[ABO] The Despised One Becomes an Internet Sensation After Marriage - Chapter 40
Chapter 40
Fu Shiyan let out a “tsk.” “Don’t even think about it.”
“…” Xu Zhimian stared at him for several seconds. The real person is right here, so why am I still looking for a video?
He squinted his eyes slightly and tilted his chin up. “…Then wear the tank top for me to see. It’s one or the other.”
“…” It took Fu Shiyan a moment to realize which “grandpa tank top” Xu Zhimian was referring to. He pinched Xu Zhimian’s cheeks and laughed silently. “You really are lust-driven…”
With his cheeks squished together, Xu Zhimian muttered dissatisfactorily, “Hurry up and choose one!”
“The second one.”
Fu Shiyan let go of him and added, “After your surgery is finished.”
Xu Zhimian protested: “No! That’s way too long. It has to be today.”
“Today?” Fu Shiyan rejected him ruthlessly. “Not today.”
“Why?”
“Can your heart handle that kind of stimulation?”
Xu Zhimian: “…”
Finding no better argument to retort with, he gave Fu Shiyan a stealthy glare and scurried back to the hospital bed.
The corners of Xu Zhimian’s upturned eyes were rubbed red; even when he glared, it looked like he was flirting. When he was bullied too hard in bed, he would glare with a flushed face, looking just as seductive.
He wasn’t this good at enticing people back when the “sponsorship” started. Fu Shiyan narrowed his eyes; according to the data Assistant Li investigated, Xu Zhimian hadn’t been with anyone else in these three years… Where on earth did he learn to be like this?
…
Xu Zhimian felt like the least celebrity-like celebrity in existence.
What celebrity is this idle? What celebrity’s husband is more of a manager than their actual manager? What celebrity has their phone confiscated by their own husband?
The scheduled specialist was returning to the country in half a month, and Xu Zhimian was cleared for discharge that afternoon.
Coincidentally, the second filming location for 21 Days had just finished its closing ceremony, so there was no need to return to Yuxi.
Everything sounded great… except for the fact that Fu Shiyan still hadn’t returned his phone.
This time, Xu Zhimian was truly angry. He left Fu Shiyan trailing far behind him, letting him experience the taste of being given the cold shoulder.
Fu Shiyan found it quite amusing; since the drowning, Xu Zhimian’s temper had only grown larger.
He called out to him: “Where are you going by yourself?”
Xu Zhimian paused but continued walking without looking back. “I don’t need you to worry about me. I’m not taking your car; I’ll walk home myself.”
Fu Shiyan rubbed his forehead. “You’re going the wrong way.”
Xu Zhimian stiffened for a moment, then turned around and walked back with a natural expression. As he passed Fu Shiyan, a sudden force hooked around his waist and dragged him into the back of the car.
His body fell onto the back seat. Fu Shiyan’s hand cushioned the back of his head, so it didn’t hurt, but Xu Zhimian was startled, his beautiful eyes widening.
He scrambled up, knitting his brows: “What are you doing!”
Fu Shiyan slammed the car door shut and sat beside him with a composed face, saying nonchalantly, “Taking my wife home.”
Xu Zhimian was both angry and flustered, his face flushing red. “Who’s your wife? You’re the one who said you wanted to divorce me in a year.”
“If we’re divorcing in a year, does that mean I can’t call you ‘wife’ now?”
Xu Zhimian gritted his teeth. “…So you really do still want to divorce me!”
All that talk on the show about it being a lie and not wanting to divorce—as expected, it was all a trick.
“Who said I wanted to divorce you?” Fu Shiyan didn’t expect his logic to be so eccentric, and he found himself getting twisted up in it too. He pinched Xu Zhimian’s chin in warning: “…Don’t ever use the word ‘divorce’ again.”
Xu Zhimian stared at him with wide eyes. He lowered his lashes, looking the picture of grievance. “I’m not allowed to say it, but you are? You can just leave whenever you want in the future—what do you take me for?!”
“…” Fu Shiyan clicked his tongue. “You’ve really developed some skills; you’ve learned how to split hairs.”
Xu Zhimian: “…”
A breath caught in his chest, and he couldn’t quite get it out for a while. He turned his head away and stopped speaking.
Fu Shiyan sensed something was wrong and forced his face back around. He saw Xu Zhimian biting his lower lip hard, a faint mist of tears clouding his eyes—looking beautiful and fragile.
His lower lip was bitten pale as he muttered gloomily, “…Fu Shiyan, you’re a bully.”
“…”
Even though he knew Xu Zhimian was being unreasonable, Fu Shiyan didn’t feel the slightest bit of anger. He wiped away the tear that rolled down from the corner of Xu Zhimian’s eye. “I was wrong. It’s my fault.”
Xu Zhimian sniffled and complained in a soft, tearful voice: “…You confiscated my phone for no reason. You’re overbearing, unreasonable, and dictatorial!”
“You really know how to shift the blame,” Fu Shiyan said, flicking his nose while maintaining a stern face. “Clearly, it’s because you were staring intently at another Alpha’s abs and even took photos to zoom in.”
His tone carried a hint of jealousy that even he hadn’t noticed.
Xu Zhimian froze. He lifted his moist eyes toward Fu Shiyan and leaned in close to his ear, his voice turning joyful: “…Are you jealous?”
“…” The Omega close to him became visibly happy; those damp eyes were incredibly clear, reflecting Fu Shiyan’s tense face—as if… his whole heart and soul were focused on him.
Fu Shiyan’s heart skipped a beat.
Seeing that he didn’t answer, Xu Zhimian changed the question: “What were you thinking during the days I was unconscious?”
Ye Ming had described it to him: Fu Shiyan’s face was terrible, he was in a towering rage, and he directly used his status as Rongguang’s CEO to pressure the show’s shareholders. He had left them with a ruthless warning: “If anything goes wrong with him, don’t even think about continuing 21 Days.”
Only then did the production team truly realize the sheer power behind the name “Fu.” Before, making them apologize at the door was a minor issue; now, if he wanted to, he could shut down the entire show without a problem.
As for what Fu Shiyan was thinking…
Xu Zhimian poked his chest with a finger, saying each word deliberately: “One or the other, answer me!”
“What if I am? What if I’m not?”
If he was, it would prove that Fu Shiyan’s feelings for him… might already be different.
Xu Zhimian was determined to test him. “No dodging! Give me a straight answer!”
“…” Fu Shiyan expressionlessly captured the hand scratching at his heart, pinched his chin, and kissed him deeply. The kiss was hot and intense, completely plundering Xu Zhimian.
This kiss left Xu Zhimian’s entire body weak. Fu Shiyan pulled away slightly and yanked him by the waist; Xu Zhimian tumbled onto Fu Shiyan’s lap. “You… mmph!”
Before he could speak, he was muffled again.
Fu Shiyan kissed fiercely. Xu Zhimian had no power to resist; he was kissed into a daze, his tear-streaked eyelashes brushing against his face as a haze filled his eyes.
Fu Shiyan kneaded the soft flesh at his waist and gave his chin a hard bite. Xu Zhimian let out a muffled groan.
They embraced face-to-face. Fu Shiyan looked at the disoriented Xu Zhimian, his voice low and magnetic: “That’s my answer.”
Xu Zhimian covered the spot where he had been bitten, his heart feeling like it was dripping with honey. He said gleefully: “You are jealous!”
“Why are you jealous?” Xu Zhimian pressed on curiously.
“…” Fu Shiyan was momentarily speechless.
Xu Zhimian pushed further: “Tell me, why are you jealous?”
Why was he jealous?
Fu Shiyan felt the situation spiraling in a direction he hadn’t even had time to think through.
After a long while, he replied with a stiff face: “Don’t forget your status. I said no cheating—even mental cheating.”
Xu Zhimian had heard this a thousand times and was now immune. He won’t answer directly and just uses other words to brush me off.
Regardless, one day he would make Fu Shiyan admit it.
Xu Zhimian nodded perfunctorily. “Got it, got it.”
“If I catch you lusting after another Alpha again…”
Before he could finish, Xu Zhimian propped his hands on Fu Shiyan’s shoulders, his eyes lighting up. “Then what will you do?”
Preferably a ‘battle’ of three hundred rounds.
Seeing the lustful glint in his eyes, Fu Shiyan pinched half of his face and said: “…I’ll ban you from using electronic devices for half a month.”
“How can you be like this!” Xu Zhimian felt the mood instantly deflate. The light of expectation in his eyes died out, and he muttered dissatisfactorily: “What kind of Alpha behaves like you!”
“What kind of Omega lusts after other Alphas while married?”
“I wasn’t lusting after another Alpha,” Xu Zhimian threw a heavy punch at Fu Shiyan’s shoulder. “You idiot, I took the photo because someone in the comments posted the search keywords for the footage of you in the grandpa tank top!”
Fu Shiyan: “…”
