For the first twenty years of his life, Jiang Qiu was convinced he was a Beta.

That belief shattered when his first heat arrived without warning. Panicked and desperate, he tried to flee, only to stumble straight into the arms of a stranger. By the time he opened his eyes again, the damage was done. The stranger, a cold and distant Alpha, tossed a business card onto the bedside table with a curt instruction:

“Wait for me here.”

But the Alpha never returned. Instead, he left Jiang Qiu with a child and a crippling, incurable case of “Alpha-phobia.”

Five years later, Jiang Qiu stood in the CEO’s office of the Lu Group, his face deathly pale as he confronted the man before him. His shirt was already soaked through with cold sweat. Steeling his nerves, Jiang Qiu forced the words out.

“Yes, we have a child together.”

“I don’t have any ulterior motives,” he continued, pushing past his fear. “I only hope that President Lu can help me get him out of the childcare center. After that, I promise our son and I will never appear in front of you again.”

The man, dressed in a sharp, tailored suit, leaned forward slightly. His pheromones, cold and sharp like a blizzard, felt heavy enough to crush Jiang Qiu where he stood.

Jiang Qiu braced himself for the worst. He expected the security guards to be called, or to be mocked for making up such a blatant lie. Instead, the man everyone knew as the ruthless and decisive head of the Lu Group reached out. Under the watchful eyes of his staff, Lu Mingshen took Jiang Qiu’s hand.

“Pick up the kid?” Lu Mingshen’s voice was deep and steady. “Let’s go. Now.”

Jiang Qiu, who had spent weeks mentally preparing for a grueling battle with a scumbag Alpha, was left utterly bewildered.

Jiang Qiu soon realized there was something strange about Lu Mingshen.

For a “scumbag” who supposedly abandoned him, the man was remarkably responsible. He treated Jiang Qiu with indulgent care, providing for his every need as if he were trying to hand him the stars and the moon. Jiang Qiu couldn’t help but feel like a pig being pampered before the slaughter.

When Lu Mingshen’s rut hit, the two were confined to the same room. The air was thick with the Alpha’s highly sensitive pheromones, leaving Jiang Qiu dizzy and overwhelmed.

Suddenly, Lu Mingshen hooked an arm around his neck, his cold lips pressing against the nape of Jiang Qiu’s neck.

“We’ve been living together for so long,” the Alpha whispered. “It’s time for some give and take.”

Jiang Qiu’s nerves spiked to the breaking point, only to hear the man continue:

“Can you… let me have a scent of your pheromones?”

Jiang Qiu: “…?”

In the Omega community, Lu Mingshen was the ultimate “Dream Alpha”—top-tier, wealthy, and flawless in every way. However, no one knew his secret: he was deathly allergic to Omega pheromones.

That changed the day a mysterious Omega crashed into his life and then vanished just as quickly. That scent had carved itself into his very soul, haunting his dreams every single night.

When they finally reunited, Lu Mingshen barely had a chance to speak before the “irresponsible” Omega fainted from sheer disgust at his presence.

Lu Mingshen: “…” Am I really that terrifying?

Lu Mingshen knew he had made a mistake once. But he had never regretted the outcome.
