- After Being Targeted By A Younger, Obsessive Tycoon, Mei Qiang Was In A Terrible Predicament
- Chapter 1 - The Debt of Vengeance
Moonlight filtered through the floor-to-ceiling window, casting itself upon Yan Qingming and stretching out his silhouette.
His face appeared even more cold and aloof in the moonlight. He wore his bathrobe loosely, revealing a large expanse of his chest, which was covered in suggestive marks.
He leaned back languidly in his chair, his crossed legs long and fair. A black mamba was tattooed on his slender right ankle, its scales so vivid and lifelike that the serpent seemed to be flickering its tongue, acting as a predator lying in wait.
Even just sitting there, he was beautiful enough to keep one’s eyes glued to him; he was like a cold, ethereal immortal, yet also like a bewitching demon, much like the tattoo on his ankle: beautiful and dangerous.
Yan Qingming leaned casually against one of the armrests, a cigarette held between his slender, well-defined fingertips. With his other hand, he attempted to unlock his phone, trying again and again, but the password was incorrect every time.
He turned his head and cast a glance at the man still sleeping soundly on the bed. The man was lying face down, shirtless, clutching the pillow Yan Qingming had just tucked under him, clearly fast asleep.
Yan Qingming turned away and continued to study the phone.
He is quite clever, he thought. He actually thought everyone else used their birthday as a password like he did.
On a whim, he entered his own birthday. The phone screen switched instantly from the lock screen to the home screen. His eyebrows raised slightly, a flicker of surprise passing through his eyes.
He bit down on the cigarette in his mouth and used his freed hand to flip through the chat history. Suddenly, the phone screen glitched and went black, reflecting his own face and, behind him, another face.
Startled, Yan Qingming threw an elbow backward to attack. The person behind him seized his arm in a single grasp and shoved him hard, flipping both Yan Qingming and the chair onto the floor. Before he could scramble up, he was already pinned beneath Qi Xiaolin.
Qi Xiaolin was shirtless, his muscular chest heaving. He leaned down slightly, the powerful and distinct lines of the muscles on his broad back visible. He approached his prey like a dangerous leopard.
His voice was low and hoarse. “Baby, I told you not to smoke.”
He raised his hand and pulled the cigarette from Yan Qingming’s lips. The man beneath him chuckled lightly, his lips parting slightly to exhale a cloud of mint-scented smoke directly onto Qi Xiaolin’s face.
“You are quite controlling.”
Changing the subject, he looked at Qi Xiaolin, who was still on top of him, and said, “Your voice does not sound like you just woke up.”
Qi Xiaolin ignored the comment, asking instead, “So curious about my phone?”
Yan Qingming turned his head away and did not answer the question. He struggled to sit up, but the man on top of him pressed down on his waist like a small mountain.
Qi Xiaolin took the phone from his hand and unlocked it. The page displayed was the chat application; a message had been typed but not yet sent, imitating Yan Qingming’s tone:
[Send me Yan Fen’s address. I have something to ask him regarding the Yan family affairs from back then.]
Qi Xiaolin sneered and tossed the phone aside. The man who had just been smiling now wore a suddenly chilling expression. He reached out to pinch Yan Qingming’s chin and said with a sinister smile, “What? Trying to figure out his location so you can leave me?”
Yan Qingming showed no sign of panic at being exposed. He curled his lips into a smile, his eyes narrowing slightly; the expression made his breathtakingly beautiful face even more dazzling.
“Qi Xiaolin, from the moment you took me away all those years ago, I told you: if you keep me by your side, you must be on guard at every moment.”
“I could leave at any time.”
The statement completely infuriated the man above him. Qi Xiaolin clamped a hand onto his shoulder, his grip so fierce that Yan Qingming’s bones rattled.
He slipped one hand inside Yan Qingming’s bathrobe and whispered, “Leave? Do not even think about it!”
“Your Yan family caused my parents to die one after another. Do not you dare try to walk away! You are here to pay off your debts for the rest of your life!”
Yan Qingming frowned, gripping the hand that was fiercely squeezing his waist. “They have already paid the price. You should not implicate others, and you certainly should not implicate Yan Fen, a child who has not even reached adulthood!”
Qi Xiaolin chuckled softly, leaned down, and buried his head in the crook of Yan Qingming’s neck, asking hoarsely, “Angry? Why are you angry? Those two old fogies are not your biological parents, and that brat Yan Fen is not your biological brother; what does it have to do with you whether they suffer or not? As long as you submit to me, your life will be much easier.”
Yan Qingming looked at the man crawling over him, his tone tinged with weariness. “I truly should not have picked you up and brought you home back then.”
That rainy night, he had seen a thin, stunted child crouching by the roadside eating leftovers someone else had discarded. Soft-hearted and feeling pity, he brought the child home. Little did he know that, by sheer coincidence, this child was the orphan of the Yan family’s greatest enemy.
He never expected that bringing him home would become the beginning of the end for the Yan family.
Qi Xiaolin smiled gloomily. “I am truly grateful that you brought me home.”
Ignoring Yan Qingming’s attempts to block him, his large hand wandered wantonly over the cool, delicate skin. “If you had not brought me home, how could I have gotten revenge for my parents? How could I have sent those two old things to prison? And how could I…”
He changed his tone, his voice suddenly turning seductive and low. “…pin you beneath me.”
“I was young and in my puberty when I went to the Yan family with you. In those days, you were the object of my sexual fantasies. Every single thing we do night and day now, I had already mapped out in my mind countless times back then…”
“The Qi family was driven to ruin by your Yan family until only I remained. I became a lonely soul, and you, Yan Qingming, should live the rest of your life to compensate me!”
