- Chapter 8 - The Gland Was Bitten
“Dog…?”
Xing Xiyan released the tender flesh from his mouth. Through the gap of the open collar, he struggled to discern the true meaning behind Gao Chang’s words.
From childhood to adulthood, many people had called him a dog not just Vickery, but the family servants even some unreasonable peers at school had used the term. Without exception, it always carried a sense of mockery, humiliation, and disparagement.
Only the person before him those clear, bright blue eyes held nothing but a superficial layer of blame.
The youth’s thick, long lashes fluttered, and a flicker of confusion pooled in the depths of his eyes.
But quickly, the Alpha’s alabaster neck, exposed within the collar, reoccupied his vision, stealing his remaining attention. His upper and lower jaws ground together unconsciously.
His canine teeth were still in an undeveloped state; even though he had not yet entered the official differentiation phase and could not secrete pheromones, the catalysis of the drugs had awakened an Alpha’s unique marking instinct ahead of time.
Saliva seeped into his mouth, soaking the roots of his teeth and triggering a jolt of numbing, electric current.
At this moment, the Alpha’s entire heart and mind were focused on the additional “injuries” on his body, leaving him no room to notice the dark light of primitive animosity in the youth’s eyes.
“With the way you bite, what are you if not a dog?!”
Gao Chang kicked and shoved the human-shaped pendant aside, lifting his clothes with a bitter face to inspect the damage.
He truly hadn’t expected an undifferentiated brat’s bite to hurt so much.
Rings of vivid, swollen teeth marks were gradually exposed to the air as his clothing was peeled away. Especially on both sides of his chest bruised, purple, and overlapping there was hardly a patch of intact skin left.
A metal button brushed against a highly swollen patch of soft flesh, and the pain nearly made him burst into tears on the spot.
What the Alpha didn’t know was that the sight of him looking aggrieved and tearful, gasping for air while shedding his clothes, acted like an unstoppable force that once again directly stimulated Xing Xiyan’s pupils.
Under the dual erosion of alcohol and drugs, the youth’s eyes turned bloodshot as his reason vanished entirely.
With a whoosh, he lunged heavily toward the unsuspecting Alpha.
A wet, hot tongue-tip licked the back of Gao Chang’s neck. Once the “foreplay” was sufficient, he didn’t care about the other party’s reaction; like a starving wolf that had been fasting for too long, he bit down on the soft flesh right before his lips.
He clamped his jaws shut and bit down hard.
“AAAAAHHH! Fking stop! Don’t bite! Don’t bite! It fking hurts like hell!”
Gao Chang was stunned by Xing Xiyan’s actions.
The sharp, stabbing pain on his neck allowed no room for further thought. He immediately clenched his fists and threw several savage elbows strikes behind him.
Even though his gland would never be endowed with the function of carrying an Alpha’s exclusive mark like an Omega’s, it was still the most fragile and sensitive spot on an Alpha’s body. The pain from an attack on the gland was several times more intense than on any other part.
Furthermore, the other party was an undifferentiated youth with an unknown compatibility level.
A bite like that never mind an Alpha even an Omega would find it hard to bear, let alone feel any so-called “pleasure.”
He gritted his teeth, his hand trembling as he reached toward his nape, only to touch a smear of sticky, thin blood. The youth’s canines weren’t as sharp as a differentiated Alpha’s; they had mostly just broken the skin. Fortunately, he hadn’t bitten all the way through the gland.
Seeing the youth, who had been tossed to the foot of the bed, swaying as he climbed back up and charged at him again his brown eyes filled with naked longing like a hooked anchor intended to snag his neck Gao Chang’s heartstrings, which had just relaxed, tightened instantly.
“Fk, I promised to help you, but I never said I’d be your chew toy! If you dare to act wild like that again, don’t blame me for throwing you outside!”
He leaned his body away to dodge the assault, crossing his arm to pin the other’s neck and bending his knee to ruthlessly press down.
A muffled, lingering low moan escaped through the youth’s teeth.
Suspecting he had pressed too hard, Gao Chang froze. He began to move his leg away guiltily, but he was caught midway by Xing Xiyan’s hands.
“I don’t know how… teach me.”
The youth’s cheeks were drenched in sweat, the corners of his eyes wet and red. His gaze scattered and then quickly refocused, centering unerringly on Gao Chang.
“You’re the one who said it…”
Gao Chang swallowed. The displeasure of having his gland bitten was tossed to the back of his mind under the weight of the other’s earnest plea. He held his breath, his fingertips lingering briefly at the edge of the fabric before he finally made up his mind to remove the obstacles.
Xing Xiyan did not answer, stubbornly clutching his hand as if grabbing the only piece of driftwood in a sea of lust.
“Let’s get this straight first: only this once. You can’t come crying to me after this is over!”
Gao Chang’s comfort held almost no technique; it was even a bit clumsy and impatient. Yet for Xing Xiyan, who had zero experience, it was more than enough.
The rapid, suppressed sounds of breathing were like dense raindrops, carrying threads of hot wind through his eardrums and into his heart, circling again and again, throwing the Alpha’s already fluctuating heartbeat into total disorder.
His hand moved faster than his brain, covering Xing Xiyan’s mouth. “Can you keep your voice down? Stop humming.”
He was worried that if he kept listening, the number of people in “heat” would turn from one into two.
Unfortunately, he had clearly miscalculated; someone under the grip of drugs has no self-restraint to speak of.
Instead of reining it in, Xing Xiyan reacted the moment Gao Chang drew close. His thin but powerful arms—like iron pincers—quickly locked around Gao Chang’s waist, flipping him over and pinning him down.
His noble nose buried itself in the Alpha’s shoulder, greedily drinking in the abundant warmth radiating from him.
“I told you not to make a sound, and now you’re taking a mile?!”
Gao Chang reached his limit. He pinched the back of Xing Xiyan’s neck and tried to push him away. He was about to warn the boy to follow the rules when he was unintentionally ensnared by those mist-filled, red-rimmed eyes.
Their gazes locked for a long time. The words “service terminated” slid to the edge of his lips, only to be swallowed back in silence.
