Acting as the Vicious Second Lead [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 14
The night hung low, the sky thick with dense, dark clouds. By now, the heavy downpour had eased into a persistent, drizzling rain.
Because the original owner of the body was pampered and loathed long commutes, she had rented an apartment near the office—the very place where Qin Xiaoxiao was currently staying.
Click.
The bathroom door creaked open, revealing a pair of flawless, porcelain-white legs. Having finished her shower and dressed in a silk nightgown, Qin Xiaoxiao felt entirely relaxed. She leaned back against her pillows, climbed into bed, and reached for her phone.
Upon opening QQ, unread messages flooded her screen. Among them, over thirty notifications were from her manager. Qin Xiaoxiao clicked the chat, only to find a rapid-fire barrage of messages. Her manager was obsessively asking how her conversation with Qu Li had gone, even attaching a 3MB file.
She opened the file details. The title read: “One Thousand Conversation Topics for Actors! Never Worry About Running Out of Things to Say Again.”
Qin Xiaoxiao didn’t know whether to laugh or cry as she replied with a simple: “Oh.”
There was no need for further explanation. After all, they each harbored their own ulterior motives; their goals were mismatched, and they shared no common ground for conversation. However, her manager’s pestering did remind her that the matter regarding Qu Li had yet to be resolved.
With that thought, she closed the chat, switched to her contacts, and tapped on the “New Friend” notification.

The other party’s profile picture was a beautiful Ragdoll cat, snowy white and tilting its head adorably. Its round eyes were a clear, translucent blue, like the open sky.
Initially, Qin Xiaoxiao had no desire to interact with that cunning woman. But there was one thing she hadn’t managed to clarify—how exactly had the woman realized she was merely playing the role of a villainess? Where had she slipped up?
At this thought, Qin Xiaoxiao’s gaze sharpened. She tapped Accept.
[You are now friends. Start chatting!]
A notification pinged, confirming their new connection. However, it was only after adding her that Qin Xiaoxiao realized the other woman was offline; her icon was grayed out. Looking at the time, she saw it was already ten o’clock.
“It’s already this late…” she murmured.
Deciding that whatever it was could wait until tomorrow, Qin Xiaoxiao set her phone aside and turned off the lights. The room fell back into darkness. The air was thick with humidity. Everything was silent, save for the rhythmic pitter-patter of raindrops against the glass window.
Late at night, in a certain hotel room.
The interior was pitch black. Xiang Liwei sat alone in the corner of the bed, the eerie, cold glow of her phone illuminating her face. A feverish, unnatural flush crept across her beautiful features.
Her clothes were disheveled, her top sliding askew with her movements to expose a pale, satiny shoulder.
“Hehehe… Yin Ni…”
She giggled breathily, stroking the phone screen. Her gallery was filled with several surreptitiously taken photos of a woman. Every angle was incredibly sharp and voyeuristic—mostly shots of the woman’s back or her profile. Had she been any bolder, she might have been noticed, so there were no direct headshots in the library.
A few were blurry, the silhouette indistinct and the face unrecognizable. But it didn’t matter. Her beloved was beautiful in any form.
The girl lowered her head and stuck out a small, red tongue. With an expression of morbid, obsessive infatuation, she began to lick the image of the radiant woman on the screen, moving up and down and leaving behind trails of translucent saliva.
The room was thick with a decadent, lingering scent.
Xiang Liwei’s eyes grew hazy as she parted her lips…
“You’re so delicious.”
“As I thought… you’re at your best when you’re as quiet as a corpse, unable to reject me.”
