- Chapter 1 - How to Make the Cub You Raised Kill You with His Own Hands
“Rip!”
The tip of the sword tore through the last piece of intact fabric. Sheng Muxue’s blood-stained silver hair fell down, covering his long, narrow eyes.
Across his pale chest lay several hideous scars; the wounds were still dripping blood. They were fresh.
Both of his hands were locked in chains, hanging from execution pillars on either side.
His clothes were slashed into rags; covering almost nothing except for his private parts, they were essentially destroyed.
“Look at your pathetic state.”
Yun Zheng’s blade tapped against Sheng Muxue’s face, leaving yet another winding scar on that cold, alluring face.
His lips parted, and finally, he muffled two words:
“Master.”
This “Master” held very little emotion.
It was like clouds obscuring the sun, hazy and indistinct, making it impossible to see the hidden feelings deep within his eyes.
Sheng Muxue suddenly let out a low chuckle, his purple pupils reflecting the dense patterns of the Demon-Slaying Array beneath the execution platform. “So, you still remember that I am your Master.”
“I thought you had lost your memories; that would have been excusable.”
Sheng Muxue had blood hanging from the corner of his mouth. Exposed in front of a huge crowd, although he appeared unmoved, he was actually suppressing extreme discomfort and shame.
Even so, he could still calmly look directly at Yun Zheng. “Is this the reward I get for carefully raising you for two hundred years?”
Heaven knows, just last night, Sheng Muxue was still holding Yun Zheng and sleeping soundly.
He never expected that upon waking, this little cub would have dismantled the Demon Realm’s barrier, slaughtered his 108 demon generals and protectors, and even led an army of ten thousand from the Immortal Alliance into the heart of the Demon Realm.
As the Demon Lord, the master of the Demon Realm, he had to fight.
But in the end, two fists are no match for ten thousand hands. He fought against the massive army of immortal cultivators alone for three days and three nights, only to eventually lose.
He was captured.
And then, he was tied to this Sky Execution Platform.
He was to suffer the agony of his heart being gouged out until death.
And the executioner was none other than his good disciple, Yun Zheng.
Seeing that Sheng Muxue was still this unrepentant, Yun Zheng finally erupted.
He gripped Sheng Muxue’s neck tightly and pressed him against the execution pillar, his dark eyes flickering with hidden violence. “Carefully raised? Reward?”
Thud. Sheng Muxue’s head hit the bronze pillar hard, causing his vision to blur.
The Demon-Subduing Array had sealed all the spiritual meridians in his body; he was now no different from an ordinary mortal.
The pain became increasingly clear.
Sheng Muxue frowned, his gaze falling on the fingers Yun Zheng used to choke him.
Those fingers were slender and bony, and on the pinky finger sat a ring carved with cloud patterns.
He was not using much force; he was just resting his hand there, and Sheng Muxue could clearly feel the heat of his palm against his Adam’s apple.
It was still the same.
Yun Zheng’s body temperature was always scorching, bringing endless warmth to the cold demon cave.
Sheng Muxue’s constitution was very sensitive to the cold.
That was why he liked to hug Yun Zheng while he slept, and he had been doing so for two hundred years.
But it was only for sleeping; they had never done anything else.
They had not even taken their clothes off.
He had purely treated Yun Zheng as an electric blanket, a hot water bottle.
Even though Yun Zheng looked handsome and had a great physique.
Originally, he thought he could continue this master-disciple relationship with Yun Zheng forever, but he never expected this little cub to suddenly go mad.
The reason was unknown. It could not just be the cliché of “love that cannot be attained,” right?
Hmm. It was possible.
Quite likely, actually.
Sheng Muxue had read a lot of forced-love literature, and at this moment, he felt absolutely certain of the answer in his heart.
After all, he was a transmigrator, and as everyone knows, “Master” is a high-risk profession.
Sheng Muxue continued to stare straight into Yun Zheng’s eyes, a trace of mockery hanging on the corner of his mouth. “You could not just confess if you liked me? You should know me by now; I detest betrayal.”
Yun Zheng was provoked to the limit by Sheng Muxue’s attitude. He pressed his dark armor against Sheng Muxue’s exposed chest and shouted hoarsely: “Demon fiend!”
Veins bulged on the back of his hand.
“You have humiliated me for so many years! Finally, I have caught you, and I will return all my suffering to you!”
Humiliation?
This word stunned Sheng Muxue for a moment.
Could it be?
Before Sheng Muxue could ponder further, Yun Zheng gave him the answer.
“On a rainy night two hundred years ago, my entire village was slaughtered by you. You killed my biological parents and tricked me into following you back to the Demon Realm.”
“You kept me by your side and took me as a disciple; on the surface, you raised me with care, but in reality, it was only to humiliate and torment me.”
“Not only did you beat and abuse me daily, but you also made me kneel and serve you in bed every night. Once you had your fun, you would kick me away.”
“If it were not for this intense hatred, I would not be alive today.”
“And I certainly would not have survived until now.”
Yun Zheng suddenly loosened his grip on Sheng Muxue’s neck, instead grabbing his silver hair and pulling his head up forcefully, forcing him to meet his gaze. “Now! To be able to kill my enemy with my own hands!”
As Yun Zheng finished speaking, the bright, clear sky was suddenly torn apart. The gray clouds rolling on the horizon looked like ink splashed into clean water, quickly dyeing the entire sky.
The bottom of the clouds glowed with a leaden color, while the edges were wrapped in a pale, sickly light, like torn cotton rolling in a gale. In the blink of an eye, the azure dome was devoured, leaving only a narrow sliver.
It was June.
It was likely about to pour down with heavy rain.
As the surroundings darkened, Sheng Muxue endured the sharp pain of his scalp being pulled and suddenly understood everything.
He summoned the system in his sea of consciousness. “System, what is going on?”
This was not a question; he simply wanted the system to give an explanation.
After the system came online, it said weakly, “Um… Host, please calm down. It really was not me… sob.”
As a transmigration system, it should have been guiding the host to complete tasks, but in front of Sheng Muxue, it did not even dare to breathe heavily.
Because Sheng Muxue truly did not put it in his eyes and would frequently lock it in the “dark room” whenever it dared to say one wrong word.
Deep down, the system was a bit afraid of Sheng Muxue. Afraid that he would curse it in the next second, it hurriedly explained, “It is the Main System!”
“The Main System saw that you had taken the villain’s script but were not following the plot. You were supposed to abuse the protagonist to stimulate his growth, but instead, you took him as a disciple and raised him, so…”
“So what?” Sheng Muxue’s voice grew colder. If the system were human, it would probably have frostbite by now.
“So, it corrected the plot.”
The system’s explanation matched what Sheng Muxue was currently thinking.
Because although he had never done the evil deeds Yun Zheng mentioned, they were exactly identical to the plot of the original book.
“So, is he experiencing amnesia now?”
“Not exactly amnesia. It should be that he has entered a parallel world. Because of the Main System’s correction, the world you are currently in is no longer the world you stayed in for two hundred years after transmigrating.”
“It is a corrected world where the original body was guilty of many crimes.”
“Therefore, everything you did before, including raising the protagonist and giving him love… has been erased by the Main System, leaving only the part in the plot where you abused him.”
After listening to the system’s explanation, Sheng Muxue did not panic at all.
The result was the same anyway.
As long as the final ending was the great villain Demon Lord dying at the hands of the protagonist, Yun Zheng, he would be able to successfully “die and transmigrate” back to his original world.
Sheng Muxue truly did not want to follow the idiotic plot of abusing the protagonist. He just wanted to raise the protagonist well and then find a reason for him to kill him.
He was not the type of person who would listen to orders; on the contrary, he was very rebellious.
For every 120 pounds of his body weight, 210 pounds were made of rebellion.
Since the plot had been corrected, he would just act according to the original script.
It even saved him from wracking his brains to think about how to make the cub he raised kill him with his own hands.
