- Chapter 4 - The Green Tea Transmigrates on the Fourth Day
A soft, warm sensation, carrying a cool fragrance, brushed past the lips and was gone in an instant.
Tiny currents, like clinging silk threads, spread over both of them.
An unfamiliar tingling sensation swept through.
Meng Ziqing uncomfortably flinched her shoulder.
“Ugh…” Meng Ziqing whimpered.
Her fair little hand covered the lower half of her face, meeting Qin Yue’s eyes.
The disbelief in both their eyes was practically identical.
The difference was that Meng Ziqing’s eyes still held a residue of wet mist; her long, curly hair was messily stuck to her fair, rosy cheeks, making her look like a bullied kitten, pitiful and wronged.
Looking around, Su An’an was dumbfounded, unable to believe what she had just witnessed.
“That was my first kiss, you know,” Meng Ziqing choked out in distress, “It’s gone…”
“And, it was lost so casually…” She felt terribly wronged.
They said first kisses were supposed to be romantic.
This wasn’t romantic at all.
Her eyes were tearful and misty, almost swollen like fried eggs from grievance.
Meng Ziqing had just insisted on sharing a room with Qin Yue, dramatically acting out slander and false accusations, almost dying to portray herself as a romantic idealist with a heart dedicated to someone.
Finally, she tried to kiss the other person’s cheek.
And now her first kiss was gone, and she was sniffling.
“Hiss… I’m sorry…”
Qin Yue’s temple began to throb. Her alabaster-like ears were quietly flushed into a beautiful rose color. She turned her head away, pressing her hand to her lips, her cool eyes lowered, and her long, curled lashes casting a small shadow.
The people around them were now completely dumbfounded. With all the reversals and surprises, only if Qin Yue and Meng Ziqing kissed again would their tumultuous inner world surge with more waves.
They kissed, right? Even if it was an accident, they kissed!
Ninety Days of Love had only just begun recording for half a day, and it was already this explosive?
The cameraman stabilized the excitement in his heart and held his camera steady.
He had a premonition that, just based on these two female guests, this show was definitely going to be a hit!
“It was just an accident,” Gu Yang gritted his teeth, his eyes so red they looked like they were dripping blood, “It was only an accident, nothing more!”
“Yeah, an accident, an accident, just a coincidence. Qingqing, Qin Yue, don’t take it to heart,” Jian Weilin stepped in to smooth things over.
He rubbed his nose. The coincidence was too coincidental; even he didn’t believe it was just chance.
Losing her first kiss was completely unexpected for Meng Ziqing. The dark camera lens reflected the scene in the room, and for the first time, she felt “regret.”
Realizing that this scene might be edited and broadcast nationwide by the unscrupulous production team, shame washed over her, flushing Meng Ziqing’s face red.
Meng Ziqing lowered her head and noticed she was still clutching Qin Yue’s sleeve.
She retracted her hand as if she had received an electric shock, instinctively wanting to back away and put distance between herself and Qin Yue.
She took one step back but accidentally twisted her ankle and stumbled.
The sensation of losing balance rushed to her brain. A flicker of panic crossed Meng Ziqing’s eyes, and she reached out, grasping at thin air.
It’s over…
Meng Ziqing thought in despair.
The second before she was about to fall, a powerful hand firmly grasped her wrist, followed by a sudden force that pulled her up.
Time seemed to slow down in her perception at that moment.
Rare panic appeared in the cool, aloof face of Qin Yue, in her blue eyes.
Meng Ziqing stumbled into Qin Yue’s arms from the inertia, her heart still pounding with lingering fear.
“That scared me to death…” she whimpered.
Qin Yue patted her back comfortingly: “It’s okay now…”
Meng Ziqing’s eyes were misty with tears. She lifted her head and could see Qin Yue’s alabaster-like neck and her rosy lips.
Meng Ziqing looked at Qin Yue’s slightly parted, rosy thin lips, which had a thin layer of tempting moisture. She swallowed, feeling a little thirsty.
Her slender fingers involuntarily tightened their grip on Qin Yue’s lapel.
Perhaps the accidental, lost first kiss was not romantic.
But after being rescued by a hero, a kiss is inherently a romantic thing.
In that moment, Meng Ziqing didn’t know what she was thinking, or rather, she wasn’t thinking at all.
Anyway, she closed her eyes and kissed her.
