After Dumping the Scumbag Top, I Was Relentlessly Chased by a Top-Tier Idol - Chapter 48
Song Chizheng walked over and draped an arm around Jiang Siyuan’s shoulder, looking the picture of a doting lover. “I still remember, Sisi the first meal you ever made for me was a bowl of noodles.”
“You actually remember!” Jiang Siyuan appeared both surprised and delighted.
Song Chizheng caught Lin Yizhou in his peripheral vision and smiled. “Not only do I remember, I remember it tasted terrible.”
“That was the first time in my life I’d ever cooked, you should be satisfied.” Jiang Siyuan suddenly recalled something. “Wait, didn’t you say it was delicious back then? You finished the whole pot.”
Song Chizheng shrugged slightly, wearing an expression of helpless indulgence as he pulled the other into his arms. “Well, I chose the boyfriend myself, didn’t I?”

“These two ‘crazy’ guys… what, are they trying to give their colleagues a taste of a real couple’s ‘shock’? I’m over it.”
“Exactly. Who wants to watch them reminisce about the past? Can that old man surnamed Song, the one who came in second, hurry up and draw the lot? My baby Pei is practically drooling over the food; he’s standing there waiting with wide eyes.”
“Don’t think so highly of yourselves. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean no one does. I love watching it, so what?”
“Yeah, I love it too. Real couples are the sweetest. If you don’t like it, just get lost!”
Shen Xu stood with his arms crossed, speaking in a leisurely tone, “They say people only endlessly reminisce about the past when they’re on their deathbeds. You two are going on and on what, do you feel like your time is up?”
“Hiss… perhaps… they’re so young, surely they aren’t thinking of ending it all?”
“But, if you really can’t see a way forward, come find me when the time comes. I know a very good psychiatrist. Of course, I know neurologists too; I can recommend them to you.”
Song Chizheng’s gaze shifted slowly to him. He stood still, maintaining a posture that said, ‘I’m just not going to draw, what are you going to do about it?’
Lin Yizhou glanced at him, then turned to Wen Yue. “Yue, you go ahead and draw first.”
Shen Xu looked at him with a hint of surprise, then smiled with a sense of relief a moment later.
Wen Yue nodded and walked over to draw a prize.
Song Chizheng arched an eyebrow slightly. “As the captain, is it really okay to use public office to settle private grudges like this?”
Lin Yizhou slowly lifted his eyes to look at him. “Then may I ask, President Song… what ‘private grudge’ is there between us?”
Hearing their conversation earlier had indeed triggered some unpleasant memories for him.
He should have realized long ago that even if someone disliked noodles, they wouldn’t fly into such a rage upon seeing them.
At the time, seeing Song Chizheng so furious, he thought it was because his cooking tasted bad. He tried again and again and again.
In the end, the scalding noodle soup had landed on his own body.
Thinking back on it now, he only felt his past self was laughably pathetic. The other person hadn’t even tasted the noodles he’d cooked; how could it have been a matter of disliking the taste…
But now, none of that mattered.
The “Koi” Captain
“Captain?” Shen Xu lightly tapped his arm. “It’s your turn.”
Lin Yizhou nodded and walked to the wooden box. Pei Yutai followed closely behind him.
He turned around and asked Director Tu, “Can the rewards we draw be shared within the team?”
Director Tu: “Yes.”
Lin Yizhou turned back and asked Pei Yutai, “What do you want to eat?”
Pei Yutai was slightly shocked. “Captain, are you going to draw what I like? Can you even pull it off?”
“Let’s try. Who knows?” Lin Yizhou replied.
Pei Yutai’s eyes lit up as he shouted, “Then I want hairy crabs!”
Lin Yizhou nodded slightly, felt around in the wooden box for a moment, and pulled out a slip of paper. He opened it.
Hairy Crabs.
Pei Yutai jumped up and hugged Lin Yizhou, exclaiming happily, “Captain, you’re practically a koi… fish!”
Suddenly feeling a chill down his spine and noticing more than one set of eyes staring at him he realized his mistake. He immediately let go of Lin Yizhou and switched to simply circling around him.
Jiang Yi, standing in the corner, shook his head with a helpless smile. “Idiot.”
Shen Xu walked up to the wooden box and looked at Lin Yizhou. “Captain, help me draw. I want dessert.”
Lin Yizhou: “…I am not a wishing well.”
Shen Xu shrugged. “Just try. I’ll like whatever you draw anyway.”
Pei Yutai’s eyes widened. What was up with this guy? Didn’t he say he was going to hold back a bit? How was this any different from a direct confession? Where was the restraint?
He sighed helplessly and chimed in, “Captain, help me draw the next one too. I’ll like whatever you draw as well!”
Lin Yizhou glanced at the two of them, his gaze landing on Shen Xu. “Although it might not work, tell me your favorite kind?”
“All kinds of desserts,” Shen Xu said without hesitation.
Upon hearing this, Lin Yizhou frowned slightly. He felt a strange sense of familiarity with that phrase. He seemed to have said it before, but to whom or in response to what, he couldn’t remember.
He randomly pulled a slip of paper and opened it.
“It really is dessert!” Pei Yutai was completely shocked, stammering, “Captain, you… I… quickly, help me draw again. I want fried chicken!”
Lin Yizhou reached into the box for a third time, pulled a slip, and opened it.
“Fried chicken! It’s really fried chicken! A whole fried chicken, ahhh!” Pei Yutai was over the moon. “Captain, you are definitely a koi! You’re practically more than a wishing…” Realizing he was about to say something odd, he pivoted. “You’re even more effective than a wishing well!”
Wen Yue looked at the plain white rice she had drawn and laughed somewhat helplessly. “Captain, if I’d known, I would have had you draw for me too.”
Lin Yizhou remained calm. “It was… a coincidence.”
The Targeted Wish
Song Chizheng said leisurely, “Since you’re so effective, would the Captain mind drawing for me as well?”
Though he used an asking tone, he didn’t wait for a response. He turned his head to ask Jiang Siyuan, “Sisi, what do you want to eat? Make a wish at the ‘wishing well’.”
Shen Xu was about to speak, but Lin Yizhou stopped him.
Jiang Siyuan thought for a moment. “Then I wish to draw your favorite dish, Azheng soy sauce prawns.”
Song Chizheng looked up with a slight smile. “Then I’ll have to trouble the Captain.”
Lin Yizhou showed no reaction. He randomly drew a slip of paper and opened it directly toward the production crew.
Director Tu’s eyes widened in disbelief. He raised his megaphone: “It’s soy sauce prawns.”
This time, everyone was stunned. Every gaze was fixed on Lin Yizhou.

“My god, how can it be this supernatural?”
“The undisputed candidate for the new ‘Koi’.”
Lin Yizhou remained indifferent. “Please exchange them for us.”
Director Tu: “Staff will deliver the food you drew to your base camp later. The afternoon events start at 2:00 PM. Everyone, get some good rest at noon.”
The guests from both teams walked out of the jungle together toward their base camps.
On the beach where jagged rocks were scattered, Nan Qiguang stopped and smiled. “Yizhou, could I borrow your ‘Koi’ luck? If we can’t find food this morning and the afternoon is physical labor, our team…”
He didn’t finish the sentence.
Shen Xu was about to speak when Lin Yizhou beat him to it: “I’m sorry, I can’t help you with that. I wish you luck.”
Without waiting for Nan Qiguang’s reaction, he turned and continued walking.
Shen Xu froze for a second before quickly catching up.
Nan Qiguang watched their retreating backs. His eyes narrowed slightly, flashing with a trace of displeasure, but his expression instantly smoothed over when he turned to face his teammates. He smiled warmly. “Since that’s the case, we can only rely on ourselves. Everyone, let’s do our best.”
His teammates’ expressions varied; they seemed to want to say something, but with the cameras rolling, no one spoke.
The Dinner Table Confrontation
Shen Xu caught up to Lin Yizhou and leaned close to his ear. “Captain, how can you be so amazing? I mean, you were already amazing, but it seems there’s no upper limit.”
The words seemed nonsensical, but Lin Yizhou knew what he meant. The other was praising him for finally knowing how to refuse.
In the past, no matter how small a task he accomplished, in Shen Xu’s eyes, it seemed to be something worth being proud of.
But then again, if it had been before, he probably wouldn’t have refused.
He would have told himself: He would be standing on the rocks; he would be safe. He would tell himself: He just didn’t have to look at the sea. He could cover his ears with whatever was available so he wouldn’t hear the sound of the waves.
And then, he would have agreed to the request. He would endure it. Even if he ended up with some injuries, it didn’t matter as long as he didn’t die, he could still earn money to support Gu Lan and Lin Yidan.
But since coming here, he had remained unscathed every time. It was just that Shen Xu always seemed to get hurt to varying degrees because of him…
“There’s just one thing that’s not good.”
Lin Yizhou looked at the man walking to his left with a confused expression.
He saw Shen Xu wink his right eye and whisper, “Someone this amazing isn’t my boyfriend yet.”
Lin Yizhou: Ignore.
Back at the base camp, shortly after they arrived, staff members brought in the food they had won. The line was orderly, and the first staff member stopped in front of Lin Yizhou. “Captain Lin, where should we put these?”
Lin Yizhou pointed to the wooden table. “Just put them there. Thank you for your hard work.”
Two hairy crabs, a cake about one pound, a whole fried chicken, a large bowl of rice, about five pounds of soy sauce prawns, and a large bowl of shrimp noodle soup.
Once the staff left, the team members sat down.
Lin Yizhou: “Does everyone want to eat their own prize, or should we all share? Of course, you can also choose to only share with specific people.”
Pei Yutai was the first to speak: “I want to eat everything!”
Shen Xu: “I’m fine with whatever.”
Wen Yue: “Me too.”
Song Chizheng looked at Jiang Siyuan. “Sisi, what do you think? I’ll listen to you.”
Jiang Siyuan smiled. “Let’s just all eat together then.”
Everyone agreed to share the food.
Pei Yutai stood up. “Alright, I’ll go get the coconut bowls and divide the noodles and rice.”
The coconut bowls had been handmade by Lin Yizhou on the second day; there were only five.
“Jiang and Yue can just eat from the bowls provided.” Pei Yutai handed a coconut bowl to Song Chizheng. “This one is Jiang’s, President Song, you use it.”
Song Chizheng was about to take it, but Jiang Siyuan stopped him. “Azheng and I can just share one bowl.”
Pei Yutai followed suit, put the bowl down, and distributed the others.
Wen Yue: “I don’t need rice. You guys split it.”
She placed the rice in front of Lin Yizhou, who stood up and divided it equally among the members.
When he returned to his seat, he looked at the noodles in front of Jiang Siyuan. “Would you like to divide them, or shall I?”
Jiang Siyuan nudged Song Chizheng with his elbow. “Azheng, you do it.”
Song Chizheng nodded. “Anyone who wants some, pass me your bowl.”
Pei Yutai was the first to hand his over.
Shen Xu: “Captain, do you want noodles?”
Lin Yizhou shook his head. “I’m full enough.”
“You don’t want any?” Song Chizheng overheard them and cut in. “I remember the first meal you ever made for me was a bowl of noodles. You even said they helped you survive many hungry nights. Now… you don’t like eating them anymore?”
“Or have you just grown tired of them?”
His tone didn’t fluctuate much, yet every word was dripping with contempt.
As the words fell, the atmosphere on the scene suddenly turned cold, as if a single snowflake had dropped into a lake, freezing the entire surface.
Lin Yizhou’s hand, holding the coconut bowl, trembled slightly.
He had never imagined that the vulnerabilities and traumas he had shared out of what he thought was trust would return to strike him in such a manner.
Was the revenge starting this soon?
