntie, g-good evening,” Shen Xiaojiang’s voice sounded stuck in her throat hoarse and dry.
Chen Yi smiled and exhaled. Then, she walked gracefully down the stairs toward Shen Xiaojiang. Along the way, the bodyguards kept their heads down, not daring to look at her. Because of the heels, Chen Yi was the same height as Shen Xiaojiang, perhaps even slightly taller.
“I asked you a question, why didn’t you answer?” A smile played in the corners of Chen Yi’s narrow eyes. She used a cool finger to tilt Shen Xiaojiang’s chin up, her tone playful. “Auntie is… very heartbroken.”
A tingling sensation traveled from Shen Xiaojiang’s chin through her entire body. Looking at the glamorous Chen Yi, ripples of emotion surged in her heart. Perhaps it was because Chen Yi’s gaze was too scorching, or perhaps the cold fragrance was too intoxicating, but Shen Xiaojiang nodded. “I… I want to.”
Chen Yi chuckled and said emotionlessly, “Open the doors.”
The next second, the two bodyguards closest to the entrance each grabbed a handle and pulled. The double doors opened like a scroll, revealing the scene inside.
Dazzling colors, explosive noise. Various scents blended into a war of hormones. Shen Xiaojiang turned, her eyes reflecting the shifting, flowing lights.
Chen Yi stood behind her and slowly put on a black mask, handing another one to Shen Xiaojiang.
“This is?” Shen Xiaojiang looked at Chen Yi’s face. The mask only covered the area around her eyes if you looked closely, you could still tell who she was.
“Tonight’s theme is a ‘Masquerade Party’,” Chen Yi whispered into her ear so she could hear over the music.
Only then did Shen Xiaojiang notice that many people in the massive dance pit were wearing small masks.
“Take it. Wear it if you want if not, you can throw it away.” With that, Chen Yi brushed past Shen Xiaojiang’s shoulder and stepped inside.
Shen Xiaojiang held the black mask, her thumb lightly tracing the sequins. She followed Chen Yi. The heavy doors slowly closed, shutting out the silent night.
It was crowded, people pushing past each other. Shen Xiaojiang frowned slightly and followed Chen Yi closely. She wasn’t afraid of being bumped herself she was afraid of others bumping into Chen Yi.
Chen Yi raised a hand, and a waiter in a white shirt and grey vest spoke into his headset. Soon, a section of the bar counter was cleared, and the waiter led them to their seats. As the owner, Chen Yi didn’t need to open a tab; she could sit wherever she liked.
A whole wall was lined with various bottles of liquor, and the bartenders both male and female were all very attractive. Shen Xiaojiang felt a mix of nerves and excitement, as if a novel had come to life.
She struggled onto a high barstool, only to see Chen Yi sitting with her legs crossed, one hand propped on the black and gold marble counter, smiling as she watched her.
“Hehe, I’ve never sat in a chair this high,” Shen Xiaojiang said with an awkward laugh.
Chen Yi reached out and ruffled the top of Shen Xiaojiang’s hair. “Do you hate mint?”
Shen Xiaojiang blinked and shook her head. The bartender waited respectfully.
“How about lemon?” Chen Yi asked.
Shen Xiaojiang shook her head again.
Satisfied, Chen Yi said to the bartender, “Two ‘Love Potions’.”
The bartender’s gaze shifted between Chen Yi and Shen Xiaojiang. Understanding dawned on him, and he nodded. Soon, two light blue drinks were pushed in front of them.
Shen Xiaojiang looked at the glass, then at Chen Yi. The older woman held her glass between two fingers the same way she held a cigarette and moved it slowly. Her eyes were downcast, and the dark, phantom lights played over her eyelashes, making her look elegant and noble.
“If you keep staring, you’re going to burn a hole in my face,” Chen Yi said to the glass, though the words were clearly meant for Shen Xiaojiang.
Hearing this, Shen Xiaojiang immediately looked down at her own drink. The scent of mint was potent, possessing a power that cut through the mix of smells in the room. The fragrance swirled around her nose, bringing a brief moment of clarity. Emerald mint leaves floated or were submerged like oases in the sea.
“Shen Xiaojiang!” Chen Yi raised her voice. The color of her pupils behind the mask seemed to change with the shifting lights.
Shen Xiaojiang leaned closer, wanting to be near those eyes. Chen Yi held her glass, her wrist flicked, and the rim met her bright red lips. She tilted her head back, her taut jawline and neck forming a perfect curve. The light blue liquid slid into her mouth and down her throat.
Shen Xiaojiang’s gaze lingered on Chen Yi’s neck. She picked up her own glass and tilted her head back, but hesitated the moment she touched the rim.
At that moment, Chen Yi reached out and lightly tapped the back of Shen Xiaojiang’s hand. Shen Xiaojiang stopped, and their eyes met. Chen Yi tilted her head slightly and curled her lips. “The drinks here are good.”
Shen Xiaojiang felt a rush of heat. She raised her wrist and took a large gulp without a second thought.
The drink tasted unique. At first, it was a bit salty and sweet. When it slid down her throat, it wasn’t spicy at all. But a moment later, a bitterness bloomed in her mouth, spreading into her throat and into her heart. After another moment, a lingering sweetness began to return, mixed with the freshness of mint and lemon.
“How is it?” Chen Yi asked with a smile.
Shen Xiaojiang nodded. “It’s good.”
Chen Yi’s smile deepened as she pushed her glass toward Shen Xiaojiang. Shen Xiaojiang pushed hers back. The sound of clinking glass was completely drowned out by the thundering electronic music. However, as Shen Xiaojiang looked at the lipstick mark on the rim of Chen Yi’s glass, she felt she could hear that crisp, beautiful sound.
They sat and stared at each other for a while until the music paused briefly. The DJ was changing shifts a more dynamic female DJ took over. She had pink hair and was wearing a tube top that showed off her midriff, her hot body moving to the beat.
“Shen Xiaojiang,” Chen Yi called.
“Yes?” Shen Xiaojiang pulled her gaze back.
Chen Yi reached out, twining a lock of Shen Xiaojiang’s hair around her finger. “Shall we… go dance?”
This wasn’t Shen Xiaojiang’s first time drinking, but it was her first time dancing. And it was her first time being invited by a woman. Her heart tightened. She looked at the seductive eyes behind Chen Yi’s mask and those vivid red lips under the lights. Her throat bobbed, and she nodded dumbly.
“Good girl,” Chen Yi said with a smile.
The next second, she gracefully slid off her chair. As she brushed past Shen Xiaojiang, she grabbed her wrist and pulled her off the stool. Simultaneously, she turned and raised an eyebrow at her. It was like a challenge from prey to a hunter reckless, yet incredibly inviting. She successfully ignited a deep interest in the younger “hunter.”
Shen Xiaojiang was led forward passively, but her eyes glittered with a wild, active desire for possession.
The dance floor was packed shoulder to shoulder. Chen Yi’s body was even more provocative than the DJ on stage, drawing countless lecherous gazes. They locked their eyes onto Chen Yi greedily, which made Shen Xiaojiang feel extremely uncomfortable. She gripped Chen Yi’s hand back, pulled her into her arms, and glared fiercely at those who were staring.
They navigated through the crowd and came to a stop in the red light. They were surrounded. With every surge of the music, the atmosphere reached a climax. Shen Xiaojiang began to sway unconsciously. Every cell in her body was soaked in the music; her blood felt like it was boiling.
Suddenly, the surging crowd pushed them apart. Chen Yi mouthed the words “It’s okay.” Seeing this, Shen Xiaojiang continued to dance. There was one person between them not close, but not far.
Soon, the overhead lights turned fiery red. Hot, ambiguous, and restless. Everyone twisting on the dance floor was undergoing a subtle change in body and mind; impulse and tension were fermenting rapidly.
With a sudden turn of her head, Shen Xiaojiang met Chen Yi’s eyes. Quickly, their gazes parted again. The overwhelming waves of sound attacked from all sides, swallowing Shen Xiaojiang like a beast. It exploded inside her, she couldn’t hear her own heartbeat, but she could hear the primitive desire awakening in her soul.
A second later, she looked past the person between them at Chen Yi, who was swaying with her eyes closed. The older woman was so radiant it made Shen Xiaojiang turn her head away sharply. Then, Chen Yi opened her eyes and looked at the turned away Shen Xiaojiang.
A few seconds later, Shen Xiaojiang looked back. Their eyes met again, exploding in the air like brilliant fireworks. They understood each other’s gaze craving each other’s cravings. Amidst the wild dancing, they stopped simultaneously in perfect synchronization.
Suddenly, Shen Xiaojiang reached through the crowd, grabbed Chen Yi, and dominantly pulled her into her space. They stood face to face. The music seemed to fade, and everything around them turned into slow motion. This time, neither looked away they stared directly into each other’s eyes.
Chen Yi was the first to act, cupping Shen Xiaojiang’s face in her hands. Her gaze swept over Shen Xiaojiang’s eyes, lingered for a second, and then dropped to her lips. Her gaze was hazy, her red lips slightly parted. “Is it fun?”
Shen Xiaojiang felt like she might be drunk, her whole body felt like it was on fire. Her face was flushed, as red as the lights. “It’s fun.”
Having said that, she loosely wrapped her arms around Chen Yi. “Can I kiss you?”
“If I said no, would you stop?” Chen Yi’s narrow eyes squinted slightly, tinged with moisture and a burning peach-blossom pink.
Shen Xiaojiang closed her eyes and leaned in, kissing Chen Yi’s lips recklessly. Chen Yi also closed her eyes, letting the other girl’s impulsive energy take over. In the dark, hazy light, all unhappiness was hidden away. Only the exhilaration of dancing to the music remained.
In this moment, they could be bold and wild. They could abandon all beliefs and live only for themselves. They could embrace and love as if no one else existed. They exchanged breaths, letting the intoxicating red light surround them and burn them up, as if tomorrow would never come.
In Chen Yi’s private lounge on the second floor of the bar.
The shadows on the window thinned and then thickened again. During the plum rain season, the weather in Nancheng was unpredictable. Branches swayed in the gale, and every leaf clung on in a final struggle. The sound of rain pitter-pattered loudly, and a leather sofa near the window became soaked.
The room was dim. The cool moonlight spilled in but could not extinguish the fire burning between the two. They moved from place to place, a constant chase of cat and mouse. Sweat soaked their tangled hair, sticking to their pale faces.
Chen Yi was pressed against a wall-to-wall bookshelf by the younger “hunter,” her brows furrowed as tears flowed.
“Shen Xiaojiang… no more.” Her throat hurt, and her voice grew increasingly raspy. As she spoke, she reached out to pull at the younger girl’s hair.
Shen Xiaojiang smiled as she admired her “prey.” A trace of cunning flashed at the corner of her mouth as she forcefully pinned the prey’s hands behind her head. Tears welled up again in Chen Yi’s eyes, which had just been kissed dry.
“Auntie,” Shen Xiaojiang turned her head and bit Chen Yi’s neck.
“Auntie.”
“Auntie, don’t sleep.”
“Auntie, look at me.”
“Auntie, you’re… so beautiful.”
The hunter caught the prey, consuming her over and over, possessing her piece by piece. The hunting was so intense that the black feathers from the dress flew everywhere. The so-called “last time” happened again and again.
Outside, the branches finally snapped under the weight. Leaves trembled and fell as a more violent rainstorm began. The green grass was soaked, and the occasional passerby with an umbrella would find themselves splashed with mud.
Shen Xiaojiang spent the entire night in a damp dream. In that dream, she had once again plucked her moon.
