After Entering a Contract Marriage with a Disabled Alpha - Chapter 46
The passionate kiss ended quickly.
Concerned that standing for such a long duration would be too taxing for Qin Shen, Pei Yu pulled away from the heart-racing kiss sooner than he might have otherwise. He wrapped his arms around the man’s waist and motioned for Grandpa to push the wheelchair back.
As he helped Qin Shen sit back down, he noticed the thin sweat had already soaked through Qin Shen’s shirt. The damp, translucent fabric clung to his chest, emphasizing the thick, firm lines of the Alpha’s pectoral muscles. Pei Yu caught a whiff of the cedar and mint pheromones, which had grown even more intense.
He loved that scent.
However, at the thought that Qin Shen had sweated so much due to pain, a flicker of distress crossed his eyes. He bent down to gently massage Qin Shen’s legs; Pei Yu truly didn’t have the spare energy to worry about what the guests might think of his actions.
Leaning down to press a soft kiss on Qin Shen’s cheek, Pei Yu said, “Let me massage them a bit more for you.”
His wrist was caught. Qin Shen’s thumb rubbed against the youth’s delicate wrist bone as he murmured raspily, “Thank you, baby.”
Pei Yu blinked, the tips of his ears flushing red. He looked at the diamond rings on their hands; the style was simple and clean, yet the design was extraordinary, the facets reflecting a brilliant luster.
“It’s beautiful. I like it very much.” Pei Yu raised the back of his hand and gave it a little wiggle.
A faint smile touched Qin Shen’s lips. “I’m glad you like it. When I was picking this style, I was worried you might not.”
“I like everything you give me.” Pei Yu looked up at him, his clear eyes brimming with tender affection. He leaned in slowly and gave Qin Shen’s thin lips another peck.
“When did my baby learn how to coax people?” Qin Shen ruffled his hair, his eyes overflowing with gentleness.
Pei Yu rolled his eyes playfully. “Did I? I guess I’m just naturally gifted.”
Grandpa Qin watched this heartwarming scene, his eyes clouding with a mist of emotion. Seeing the two children being so considerate of one another, he could finally set his heart at ease. He turned around to carefully put away the engagement contract, intending to take it home and frame it for preservation.
The guests also snapped out of their shock. Qin Shuo lowered his voice and slowly announced: “—The ceremony is complete!”
Endless applause broke out. Waiters began to serve exquisitely plated delicacies one after another.
“Waaa, this is truly wonderful!” Zhou Yue, wearing light makeup, felt her nose tingle with emotion.
Heaven knows how moved she was seeing how much Pei Yu and Qin Shen loved each other; she couldn’t even worry about her eye makeup as her almond-shaped eyes instantly reddened. “I heard rumors before and was worried that Pei Yu marrying into the family so young would lead to a miserable life. I didn’t expect your brother to be so good to him.”
Whether it was sincere affection or just a show for the public, Zhou Yue could tell the difference.
Qin Yiyang let out a loud laugh. “I never noticed you had such a sentimental side before.”
Zhou Yue: “This isn’t called being ‘sentimental’; it’s called being sincere!”
“Actually, it’s normal. After all, my brother and Pei Yu have a 100% compatibility rate,” Qin Yiyang said. “To a certain extent, compatibility shows how well two people fit together.”
Zhou Yue sniffled. “True. They are a match made in heaven, a pair created by the gods!”
Hearing this, Su Yan, who was chewing on some food, paused. He looked up with a faint, calm smile. “I think so too. A high compatibility rate is definitely more reliable.”
Zhou Yue and Qin Yiyang were about to reply when they suddenly remembered Su Yan’s past. They shared a silent glance, not daring to say anything that might trigger him. After all…
“Why are you making those faces?” Su Yan said softly. “As for that ‘scumbag Alpha,’ I stopped caring a long time ago.”
Qin Yiyang picked up a fried shrimp ball and placed it in Su Yan’s bowl. “It’s good that you think that way. Even if compatibility is low, it’s no excuse for a scumbag to cheat. That kind of person will definitely cheat again in the future!”
Su Yan smiled and took a bite of the golden, crispy shrimp ball. “Yeah.”
Once the engagement flow ended, the couple didn’t stay to eat immediately. They headed back to the lounge together, as Pei Yu wanted Qin Shen to get some proper rest. The lounge was spacious, featuring a bed and a sofa in a European palace style—low-key yet luxurious.
“Sit on the sofa and rest for a bit.”
Pei Yu patiently instructed Qin Shen. “Are you hungry? Do you want me to go out and get you something to eat?”
Qin Shen’s lips were pulled into a tight line, a trace of helplessness flickering in his eyes. Pei Yu was taking such meticulous care of him that it seemed his concern was a bit overboard; the time he spent standing just now wasn’t even as long as his usual physical therapy sessions.
However, at the thought that Pei Yu was like this because he was worried and loved him, the corners of Qin Shen’s mouth curled up unconsciously. He could never love him enough; he wished he could offer him the best of everything.
“I am a bit hungry.”
Qin Shen sat on the sofa with his legs slightly apart, looking poised. He curled his lips, a half-smile playing in his dark eyes.
“Then I’ll go outside and get some food.” Just as Pei Yu turned to leave, a force that was by no means light pulled him back.
The world spun.
A crisp scent of pheromones hit his nose, and his back met the fabric of the sofa. He was pinned down by Qin Shen, his nose pressed against the man’s Adam’s apple. With every breath, he could clearly feel the accelerated thumping of Qin Shen’s heart.
Pei Yu blinked. “…?”
“I really am a bit hungry.” Qin Shen’s lips pressed close. His low, husky voice was seductive, rubbing against the tip of Pei Yu’s ear like coarse velvet. “But it’s not my stomach that’s hungry…”
As Qin Shen spoke, his warm breath sprayed all over the side of Pei Yu’s neck. Heat swept through him, causing Pei Yu’s long eyelashes to tremble.
Pei Yu’s heart tightened slightly. He parted his lips and said in a shaky but trying-to-be-normal voice, “Don’t press down on me, get off… Ugh.”
His waist was suddenly rubbed firmly. With no layers of clothing to block the sensation—at some point, Qin Shen had skillfully unfastened the lower buttons of his shirt—the friction against his skin sent a strange itch through him, instantly causing the end of Pei Yu’s sentence to change its tune.
His clear voice became sweet and cloying, sounding like a kitten acting spoiled. Easily provoked, the scent of roses on Pei Yu gradually intensified. Even he didn’t realize that the blood flowing through his body was responding to Qin Shen’s burning obsession with him.
Pei Yu had delicate skin; the slightest bump would leave pink marks or shallow bruises. As those coarse fingertips swept dominantly yet intimately across his skin, his body felt as if an electric current had passed through it. The heat rising from the depths of his spine spread to his four limbs.
Qin Shen’s well-defined hand held up Pei Yu’s shirt in uneven folds. When that dry, broad palm covered the area over his heart and slowly pressed down, Pei Yu’s brain went blank for a moment.
The temperature in the room climbed steadily. The silently flowing ambiguous atmosphere baked their feelings to a fever pitch. It was all too easy for Pei Yu to become red-faced and breathless, growing so soft that even his fingers lost their strength.
His chaotic, blurred consciousness cleared for a brief second. Pei Yu grabbed the man’s sharp-lined wrist and glared at him with clear eyes. “What are you doing?”
“What do you think?”
Qin Shen laughed wantonly. Taking an inch and wanting a mile, he used his palm to feel Pei Yu’s delicate skin before lowering his head to bite his lip. “We’re engaged now, so you’re officially my fiancé, right?”
“Isn’t this perfectly normal for us?”
It was normal but who gets rings and then, while the guests are still eating in the hall, disappears into a nearby lounge to kiss like there’s no tomorrow?
His tongue was licked firmly, and Pei Yu immediately let out a soft hum. This kiss was many times more turbulent and lingering than the one from a few minutes ago.
Without outsiders present, Qin Shen completely stopped acting like a “normal person.” Before, he was always afraid of scaring Pei Yu and had restrained his overwhelming love, fearing he would drive him away. Now, Pei Yu had accepted his ring. He had said he liked him. Every expression of love and every bit of permission Pei Yu gave nourished the most savage, crazy, and dark side of Qin Shen’s heart.
He sought the sweetness between Pei Yu’s teeth. At such extreme proximity, their breaths intertwined ambiguously. Qin Shen looked down at Pei Yu, whose face was flushed from the kiss, and his heart felt completely numb with affection.
The gaze from his dark eyes was full of aggression. Just being looked at like that made Pei Yu feel like his eyelids were melting from the heat. He initially struggled, but his two slender hands were captured by Qin Shen’s single hand and pinned above his head. Qin Shen’s large build pinned him down so he couldn’t move.
Gradually, Pei Yu also fell into the alternating intensity of Qin Shen’s kisses. A series of fireworks exploded in his brain; he was kissed into a daze, and a numbness spread from his head down his spine.
“Mmm…” The oxygen in Pei Yu’s lungs grew thinner. His hands were pinned so tightly that he couldn’t even grab the man’s clothes to remind him to be gentler.
The crisp pheromones filling the air grew even more concentrated under the influence of the scorching kiss. They wrapped around every inch of the youth’s skin, completely shrouding him in the Alpha’s dominant scent.
“Baby, what are you hiding in your mouth?” “How can it be this sweet?”
Qin Shen’s eyes darkened. When he propped himself up to give Pei Yu some air, a silver thread of saliva linked their lips. He tilted Pei Yu’s chin up, forcing the boy to look directly at him. Due to the lack of oxygen, Pei Yu’s face was blood-red.
He couldn’t possibly answer the question. He gasped for air, his mouth filled with Qin Shen’s taste. Like a predator marking its territory, Qin Shen had completely saturated him.
“Hmm?” Qin Shen buried his face in the boy’s slender neck, his lips brushing over his Adam’s apple as if he might bite down the next second.
Pei Yu’s mouth was hot and numb; he suspected Qin Shen had kissed the skin raw. Qin Shen’s gaze was incredibly hot. Pei Yu shrunk his neck slightly and replied hesitantly, “I’m not hiding anything. It’s not sweet.”
He pouted, his wet eyes looking at Qin Shen. “My mouth hurts. How am I supposed to go out and see people in a bit…”
“It’s clearly very sweet.”
Qin Shen kissed the corner of Pei Yu’s mouth. “Don’t go out. Just stay with me today.”
Pei Yu was about to speak when he suddenly noticed the heat rising in Qin Shen again. He felt like he was about to cry.
“Let’s just not go back out, okay?” Qin Shen nibbled at Pei Yu’s reddened earlobe.
Pei Yu refused immediately: “Of course not!” “Also, hurry up and get up! Stay away from me!” “Doing this in broad daylight, have you no shame?”
Qin Shen paused, then curled his lips into a smile. He said huskily, “Could I have caught my baby if I cared about my ‘shame’?”
Pei Yu’s face turned even redder. “…”
Damn it, he actually has a point.
He swallowed hard, afraid of provoking Qin Shen into being even more unreasonable. His brain worked at high speed, and Pei Yu thought of something. He licked his lips—which were still stinging from the kiss—and felt too embarrassed to look at Qin Shen as he prepared to speak.
Seeing Pei Yu’s expression change repeatedly, a faint smile appeared between Qin Shen’s stern brows.
“Um…” Pei Yu looked hesitant. A slender hand gripped Qin Shen’s collar. His eyelashes fluttered as he mumbled unclearly, “We’re already engaged.”
Qin Shen looked at him. “We are.”
“Rounding it up, we’re basically partners…” Pei Yu’s cheeks felt scorched. “Don’t they say an Alpha should listen to his Omega?”
Qin Shen raised an eyebrow, playing along. “I thought the saying was that a husband should listen to his wife.”
“If my wife tells me to leave, I’ll certainly be obedient.”
“…”
Pei Yu covered his face, dying of embarrassment.
“It seems my baby still prefers to stay with me. Then even if someone comes looking for us later, I won’t let you out…”
“Qin Shen!” Pei Yu covered the man’s chattering lips. He bit his lip hard and commanded sternly, “Your wife commands you to get off right now!”
Qin Shen’s whole body trembled; even the base of his ears felt numb. Looking at Pei Yu again, the boy’s crimson cheeks and the heat radiating from him were intoxicating.
A low laugh escaped Qin Shen’s throat. “Wife, what did you just say? I didn’t hear clearly.”
Pei Yu puffed out his cheeks and said moodily, “I said, get off right now.”
“Don’t we need to change how we address each other?” Qin Shen looked at him expectantly. His dark eyes held a playful glint, implying that if Pei Yu didn’t use the title, he wouldn’t leave.
Pei Yu pouted. Having no other choice, he said with a mix of shame and annoyance, “Hubby…”
“Mm, my wife is so good.” Qin Shen pinched Pei Yu’s cheek.
Pei Yu felt like his face was about to be cooked through.
“…”
