[ABO] The Despised One Becomes an Internet Sensation After Marriage - Chapter 51
Chapter 51
“…”
Having opened his heart to Fu Shiyan, Xu Zhimian was now largely immune to such words.
Xu Zhimian shot Gu Xingchen a faint look and huffed, “You’re so fond of spreading rumors; I bet you’re the one who bought those tabloid headlines, aren’t you?”
“…” Gu Xingchen gave a half-smile. “I knew you wouldn’t believe me.”
He gestured to the assistant behind him, who handed over a stack of photos. The background of the photos was a dimly lit bar. In them, Fu Shiyan and Qi Qingran were positioned with their heads and necks overlapping, looking as if they were kissing.
Xu Zhimian’s brows knit together. He wasn’t stupid; from this camera angle, it was clearly a case of forced perspective—a “camera kiss.”
On the contrary, the fact that Gu Xingchen came to him with a stack of photos made his motives highly suspicious, especially considering Gu Xingchen’s inexplicable hostility toward Fu Shiyan in the past. An answer was on the tip of his tongue.
“What do you want?”
Gu Xingchen replied unhurriedly, “It’s simple. You and I join forces. You help me bring Qi Qingran to me, and from then on, I’ll make sure those two never meet again.”
So it really is Qi Qingran. Xu Zhimian arched an eyebrow. “Bring him to you? I don’t even know where he is.”
Gu Xingchen leaned in close, their distance nearly non-existent. A smirk played on his lips. “…Teacher, for that, you’ll have to ask your dear President Fu.”
“What do you mean?”
Gu Xingchen answered nonchalantly, “Exactly what I said.”
At the brand gala, Huo Chengyuan was a bit tipsy. Looking at the two figures leaning into each other in the distance, he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him and rubbed them vigorously.
Holy shit, isn’t that A-Yan’s wife? Why is he being so intimate with Gu Xingchen!!
…
Abroad, Fu Shiyan had just stepped out of the shower when he received a message from his best friend, Huo Chengyuan. He tapped into the chat.
[Huo Chengyuan]: A-Yan, I need to tell you something. [Fu Shiyan]: Speak. [Huo Chengyuan]: Are you divorced? [Fu Shiyan]: … [Huo Chengyuan]: You’re not, right! [Fu Shiyan]: Why?
Huo Chengyuan sent a picture.
[Huo Chengyuan]: I saw this at the gala.
A few minutes later, Fu Shiyan switched off his phone with a frigid expression.
“Li Xi, book me a flight back home for tonight.”
“!!!” Li Xi said hesitantly, “But the project…”
“Let those old foxes have it.” They wouldn’t be jumping around for much longer anyway.
…
Xu Zhimian left the gala early. KK closed the door of the nanny van for him.
He asked KK, “Where’s Sister Kailin?”
KK handed him a tissue to wipe his sweat. “Sister Lin was called away by Xu Mu.”
Xu Zhimian didn’t ask further. He usually slept very soundly, but for some reason, he was tossing and turning tonight. At around two or three in the morning, he got up to pour some water. Upon pushing open his door, he was startled by a dark shadow standing outside.
“Ah!!”
Xu Zhimian stumbled back in fright, his glass shattering into pieces on the floor.
“It’s me.”
A familiar scent enveloped him as Fu Shiyan pulled him into his arms. Xu Zhimian let out a massive sigh of relief and gave him a heavy punch. “Fu Shiyan! You scared the life out of me, you know that!”
Before he could even catch his breath, Fu Shiyan’s searing kiss descended.
Fu Shiyan kissed him chaotically and fiercely. Xu Zhimian couldn’t keep up and kept retreating until he was forcefully grabbed by the waist and pinned against the wall.
Xu Zhimian let out muffled whimpers. When he finally got a chance to breathe, he instinctively tilted his head back, gasping. Fu Shiyan took the opportunity to kiss his fair, clean neck, sucking one hickey after another onto his skin.
Regaining his senses, Xu Zhimian propped his hands against the man’s shoulders and asked softly, “Weren’t you on a business trip? Why are you back?”
Fu Shiyan didn’t answer. Instead, he bit down hard on the gland at the back of Xu Zhimian’s neck, his teeth marks overlapping with previous ones.
“Mmph!”
Xu Zhimian moaned, his body going soft. He buried his face in the crook of Fu Shiyan’s neck, his breathing rapid. Only after biting him and seeing Xu Zhimian covered in his pheromones did Fu Shiyan’s expression soften slightly.
He snorted coldly, “I came back to catch an adulterer.”
“? What do you mean?”
Xu Zhimian didn’t react immediately. He was pulled into the bedroom, where the dim bedside lamp was on. He was shoved onto the bed. Fu Shiyan opened the picture on his phone, looking down at him with an unfriendly tone: “Explain this.”
It was the photo taken at the gala tonight when Gu Xingchen was talking to him. The angle was so tricky it made them look like they were kissing.
“…” Xu Zhimian’s eyes widened. “You’re doubting me?”
He laughed in anger. He pulled a stack of photos from under his pillow and threw them at Fu Shiyan. “Then you explain your own situation first!”
Fu Shiyan knit his brows as he went through the photos. After a moment, he spoke: “…This is forced perspective.”
Then it clicked. “You and him… were also a camera trick.”
Xu Zhimian turned his head away in a huff, ignoring him. The tension in Fu Shiyan snapped, and he let out a long sigh of relief.
A pouting Xu Zhimian rolled up all the blankets, wrapping himself into a cocoon like a silkworm pupa, a few stray hairs sticking up on his head. “I’m not giving you the blanket. Go sleep in the guest room.”
Xu Zhimian often did such childish yet adorable things. At that moment, the exhaustion from Fu Shiyan’s long journey was swept away. He couldn’t help but chuckle softly. He pulled the “cocoon” toward him and planted a tender kiss between Xu Zhimian’s eyebrows. “I’m sorry. I acted too impulsively.”
Fu Shiyan’s apology didn’t soften Xu Zhimian’s heart. He bit down on Fu Shiyan’s Adam’s apple and only let go after a long while. “Is the issue impulsive? No! The issue is that you dared to speak to me with that attitude and questioned me!”
“You couldn’t even see through such a low-level camera trick and doubted me.”
“Before, you kept suspecting I had multiple sugar daddies, and now that we’re married, you keep thinking I’ll cheat. Is my credibility that low in your heart?”
Fu Shiyan was left speechless by the verbal assault. After a long silence, Adam’s apple bobbed. “…It’s my fault. I’m sorry.”
“…” Xu Zhimian snorted. “Apologies are useless. You’re sleeping in the guest room tonight regardless!”
Fu Shiyan: “…”
…
The next morning, Xu Zhimian instinctively looked for Fu Shiyan, only to remember he had kicked him out to the guest room.
…Ye Ming was right; you have to give Alphas a lesson, otherwise they’ll think you’re a pushover!!
After washing up, Xu Zhimian was called to the study by a phone call from Kailin. Fu Shiyan was standing by the floor-to-ceiling window smoking. Hearing the door, he shot him a faint glance.
Xu Zhimian’s eyes moved to the cigarette in the man’s hand. He frowned imperceptibly; lately, for some reason, he felt physically uncomfortable whenever he smelled tobacco.
Kailin waved him over happily: “Mianmian, come in quick.”
Kailin held several files, which turned out to be for talent survival shows. “You’re the one who said if we won the lawsuit, you’d try the singer route. These are the variety shows President Fu and I handpicked. Take a look.”
He had indeed said that. These shows were currently the most popular, with many mentors being highly respected veterans in the music industry. What if I want to choose all of them?
Fu Shiyan stubbed out his cigarette and sat next to him, analyzing them in detail: “This show focuses more on retro songs and creative covers; it suits someone with solid vocal skills. This other one has a long recording period and many contestants, but the competition is fiercer—it would be good training for you…”
Xu Zhimian was stunned. He had to admit, when Fu Shiyan got serious, he was very convincing. Worried as Xu Zhimian was zoning out, Fu Shiyan’s warm palm covered the back of his hand, giving it a squeeze.
Xu Zhimian instinctively curled his fingers, feeling the warmth of Fu Shiyan’s large palm. This time… he really did zone out.
In the end, after discussing with Kailin, they settled on the program The Gifted Voice. After seeing Kailin out, Xu Zhimian was pulled into Fu Shiyan’s arms. He pressed him, asking if he was still angry.
At first, Xu Zhimian said yes, but he was pinned down and kissed until he was dazed. In his muddled state, he clumsily agreed to let Fu Shiyan back into the bed tonight.
After fooling around for a while, Xu Zhimian buried himself in the man’s chest. Enveloped comfortably in Fu Shiyan’s pheromones, he said softly, “Fu Shiyan, you need to smoke less.”
Fu Shiyan had indeed been smoking heavily lately. He stroked Xu Zhimian’s back, planting a kiss on the top of his head: “As you wish, my Lady Wife.”
Their intimate moment didn’t last long before Fu Shiyan’s phone started ringing incessantly. He held three remote meetings in a row. Since Xu Zhimian had no schedule today, he sat on the sofa watching Fu Shiyan work.
When Fu Shiyan was working, his aura was incredibly sharp, with “Do Not Approach” written all over his face. Xu Zhimian suddenly felt the urge to see another expression on that cold, professional face.
Fu Shiyan rejected a proposal submitted by an employee, saying coldly, “I gave you two weeks, and you handed me a plan full of loopholes?”
In the video conference, the account manager was sweating under the questioning, not daring to make a sound for a long time. The others were trembling, fearing they would be next.
A hand reached into a trouser leg. Warm fingers traced the lines of his calf. Fu Shiyan’s frozen face showed a slight crack.
Xu Zhimian was kneeling under the desk, blinking innocently up at Fu Shiyan. He stared straight at him, his hand moving restlessly upward. Taking advantage of the fact that the camera couldn’t see, Xu Zhimian’s hand moved up from the pant leg along the thigh.
He reached Fu Shiyan’s metal belt buckle and tapped it twice. Fu Shiyan grabbed his hand.
Fu Shiyan’s tone wasn’t as cold as before. He gave a few more instructions, let the manager go, and then muted his microphone.
Xu Zhimian couldn’t break free from his grip, so he mischievously gave his rock-hard abs a sharp pinch. Fu Shiyan shot him a glance, his breathing becoming heavier.
Click.
The metal buckle snapped. Fu Shiyan placed his hand over the belt, his well-defined fingers unhurriedly undoing it. Veins popped on the back of his hand; the sight of him undoing his belt was overflowing with sexual tension.
Fu Shiyan tossed the belt onto the floor. As the meeting reached its conclusion, Fu Shiyan muted to say a few concluding words. Xu Zhimian, naturally, wasn’t going to make it easy for him; his hand reached for the Alpha’s suit trousers and slipped inside.
