After Becoming a Scummy Alpha, I Was Spoiled by a Sweet Omega - Chapter 97
The two returned to the villa.
Yu Yazhi retrieved the first-aid kit and began treating Ning Xuan’s wound with extreme care. Seeing Yazhi’s brow furrowed in concentration, Ning Xuan gave a relaxed smile. “It really doesn’t hurt, Yazhi. You don’t need to be so tense.”
Upon hearing this, Yu Yazhi pursed her lips and deliberately applied a bit more pressure.
Sure enough, Ning Xuan couldn’t help but hiss, drawing in a sharp breath.
“I thought you said it didn’t hurt?” Yu Yazhi countered.
Ning Xuan: “…”
Note to self: Never provoke a woman when she’s holding the antiseptic.
She smiled and changed the subject. “So, what’s your next move?”
Yu Yazhi shook her head. “I don’t want to think about it right now. Don’t mention those depressing things tonight. This night belongs to us.”
Ning Xuan: “…”
Why does the atmosphere suddenly feel so thick with tension?
In truth, Yu Yazhi wasn’t in the mood for anything scandalous; she simply wanted to nestle in Ning Xuan’s arms and forget her worries.
After quick showers, they climbed into bed. Unable to sleep, they chatted idly. Eventually, the conversation drifted toward the film set.
“When do you have to go back to filming?” Yu Yazhi asked. “The crew must be pushing for you to return, right?”
Ning Xuan nodded. “Yeah, they’ve been calling. I’ll stay with you for one more day tomorrow.”
She knew she couldn’t offer much practical help here, but she wanted to provide emotional support.
Yu Yazhi nodded. “Go back to work. I’ve already held you up for too long.”
Ning Xuan ruffled her hair gently. “It’s not a hold-up. I need to be by your side at a time like this. I just feel bad that I can’t do more. You look exhausted, your dark circles are so heavy.”
Hearing this, Yu Yazhi gasped and clutched her face. she hopped off the bed to grab a mirror. “Staying up late makes you ugly! Have I become ugly?”
Ning Xuan watched her turn her head left and right in the mirror and couldn’t help but chuckle. “Haven’t I been staying up with you? Don’t worry, I’m becoming ugly right along with you.”
“That’s not the same. If you get ugly, I’ll still want you. But if I get ugly, you might go find some little fox-spirit out there.”
Ning Xuan: “…”
Where is this coming from? Has my “Scum Alpha” reputation still not been cleared?
“I wouldn’t. Truly.”
But Yu Yazhi clearly wasn’t convinced. She jumped back onto the bed with a face mask from her vanity and asked Ning Xuan to help her apply it.
Ning Xuan took it and noticed there was only one. “None for me?”
Yu Yazhi shook her head. “No. I’d prefer it if you were a bit uglier.”
Ning Xuan: “…”
What “wicked” thoughts!
“If you get ugly, I’ll still want you too. But if I get ugly, you might be the one with a fox-spirit on the side.”
After smoothing the mask onto Yazhi’s face, Ning Xuan got up, grabbed a mask for herself, and applied it.
Yu Yazhi watched her. “Are you feeling insecure too?”
Ning Xuan offered some sweet talk: “Of course. Who wouldn’t be, when you’re so beautiful, wealthy, and brilliant?”
Yu Yazhi was visibly buoyed by the flattery. She basked in the sweetness for a while until the timer went off. She peeled off the mask, tossed it in the bin, and washed her face. She then soaked a towel to wipe Ning Xuan’s face for her.
Setting the towel aside, she pounced on Ning Xuan, laughing as she kissed her. “I’ll give you some security right now, okay?”
Ning Xuan certainly wasn’t going to refuse. She felt that some intimacy was the perfect stress reliever, and Yu Yazhi had been under far too much pressure lately. With a powerful move, she flipped them over, pinning Yazhi beneath her.
“Let me be on top,” Yu Yazhi murmured coquettishly.
Ning Xuan had a foolproof excuse: “I have a wound on the back of my neck. I can’t lie flat.”
Yu Yazhi: “…”
Fine. She would have to be the one lying down then. Because of the injury, she didn’t even dare to wrap her arms around Ning Xuan’s neck.
Sensing her hesitation, Ning Xuan hooked her arms around Yazhi’s back and pulled her into a firm embrace. Nose to nose, their breaths mingled. She leaned down and captured Yazhi’s lips in a series of deep, lingering kisses.
Yu Yazhi melted, her strength failing her. Her breaths became staggered and broken.
By the time they finished, it was 2:00 AM.
The sheets were a mess, and Ning Xuan had to change them. Yu Yazhi stood to the side, draped in a blanket, her legs feeling like jelly and her lips parched. “I’m so thirsty.”
Ning Xuan was thirsty too. She poured two glasses of water, and they both drained them.
“Want more?”
“Yes.”
Yu Yazhi meant more water, but she didn’t expect Ning Xuan to pin her down again.
“That’s not what I meant!” Yu Yazhi marveled at her stamina but felt a little intimidated. She pressed her hands against Ning Xuan’s shoulders. “Aren’t you tired?”
Instead of answering, Ning Xuan asked, “Are you tired?”
Yu Yazhi nodded. “Mm. Very.”
Ning Xuan smirked. “That’s my handiwork.”
Yu Yazhi: “…”
When did she lose her sense of shame?
Before she could think further, her reason shattered once again under Ning Xuan’s tenderness. She had no idea when she finally drifted off to sleep.
The next day, the sky was clear and bright. Yu Yazhi woke up first. Seeing that the person beside her was still asleep, she propped herself up on her elbows and watched her quietly. Sunlight streamed through the window, highlighting Ning Xuan’s beautiful features—her skin was smooth and glowing with health.
So beautiful. And she’s mine.
Overwhelmed with a sense of pride and happiness, Yu Yazhi leaned in and kissed her cheek.
Ning Xuan stirred and opened her eyes, a smile immediately gracing her lips. “Good morning.”
“Good morning,” Yu Yazhi replied, still watching her intently. She didn’t change her position even after Ning Xuan woke up, as if she were completely mesmerized.
Ning Xuan couldn’t help but tease, “See something you like? I’m going to start charging for views.”
“What’s your rate?” Yu Yazhi’s expression was tender yet serious. “I want to buy the exclusive rights for a lifetime.”
Ning Xuan: “…”
Right, I forgot she’s a wealthy tycoon.
However, “For anyone else, the price is astronomical. But for you.” She leaned in and pressed a kiss to Yazhi’s forehead. “A single kiss will do.”
It was pure, unadulterated sweet talk. Yu Yazhi laughed and pulled her out of bed to get ready. After washing up, she kissed Ning Xuan’s lips passionately. “I’m pre-ordering our next life, too.”
Ning Xuan had no choice but to go along with it.
The two lingered in the bathroom until 9:00 AM. Housekeeper Wu eventually knocked on the door. “Miss, aren’t you up yet? Breakfast is going to get cold.”
They finally separated with lingering reluctance, changed their clothes, and went downstairs to eat. Perhaps buoyed by the morning’s romance, they couldn’t stop smiling throughout the meal.
That lasted until Yu Yazhi’s father called.
She had to go to the ancestral home again. Ning Xuan went with her. When they arrived, the divorce lawyer Yu Yazhi had summoned was already waiting.
The divorce lawyer, Chen Shuo, was a male Alpha in his mid-thirties. He was well-presented in a sharp black suit, but his unsmiling, stoic demeanor marked him as a man of extreme gravity.
He had arrived early and had already conferred with Chairman Yu in the study. Yu Zhengcheng’s directive was absolute: Sun Meiqing was to leave the marriage with nothing, not a single cent.
Chen Shuo had his reservations. Having handled countless high-profile divorce cases for the wealthy, he was used to clients who went to great lengths to hide assets or minimize settlements, that was simply human nature. But
encountering someone so utterly unyielding, so intent on being this draconian toward an ex-wife, was a shock even to his seasoned sensibilities.
Stepping out of the study for a breath of air, he happened to see Yu Yazhi coming upstairs. He approached her immediately to relay the contents of his conversation with Yu Zhengcheng. “Miss Yu, I’m glad you’re finally here. Regarding the divorce, the Chairman insists on giving her nothing. His stance is incredibly firm. This makes things quite difficult to manage.”
No matter how badly a marriage had crumbled, it usually didn’t come to this. If word got out, what would happen to the reputation of a major corporation’s CEO? It looked like nothing short of bullying.
Yu Yazhi understood the lawyer’s concerns and gave a small nod. She moved to enter the study, and seeing him move to follow, she said, “Wait out here. Let me speak with him first.”
Chen Shuo stopped in his tracks. Yu Yazhi and Ning Xuan entered the room.
Inside the Study, Yu Zhengcheng sat behind his desk, looking haggard as he flipped through documents. In the wastepaper basket beside him lay the torn, shredded remnants of a family portrait.
“You’re here.”
He looked up as they entered. He didn’t bother with pretenses, getting straight to the point: “Don’t try to talk me out of it. I am making sure she doesn’t get a single penny.”
The depth of his current hatred for that woman was exactly equal to the depth of the love he had once felt for her.
