- After Being Forced Into This Obsessive Love, the Master Is Starting to Get a Little Hooked
- Chapter 9 - Master, Do You Know What You Are Doing?
At this moment, Bian Menghan’s mind was shaken to its core, with waves crashing against his long-frozen heart.
This was the Sword of Immortal Extinction!
This was the Sword of Immortal Extinction!
This was his original goal for coming to the Immortal Sect; this was the celestial artifact he had been searching for so desperately!
Bian Menghan could not tell whether he was more shocked or joyful. He trembled, his hands frozen in place. His pulse raced, thumping hard against his chest as if something were about to burst forth, and his blood boiled along with this excitement.
After a long while, he heard his own hoarse voice: “Master, what does this mean?”
Shi Changting was very satisfied with his beloved disciple’s expression.
Are you happy? Are you shocked? It is unbelievable, right, my good disciple!
You never expected that Master would be so good to you, right? Hahaha!
Master does not ask for anything else. I only ask that when you become successful in the future, you properly repay Master. Also, do not try that forced love imprisonment nonsense, and Master will be completely satisfied.
Shi Changting’s voice was as gentle as a fallen angel enticing someone into sin, beautiful and alluring, yet dangerous and bloodthirsty beneath the surface. If one were not careful, they would end up covered in wounds and in utter agony.
“A celestial artifact, a gift for you.”
Bian Menghan repeated it in disbelief: “A gift for… me?”
Shi Changting nodded firmly: “Yes, a gift for you.”
It is you! It is you! It is definitely you!
Bian Menghan’s lips quivered, clearly unable to accept this for a moment: “Why?”
Why? Why? Why?
Bian Menghan’s mind went blank, and he even briefly lost the ability to think.
Shi Changting moved gently, ruffling Bian Menghan’s hair, which was messy from sleep, as if he were carefully nurturing a favorite toy. His expression was full of love, but a trace of imperceptible indifference flickered in the depths of his eyes.
Shi Changting took out the Sword of Immortal Extinction and placed it into Bian Menghan’s hands: “It is called the Sword of Immortal Extinction, a celestial artifact. Master hopes that from now on, it can stay by your side and help you achieve great things.”
Bian Menghan felt as if he had been struck dizzy by a pie falling from the sky. His lips trembled: “But Master, I remember the ancient records stating that the Sword of Immortal Extinction is an ancient divine artifact that had disappeared for a time. It was later obtained by the sect and has always been the sect’s most treasured treasure.”
Shi Changting blinked, thinking to himself: That is exactly the effect I want!
He let out a light, dismissive chuckle upon hearing this: “Oh, is that so? So what?”
His airy tone made it sound as if they were not discussing the sect’s most sacred treasure, but merely some scrap metal found on the street.
“It is just a cold weapon,” Shi Changting’s beautiful, elegant eyes stared straight at the other man, as if they could suck him in.
“Menghan, you must remember that objects are dead, but people are alive. No matter how powerful it is, it is just a sword.”
“Instead of letting it collect dust there, it is better to give it to you so you can utilize its true purpose.”
As he spoke, Shi Changting pretended to be slightly remorseful: “Master is very sorry for what happened before. It was Master’s failure to protect you that caused you to suffer so much.”
“This is a celestial artifact I specifically selected from the sect’s treasury that suits you best. Take it and practice when you are free. If Master is not by your side in the future, I hope it can act in my stead and protect you well.”
Shi Changting spoke too truthfully, with such genuine sincerity that there was not a hint of falsehood.
Bian Menghan knew better than anyone how important the Sword of Immortal Extinction was. Otherwise, his father would not have made that deal with him. But now, it was being so carelessly and effortlessly handed over to him by his Master. Merely for self-protection.
Master.
Do you know what you are doing?
Bian Menghan felt a string in his brain snap with a soft pop.
At that instant, what did rationality, family, or missions matter? They were all complete garbage.
He only wanted to stay by his Master’s side, take good care of him, hold him, and make him happy. The storm raging in his eyes contained intense emotions he had not even realized himself, emotions so full they seemed ready to overflow at any moment.
“Master…”
“Rest assured,” Shi Changting lied as easily as he breathed. “From now on, Master will look after you, protect you, and will always stand on your side. I will not let anyone harm you in the slightest! Even if there are mountains of swords and seas of fire ahead, or thorns covering the path, Master will certainly stand before you and sweep away all obstacles.”
His words were so cloying that the system, which was lazily watching the drama, could not take it anymore and could not help but let out a disgusted yue sound.
The cold, mechanical system voice making such a human sound was awkward to the point of being funny.
Shi Changting, however, did not blush or miss a beat. His internal monologue: How inexperienced; this is just common sense.
Bian Menghan’s eyes darkened, and the overflowing emotions could no longer be contained, bursting through the dam like a turbulent tide.
He lunged forward, wrapping his arms around Shi Changting’s slender waist with surprising force, nearly causing Shi Changting to stumble and fall off the bed.
Bian Menghan pressed tightly against Shi Changting’s chest. His hands, like agile snakes, slowly moved from Shi Changting’s waist upward, gently groping along his spine. Through their clothes, he clearly felt Shi Changting’s burning body heat. The temperature was scalding, instantly igniting the deepest flames in his heart.
Shi Changting reciprocated as well.
He smiled helplessly in his heart. He is already such a grown man, yet he is getting more childish, actually acting like a spoiled brat.
He gently stroked the back of his disciple’s head, allowing him to squeeze him harder and harder, as if Bian Menghan wished to grind him into his very bones and blood.
Shi Changting did not react, allowing the boy to take whatever he wanted.
Bian Menghan’s eyes were terrifyingly dark one moment, and then burning with a fierce fire the next. He cast a vast, inescapable net, trapping the other man firmly within it, like a ghost from the eighteenth level of hell committing a crime. And the person being trapped had not yet noticed.
Bian Menghan clutched Shi Changting’s back, his eyes staring blankly and unblinkingly at the void ahead. His tone was pitiful, but his eyes were filled with gloomy malevolence, terrifyingly chilling: “Is what Master said true?”
Shi Changting did not notice anything unusual about the boy; he only heard the suppressed sobs in his voice.
He felt it was truly pathetic—no one had ever been good to him before, so just a few simple words had moved him to such a state.
Sigh.
If you are this easy to fool, it is lucky you met me, Master. If you had met someone else, who knows how you might have been cheated of both your body and your heart.
“A gentleman’s word is his bond.”
Though he was no gentleman.
“Master will not lie to you.”
Fat chance.
System: “…”
This is the first time I have seen such a shameless host.
“Master…”
“Alright, stop acting like a spoiled brat,” Shi Changting made as if to pull his disciple up from his shoulder, but found the boy immovable. He had to smile gently: “Come, let us look at your sword.”
Bian Menghan took an imperceptible deep breath. The faint, clean scent peculiar to his Master, mixed with a light touch of sandalwood, instantly filled his nasal cavity.
This familiar and reassuring aura made Bian Menghan feel intoxicated. He closed his eyes slightly, enjoying the time spent so intimately with Shi Changting.
After a long while, he slowly opened his eyes and pulled away from the Master’s embrace.
