- After Being Forced Into This Obsessive Love, the Master Is Starting to Get a Little Hooked
- Chapter 16 - When Will You Behave, Master?
Shi Changting: “???”
Are you even listening to me?
Bian Menghan closed in on Shi Changting step by step, his voice dropped to a low, slow murmur. “Master, could it be that you no longer like this disciple? Master, didn’t you love this disciple the most in the past?”
It was phrased as a question, yet it was heavy with gloom and laced with a trace of grievance, striking a heavy blow against Shi Changting’s heart.
The pressure was overwhelming.
It was far too intense!
Shi Changting could feel the disciple’s scorching breath against his face. Alarm bells rang in his mind, and he nearly screamed. However, his strong instinct for survival forced him to speak steadily: “I like you. Master likes you the most. How could Master not like you?”
Bian Menghan’s gaze trembled upon hearing this. A glimmer of joy had just surfaced, only to be violently extinguished the next second.
He heard Shi Changting continue: “But this kind of liking is different from what you think.”
Bian Menghan furrowed his brow, his eyes dark and brooding, as if he were struggling to endure something. “How is it different?”
It’s certainly not the kind of liking where you want to dominate me!
Shi Changting was frantic inside, but he dared not show a hint of it on his face. He explained patiently, “This kind of liking, well, it is probably the kind of care and concern that family members have, what an elder feels for a younger generation.”
Shi Changting did not dare to provoke Bian Menghan while he was on the verge of exploding, so he carefully observed the other’s reaction as he spoke. “Disciple, do you understand?”
Bian Menghan’s brows were furrowed tightly. His face turned increasingly grim, the veins on his forehead bulging, and his fingernails were dug deep into his own flesh without him even realizing it.
Family, elder? Master, you truly do not cry until you see the coffin. Even at this point, you still say such things. No matter. Since you are unwilling to admit it, then this disciple will personally explain to you, through action, what true liking is.
“I do not.” Bian Menghan’s single sentence shattered all of Shi Changting’s hopes.
He watched with morbid interest as the smile vanished from Shi Changting’s face and replaced it with terror that the master was trying desperately to hide. He hooked the corner of his lips in a twisted, sadistic manner.
“But it does not matter. As long as Master still likes this disciple, that is enough.”
In that instant, Shi Changting felt like he was casting pearls before swine, or rather, before a bull in heat.
Bian Menghan’s patience reached its end. He grabbed Shi Changting’s hand and began dragging him away.
“Since Master likes this disciple, then obediently come back with me.”
Bian Menghan’s strength was shockingly great; Shi Changting could not break free at all. He was practically being dragged. “Menghan, Menghan, calm down! Let go of me first!”
“I will not!”
Just then, Jin Shuangchen, who had been frozen in place by Bian Menghan’s powerful aura ever since he appeared, suddenly found courage from somewhere. Seeing his beloved master about to be taken away by force, he rushed out and blocked their path. “Stop! Let Master go!”
Bian Menghan paused. Only then did he glance sideways at the man before him.
The man was delicate and elegant, still appearing quite childish. Even though his body was visibly shaking from instinct, he still stood in his way.
His courage was commendable. It was just that he was too weak.
Bian Menghan sneered, his gaze as cold as snow that had not melted on high peaks for thousands of years. “Get lost!”
Jin Shuangchen stubbornly said, “You let Master go first!”
Shi Changting felt as if his head was about to explode. Child, why are you so brave? Can’t you see that even I cannot defeat him? You are just throwing your life away!
“Heh heh heh.”
Bian Menghan’s laughter sounded like the roar of a beast, giving Shi Changting goosebumps all over. A sudden, ominous premonition surged in his heart.
Sure enough, the next second, Bian Menghan released Shi Changting’s hand and forced two words out from between his teeth: “You are courting death!”
Demonic energy instantly surged from his body, creating a whirlwind that whipped up layers of sharp wind blades, crimson and bloodthirsty. It seemed as if, in the next second, those blades would slice Jin Shuangchen into ribbons!
No!
Shi Changting’s scalp tingled. He knew that if he did not intervene, Bian Menghan would truly kill Jin Shuangchen!
There was no time!
His body reacted faster than his brain. Shi Changting lunged forward, yelling at the top of his lungs, “Menghan, no!”
He threw his arms around Bian Menghan’s waist from behind.
Suddenly feeling the warmth of Shi Changting’s chest, Bian Menghan stiffened. The crimson wind blades turned into a gentle breeze and slowly dissipated into the air.
“Do not, do not hurt him. Be calm, Menghan.”
A flash of piercing pain crossed Bian Menghan’s astonished eyes. Master took the initiative to hug me. But it was to beg me to spare another man. Is Master already indifferent to me? Is Master falling for someone else? No! No! No! Master belongs only to me! Master will never like anyone else!
Towering hatred burned like a raging fire, incinerating Bian Menghan’s reason. He dragged Shi Changting’s body and forced him to walk forward a few steps, but he did not make any further move.
Shi Changting knew he could not control Bian Menghan for long, so he hugged Bian Menghan’s waist tightly and shouted to Jin Shuangchen, “What are you still standing there for? Run!”
“But, Master…”
“But what! I and he have matters that do not concern you! You cannot handle it! Go now!”
Jin Shuangchen bit his lip in unwillingness, but seeing the anxious look on Shi Changting’s face, he finally steeled his heart and ran away, looking back with every step.
Shi Changting finally let out a sigh of relief.
Jin Shuangchen was innocent; he did not want to see an innocent person get hurt because of him. Besides, he was so pure and gentle, just like Bian Menghan used to be.
Bian Menghan watched as Jin Shuangchen’s figure shrank until he disappeared completely. Only then did Shi Changting release his arms from around him.
Bian Menghan turned around slowly, his gaze deep and so complex that Shi Changting could not comprehend it.
“Master,” Bian Menghan’s voice was hoarse, his gaze gloomy, as if he were suppressing something to the extreme. His right hand slowly reached up to stroke Shi Changting’s fair, slender neck, his fingers tightening slowly. “Are you planning to abandon this disciple?”
Shi Changting’s legs were shaking. The hand on his neck felt like a death warrant. It felt as if, if he said a single “yes,” his head would be separated from his body right then and there.
He felt breathless, but he still tried to soothe him: “No, Menghan, no.”
Bian Menghan had grown much taller over the last month; standing before Shi Changting, he appeared incredibly imposing, almost dragging him off the ground.
Shi Changting craned his neck with great effort. “You are forever my only disciple, forever.”
Bian Menghan remained silent. However, Shi Changting clearly felt the strength gripping his neck lighten slightly.
Bian Menghan looked at the other’s reddened eyes. The corners of his eyes were misted with transparent moisture from pain, and a flush had spread across his skin, making him look frail and broken.
Master.
After a long time, he finally let out a sigh that sounded almost like helplessness.
“Master,” he said, slowly drawing out the tone as if deliberately torturing the eardrums, “when will you finally behave? Master is always like this. What should this disciple do with you?”
