After Failing to Reverse the Plot, I Made My Escape - Chapter 16
“Be good, baby.”
Yu Fuqiu did not look at Ke Qi’an again. He simply accepted the ointment, gave a slight nod, and thanked him with a smile.
“I hope you can make something of yourself, right, ‘Little Yu Fuqiu’?”
His long hair fell loosely, and stray strands lifted to brush against Ke Qi’an’s cheek. Ke Qi’an bit his lip, unable to let his anger show at that moment.
“Thank you for the guidance, Teacher Yu.”
The moment Yu Fuqiu sat in the car, his expression instantly turned cold. His arms trembled as he wrapped them tightly around himself, desperately biting his lip to keep from making a single sound.
It was really happening.
The plot was truly beginning.
Yu Fuqiu suddenly realized that when he first picked up Chang Tingzhi and brought him home, he actually had his own selfish motives. During their time together, those thoughts had only grown stronger.
He wanted to replace the protagonist and be the one by Chang Tingzhi’s side.
Fifteen years had passed, and just as Yu Fuqiu was starting to forget.
The moment Ke Qi’an appeared and his gaze uncontrollably drifted toward him, Yu Fuqiu understood. As it turned out, Ke Qi’an was the true protagonist.
He suddenly began to shake, tilting his head back to look at the road he had traveled countless times before.
Chang Tingzhi’s corporate headquarters stood in the most prosperous district of the city. The cold glass curtain walls reflected the urban bustle while isolating the warmth of human emotion.
Yu Fuqiu stood in the vast lobby on the first floor. The smooth, mirror-like marble floor reflected his somewhat thin figure. The air was filled with expensive fragrance and the faint hum of the central air conditioning system.
His tense nerves gradually relaxed upon seeing the familiar layout. Habitually, he walked toward the private elevator that required specific clearance to reach the top floor.
It only recognized his and Chang Tingzhi’s fingerprints and facial IDs.
However, when he stood in front of the elevator sensor area as usual, the elevator did not react. Yu Fuqiu froze for a moment, frowning slightly, thinking he might have stood in the wrong spot.
He tried again, but it was the same. The screen only displayed a line of cold red text: [Invalid Permissions].
Perhaps the harsh sound was too conspicuous in the lobby, as the receptionist walked over quickly. She paused briefly when she saw Yu Fuqiu but recovered her composure fast. “I’m sorry, Mr. Yu, do you have an appointment?”
Yu Fuqiu was silent for a moment before shaking his head.
When he came here, he never needed an appointment.
The receptionist’s smile remained unchanged, her voice still sweet. “I am sorry. Without an appointment, unless Mr. Chang has given instructions, I cannot let you go up, nor can I arrange a meeting with him. Mr. Chang’s schedule is very full today. You can wait in the lobby area, or if you have an urgent matter, you can register here first. I will report it for you and wait for the secretariat to contact you to confirm a specific time.”
Report it?
Wait for confirmation?
Yu Fuqiu stood alone in the empty lobby, looking exceptionally lonely. He stood there like an insignificant commodity that required layers of approval.
He looked at the closed, cold elevator, then at the receptionist who had already returned to her work, and ultimately said nothing.
He did not argue, he did not try to call the familiar number that had already become a dead line, and he did not reveal his meaningless status as Mrs. Chang.
He only nodded slightly, his throat a bit dry, and whispered, “It is okay.”
Then, he silently turned and walked toward the public lounge area in the corner of the lobby.
His back remained habitually straight, but his gaze fell blankly out the window.
His eyes unconsciously drifted through the massive floor-to-ceiling windows toward the trees outside the company. At some point, the sky had turned gloomy, and a fine drizzle began to fall, shrouding the large trees in a damp mist.
Just then, his gaze was drawn to a boy under a tree.
Under the tree stood a young boy wearing a simple white T-shirt and jeans. He looked like an intern at the company, still carrying a trace of youthful innocence.
He clutched a floral umbrella in his arms that was clearly meant for a woman, while most of his own body was exposed to the increasing rain. The fabric on his shoulders had noticeably darkened from the water.
He kept standing on his tiptoes to look toward the office building exit, his eyes filled with anticipation and a hint of undetectable nervousness.
After a while, a young girl in a professional suit came running out of the side door. Seeing the boy, her face immediately broke into a smile that was both scolding and sweet.
The boy’s eyes lit up instantly, as if he were looking at the most precious treasure in the world. He stepped forward quickly, holding the umbrella high and tilting it almost entirely over the girl’s head. He protected her carefully, completely unbothered by the rain soaking his other shoulder.
The girl turned her head to say something to him, seemingly blaming him for being silly and not hiding from the rain. The boy just scratched his head and laughed foolishly. Side by side, the two slowly walked into the hazy rain toward the employee cafeteria.
It was a simple, ordinary, even somewhat green scene.
Once upon a time, Chang Tingzhi was just like that.
Before he became famous, when he was running between various film sets to play minor roles for their livelihood, Chang Tingzhi would always stand at the door of that dilapidated little house. He would stand on his tiptoes and look into the distance, waiting for his return.
But there was one time when his phone was almost out of battery. It was pouring rain outside the set, and it was quite a distance from home.
Yu Fuqiu looked at the balance on his phone and was silent for a long time. In the end, he could not bear the cost of a taxi and planned to walk back once the rain subsided.
One by one, his colleagues were picked up by their families or disappeared into the rain in their cars. The parking lot outside the set quickly became empty. Finally, only Yu Fuqiu was left standing under the eaves, watching the storm that showed no sign of weakening.
The cold rain splashed against his pant legs, bringing a bone-chilling cold.
He pressed his pale lips together, thinking in his heart: Maybe… I should just go back to the corner of the storage room where the set equipment is kept? There seemed to be an old, small blanket that someone had left behind. Curling up there might allow him to barely survive the cold night.
Just as he was about to turn back, shivering with the damp cold—
A sudden sound of hurried footsteps breaking through the rain, mixed with a youth’s characteristic shouting filled with gasping and anxiety, seemed to pierce through the barriers of time and space and crashed into his ears.
“Qiuqiu!”
Yu Fuqiu turned abruptly. Seventeen-year-old Chang Tingzhi was clutching an umbrella tightly. The cold rain had poured into his chest, and his thin school uniform was already soaked through, clinging to his body. It was freezing, and his shoes were covered in mud. Chang Tingzhi had walked those dozens of kilometers, trudging through the mud step by step.
His throat was so hoarse he could barely make a sound, and his face was a blur of rain and tears.
“Qiuqiu, why… don’t you go home?”
His eyes were deep and dark, like a black hole ready to swallow Yu Fuqiu whole. His expression was volatile. “Do you want to leave me?” he asked softly.
As soon as he spoke, Yu Fuqiu pulled him into an embrace. “The rain is so heavy outside, you—”
Chang Tingzhi’s eyes gradually cleared. He buried his face in the crook of Yu Fuqiu’s neck, his voice hoarse and broken, filled with lingering fear and sobs. “Qiuqiu, I found you. Don’t leave me, don’t leave me behind. I will be very good, I will listen to everything you say. I finished all the carrots and green peppers, but you still hadn’t come home. I was so scared.”
“I am sorry. It was raining too hard outside, and my phone ran out of battery.”
Yu Fuqiu felt his collar being dampened by the youth’s tears. His heart turned to water, and he patted Chang Tingzhi’s shoulder soothingly. “Be good, be good. I… Papa is here, I won’t leave you.”
Hearing that word, Chang Tingzhi curled his lips slightly, but the next second his tears fell again as he grabbed Yu Fuqiu’s shirt. “Papa, you are not allowed to leave me again.”
That night, they curled up in the small storage room and slept in each other’s arms. Yu Fuqiu slept very deeply, not realizing that the youth who should have been asleep had quietly opened his eyes.
The beauty was sleeping peacefully. Moonlight filtered through the tiny cracks, casting its glow on that fair skin. His long, curled eyelashes trembled slightly with his breath, like a fluttering butterfly.
Those crimson lips were slightly parted, and one could vaguely see the small, pink tongue lying quietly inside. Chang Tingzhi’s eyes darkened. With one hand, he crossed Yu Fuqiu’s wrists and pinned them above his head, using his other hand to undo his clothes.
The cold air touched his skin, and in Chang Tingzhi’s gaze, his body reacted. He swallowed hard and cursed in a low voice, “As expected of a body made for desire, you can seduce me even in this state.”
“Why did you have to talk to Qin Chu today?! Could you not see what he was thinking? You even leaned in close to him. Don’t you know how enticing you are?!”
Chang Tingzhi’s tone was steeped in suppressed anger, and he bit down hard on Yu Fuqiu’s neck.
He bit one side of the neck, feeling the warm pulse beneath his tongue. He gently licked over the tooth mark—this was Yu Fuqiu’s most sensitive spot.
Yu Fuqiu unconsciously turned his head, a broken moan escaping his throat, and his legs curled slightly.
Chang Tingzhi chuckled low, his knee lightly pressing against those restless legs while one hand pinned his thigh.
The fabric creased between his fingers, and the skin beneath flushed a light red. He raised his hand and slapped that patch of skin twice.
“Disobedient again.”
“Not good.”
Slap.
“Seducing others while I am not around.”
Slap.
“Still stubborn and won’t admit it!”
He pressed against Yu Fuqiu’s lower abdomen, a heavy scent permeating through the thin fabric.
He gathered Yu Fuqiu’s legs over his forearms and lifted him entirely, pinning him against the cold wall. Yu Fuqiu’s head hung low as he made faint whimpering sounds.
“If you didn’t sway your hips to seduce people, why would they suddenly embrace you for no reason?”
The beauty slept on quietly, those gorgeous eyes closed, but this only fueled the anger in Chang Tingzhi’s heart. He bit those pink lips harshly, continuously rubbing against the thin clothing, making sticky sounds.
“Mmh.”
Yu Fuqiu was forced to tilt his head back, forced to accept Chang Tingzhi’s invasion.
His teeth were pried open, and Chang Tingzhi’s tongue wrapped around his quiet, soft tongue. They entangled, and not a single part of his mouth was spared, until even the root of his tongue began to ache.
Yu Fuqiu instinctively reached out to wrap his arms around Chang Tingzhi, wanting to escape the suffocating kiss.
But the next second, in his sleep, he instinctively let out a soft, delicate gasp.
Chang Tingzhi squeezed the soft flesh in his hand harshly and pried open his teeth once more to exchange breaths.
The face that was usually gentle and dignified was now entirely covered in the marks of desire. Beads of sweat with a sweet fragrance slid from his forehead, dripping onto their tangled tongues.
Yu Fuqiu’s mouth hung weakly open as he panted lightly like a fragile little beast. At this moment, his clothes were half-undone, his trousers lay in a heap on the floor, and he was being held and pressed between Chang Tingzhi’s embrace and the wall.
His ankles were delicate, and his round toes were tinged with pink, curling slightly. A faint whimpering sound came from his throat.
Chang Tingzhi did not stop. After finally releasing the swollen, kissed lips, he moved slowly down from the neck, leaving his marks everywhere.
“Qiuqiu.”
“Qiuqiu.”
“My Qiuqiu.”
“You are mine.”
“Don’t even dream of escaping.”
Amidst the sound of the thunderstorm, he let out a low, long growl.
The sleeping beauty was covered in purple kiss marks. The undone clothes and fair skin were completely covered in cloudy traces.
Chang Tingzhi’s eyes were filled with love as he lightly bit his ear. “What should I do? I just finished once at home using your clothes, and yet you won’t even stay still while you are asleep, hm?”
His gaze swept over the lower abdomen, his expression dark and unreadable.
His long fingertips traced circles on the skin, feeling the person beneath him shudder and let out a faint whimper.
He laughed softly.
“Qiuqiu.”
His fingertips lightly brushed against his cheek; the touch was warm and soft.
The image of Yu Fuqiu clutching his stomach, eyes red as he grabbed his shirt and pleaded, surfaced in his mind.
At the thought of that image, Chang Tingzhi took a deep breath to suppress the restlessness in his heart.
He leaned down and left a kiss on Yu Fuqiu’s forehead.
“Be good, baby.”
