After Entering a Contract Marriage with a Disabled Alpha - Chapter 17.2
Because of the incident at the bar, not only had Lin Shuxing’s VIP card been revoked, but several of the others including Qin Fen himself had been blacklisted by Deep Blue. To make matters worse, they had been severely disciplined by their parents upon returning home. They were certain that after Pei Yu’s marriage to the Qins, he had snitched behind their backs, leading to their banishment from Deep Blue.
Sensing their ill intent, Qin Yiyang stepped in front of Pei Yu and said sharply, “Never seen a handsome guy before? What are you staring at? Get out of the way.”
“We’re just looking, what’s your problem? The school isn’t yours; you can’t tell us what to do,” one of them retorted.
Qin Yiyang let out two snickering laughs. “It’s true it’s not mine. However, my brother has invested so much money here; if you keep staring, who knows, you might get expelled one day. Want to try your luck?”
These rich heirs hadn’t gotten in on their own merit. Students who entered through academic excellence wouldn’t be expelled lightly, but for those who paid their way in, there was a lot of room for “maneuverability” behind the scenes.
Qin Yiyang had always been low-profile and rarely used his family’s power to suppress others. On the other hand, Qin Fen spent every day on social media shouting that Qin Shen was his biological uncle, desperate for others to fawn over him.
The group’s expressions changed instantly. Lin Shuxing looked at Pei Yu, who appeared several times more beautiful than before, and felt a suffocating lump in his chest. The forum was buzzing with rumors that the watch used as a betting stake belonged to Lin Yifeng. But Lin Shuxing knew that Lin Yifeng didn’t wear watches of that collection-grade quality—wagering a watch worth over ten million yuan on a whim was beyond him. Deeply convinced he had missed out on a mountain of gold, Lin Shuxing clenched his fists.
“Don’t get too ahead of yourself…” he hissed through gritted teeth.
Pei Yu blinked his lashes and, holding his new school uniform, deliberately lifted his left hand. He rotated his wrist, showing off the pink jade beads for Lin Shuxing to see.
“Hmm? Am I ahead of myself?” Pei Yu blinked his innocent eyes, pretending to be completely oblivious.
Lin Shuxing grew even more furious. He grabbed Qin Fen’s hand and turned to leave.
Having successfully flaunted his wealth, Pei Yu’s eyes shimmered with a clever, mischievous light. Qin Yiyang doubled over with laughter. “Look at him, he looked like he was about to drop dead from anger. That was hilarious.”
Seeing Qin Yiyang react so hyperbolically, Pei Yu felt a bit embarrassed.
They walked toward the school gate as the setting sun cast a golden glow. A pitch-black luxury car was parked at the entrance. Qin Yiyang had promised to go to an internet cafe with friends; he greeted Qin Shen, tossed his backpack aside, and left.
Pei Yu climbed in from the other side of the car, placed his uniform on the seat, and greeted him. “Mr. Qin…”
Qin Shen picked up Qin Yiyang’s backpack and placed it in the back, then leisurely unscrewed a bottle of mineral water and handed it to Pei Yu. “How was your first day of school?”
Pei Yu closed the car door. He looked down at the glass water bottle being handed to him and the watch on the man’s cold, white wrist. Droplets of condensation from the bottle dripped onto Qin Shen’s knuckles. There was a small black mole on his wrist bone, which stood out prominently against his pale skin.
Pei Yu paused, composed himself, took the water, and took two large gulps. “It was good. There was a diagnostic exam this afternoon.” At this point, Pei Yu couldn’t help but look worried.
Seeing his frown, Qin Shen said, “Did it go poorly? It’s normal not to adjust immediately to a new school.”
Pei Yu hesitantly explained how he let Qin Yiyang copy his paper. “There will be a grade-wide ranking. I created an unfair situation.”
Qin Shen, who had seen and used every kind of unfair tactic in the business world, couldn’t help but want to smile. “Your thoughts are very cute,” he said.
Pei Yu blushed. “Are they?”
“If you’re really bothered by it, you can tell the teacher and have Yiyang’s score voided.”
Pei Yu covered his face. “It’s not that serious, I guess.”
Qin Shen added, “Actually, there’s no need to worry. Diagnostic exams aren’t formal. Many students spent the whole summer playing; the teachers just want to help everyone refocus.”
Pei Yu found this logical. “That’s true. I noticed many of the questions were quite foundational.” As the scenery flashed by outside, Pei Yu gradually realized this wasn’t the way back to the old Qin estate. “Are we going somewhere?”
Qin Shen gave a low response. “Yes. The Lin family has sent out invitations to businesses and the media for a banquet. It’s to officially acknowledge your and Lin Shuxing’s identities. The timing is a bit tight, so I thought I’d take you to buy a formal suit. Custom-made might not be ready in time.”
Qin Shen produced a dark gray invitation with gold-embossed lettering. On the invitation, Qin Shen and Pei Yu were listed as partners. The Lin family claimed to the media that they were officially announcing their biological son’s identity, making Pei Yu the protagonist of the banquet. However, when Lin Yifeng designed the invitation, he still placed Pei Yu’s name after Qin Shen’s. It looked very perfunctory.
“My name is still after yours. He’s not sincere at all,” Pei Yu said, poking the gold letters.
Just as he spoke, a dry, broad palm ruffled his hair. “He is in the wrong for this.”
Qin Shen’s voice was slow, deep, and melodic in the enclosed cabin, sounding as elegant as a cello. “I’ll have my assistant speak to him and have a new one made.”
Feeling like a child being coaxed, Pei Yu shook his head. “No need. Even if he makes a new one, it doesn’t mean he’s being sincere.” Pei Yu looked at their names sitting together and smiled. “This is fine. It’s quite good.”
The mall they went to was the largest in Jiangcheng, equipped with a VIP entrance. They took a private elevator up to avoid excessive attention. Old Yang followed behind, acting as a temporary bodyguard.
Qin Shen’s wheelchair was electric and high-tech, capable of sensing direction and moving automatically, but Pei Yu would still occasionally grab the handles of the backrest out of habit. They entered a luxury boutique specializing in private-order suits. The styles and colors here were suited for young people, and they offered tailoring services that, while not fully bespoke, ensured a perfect fit.
Qin Shen was a premium member and had notified them in advance. As they arrived, the store manager stepped forward to greet them. Wearing a double-breasted black suit and white gloves, the manager stood tall and sharp—a walking advertisement for the brand. He bowed slightly and said, “Hello, Mr. Qin. Hello, young master.”
“Mm.” Qin Shen nodded. He took Pei Yu by the wrist and led him into the store. “Do you have any colors suitable for him?”
The manager looked at the boy—he was slender but had exquisite features, with eyes that were a pure, clean light brown. Based on his build, the manager brought out three sets: pure white, moon-white, and pure black.
Qin Shen asked for Pei Yu’s opinion. Not knowing much about it, Pei Yu whispered, “Mr. Qin, you choose for me.” His voice was soft and full of reliance, which Qin Shen found very pleasing.
A small smile played on Qin Shen’s lips as he pointed to the middle set. “Let’s try this one first.”
A few minutes later, Pei Yu stepped out of the fitting room. Hearing his footsteps, the manager and staff looked over. Their gazes froze for a moment, lingering involuntarily on the boy.
The noble and elegant moon-white color made him look as if he had stepped out of a painting. It was a pale, gentle blue-white that could look dull on most people, but on Pei Yu, it was entirely different. His skin was very fair, and his somewhat long black hair fell against his snowy neck. His features were beautiful and vibrant, and the low-profile, high-class color highlighted his gentle, noble aura.
He was narrow-waisted with long legs and a straight back. The shirt cuffs extended slightly beyond the suit sleeves, partially covering his well-defined wrists. Pei Yu lowered his long lashes, fiddling with the aquamarine cufflinks that matched the suit. His delicate fingertips looked blindingly white against the deep sea-blue of the stones.
He hadn’t tied his tie—perhaps because he didn’t know how. It hung loosely around his neck, the thin end swaying with his steps and brushing against his chest, as if waiting for someone to tie it for him. Many people in the store, including other customers, were dazed by the sight.
“I can’t get it to clip,” Pei Yu said, walking up to Qin Shen with a troubled expression. He was still struggling with a cufflink with one hand. His tone had inadvertently taken on a bit of a spoiled quality, but coming from his lips, it wasn’t annoying; instead, it made one’s ears feel tingly.
The manager snapped out of his daze and stepped forward to help, but Qin Shen waved him off. “I’ll do it,” Qin Shen said huskily.
Qin Shen took the boy’s wrist in one hand and pulled him closer. His long fingers moved in, his pads grazing the boy’s milky-white skin. Perhaps because Pei Yu had been struggling too hard, his wrist showed a few faint red marks.
Qin Shen asked, “Why is it red here?”
“I kept trying to clip it and couldn’t, so it got rubbed,” Pei Yu explained. As he spoke, Qin Shen suddenly began to rub his wrist gently.
Skin pressed against skin, so close it felt a bit itchy, like a numbing electric current. Pei Yu instinctively wanted to pull away, but his wrist was firmly held by Qin Shen. He looked down but couldn’t see the man’s expression clearly.
He had an illusion. The scent of pheromones on Mr. Qin seemed to have grown stronger, carrying an indescribable, surging desire. The cold, sharp pheromones slowly wound around him, carrying the scent of cedar. Only Pei Yu, with his 100% compatibility, could feel it so clearly.
The sweet scent of roses was stirred up. The thin gland on the back of Pei Yu’s neck began to heat up, and his limbs felt a bit weak. It was as if his body was longing for something. Pei Yu’s face burned as he tugged at the corner of Qin Shen’s clothes, his eyes misting over.
“Your pheromones…”
Qin Shen paused, only then realizing that a significant amount of his pheromones had leaked out. The manager standing nearest to him had long been struggling to breathe under the weight of the aggressive scent.
“Sorry.” After reining in his pheromones, Qin Shen focused on fastening the cufflinks.
A faint pink remained on Pei Yu’s translucent cheeks. He looked down at the bridge of Qin Shen’s high nose and bit his lip hard. Qin Shen’s pheromones… were a bit too domineering.
Finally, the cufflinks were done. Just as Pei Yu was about to withdraw his hand, Qin Shen caught the tie hanging around his neck. “And this. This needs to be tied too,” Qin Shen’s Adam’s apple bobbed.
“…”
The cold, handsome face suddenly drew near. Pei Yu uncomfortably averted his eyes. The man’s long fingers brushed over his Adam’s apple, the back of his hand repeatedly grazing the boy’s soft neck. Qin Shen moved slowly; he seemed to enjoy the process, his dark eyes harboring a deep, obscure light.
By the time the tie was finished, Pei Yu’s face was completely red, and a bit of sweat had formed on the tip of his nose. Their interaction was ambiguous and intimate, almost like flirting.
As Qin Shen withdrew his hand, he even hooked a finger under Pei Yu’s chin. “There.” His tone sounded quite reluctant to let go.
Pei Yu saw his own bright red earlobes in the mirror and felt completely helpless. Qin Shen was watching him from behind, his gaze drifting to the boy’s ear, a hint of a smile touching his lips.
Pei Yu: “!!!”
He rubbed his ears hard as an excuse, rubbing them until they were red. Now he had a reason—he definitely wasn’t red because he was shy!
The moon-white suit suited him perfectly. Pei Yu felt the person in the mirror looked like another version of himself—like a noble young master who had been pampered in a greenhouse since childhood. Looking down and catching a glimpse of the faint calluses on his fingertips, he returned to reality.
“It looks very good,” Qin Shen said deeply beside him. “We’ll take this set.”
Pei Yu nodded. “Okay.”
The manager stepped forward. “We suggest tightening the measurements at the waist and chest a bit more; the young master has a very thin waist.” This suit was designed for a slender Omega, but Pei Yu was naturally fine-boned; only his rear had a bit of softness to it.
“Alright,” Qin Shen said.
The manager produced a soft measuring tape and handed it to Qin Shen. “If Mr. Qin could help take the measurements?”
Qin Shen took the tape and felt it between his fingers. “Okay.” Then, a pair of burning dark eyes looked toward Pei Yu.
Pei Yu: “…” He swallowed hard. Actually, I could probably measure myself.
Qin Shen paused and looked up at the manager. “Do the clothes need to be removed for the measurements?”
The manager replied naturally, “Measuring without clothes is more accurate. If we haven’t recorded specific measurements before, we can take them all at once to keep on file for future garment making.”
Pei Yu froze, looking down at Qin Shen’s long hands and the measuring tape. Remove… remove clothes? Qin Shen measuring him?!
Pei Yu’s face flushed instantly with shame. He spoke up urgently, “No! Just measure over the clothes. It saves time.”
Manager: “But…”
Qin Shen: “Do you think it’s too much trouble? Don’t worry about it taking long; I’ll wait for you slowly.”
“You’ll wait slowly?” Pei Yu blurted out. “Am I measuring myself?”
The manager interjected, “Of course. When measuring without clothes, we recommend the guests do it themselves unless they have a special request.”
Pei Yu: “…” He realized something was wrong and looked at Qin Shen.
Sure enough, those cold, deep black eyes were staring straight at him, the thin lips curled slightly with a trace of a smile. “Oh? You thought I was going to measure you?”
Pei Yu’s breath hitched. Not daring to look at the manager, he snatched the tape from Qin Shen’s hand and walked quickly toward the fitting room. “I’ll be right back!”
The burning gaze from behind felt like it was stuck to him, impossible to shake off. Pei Yu shut the door of the fitting room, finally blocking out that sharp, teasing gaze.
Pei Yu’s whole face was on fire, his legs felt weak, and strands of rose fragrance scrambled to leak out. He sat on the stool in the room, his legs still shaking. He curled his fingers in embarrassment and fanned his face until he calmed down.
So embarrassing. He actually thought Qin Shen was going to do it himself.
His pocket vibrated. Pei Yu pulled out his phone; it was a message from Qin Shen.
【Qin Shen: Such a pity.】
“?!” Pei Yu’s pupils shrank. Being teased once again, his heart started to thump wildly.
