After a Flash Marriage with a Professor - Chapter 46
Chapter 46: Brave and Cowardly
Shen Junlan closed her eyes and reveled in the moment. Ming Shu’s lips were sweet and soft, and her proactive kiss carried a sense of brave shyness.
In her relationship with Ming Shu, Shen Junlan had always held the dominant position; everything was under her control. Even her previous attempts to lure Ming Shu into relaxing were part of her strategy to help Ming Shu lower her guard and overcome her fear.
Today, however, was completely different. Ming Shu was overly proactive. Ming Shu had always been eager to learn, but her limited acceptance capacity meant her progress was slow. Now, her performance was like suddenly switching from walking to flying a plane.
Shen Junlan couldn’t keep up.
She was utterly dizzy and surrendered the initiative entirely to Ming Shu.
Her mind slowly wondered, Why is Ming Shu so aggressive today?
Did Ming Shu do some extra self-study after the last night lesson?
As she mused, Shen Junlan suddenly felt a slight sting.
Her little bunny wife had bitten her.
She opened her eyes and saw Ming Shu looking at her with a hint of resentment.
“Professor Shen, you’re not paying attention. Do you not like this?”
“No, Wife, I love it. Please continue.”
Ming Shu looked clearly deflated, pursing her lips as she watched her.
Shen Junlan smiled, hooked her arm around Ming Shu’s neck, and tilted her head up to kiss Ming Shu.
Ming Shu felt herself melt under Professor Shen’s kiss. She had to admit that Professor Shen was simply better at it.
Kissing in this position was tiring and difficult. Shen Junlan eased back down, untied her bathrobe, and smiled at Ming Shu. “Wife, you take the lead. Whatever you want to do is fine. I promise I won’t think about anything else this time. I’ll be a serious student.”
She wants to test my teaching results, Ming Shu thought, her face burning.
She leaned down, but all the material she had memorized suddenly vanished from her mind, without a trace. She could only recall some of Professor Shen’s practical lessons to her, so she awkwardly tried to imitate them.
Ming Shu’s imitation of Professor Shen’s teaching was clumsy. She used to think only her mouth was clumsy and that she was afraid of people. Now, her hands were clumsy too, moving in fits and starts, like a malfunctioning, sputtering machine.
Professor Shen’s experience must be terrible with me doing this.
Shen Junlan was intensely aroused but left hanging. She could feel Ming Shu’s hands trembling. After a moment’s consideration amidst the trembling, she decided she had to take charge.
Pressing her hands onto Ming Shu’s slender shoulders, Shen Junlan effortlessly switched their positions.
Ming Shu suddenly fell onto a soft expanse, feeling slightly dizzy. Her vision was blurred, with only the lights flickering and swinging wildly.
A blurry face with a familiar scent approached, immediately stealing her breath. She had no time to gasp.
Thump-
Thump-
Thump-
Her heart felt like it would leap out of her chest. Her brain was oxygen-deprived. Professor Shen seemed to love this kind of suffocating kiss. Ming Shu couldn’t clearly define the feeling, but she knew she was being seized. Oxygen, breath, and thought were all stolen by the searing kiss.
It was strange; she felt a little scared, yet she also knew she was safe.
Willingly plundered, and even a little addicted.
Their lips and teeth were locked, inseparable.
Ming Shu urgently sought support. She hugged Professor Shen’s smooth back, tightening her grip, which intensified the sense of suffocation.
Shen Junlan felt it wasn’t enough. She propped herself up and moved slightly down, using her lips to part Ming Shu’s bathrobe and kissing lower.
Ming Shu’s entire body trembled violently. Her very soul vibrated.
Shen Junlan sighed softly, chuckled, and whispered, “Wife, I’m putting a stamp on your heart, too. You are my wife forever. You can’t love anyone else.”
Ming Shu’s eyelashes fluttered, her eyes glazed over. “Forever… ?”
“Yes, forever. I gave you two chances before to choose to leave, and you didn’t take them. There won’t be a third chance.”
Shen Junlan took Ming Shu’s hand and placed it over her own heart, asking, “Wife, do you want to put a stamp on me too?”
If I put a stamp on her, will that make Professor Shen only love me, too? the last shred of Ming Shu’s conscious mind wondered.
Ming Shu gently kissed the spot, leaving no mark, unlike Professor Shen’s forceful press. She wasn’t sure how much of what Professor Shen was saying right now was real. Everyone said sweet words and vows made in the heat of the moment shouldn’t be taken seriously, and she didn’t want to bind Professor Shen, even verbally.
She wasn’t qualified. If one day Professor Shen no longer needed her and found someone better, she would choose to offer her blessing and quietly leave, never to bother her, as if she had never appeared in Professor Shen’s life.
“Wife, Wife, Wife…”
Shen Junlan keenly sensed the faint distance mixed into Ming Shu’s complete acceptance of her. She grew even more passionate, “stamping” Ming Shu’s body. She needed Ming Shu to feel her intense love.
What Ming Shu felt was Professor Shen’s strong infatuation with her body. She was willing to burn herself to satisfy Professor Shen, but she was terrified of becoming infatuated with Professor Shen herself, adding another layer of dependence.
The pleasure of burning and the agony of clarity intertwined. Ming Shu’s emotions were a mess. Instinctively, she tightly hugged Professor Shen, who was showering her body with kisses. As her hands restlessly stroked Professor Shen’s smooth back, she suddenly felt a slightly rugged, uneven spot. Her heart jumped.
Shen Junlan felt it, too. All her movements froze. She sat up, ignoring her fallen bathrobe, facing Ming Shu directly, resolutely protecting her back.
Ming Shu also sat up. She closed her bathrobe and looked at Professor Shen’s face hesitantly. She was certain she had just touched something on Professor Shen’s back.
It felt like a scar. The gruesome scar instantly extinguished Professor Shen’s passionate ardor.
A small tug of sympathy went through Ming Shu’s heart. She looked at Professor Shen’s dimmed, lost expression, feeling a pang of sorrow.
She wanted to simply remain silent and move past it, but she couldn’t.
Ming Shu thought of every moment of her struggle and how Professor Shen had helped her, again and again.
She wanted to help Professor Shen, too, but she wasn’t sure if she had the right or the ability. She was anxious and distressed.
After a few minutes of silent contemplation, Ming Shu tentatively moved closer and hugged Professor Shen. Since Professor Shen didn’t resist or push her away, Ming Shu dared to find that scar, whatever it looked like.
When she fully touched it, she found it was about the size of her palm.
Shen Junlan allowed Ming Shu to embrace her, resting her head on Ming Shu’s neck.
She felt such pain. Time seemed to rewind, and every stitch that had closed the wound now stabbed her flesh again, tearing the tissue apart.
Ming Shu felt a single drop of icy-cold liquid fall down her neck and slide across her back. At the same time, she was in close contact with that unseen scar, and the Professor Shen she was hugging gave a sudden shiver.
Did Professor Shen cry?
Ming Shu panicked slightly. Another tear fell, touching her hand and the scar. She used her hand to wipe away that tear, but this time, the tear was her own.
“…Professor Shen, are you okay?” Ming Shu asked tentatively, holding back her tears.
“I’m not.”
Ming Shu felt a stab in her heart.
This was the first time Professor Shen had shown such a vulnerable side to her, yet she didn’t know what to do. She wasn’t clear on what had happened and didn’t dare to ask rashly.
“Wife, I hurt.”
“Does the scar hurt?”
“Mhm.”
Ming Shu’s heart ached. She was easily moved to tears and couldn’t hold them back. Two streams of tears rolled down. Her father used to call her a “little crybaby” when she was small, saying it was because of her tear mole, and suggested getting it removed, but her mother stopped him, saying the mole was beautiful.
Ming Shu was afraid of pain and didn’t want to remove the mole. She had been highly sensitive to all kinds of sensations since childhood, and her empathy was strong. She would feel distressed when she saw others suffering, even when she herself was in the mud.
Previously, Professor Shen had always been gentle, refined, and graceful in her eyes. After their reunion, she saw Professor Shen’s predatory side. Her understanding and perception of Professor Shen remained shallow, only vaguely realizing that Professor Shen’s family life was not harmonious.
But now, she felt the situation was not as simple as family troubles.
She wanted to help Professor Shen, but she felt unqualified and incapable. She was anxious and desperately upset.
Tears continued to fall. Shen Junlan felt a warm rain falling on her shoulder.
This is terrible. She had made Ming Shu sad.
Shen Junlan was overwhelmed with mixed emotions. She pulled back from Ming Shu and gently wiped Ming Shu’s tears away.
“Why are you crying, Wife? Are you feeling bad for me?”
Ming Shu nodded, her eyes misty with tears. Shen Junlan’s hand, wiping the tears, suddenly froze.
“I’m fine,” Shen Junlan said, forcing a smile.
“But…” Ming Shu sobbed. “I felt your tear just now. It was cold.”
“A tear?” Shen Junlan frowned in confusion. “I didn’t cry.”
“Professor Shen, why are you still… still lying to me?”
“I truly didn’t, Wife.”
This was a perfect opportunity to use emotional blackmail, but Shen Junlan couldn’t bear to see Ming Shu upset. Ming Shu had already shed enough tears. She wanted Ming Shu’s face to show more smiles and less sadness.
“Wife, I swear,” Shen Junlan said, not realizing that she actually had shed a single tear.
Ming Shu wiped her own tears, but they kept coming.
“Professor Shen, why are you swearing so much today?”
“Because my wife doesn’t believe what I’m saying.”
Shen Junlan smiled, raising her hand to wipe Ming Shu’s tears away to show that she wasn’t sad. She joked, “You really are made of water. Your eyes are watery, and that place is watery, too. Don’t cry your eyes out. Save all that water for down there, so you can enjoy the pleasure.”
Ming Shu froze. She immediately understood what Professor Shen was saying. She flushed with embarrassment, her face and eyes red, like a variant red bunny.
At this moment, Shen Junlan also realized the best way to stop Ming Shu’s tears: Ming Shu was thin-skinned and couldn’t handle inappropriate talk.
Ming Shu turned into a red, head-down bunny, refusing to look at her. After a few seconds, she changed the subject. “Professor Shen, can I look at your back?”
Shen Junlan reached back and touched her own back, speaking softly. “I’m afraid I’ll scare you.”
“I want to see it,” Ming Shu repeated weakly.
“If it’s too ugly, will you start to despise me?”
“No!” Ming Shu raised her voice. “I can swear to it!”
Shen Junlan smiled. “Okay.”
It was only a matter of time before Ming Shu saw it. Shen Junlan lay down on her stomach on the bed. Ming Shu immediately fixed her gaze on it.
“Is it scary?” Shen Junlan asked nervously.
Ming Shu shook her head. Realizing Professor Shen couldn’t see, she added, “No. I think it’s very beautiful.”
It had felt gruesome to the touch, but looking at it, it was quite striking. It was a blooming, reddish-brown rose.
Shen Junlan said softly, “I call it the Hell Rose.”
Ming Shu didn’t understand. She cautiously reached out to touch it again, leaning closer to look. It didn’t look like a modern tattoo, but rather something carved out with a sharp weapon, with noticeable depth.
Hell Rose.
Professor Shen must have been in so much pain then.
Ming Shu didn’t dare to ask. She leaned down to kiss the Hell Rose. The petals were dried, like drained blood vessels, and that patch of skin seemed damaged.
Ming Shu’s tears fell again, all landing on the dried area.
Afraid the tears would sting the wound and hurt Professor Shen, Ming Shu quickly wiped them away.
Shen Junlan said, “That feels so good.”
“It doesn’t hurt?”
“It doesn’t hurt anymore. There’s rain.”
Ming Shu’s fingertip gently touched the dry rose, asking sadly, “Professor Shen, is there anything I can do for you?”
“Wait for your period to pass, and bring me a spring rain.”
