After Entering a Contract Marriage with a Disabled Alpha - Chapter 36.2
Qin Shen frowned slightly, about to ask for clarification.
“You can use items he has used: jackets, personal clothing, and so on, to create an environment saturated with Omega pheromones.”
“This will significantly reduce the mania brought about by the disorder once your rut arrives.”
Qin Shen understood and said in a deep voice, “I see.”
“However, Pei Yu and I are holding our engagement ceremony at the end of the month. If it happens to coincide…”
“Then there’s no helping it. Your rut cannot be predicted with absolute accuracy. Of course, you can adjust the engagement date based on your own physical premonitions,” Dr. Lu said.
“Understood. Thank you.” Having experienced many ruts, Qin Shen knew exactly what the doctor meant. As the breakout neared, he would experience severe headaches and an extreme craving for Omega pheromones; he would have a certain level of intuition about it.
“Alright, that’s about it,” Dr. Lu concluded. “If you feel any discomfort, just contact us.”
As Qin Shen prepared to leave, Dr. Lu stopped him and said with a smile, “With Pei Yu by your side, this rut will be much easier than previous ones. We also look forward to the day Mr. Qin fully recovers.”
Qin Shen nodded and smiled back. “I hope so. Thank you.”
He exited the institute. An orderly lifted him and placed him into the car, then went around to open the other door to get in.
Qin Shen told the driver, “Back to the old mansion.”
Pei Yu was wandering alone through the bustling China World Mall.
The people passing by were dressed glamorously; they represented the elite group with the most purchasing power in Jiangcheng. Pei Yu had never come to a place like this on his own. The last time he visited a high-end establishment was when Qin Shen took him to buy a suit.
Speaking of suits, he wondered if the custom engagement suits were ready yet; he was secretly looking forward to them.
Having had the experience of buying a suit with Qin Shen, Pei Yu wasn’t intimidated at all. He walked into a Patek Philippe boutique. Seeing a young student enter, the clerk’s eyes dimmed slightly, and their greeting was polite but lacked warmth. The clerk assumed Pei Yu was just browsing, as the watches in the glass cases started at several tens of thousands of dollars.
“Are you looking to purchase a watch, young sir? If it’s convenient, you can tell me your budget, and I can recommend a few models.”
Pei Yu glanced at the various dials and said hesitantly, “My budget?”
The clerk nodded politely. “Yes.”
Since Qin Shen had transferred a lot of assets to him, Pei Yu hadn’t actually calculated how much money he had. Anyway, it was a lot. Recalling Qin Shen’s million-dollar—or even ten-million-dollar—watches, buying one too cheap certainly wouldn’t fit Qin Shen’s status.
“Somewhere around a few hundred thousand to a million…” Pei Yu said.
Clerk: “…”
The clerk’s eyes lit up instantly, and their attitude became incredibly warm.
After much deliberation, Pei Yu finally chose a watch with a golden feather pattern engraved on the dial. It was a perfect pun on his own name (Yu meaning feather). At the thought, Pei Yu’s ears turned slightly red. He specifically asked the shopkeeper for nice gift wrapping.
After paying and taking the shopping bag, he saw he still had time before afternoon classes, so he hailed a taxi back to the mansion. In the car, he clutched the bag, feeling a bit nervous. The reason he bought the gift was that he wanted to find a good opportunity to tell Qin Shen that he liked him. This was his first confession; he couldn’t just brush it off carelessly.
…Qin Shen had bought him many things, but he had never bought anything for Qin Shen. Although he was using money Qin Shen gave him, he believed Qin Shen wouldn’t care about that—he would just be happy.
Pei Yu was excited to see Qin Shen’s expression when he received the gift and how he would look wearing the watch he chose. He would definitely look handsome.
After giving the gift, he planned to invite Qin Shen to watch a movie at home that evening—a romance. As they watched, and the atmosphere became more intimate, he hoped he could naturally say the words. He had originally wanted to invite Qin Shen out for dinner and a movie, but considering Qin Shen’s legs and the unwanted attention they might draw, he dropped the idea.
Back at the mansion, he went upstairs to find Qin Shen and pushed open the bedroom door. He saw him taking a nap. The man was lying there without a blanket; the room was a bit cool from the air conditioning. Qin Shen’s hand was draped over his forehead, his long legs crossed lazily.
Qin Shen’s legs were actually very long and well-shaped. Due to rehabilitation and exercise, the muscles hadn’t atrophied, though they weren’t as firm as his upper body. Still, compared to Pei Yu’s, the muscle definition was more apparent.
Pei Yu thought about his own slender legs and pouted; he really wanted to grow a bit taller. He slowed his footsteps, thinking Qin Shen was asleep. Since Qin Shen’s hand was covering his eyes, he couldn’t see his face clearly.
Walking closer, he whispered, “Qin Shen…”
Qin Shen wasn’t asleep; he had heard someone enter the room. He moved his hand and looked up at Pei Yu. Even from this angle, Pei Yu’s beauty was undeniable. Qin Shen’s gaze landed on the boy’s Adam’s apple. He blinked, reached out, and pulled Pei Yu toward him by the waist.
“Whoa, wait! Don’t hold me, I still have to go to school.” Pei Yu broke free from his embrace and handed over the shopping bag he had been swinging in his hand. “Since you’re awake, this is for you. See if you like it.”
A flash of confusion crossed Qin Shen’s eyes. He sat up slowly. Seeing the brand on the shopping bag, he knew what was inside. Still, he was pleasantly surprised. He opened the watch box to find a timepiece with a golden strap and a deep blue dial resting quietly in black velvet.
“This is for me?” Qin Shen picked up the watch and noticed the finely carved feather pattern on the dial.
“Mhm, a gift for you.” Pei Yu smiled.
“What made you think of getting me a gift all of a sudden?” Qin Shen unbuckled his current watch and swapped it for the one Pei Yu gave him, clearly liking it immensely. “A birthday gift? But my birthday is still a month away.”
Pei Yu kept it mysterious. “I just felt like giving it to you. Anyway, I have plenty of money, and I can’t spend it all.”
Qin Shen raised an eyebrow, sensing something was up. “Is that so?”
Pei Yu chuckled. “Yes.”
Qin Shen said deeply, “Thank you. I like it very much.” He pulled Pei Yu to the edge of the bed by the waist and leaned in for a kiss.
“Mmm… as long as you like it.” Pei Yu dodged the kiss and straightened out the shopping bag. “I’m off to school then.”
Qin Shen remembered Dr. Lu’s words and briefly explained the situation to Pei Yu.
“So, until your rut arrives, while I’m at school, I have to provide you with things that carry my pheromones?”
Qin Shen gave a soft “Mhm.” “That’s exactly it.”
“Oh…” Pei Yu patted his pockets but only found a marshmallow. The only other things he had with him that carried his pheromones were his clothes. “But I have to wear my school uniform to school,” Pei Yu said, blinking.
Then, he noticed Qin Shen’s gaze drifting downward.
“…” “…”
The closer the clothing was to the body, the stronger the pheromones it contained.
Seeing Qin Shen’s meaningful look, a realization flashed through Pei Yu’s mind. Aside from his school uniform, the only thing he had with him that carried the most pheromones was his underwear???
He couldn’t exactly take off his socks and give them to Qin Shen. That would be too insulting. But if he changed out of his underwear and gave it to Qin Shen, God knows what Qin Shen would do with it.
The thought of Qin Shen carrying around his underwear… any normal person would think that was perverted!
Pei Yu’s face turned beet-red instantly. He took several steps back and said with a flushed face, “No way! That’s way too shameless. How could I give you my underwear?” His eyelashes fluttered wildly as he accused him, “If you aren’t embarrassed, I certainly am!”
Seeing him like a startled kitten, the corners of Qin Shen’s mouth curled into a smile. Although he did want them, he knew Pei Yu was easily embarrassed.
“I didn’t,” Qin Shen said, lowering his gaze. “I didn’t say I wanted your underwear.”
“…” “…”
The air froze for a moment. Pei Yu bit his lip, finding the next thought difficult to voice. “Ah… so you want my socks then?”
Pei Yu, face red, kicked off his slippers and stepped onto Qin Shen’s suit trousers. The boy’s ankles were very slender, easily circled by a single hand. The skin above the sock line was so fair it was hard to tell if the socks or his skin were whiter. There was only a faint scent of roses. Out of embarrassment and awkwardness, Pei Yu wiggled his toes.
This is still so perverted.
“If you need them, just take them yourself.”
Qin Shen looked down. “…”
He was speechless for a moment. In Pei Yu’s mind, was he truly so perverted that he wouldn’t even let socks go? Although he didn’t actually mind—the boy’s cotton socks were clean and carried only a faint floral scent—on a psychological level, this was a bit of a test.
A chuckle escaped Qin Shen’s throat. He gripped the boy’s ankle. As his rough thumb rubbed upward, Pei Yu’s calf twitched sensitively. He tried to pull his foot back, but Qin Shen’s palm held him tight, making him unable to move.
“Hurry up, don’t make me late for school.” Pei Yu had no choice but to nudge Qin Shen with his foot to rush him.
A slight itch spread from where he was stepped on, and Qin Shen’s eyes darkened. He spoke unhurriedly, “Isn’t taking socks a bit too perverted?”
“But taking underwear is even worse!” Pei Yu’s cheeks were tinged with a thin crimson.
A low, husky laugh escaped Qin Shen’s lips. “Baby, don’t you think—”
Pei Yu blinked. “Hmm?”
“—that I was actually asking for your pheromone patch?”
“…” “…”
Stony silence.
Pei Yu’s eyes widened. He had made a huge blunder. He only just remembered the pheromone patch stuck to the back of his neck.
He was asking for the patch!!!
“Uh…” Pei Yu awkwardly withdrew his leg. “Alright, I misunderstood you.”
Qin Shen’s eyes were brimming with amusement, making Pei Yu’s head feel hot. This was so humiliating.
Pei Yu bent his head and lifted his hair away from the back of his neck. A section of snowy-white, slender neck was exposed to the air. Like an invitation, Pei Yu said softly, “Then peel this one off.”
Qin Shen paused. “Mhm.”
When the slender, cool fingers touched his most private area, the back of his neck Pei Yu’s body shook, and he nearly lost his footing. It was too sensitive.
“Don’t press around randomly, I still have to go to class,” Pei Yu murmured.
“Okay.” Qin Shen slowly peeled off the pheromone patch. In that instant, a rich fragrance of roses drifted into the air. The sticker, saturated with pheromones, curled up in Qin Shen’s palm.
Qin Shen once again glimpsed the gland on the back of the boy’s neck. The skin was smooth and flawless. The teeth marks he had left previously had long since vanished. Due to Omega physiology, after being marked by an Alpha, the broken skin healed very quickly.
With the mark gone, the scent of his pheromones on Pei Yu had almost disappeared. In fact, he was picking up the scents of other Alphas.
Qin Shen narrowed his eyes and pressed his tongue against his teeth.
It seemed next time, he would have to bite deeper.
