After Flirting with the God-Tier Beautiful Tycoon - Chapter 55.1
“You know? Then why?” Shen Xiaojiang pouted, pretending to be angry.
Chen Yi ruffled the top of her hair and lay back in her arms. “I just wanted to see you acting nervous over me.”
Shen Xiaojiang didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. “Does it make you happy to see me nervous?”
“Allow me to correct you,” Chen Yi said with mock seriousness. “It’s specifically about being nervous over me, not just any kind of nervousness.”
Shen Xiaojiang let out a huffing laugh and shook her head. “Is it fun?”
“It’s fun.”
“It is not fun.”
“It is, though,” Chen Yi pressed close to Shen Xiaojiang’s neck and gave her a bite neither too light nor too heavy. “It’s extremely fun.”
Shen Xiaojiang looked at Chen Yi sideways and blinked hard. “Since it’s so much fun… should we play again?”
The smile froze on Chen Yi’s face.
Was Shen Xiaojiang trying to break her waist?
She shook her head repeatedly. “Not today.”
“Why not? I still want to.” This time, it was Shen Xiaojiang’s turn to lean into Chen Yi’s neck, kissing and biting.
Whenever she was kissed by Shen Xiaojiang, Chen Yi would immediately go soft, losing all power to resist.
“But… mm… my waist hurts,” she said, her eyes closed.
Shen Xiaojiang didn’t answer her, she simply began to “cultivate the field” even more earnestly.
Another hour passed before the two finally finished cleaning up.
Chen Yi returned to the driver’s seat and glared resentfully at Shen Xiaojiang. “It’s all your fault for letting the rain in. Now I have to wash the car again.”
Shen Xiaojiang fastened her buttons and straightened her hair, feeling a sudden urge to laugh. “You can’t blame it all on me. Was what was in the car really rain, or was it a certain someone’s… water?”
Having said that, she mimicked Chen Yi’s tone, ending with an upward-inflected, “Hmm?”
Chen Yi’s hand suddenly stopped mid-hair fix. Her ears turned slightly red, and her voice trembled. “Shen Xiaojiang, what on earth are you talking about?”
Shen Xiaojiang made a funny face and mimicked her again: “‘Shen Xiaojiang, what on earth are you talking about?'”
After finishing her impression, she chuckled to herself like a fool.
Chen Yi bit her lip, reached out across the center console, and messed up the hair Shen Xiaojiang had just tidied.
Shen Xiaojiang was furious but didn’t dare speak.
Chen Yi habitually took a lipstick out of her bag and unscrewed the cap while looking in the mirror. Shen Xiaojiang propped her elbow on the armrest box and watched her obediently.
Chen Yi: “Does it look good?”
Shen Xiaojiang: “It looks good.”
“Do you want to try?” Chen Yi handed the lipstick to her.
Shen Xiaojiang took it and leaned back, looking completely lost. In all her years, she had never used lipstick.
“What,” Chen Yi mimicked her by propping her elbow on the armrest too. “You don’t know how?”
Shen Xiaojiang didn’t dare lie. After locking eyes with Chen Yi for a second, she nodded shyly. “Actually, I’ve never used lipstick.”
As if she had known all along, Chen Yi took the lipstick back, pinched Shen Xiaojiang’s chin, and pulled her closer. “I’ll teach you.”
Shen Xiaojiang was usually composed, but when faced with something she had never experienced, she couldn’t help being nervous.
As Chen Yi prepared to apply it, she noticed Shen Xiaojiang’s lips were tightly pursed.
“Can you relax a bit? It won’t hurt,” she laughed.
Shen Xiaojiang looked troubled. “I know, but… can you hurry up?”
Chen Yi sighed and used her index finger to stretch Shen Xiaojiang’s lips flat. “Applying lipstick is just like eating.”
“Eating?”
“Yes,” Chen Yi’s gaze fell back to Shen Xiaojiang’s lips, and she spoke unhurriedly. “When you eat, if you go too fast, it’s hard to digest and causes a lot of bad reactions in the stomach. Applying lipstick is the same. If you go too fast, the lip shape will look ugly, the whole makeup will look messy, and it will smudge easily.”
“How is that the same? That’s a stretch.”
“Don’t move.”
Chen Yi looked up and gave her a slight glare. Shen Xiaojiang stopped moving immediately. She waited nervously with her mouth slightly open, as if waiting for a punishment.
“There! All done!” Chen Yi’s tone was cheerful, as if she had completed a grand task.
“Let me see.” Shen Xiaojiang looked in the mirror, turning her head left and right.
Chen Yi watched her with a smile and put the lipstick away. “How is it?”
It was the first time Shen Xiaojiang had seen herself with lipstick. The color wasn’t a true, bright red, but a darker shade with blue undertones that complemented her skin tone perfectly.
It felt a bit foreign and a bit novel. “Hmm… strange.”
Hearing this, Chen Yi looked up. “How is it strange?” She put down the lipstick and, as she spoke, turned Shen Xiaojiang’s chin toward her.
Shen Xiaojiang shrugged and smiled. “Strangely beautiful.”
Chen Yi’s gaze moved from her lips to her eyes. She let out a muffled “Hmph” to suppress a laugh and released her chin. “Boring.”
Then, Chen Yi started the car, preparing to take Shen Xiaojiang back to school.
“Auntie, you’re right. With lipstick and without, it really is different.” Shen Xiaojiang took another look at herself in the mirror.
Chen Yi flipped the turn signal and looked at her through the rearview mirror. “Of course. Even if you didn’t sleep well the night before and your complexion looks terrible the next morning, a single lipstick can fix the problem.”
“Is it really that magical?” Shen Xiaojiang never wore makeup. If she had the time, she would choose to memorize more vocabulary or play with a Rubik’s Cube.
“It really is,” Chen Yi continued without looking at her. “Sometimes when I forget to put on makeup, that’s what I do.”
Shen Xiaojiang was a bit surprised. “Auntie, do you ever have times when you forget to do your makeup?”
She asked because she felt that every time she saw Chen Yi, she looked elegant and exquisite.
The corners of Chen Yi’s mouth curled slightly as she joked, “No.”
In reality, Chen Yi’s “makeup” was often just a simple base and lipstick. After all, her natural features were excellent, and her flawless skin required very little decoration.
Shen Xiaojiang looked down at her phone; the group chat for the “Four Golden Flowers” was blowing up again.
Sun Jiabao: Girls, who understands this? I’m so tired, I can’t look at a book at all…
Liu Wei: [Hand raise.jpg] [Hand raise.jpg] Me too, I can’t focus on anything.
Sun Jiabao: Why does school require exams? Why? [Dog head.jpg]
Liu Wei: Why do humans need school? Why? [Dog head.jpg]
Sun Jiabao: I thought I’d survive the University Entrance Exam, but I never expected to die during college finals. [Pain.jpg]
Liu Wei: Jiabao, you’re wrong. It’s not just finals, it’s also the CET-4 and CET-6 exams!!!
Sun Jiabao: This is ridiculous. Save me! The English exams and finals are in the same month??
Sun Jiabao: Where is everyone else? @Shen Xiaojiang @Chen Xingnan
Sun Jiabao: Wait, where is everyone?
Chen Xingnan was silent.
Shen Xiaojiang saw the messages and began thinking of an excuse for not returning to the dorm.
“What’s wrong?” Chen Yi asked.
Shen Xiaojiang, who was just thinking of an excuse, looked up and realized they were on the elevated highway.
“Auntie, are you sending me back to school?”
Chen Yi gave a soft “Mm.”
“Oh.” A trace of disappointment was hidden in Shen Xiaojiang’s voice.
Chen Yi cleared her throat and reached out to ruffle Shen Xiaojiang’s hair. For some reason, she had really come to enjoy doing that lately.
“You have exams coming up soon, don’t you?” Chen Yi said.
The red light turned on, and the car stopped at the crosswalk. The rain had picked up again columns of water streaked down the windows, blurring the view.
Shen Xiaojiang had no rebuttal. She pulled Chen Yi’s wrist toward her and bit down on the soft part.
Chen Yi didn’t dodge, letting her be willful.
“Does it hurt?” Shen Xiaojiang asked while biting loosely.
Chen Yi turned to look at her, her gaze tender. “It doesn’t hurt.”
As if acting out, Shen Xiaojiang applied a little more pressure and asked indistinctly, “How about now? Does it hurt?”
Chen Yi remained gentle. “It doesn’t hurt.”
Shen Xiaojiang released her hand and pulled out a tissue to wipe away the shallow circle of moisture.
“Boring,” she said, turning her head to look out the window.
Chen Yi knew exactly what Shen Xiaojiang was upset about, she knew the girl wanted to go back to the Xinghui Hotel with her.
As the car started moving again, she said somewhat apologetically, “I have things to deal with later.”
“What things?” Shen Xiaojiang turned her head sharply to look at Chen Yi’s profile.
Chen Yi replied calmly, “Work related things.”
Alright then. Shen Xiaojiang turned back to look out the window. A wave of bitterness rose in her heart.
However, she quickly suppressed it. After all, Chen Yi was busy, she managed a bar on her own and had many relationships to maintain…
Shen Xiaojiang was, above all else, the best at feeling for Chen Yi.
