After a Flash Marriage with a Professor - Chapter 20.1
Chapter 20.1: Children
Mingshu watched as Professor Shen slowly leaned in to kiss her, and she closed her eyes nervously.
Professor Shen was indeed a professor, but could she even teach how to kiss correctly? Mingshu couldn’t stop her mind from wandering.
The air between her and Professor Shen was continuously being squeezed out. She could already feel Professor Shen’s breath on her cheeks, and it tickled.
Professor Shen first kissed her eyes, and only then did she kiss her lips. Mingshu felt it quietly, just like a good student who takes a professor’s teaching seriously. Professor Shen gently sucked on her lips. Mingshu lay stiffly in Professor Shen’s palm, feeling for a moment as if she had become a vegetable. Professor Shen was healing her by transmitting electric currents through kissing.
“What are you thinking about? You’re not focused.”
Shen Junlan bit Mingshu’s lips and then used her hand to pinch Mingshu’s cheeks. As soon as Mingshu opened her mouth, she immediately entered, like a person who had been thirsty in the desert all day and finally found a source of water, naturally trying to drink as much as possible.
The water was very sweet, but she was drinking too fast. The sweet spring couldn’t handle it, so she slowed down her taking, trying her best not to make this sweet spring cry.
Shen Junlan pulled away for a moment and gently pinched Mingshu’s crimson cheeks. “Mingshu, relax. Don’t be too nervous. Remember to breathe.”
Mingshu took a deep breath during this time. Her chest rose and fell, and Shen Junlan’s desire for more grew.
Yesterday, Mingshu didn’t have a suitable nightgown to wear, so Shen Junlan had picked out a few online this morning according to her own taste, contacted a specialty store to have them delivered, and asked Auntie Zhang to help wash them. Tonight, Mingshu was wearing a rose-red slip nightgown, which perfectly accentuated her figure. When she first came out of the bathroom, Mingshu felt very awkward, but she reluctantly accepted it after Shen Junlan gave her a few sincere compliments.
Shen Junlan could swear she didn’t think too much when she was choosing the nightgown for Mingshu, but Mingshu could easily arouse her desires.
“Mingshu.” Shen Junlan’s hand was on Mingshu’s waist, slowly moving up. Through the smooth and soft silk fabric, Shen Junlan held Mingshu.
Mingshu was startled and didn’t know how to react. Professor Shen began to kiss her neck, making her neck wet and hot.
When Professor Shen used her lips to take off the rose-red slip nightgown, Mingshu immediately became uneasy. “Professor Shen… I… I’m not ready yet.”
Shen Junlan suddenly snapped out of her desire and let go of Mingshu. Mingshu adjusted her shoulder straps and hugged her chest with both hands.
“I’m sorry, Mingshu. I couldn’t control myself for a moment.”
Mingshu’s lips were parted in surprise. She had always thought of Professor Shen as very abstinent. It wasn’t just her; the students at H University all thought so. The students loved collecting and talking about the romantic histories of their professors, especially a high-quality professor like Professor Shen, who was young, promising, and had an extraordinary appearance and temperament.
Mingshu had also heard by chance that some female students had bravely confessed their feelings to Professor Shen. There was more than one, but no matter how many students who admired Professor Shen came forward, Professor Shen would gently reject them one by one. She didn’t know if it was true.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Shen Junlan smiled and pinched Mingshu’s cheek. She couldn’t help but lean in and kiss Mingshu’s bright red, delicate lips.
Mingshu bit her lower lip and looked up at her, her face still full of shyness. “Can I ask you a question?”
Shen Junlan looked at her with a smile. “Go ahead.”
“Is it true that a lot of students at H University confessed to you?” Mingshu looked at the person at the center of the gossip with a curious and bright look in her eyes.
Shen Junlan let out a low laugh and thought for a moment before answering seriously. “It might not be appropriate to say ‘confessed.’ There are indeed a lot of students who have expressed their interest in me.”
“A lot… how many?” Mingshu asked curiously.
“I haven’t kept track, and there’s no need to. A student’s crush is very naive. Students naturally have a kind of admiration for their teachers. Many times, people don’t distinguish between admiration and love.”
Mingshu raised a hand and said, “Professor Shen, I’ve distinguished it!”
“Oh?” Shen Junlan gently held the hand Mingshu had raised. “Did Mingshu also admire me?”
Mingshu pursed her lips and said nothing, her cheeks getting redder and redder.
“Are you shy?” Shen Junlan held Mingshu and couldn’t help but lower her head to kiss her again.
Mingshu turned her head, nimbly avoiding the kiss.
“Maybe ‘admiration’ is not the right word. It should be ‘respect,'” Mingshu said, imitating her earlier tone.
Shen Junlan was stunned for a moment and then felt a slight annoyance. The word “respect” had an age-related feel to it, and it seemed to invisibly widen the distance between her and Mingshu.
Mingshu, however, didn’t notice her subtle emotions and continued to say seriously, “I think Professor Shen is a truly good teacher, so I respect you.”
Shen Junlan no longer gave Mingshu a chance to speak. She directly sealed her lips, blocking all possibilities of “respect.”
Mingshu was dumbfounded. She didn’t know what had gone wrong. Professor Shen suddenly kissed her fiercely. It was no longer a gentle and lingering kiss, but an extremely aggressive one.
Mingshu was so weak and dizzy from the kissing that she finally got a chance to breathe. There was a little bit of moisture on her glistening lips. Shen Junlan tried her best to restrain herself from continuing to invade.
At this moment, Mingshu was like a little rabbit that had been bullied. Her eyes were red, her cheeks were red, and her lips were red. She instinctively felt that Shen Junlan was dangerous, but she also felt soft-hearted, thinking that she was a good wolf, not a big bad wolf that would eat a little white rabbit.
But she was the big bad wolf that would eat the little white rabbit.
To get the meat, she had to break the little white rabbit’s fantasy about her.
She bit Mingshu’s delicate lips with a little force. Mingshu winced in pain as expected. She immediately softened her力度 and kissed Mingshu gently. As soon as she left, Mingshu immediately shrank back, covering her lips with both hands, looking at her with a look of three-parts doubt.
“Are you disappointed that Professor Shen is so different from what you imagined, Mingshu?”
Mingshu looked at her silently for a few seconds before she said timidly, “I’m not disappointed. I’m just… a little surprised.”
“Professors are also mortals. They’re carnivores,” Shen Junlan said politely with a smile.
Mingshu’s face flushed again. She lowered her head and whispered, “Professor Shen, I’m not ready yet. Can you please give me a little more time?”
“Okay. But I’m very surprised, Mingshu. Are you not repulsed by doing that with me?”
“Since we’re married, that kind of thing is inevitable,” Mingshu said in a small voice. Although she didn’t know much about that kind of thing, she did know that it was a thing.
“No, Mingshu. I want you to throw away the worldly framework. Are you still willing?”
Mingshu thought about it seriously and found that she wasn’t repulsed by being intimate with Professor Shen. Her face got even redder. She thought she might be starting to like Professor Shen a little.
“Mingshu?”
Mingshu was too shy to speak. She nodded in response. Shen Junlan immediately felt a great sense of satisfaction. It was as if honey had been smeared on her heart, melting softly.
“Let’s go to sleep, Mingshu. You have to get up early for work tomorrow.” Shen Junlan raised her hand and turned off the light. She lay down in the bed with Mingshu.
“Mingshu, can I hold you while we sleep?” Shen Junlan asked softly.
“Mm.” Mingshu responded timidly. Professor Shen immediately reached out and held her. She first wrapped her arm around her waist and then slowly moved it up. After reaching a certain position, Professor Shen’s hand stopped moving.
In the darkness, Mingshu looked down at the position of Professor Shen’s hand and felt a little embarrassed. If only Professor Shen’s hand could behave.
At six in the morning, Mingshu heard the alarm and immediately reached for her phone on the nightstand.
Her work started at nine, but Professor Shen’s villa was a bit far from her company. She had to get up early. Before going to bed last night, she had set the alarm and turned the volume to the lowest setting, trying not to wake up Professor Shen.
But Mingshu looked down, and Professor Shen’s hand was still in the same place as yesterday, motionless.
Mingshu’s face couldn’t help but blush. She found it so strange. Normally, if someone accidentally touched her arm, she would be startled. But last night, she was able to endure being treated like that by Professor Shen.
Could it be that she was really starting to like Professor Shen?
With that thought, Mingshu’s entire body felt hot. She had to go to work. Mingshu shook her messy little head, cleared out all the romantic thoughts, held her breath, and gently moved Professor Shen’s hand.
When she touched Professor Shen’s overly slender fingers, Mingshu’s heart felt hot again.
While Mingshu was in a daze, the hand with the slender fingers turned and held her hand.
“Mingshu?” Shen Junlan opened her right eye sleepily. It took her a few seconds to open her left eye.
“Why is your face so red so early in the morning? Are you not feeling well?” Shen Junlan asked with concern.
“No…” Mingshu lowered her head and said hesitantly, “Professor Shen, if you move your hand, I’ll be fine.”
Shen Junlan suddenly understood and let out a low laugh, feeling very good.
She was a little reluctant to leave at this moment. After letting go, she couldn’t help but press Mingshu into her arms and hug her for ten seconds.
When she let go of Mingshu again, Mingshu jumped off the bed and ran into the bathroom as if she were escaping.
What a cute little rabbit.
The little rabbit’s little rabbit was also extremely cute. She couldn’t let go of it, which was why she couldn’t bear to let go all night.
Shen Junlan looked down at her hand with a smile, feeling quite sinful. But just as she had said to Mingshu, she was a person with desires. There was no need to deliberately avoid this point. Mingshu hadn’t been repulsed last night. She must have been happy, right?
After Mingshu finished washing up, she put on her work clothes. Yesterday, when her parents were packing clothes for her brother, they also packed a few of her usual outfits. The others were very old, so there was no need to pack them.
Mingshu smoothed out the wrinkles on her clothes. Remembering what her mother had said yesterday, she still felt very sad.
At this moment, someone gently hugged her from behind.
“Professor Shen, why are you up so early, too?” Mingshu blinked her slightly red eyes.
Shen Junlan smiled and said, “If I can’t have breakfast with you because I slept in, I think I’ll be very regretful.”
Mingshu immediately smiled through her tears and stopped thinking about the unhappy things. She went downstairs with Professor Shen to have breakfast.
Auntie Zhang had already prepared breakfast. Today’s breakfast was yam and pork rib porridge, chicken feet, steamed dumplings, and sweet corn juice. Jiajia was also up, wearing a pink apron, helping Auntie Zhang bring the food to the living room.
“Jiajia, you drank so much last night. Why are you up so early? Does your head not hurt?” Shen Junlan asked.
Jiajia forced a smile and looked up. She saw Sister Junlan holding Mingshu’s hand and then thought about them sleeping together last night. The smile on her face froze. She lowered her head and said, “It doesn’t hurt. I’m not like Sister Mingshu. I’ve long since learned how to drink. The red wine last night wasn’t even strong. It’s you, Sister Junlan, who always treats me like a child.”
Shen Junlan shook her head helplessly. It seemed that young people always wanted to grow up quickly.
Auntie Zhang reached out and tapped Jiajia’s forehead. “This little girl doesn’t know the benefits of being young. When you get to my age, you’ll know how good it is to be young.”
Jiajia pouted in silence, puffing up her cheeks in anger. Shen Junlan and Auntie Zhang didn’t think much of it, only assuming that Jiajia was unhappy about being treated like a child, just like before. They had no idea there were other reasons for her unhappiness.
Mingshu lowered her head, concentrating on eating. She couldn’t understand the situation at all.
“Auntie Zhang, is Old Liu coming to work today?” Shen Junlan scooped two pieces of pork ribs for Mingshu and asked Auntie Zhang.
Old Liu was the family driver. He had taken a few days off for personal matters, which was why Jiajia had to drive Mingshu home yesterday.
“Yes, he called me this morning to report in. I got him some food.”
Shen Junlan nodded.
Jiajia said, “I’ll take Sister Mingshu to work. I’m going in that direction anyway.”
“Don’t be silly, Jiajia,” Auntie Zhang said with a soft rebuke. “It’s no joke if you get caught for drunk driving.”
Shen Junlan said gently, “If you want to go, you can go in Old Liu’s car. He can drop Mingshu off at work first and then take you wherever you need to go.”
There was no better solution. Jiajia didn’t argue this time. She just wanted a chance to be alone with Mingshu without Sister Junlan around.
Mingshu didn’t say anything. She quietly ate her breakfast. The yam and pork rib porridge Auntie Zhang made was very thick. She finished a bowl and also drank a cup of corn juice. Professor Shen asked her if she wanted another serving. Mingshu was a little embarrassed and shook her head hesitantly. Auntie Zhang saw this and went to get her another cup, telling her to drink it on the way. She also prepared a box of mixed fruits: cherry tomatoes, cantaloupe, red guava, and milk jujubes. She carefully packed it in a box and found a nice, sturdy bag for her to carry.
“Thank you, Auntie Zhang,” Mingshu said. She then left with Jiajia. She wasn’t very familiar with Jiajia and they didn’t have much in common to talk about, so she didn’t speak. Thinking that she was a little older than Jiajia, she could only show her consideration through her actions. So she opened the car door first and let Jiajia get in.
Jiajia didn’t get in immediately. She turned around and looked back, not sure if she was looking at Auntie Zhang or Professor Shen.
“Thank you.” Jiajia got in the car, and Mingshu followed.
Old Liu, the driver, was a warm and kind middle-aged man. He turned around and greeted Mingshu with a smile, calling her “Madam” and saying that he would be the one to take her to work from now on.
“Thank you for your trouble,” Mingshu responded politely. Old Liu was stunned for a moment. Jiajia urged him. “Let’s go, Old Liu. It wouldn’t be good if Sister Mingshu is late for work.”
“You won’t be late. Don’t worry.” Old Liu gave his guarantee and stopped chatting with them, focusing on driving.
Mingshu leaned against the back seat and thought about the last time the vice president’s wife mistook her for a mistress. She had been on leave for a few days and didn’t know how the rumors had developed and how many versions there were.
“Sister Mingshu.” Jiajia, who was next to her, suddenly shook her shoulder.
Mingshu came back to her senses and asked, “Jiajia, is there something wrong?”
Jiajia said, “Sister Mingshu, I want to ask you a question. Please answer me seriously.”
Although she didn’t know what Jiajia was going to ask, she still nodded.
“Sister Mingshu, did you marry Sister Junlan because you really love her, or because you’re after something else?”
It was obvious what “something else” referred to: money, which everyone loved.
Mingshu was stumped by the question.
To be honest, her marriage with Professor Shen was very impure. But this was a private matter between her and Professor Shen, and it wasn’t appropriate to talk about it with Jiajia.
For a long time, the two of them just sat in silence, facing each other.
“I understand, Sister Mingshu.” Jiajia suddenly let go of her arm and moved to the window, no longer talking to her. Mingshu felt a tightness in her chest. She also leaned her head against the window and looked at the scenery outside.
From the subtle interactions over the past two days, Mingshu could feel that Jiajia and Professor Shen had a very good relationship. It was only natural for Jiajia to be concerned about Professor Shen’s marriage. Mingshu didn’t think too deeply about it. Compared to this, the suffocating environment at her company worried her more.
