After Entering a Contract Marriage with a Disabled Alpha - Chapter 48
“Didn’t I tell you not to come in?”
“Do you even understand the concept of coming in here to stay with me?”
Qin Shen’s voice was low and raspy. He buried his face in the youth’s neck, inhaling and kissing the rose pheromones on Pei Yu’s skin with desperate hunger. His tall nose brushed against the fair skin, sending waves of strange, itchy sensations through Pei Yu.
From his lying position, Pei Yu’s bathrobe collar had fallen open. He caught a glimpse of himself; the small arcs of pale pink had turned into a bruised rose-red. It stung, a burning pain that felt as if the skin had been rubbed raw.
Just that one blurred glance made him feel like dying of shame. He stared at Qin Shen’s sharp, thin lips, inwardly grumbling at the culprit with a mix of embarrassment and annoyance.
He bit me until it hurt.
Though… it wasn’t entirely just pain.
His back had long since been soaked. Qin Shen’s limbs were long and powerful; as he loomed over Pei Yu, he easily imprisoned him, leaving no way for escape.
“Why aren’t you answering me?” Qin Shen’s throat felt itchy, and he bit down on the youth’s earlobe.
Pei Yu’s eyelashes trembled. Ignoring Qin Shen’s burning gaze, he stammered, “Didn’t you tell me before that you wanted me to stay with you through your rut?”
“Is it only because I requested it?” Qin Shen narrowed his eyes, a dangerous signal flickering in his pupils.
It seemed that if Pei Yu’s answer failed to please him… there would be consequences to suffer.
Qin Shen’s weight was still mostly pressed against Pei Yu. His left arm was bent, resting right next to Pei Yu’s left ear. His cold, pale hand slowly pushed Pei Yu’s collar further open, his coarse thumb grinding against the Omega’s snowy-white neck. His fingertips occasionally brushed over the fragile and sensitive Adam’s apple, causing Pei Yu’s breath to hitch.
Deliberately ignoring the deep-seated fear of the Alpha within him, Pei Yu’s gaze turned firm. “It’s not just… because you requested it before.”
Qin Shen’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He was struggling to suppress the violent emotions of his rut; the veins on his forehead and the side of his neck throbbed with terrifying clarity.
“It’s also because…”
Pei Yu paused. He looked earnestly at Qin Shen, his face heating up as he said, “Because we’re already engaged.”
“Engaged?”
Qin Shen’s voice was hoarse, his speech extremely slow as if he were exerting maximum self-control. This answer didn’t seem to fully satisfy him in his current state.
Pei Yu keenly noticed the man’s eyes suddenly flare a brilliant crimson. His half-lidded eyes were full of predatory aggression.
“Because I like you,” Pei Yu added hurriedly. “I like you, so I couldn’t bear to let you be in pain alone. I want to stay with you through your rut.”
After the words fell, Qin Shen savored the answer. Finally, he seemed satisfied. He retracted the chilling, sharp edge of his pheromones. The enclosed bathroom didn’t feel quite as cold as it had at the start.
“Then baby isn’t allowed to regret it.” Qin Shen gripped Pei Yu’s wrist and kissed the back of his fair, delicate hand. “Even if you wanted to regret it, you won’t have the chance.” Qin Shen spoke in a low tone, emphasizing every single word.
Pei Yu’s face flushed. He parted his lips to say he would never regret it, but the chance was snatched away. His lips were captured by Qin Shen’s, engulfed in warmth.
Qin Shen leaned down, kissing him in a tormenting manner that alternated between light nibbles and heavy pressure. In the bathroom, aside from the faint sound of running water, only the sound of their ambiguous, lingering kiss remained.
It didn’t stop at just a shallow taste. Qin Shen kissed him more turbulently than ever before, insatiably drinking in the sweetness from Pei Yu’s mouth. It was as if it were their last kiss—a savage display as if he wanted to tear Pei Yu apart and consume him whole. He couldn’t get enough.
Hearing the sweet, soft moans escaping Pei Yu, Qin Shen’s heart felt flooded with heat. Even the freezing pheromones on his body were baked warm.
“Qin… Qin Shen…”
Pei Yu made intermittent sounds, but every time his lips parted even a fraction, they were firmly blocked by Qin Shen. His tongue was toyed with wantonly, and his oxygen was completely plundered. Pei Yu gradually lost himself, his light-brown eyes shimmering with moisture.
He thought this was already more than he could handle. But when Qin Shen finally let him go, Pei Yu didn’t get a second of relief before a trail of kisses began to rain down his body.
When those lips brushed against his soft abdomen, a wave of numbness spread across his spine. Pei Yu’s eyes widened, and he curled his fingertips in shame, his face glowing red. Realizing things were about to escalate, Pei Yu felt a sense of impending doom and quickly grabbed the man’s hair.
“Sss—” The sudden tug of pain caused Qin Shen to let out a muffled groan.
He massaged Pei Yu’s waist with force, deliberately lowering his voice. Every word he spoke dripped with raw aggression.
“Playing with me?”
He was completely different from his usual cold and noble self. Under the influence of the rut and disordered pheromones, the current Qin Shen was merely an Alpha whose mind was screaming to satisfy his own desires.
“N-no.” Pei Yu’s heart was racing. Meeting Qin Shen’s pitch-black eyes, he swallowed hard. “How would I dare play with you…”
He hesitated for a few seconds. To avoid provoking the hypersensitive and over-excited Qin Shen, Pei Yu licked his dry lips and murmured: “How would I dare play with my hubby?”
Under the glowing white light, the crimson-cheeked, obedient-looking Omega did a great deal to soothe Qin Shen’s surging irritability and gloom. Pei Yu’s voice was so soft and sweet that it made Qin Shen’s heart itch.
“Then let’s continue…” Qin Shen said, preparing to kiss every inch of his “little rose.”
Because of his legs, even though Qin Shen’s propped-up arms took some of the weight, his long legs still lay weakly draped over Pei Yu’s body—everything below the waist was the same. No one knew Qin Shen’s simmering, surging heat better than Pei Yu.
In the midst of unprecedented, overwhelming embarrassment, Pei Yu tried his best to ignore the Alpha’s powerful, burning presence.
“Hubby!” Pei Yu tugged at Qin Shen’s bathrobe.
Qin Shen, who was leaning down to kiss the little rose, paused. He let go of the youth’s slender waist and lifted his head, asking questioningly, “What is it?”
Pei Yu feigned a look of intense pain, his light-brown eyes brimming with tears. “My back hurts so much, it was hit too hard just now.”
Sure enough, hearing that his beloved Omega was hurt, Qin Shen had no choice but to stop the kiss. He remembered that a few minutes ago, he had indeed dragged Pei Yu over and rudely pinned him against the cold tiles.
Qin Shen fell silent for a few seconds, hearing Pei Yu mention the pain in his back again. His deep love for Pei Yu took over; he propped himself up to sit on the floor beside him and pulled Pei Yu up.
Before Pei Yu could react, a large hand clamped around his waist. With a surge of strength at his waist.
He sat on Qin Shen’s lap, his back turned toward him.
“Let me see if it’s serious,” Qin Shen said huskily.
Though he felt a sliver of restraint in his desire to be close to the Omega—knowing he couldn’t kiss the little rose until he was soaked—settling for second best by staying pressed tight against him was a fine choice.
Sitting with his back to Qin Shen, Pei Yu’s spine was flush against the man’s burning chest. Other parts of them were exceptionally close as well.
Feeling the surging, turbulent thoughts Qin Shen had for him, Pei Yu’s breath hitched, and his heart skipped a beat. He had read online that during a rut, an Alpha’s instinct for dominant possession over an Omega becomes overwhelming. Not to mention, he and Qin Shen had a 100% compatibility rating.
If he wasn’t careful, things could very likely progress to the final step.
The thing was, Pei Yu actually felt a bit unprepared. He looked down at his hands, which were braced against Qin Shen’s knees. If only it were as simple as using his hands. After all, it wasn’t like he hadn’t helped Qin Shen that way before the process was roughly the same but if that wasn’t enough to satisfy Qin Shen, he might have to pitifully endure whatever came next.
While lost in thought, he felt a sudden chill on his shoulders; the loose bathrobe was pulled down by Qin Shen. At the thought of Qin Shen staring at his bare back, Pei Yu’s face flushed.
“I feel like the left shoulder blade hurts a bit more,” Pei Yu said softly. “Is the left side injured?”
“No,” Qin Shen grunted in denial.
Pei Yu: “Huh?” It shouldn’t be; it definitely hurt.
“Both sides are bruised, but the left side hit harder,” guilt flashed in Qin Shen’s eyes. “I’m sorry. I didn’t control my emotions just now.”
With the little rose sitting on him, the Omega’s soft, warm pheromones melted into the Alpha’s skin, striving to help Qin Shen calm his violent state of mind. In previous years, Qin Shen could never control the negative urge to destroy things during his rut. But now, for the first time, he only felt a restless irritation, and…
He looked down at the snowy-white, smooth Omega gland on the back of Pei Yu’s neck. He wanted to bite it so badly. He wanted to use his sharp teeth to gnaw on it, injecting his pheromones into the Omega’s blood, leaving a teeth mark on that gland to declare him as his own property.
And… he wanted to inject something even more concentrated than the pheromones in his blood into the youth’s body.
Qin Shen’s gaze darkened, and his sharp teeth began to itch. Every cell in his body was screaming: Bite him now.
But as his gaze brushed over the purplish bruise on Pei Yu’s shoulder blade, distress and remorse regained the upper hand.
“Does it hurt much?” Qin Shen’s voice sounded like it was laced with sand.
“It’s not that bad, just a little—ungh!” Pei Yu’s eyes flew wide.
Turning his head, he saw that Qin Shen had leaned down and kissed his bruise. Pei Yu’s face instantly turned a floral red, and he hurried to tell Qin Shen not to do that.
“Let’s go out and apply medicine first.” Qin Shen righted the overturned wheelchair with one hand. With Pei Yu’s help, he sat back in it.
Pei Yu happened to glance down at him. He froze. Qin Shen’s current state looked exactly like his own after drinking that “spiked” orange juice. Surely… it wouldn’t break, would it?
Back in the Room
Once back in the room, Qin Shen found the first-aid kit kept in the suite. Neither had the presence of mind to worry about their soaked bathrobes. Qin Shen took out some safflower oil and told Pei Yu to lie face down on the pillow.
Pei Yu glanced at Qin Shen again; seeing that the man himself didn’t seem to care, he felt too embarrassed to ask.
“Just like before, pull the bathrobe down a bit so I can apply the medicine.” Qin Shen moved onto the bed, unscrewed the cap of the safflower oil, poured some into his palm, and rubbed his hands together to warm it.
With a hot face, Pei Yu awkwardly pulled the robe down slightly and lay there, comfortably prepared to receive Qin Shen’s massage. A burning, oily palm pressed down on his shoulder blade, applying heavy pressure to rub the bruise away.
The pain made Pei Yu tilt his chin up, and he let out a couple of aggrieved cries: “Qin Shen… press lighter, you’re making it hurt so much.”
Qin Shen’s hand paused: “…”
Ignoring any unintended double meanings, Qin Shen continued the massage. The bruises on the snowy-white back were slowly rubbed out. Once he got used to the pressure, Pei Yu found it quite comfortable, and soft moans began to slip from his lips.
Qin Shen swallowed hard, finally unable to stop himself from speaking up: “It’s just applying medicine. Don’t make those sounds to seduce me.”
“…” “…”
Pei Yu looked at Qin Shen in disbelief, shocked by the man’s attempt to shift the blame. He was about to retort, but seeing the dark silhouette beneath Qin Shen’s bathrobe, he didn’t dare make a sound.
“Fine. I’ll hold it in and won’t make a sound.” Pei Yu blinked.
Qin Shen murmured, “Mm.”
Just as the safflower oil was nearly finished, Qin Shen intended to help Pei Yu pull his clothes back up. But as his gaze caught a glimpse of a smooth, rounded curve, his throat suddenly went dry.
As if possessed, or perhaps bewitched, Qin Shen’s head felt heavy as he reached out and grabbed the hem of Pei Yu’s robe instead.
Pei Yu, completely oblivious, was still lying on the pillow. He was just about to get up and ask Qin Shen to bite his neck for a temporary mark to soothe the Alpha’s irritability. He figured he’d also offer a “helping hand” to make Qin Shen more comfortable, lest he hurt himself by holding it in.
Before he could even speak, he felt a sudden chill from the cold air.
Pei Yu was utterly dumbfounded. He turned his head only to see Qin Shen’s palms, still coated in safflower oil, reaching toward him again.
Instantly— A dense numbness spread across his spine. Pei Yu was rubbed so thoroughly that half his bones felt like they had turned to jelly.
“Qin Shen, what are you doing?” Pei Yu tried to stand up and flee from the incredibly embarrassing scene.
However, his slender, white ankles were firmly clamped by Qin Shen.
“Ugh.” After being squeezed several more times, Pei Yu’s hands flailed helplessly, and a crimson flush spread from his cheeks all the way down to his collarbone.
Pei Yu sobbed and scolded him: “Let me go right now!!!”
Crimson flickered within Qin Shen’s pitch-black eyes. His voice grew increasingly hoarse: “It looks like you fell here, too. I’m rubbing it for you so I don’t waste the oil left on my palms.”
Pei Yu’s face was scorching as he shouted: “My back only hurts! Just my back!”
“Why would only your back hurt?”
Qin Shen’s gaze darkened. Unable to suppress his ulterior motives, he followed Pei Yu’s words and gave a light slap to “prove” his point.
“Just because you have the most meat here?”
Hearing the sound of the slap, Pei Yu’s face felt like it was on fire. He yelled out in a fit of rage: “You perverted Alpha, let go of me!”
